Name: Alirien (Ali) Ten

Gender: Male

Age: 29

Birthdate: July 1st

Patrol: New Eve

Appearance: Ali is pretty average by all accounts, olive green eyes that don't really stand out unless he's sending a scathing glare, which he often is, are his main focal point. His hair is usually kept back in a loose ponytail and is a sandy brown color. It hangs roughly to mid-shoulder blade. He would have it neat and cleanly cropped short if not for the fond memories of his younger sisters weaving flowers and braids into his hair when he was little.

Personality: Ali is a bit of an odd one. He is completely distrusting of anyone of the male gender, and any male who happens to be beneath him in rank, or simply younger than himself, he demands and expects them to do perhaps more than they should be capable of. Young children and girls, he is the proverbial mother hen. He will watch over them like a hawk, and any females that get into his small circle of friends he adopts as surrogate sisters, and has their best interests in mind (though his actions concerning those interests can come off as harsh and overbearing). Any chance of one of his girls putting themselves into a dangerous situation and h is off like a rocket.

Excluding his gender biases, Ali has a sharp temper to him that is backed up with with scathing glares and a biting tongue. He can argue with the best of them and has mastered the art of a "woman's scorn" when dealing out just punishments in a no-nonsense tone of voice. Only his wolf companion can douse the flames of his anger.

History: By all accounts, Ali had a pretty normal childhood. He was the second child, and had two younger sisters born three years after him. His older sister never was fond of having to be the baby sitter, so the day that Ali was old enough, he claimed the job for himself. His sisters needed somebody to be the strong arm and watch over them, their parents were too busy to keep an eye out on the small children underfoot. Once his sisters were all at the ages where boys started to notice them, and they noticed boys, Ali took up the role of overprotective 'you do not touch my girls' male of the house. Obviously his older sister wasn't exactly happy with having him chase off her dates by running after them yelling like a banshee when he was just ten.

Being surrounded by only his sisters at all hours of the day, Ali just grew to not trust men at all, no, hate them. His father just managed barely to get out of the category seeing as he was, after all, blood related. His parents thought that such an upbringing wasn't the best chance for him to prove all that he was worth, and arranged for him to be sent to the Academy for a real education. And to hopefully break him of the nasty little habit of hating men.

Ali's issues with the male gender only escalated though the first year away, before settling back into a somewhat manageable loathing. He'd made quick friends with some of his female classmates and just avoided any male contact that he possibly could, while soaking up everything the lessons had to offer. He didn't bond with a wolf on his first, second, or third try. He was eighteen by the time he bonded, to a female pup much to his relief, and he settled in to the new routine as well as he could. Having the new female presence with him was certainly a large help, the males didn't bother him as much as they could when he had that rock to fall back on.

Dust

Name: Gold Dust

Gender: Female

Age: 11

Birthdate: Winter

Patrol: New Eve

Rank: Gamma

Appearance: A rich chocolate brown pelt that gradually lightens just a bit to her back, Gold Dust's fur is broken only by a golden curved streak from each eye down to her jaw line, a matching curl at the tip of her muzzle. A few random curved lines of gold are at her hip, then each leg is dusted with specks of the gold hue trailing down to each paw. Her most notable feature are her eyes, a crisp, clear blue in color that stand out against the bulk of her pelt.

Personality: Gold Dust is a very loyal wolf. She puts her and hers before everything else, and all that she does concerns Ali in some way or another. She is much quicker to forgive than her rider, and doesn't fault anyone for being male. They can't help their gender, though she is of the mindset that perhaps the males aren't as competent as a female would be in any given situation. She shares her rider's "mother hen" traits, though not nearly as strongly, when encountering younger wolves. She is first and foremost a disciplinarian, before she'll consent to anything else.

History: Gold Dust didn't stand out much in her litter. The whole lot was more lively and vivid, carrying more of the gold tones than she was given. She didn't really mind it though, she liked the little bit of privacy that gave her, being overlooked. It gave her more time to nap while her siblings spent all their energy where she didn't have to deal with an impromptu wrestling match with ear pulling. She didn't really see much of a point in having to meet recruits and bond off either, when the time came. Her siblings were all more than eager to though and she gladly let them barrel past her to find theirs first.

The first row of recruits didn't interest her much at all, the most interesting in that batch was just plotting how they'd rise to the top and never fall, which was boring and too much work to try for. In the next row however, she felt a little spark of something that pulled her interest. A male trying to keep as much distance between himself and his fellow males, with nothing but distaste for the lot of them. Now that was different. But thinking on her litter mates, the male cubs had all been rather useless, so this could be an interesting partner to make. Settling her mind on it, she padded towards the teen to sit right there at his feet and bask in this nice, comfortable feeling of belonging as it washed over them both. Yes, a nice choice, this would be interesting.
