Hi guys! :3 Here's the thread where I give you the rules and guidelines and whatnot, so this thing doesn't end up an epic fail, lol. Just give them a good look, and I'm sure we'll be fine. surprised Follow the ToS-Since we are a part of Gaia, we're required to follow their ToS. -If you don't, I'll be mad. surprised Make sure your RP is in Learania or in the chronicle of Learania events.-Since this is a form for canon RPs, it obviously has to take place somewhere within the continent. -If you're making an RP that takes place after Halloween, but before Christmas, make sure you don't reference something that is only found out in Easter. Stay in canon, and in character.-Make sure you don't talk about stuff that didn't actually happen in canon -Obviously, you'll want to stay in character, so you don't look dumb, to be blunt. Follow the other guild rules.-We have them for a reason, so you should follow them. -They don't magically not apply, just because you come in here, and RP. - Refer here for RP expectations. RP and have fun!-I'm hoping that this forum will be a big success, and we'll have great canon adventures! -If you don't have fun, I'll be sad. u_u; Well, I guess that's it for me! Getting In Eeeeep! Hi, hi, Fefga here, to help you figuritilize out hows tah get yoself in, a'fore you wreck yoself! Bunchers of people want to roller-play, and some are new. Here's some ways to help fit in betterishlike! biggrin Suggestions on how to bring in your character- Create a RP and brainstorm what the plot will be. (Make sure it stays between Learania event). - Introduce your character into the RP. (Some threads will not allow newcomers, so you need to ask permission from the owner.) Developing your character, Learania style- Make sure your character is in canon and not out of character. - Interact with other characters, you may even create a support with the character. - If there's a battle, you can have your character join in and grow stronger. (Metaphorically leveling up) Keep track of your OC- See which character is interacting with your character. - Read new posts to see if the action changes. - Know what level your character is at; meaning, how strong you think your character is. - No LEGENDARY weapons from other world in the canon RP. We have our own Legendary weapons for this world. We don't need more than it is. Guidance about your power level staying below 9000- No godmodding. Your character is not invincible. - Be realistic in how fast and well your character grows. - If you feel that your character has been first tier for an acceptable amount of time, you can promote to the second tier. Questions and Answers Yay! Time to answer the questions! I feel like I'm in a talk show. whee What kinds of things am I not allowed to do?Anything that isn't related to Learania (Such as Sci-fi or a different continent of Fire Emblem) or not following the chronological of the events. You want to take those to FE RP subforum. That is the place you want to RP.
Also, no l33t, Out Of Plot, or too random (ie: Anvil falling on your head, pulling a TNT out of your pocket) in this subforum too. If you do those, I WILL DESTROY YOUR THREAD AND YOUR BASE!!!!! scream
In addition, no legendary weapons from FE worlds, such as Armads or Audhulma. We have created FEF legendary weapons for this canon world. We have enough weapons as they are now. We don't need more additional legendary weapons from FE worlds or else it will cause extremely off balance (not to mention, created one team more godlike) in the world.What kinds of things should I talk to the crew about first?Anything that concerns your mind. It can be your idea, plot, or OC.What time of day is it in the forum now?Depends on the RP threads. Some will say daytime and some will say nighttime. If you are unsure about the time, you can ask the owner of the thread or the RPers about the time.My RP takes place in multiple places. Now.... You don't need to wait for the holiday. In this subforum, you can post what happens to your character. YAY!!! xd
As for the bad guy..... Well, that depends on your bad guy's background. If you have a big bad guy like that meanie Loki or a big high hierarchy bad girl like the baroness woman, then you can't. However, if your character is a Mini-boss or minor role bad guy, then you can play. And if you have a weird character like Siegell, that's fine too. 3nodding I want to make my OC from this continent. Can I?As long as it's a normal and regular character (ie: mercenary, solider, citizen, etc), then yes, you can. However, if you are trying to make hierarchy characters like the king of Estarcia or the meanie god Loki, then that's a no no. Those types of characters are the key essential to the event plot.
If you are concern about your character, feel free to discuss it with the crew.I wanna promote my character. Can my character go into second/third tier? : DIt is your responsibility to decide when your character will be promoted. However, you need to know that you shall not jump too quickly to promote your character (aka: Lvl 5 Mercenary to become Lvl 20 Hero after two battles). The crew feels that this is unfair for your character to develop, in addition to hacking and godmodding. If the crew finds a hacked character, we will force our action onto the accused RPer.
So don't rush in to get your character promoted. Your character will continue to level during the battle. When you feel that it is time for your character to promote, then you can do so.I want to kill the certain character. Can I?If it's genetic enemies or genetic people if playing the bad guy, then yes, you can kill the characters. However, if it's the RPer's character, it will be best to discuss it with the RPer (and/or maybe the crew). We feel that you have no rights to take other characters' lives unless the RPers give an okay. In addition, if you want to kill your character, please discuss it with the crew or the RPer about this. They may or may not agree with the idea.Hey! What's the difference between the event, RP forum, and this?The difference between the event and this subforum is the time setting. The event subforum takes place during the holiday (such as Christmas and Guildaversary) while this subforum takes place in between the holidays. Both subforums are placed in Learanian canon and following the events of what happen to our characters. However, it is only the timeline that separates them.
In addition, we will be closing one subforum at the time. When the holiday comes, this subforum will be closed. Once the holiday is over, it will be reopened again. This way, the RPer will not stress out of going back and forth between the subforums.
As for the RP forum, it has no relations to the chronology of what happens in the event. So if you've read the first question (Do I have to repeat myself? scream ), you will know the difference between this subforum and the RP forum.What is canon?Wikipedia A canon, in terms of a fictional universe, is a body of material that is considered to be "genuine," or that can be directly referenced as material produced by the original author or creator of a series. Basically, something that is canonical can be thought of as having "actually happened" in that fictional universe.
Adding different personality to the canon character will make the character OOC (out of character). For example:
Canon: Rath is a lone wolf and not very talkative.
Non-canon: Rei loves wearing pink, frilly dress. (  )
So if you want to place your Fire Emblem character into the Events or RPs but don't know how to act, it is best to do research of the certain character's background, mannerisms, and speaking style (ie:supports, historic background, etc) before RPing them.
OCs (original character) are slightly different from canon character. Unlike the canon character, the OC is not created by the original creator of Fire Emblem, but from the minds of RPers such as yourself. If you are creating an OC, you can do as you wish, but within limits! However, make sure that the OC is not too random. Otherwise, RPers will not respond to your post. sweatdrop
Watch out for the dreaded Mary Sue syndrome- this test is a good way to see if you fall in that category. Many veteran RPers will generally not interact with your character, for instance, if their name is Sparkle McRainbowBright, or if they try to come off as invincible or irresistible. Just use common sense, give your character room to grow, and they can fit right into our Event RPs.Can I make a futuristic RP of Learania?Sorry, but that's a no no. Only past and present are allowed. However, if you wish to make a futuristic RP of Learania, you can do it in the FE RP forum. Can I make a leet RP?CAN'T YOU READ THE FIRST QUESTION!!!! NO!!! scream I don't see my character in the Tales of Learania? Why isn't my character in it?Sorry, but those are for key essential characters. If you have an OC, you can post yours in the Guild OCs.-Hold it! Siegell isn't the key essential! Why is he in there?! He's an enigma. You can't tell which side he will be on. Besides, Siegell threatened me to put him in there or else he will kill shota. crying Can I add my picture in the Tales of Learania? It looks plain.It depends on the picture. If the picture is related to the topic, we may post it in. If not, then you should post it in the Out of Learania RP.
However, if you want to, feel free to contact Tibarn or Ganon and he'll see if your picture is acceptable or not.I have a great idea, but I'm afraid that the crew will butcher it. What should I do? T _ T The crew don't butcher the ideas; so don't be afraid. You can tell them your ideas. If they don't like it, they will explain to you why.
