I will never forget the amazing times I had with Sonic the Hedgehog and all the Streets of Rage games. I really miss all the side scrolling action of the old school consoles.

I miss Sonic 2. Codes still imprinted in my head, 19,65,9,17 hold "A" at title screen and hit "Start." Jurassic Park game code still in my head, NYUKNYUK. Always remember the codes you used all the time lol. Still remember the Aladin game code, AABBAABBA, even though I hardly played it. Or was that ABACABA?... One of those is the Blood code to Mortal Kombat and the other is to Aladin, but I forget which goes where...

*brushes away the cobwebs* *coughs* A little dusty. Hm! So ok, yeah the Sega Genesis. I liked it just fine, but it was kind of an unoriginal in my mind, a cheap substitute to the TurboGraFX-16 and not possessing an impressive array of software (or hardware. 32X, guhhk). I mean I know it followed up NES and took it to the cleaners, but it wasn't playing in the same arena. Now the Mastersystem, there was a great system. Seriously, R-Type, Thunder Blade, Fantasy Zone, and Sagaia, oh my god some choice SHMUPS. I never had it so good. Then of course the Genesis had Thunderforce III and Lightening Force so it raised the ante like a mile high. Then you play games like Bio Hazard Battle, Rush Whip, Truxton, Arrow Flash, Gaiares, and Air Buster so obviously there's no slouching in the Sega camp, but out of no where the SNES blew it out the stratosphere (Phalanx, UN Squadron, Space Mega Force, Darius Twin, Super Nova, Axelay, R-Type III, Biometal, D-Force, Aero Fighters, Firepower 2000, Pocky & Rocky, Strike Gunner, Gradius III, and that's not even mentioning the rock-your-socks platformers , fighters, and RPGs. I could go for days). It's no wonder it was the perfect haymaker to the Gen's repertoire. Though lets back up, I'm getting to be a little more biased than I'm comfortable with. I'm sure the Genesis following is well-founded. Its an icon and a classic for Pete's sake. So; Sega Genesis, Good. Love it. Wouldn't get rid of it for all the grapes in Italy. 5 Stars! ...I just prefer the 6-Star SNES more. Ciao.
