Afternoon, everyone! It's that wonderful time again this month where we discuss things about the clan, events and zOMG!. Unlike last time where I had nothing, this time I have something! Discussing for this week: Update to the old front page of the Clan Thread. I would not only like to update it graphically, but with better information as well. So, if you can think of anything that needs to be taken out and added in, I appreciate it. I know we all thought it was a good idea to into a White List. Users who aren't members of the clan, but very special close friends of ours. Second thing I like to discuss is what Qixter has been entering lately in his journal. If you haven't subscribed to it yet, I suggest you do. Any way, I'm mostly concerned with this latest entry: Link. The main subject on this entry is about Gaia's financial situation and how zOMG! can "help" it. This thread here is located in Site feedback and discusses some points that need to be addressed about what Qixter is doing and how it will effect the users. Please read both links if you can and post your thoughts. I want to know your ideas and thoughts for your future play with zOMG!. Being a zOMG! Clan, I think this is something that we should certianly look at. Thirdly, there is Prom, or the Masquerade... whatever it will be called. It starts on May 28th; this gives us a little time to see if we want to set a thread up in a section of the event or what. Open Floor.

I'm not sure if I'm going to play zOMG a lot in the future, but I'll be around for the clan.
I never really got into zOMG, it's a huge grind fest. I've never even fought the endboss.
I think I'm going to stick to Dofus.

I'm not against the idea of having pay to use power ups in zOMG, it's a common feature in many MMORPGs. But allowing cash shop users to completely circumvent any portion of the game is inexcusable, in other games GMs have been banned for allowing friends to skip past parts of the game, it's a similar thing here.
And speaking of zOMG, I'm still not really playing it xp

Depending on how zOMG! changes, I'll still play its free stuff.
White list is okay, as long as we really know the people on it. And don't let it get too big. After all, we should still encourage people to apply to the clan. I think White List will be good for ex-members who left for non-bad reasons.

About the white list. We could use it for people that want to post, and check us out. Think of it as a trial run. After a certain amount of time they could then decide if they want to join the clan or not. If they do then they can join. If they chose not to they get taken off the list.
I think it would be cool to have our own thread for the prom. That way we can all hang out there have fun, and enjoy the event. 3nodding

No matter what is introduced to zOMG, I won't play it. Cash shop only portions were predictably soon to come, but as ID said, skipping part of the game by paying money is just lame.
I've also been juggling a few MMO's but I haven't been able to choose one that I really want to get into yet.
and we only need a thread for the event if there's a point to it, like a forum based game or something, otherwise there isn't really a point.

As for zomg I never play it anymore, maybe if they come out with a new area I'd get back into it, I just can't fight the same critters anymore

Remember folks, think about what needs to be out of the first page and what should be put in. White List was something that came up a long time ago, not anything new.

I believe the White List idea is great. I see no problems with it.
Also the front page looks good, but could use a bit more stuff I guess. I'm not exactly sure what, but I'll try to come up with an idea in the future.
Now for zOMG! All I can say is I can see this game being a huge cash cow. I agree completely with the thread. Its as if there saying "Its not cool to use gold/virtual money to help yourself in the game. But if you put a bit more money in our pockets, feel free to skip a part or two." Which is just ridiculous. The entire idea is just a joke. You should have never even considered it. As for the soul bounding powers ups. It makes me a bit angry. Its MAKING us use rl money to play a game. Which annoys me. The game isn't even all that good right now in my opinion. I barely play because of the huge lag, so why would I waste my time and money playing a game that isn't even complete. Well that's all I have to say for now. I hope zOMG! staff understand what there doing soon.

Of course, something like that can't be updated easily. But it's just an idea.

I don't really play zOMG because of the lag. I could see paying cash if they added extras to the game, not to skip some parts. Where is the fun in that.
About the front page. I think it could use a little bit of work. It's been like that forever now. I need to look at it first to see what I think needs to be changed. Since I'm leaving for work, I'll post back later.

But it's just an idea. I was thinking about that Tony. I should be able to come up with something. Maybe people could send me pictures of their avatars wearing the TROGK colors. Or maybe even something along the lines of the wingding shirts.

We could put in a better description of what they should expect to see inside, besides meetings, unless that should stay confidential.
There is a description of the guild down, and the idea of some sort of group image already suggested, maybe a cheesy paragraph of how TROGK can change your life? xd
or uhm. Smexy art of TROGK members? xd
On the Qixter note, I had a feeling something like that would come. I rarely play zOMG as it has been FAR too frustrating of an application, it loves to die on me and slow on me a lot, I guess because I live way out in the ocean, but it only proves the capabilities of Gaia's servers to me.
If we do have to start paying for it, I wonder how that will work, maybe they will allow us to stay in the already opened area of zOMG, but when they open and launch the other places like Durem and other such areas we will have to pay, but in a sort of way where it's "part fo the story line". We'd prolly have to pay for a "ferry fee" or "busing fee" jsut so it looks more appealing =P

I fully agree with you, Zen. When I did play Flyff, the user had to purchase a teleport item to get to a new area, besides traveling by an air vehicle. We shall see what will happen and how it will effect us. Let me see... Inside TROGK: Meetings Fan Fictions Media Center Multi-Media Center And other stuffs...
