The age old question: What do you like better, the anime or the manga of Fma?
I personally can't choose...but if I had to......*thinks* maybe the anime because it has adorable Wrath. whee But I don't know, I still need to get ahead on my manga. *can't wait for Volume 18 to come out in the US and has to go to friend's house to read it online*

I like the anime a bit better, because it has Dante, and she makes everything more elegant during the last few episodes. She is one of my favorite antagonists! But the manga is more detailed, and has Olivia. It's really funny to make comparisons to the anime Sloth and the manga Sloth xD
But if I have to choose between the anime of the manga and the original anime, then it would be either a tie or the new series.

~{Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. This is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange.}~Yeah depending on how the manga ends, I'll see which I like better. I hate the anime's ending even WITH the movie, so the manga better be good. -_- ~{Saruna-chan is Alphonse Elric's #1 fan.}~

I think the manga is by far better. Usually, that's always the case for every series. Why do I prefer it? Eh, it's hard to explain. I just don't like how the anime switched things up.

While both have their merits, I have to say I like the manga somewhat better.
Though I love how the 2003 anime had a great twist with the Homunculi and the Dante arc, the manga is shaping up to have a surprisingly huge dramatic plot, and I have to say, I love the crisp art style of the manga.

How about the new anime based on the manga?! whee Although the first anime is what got me started, I love the original story that inspired it. The characters have bigger roles and it gets more in depth with them.

I personally love the manga - the first anime was a slight fail compaired to the manga. Now that they have this new anime I love the manga even more. Brotherhood and the manga are totally awesome.
- Much deeper and better storyline - No other-wordly-portal junk - No hypnotized-Rose-is-major-character junk - The Xing guys! (Ling, Mei, and Lanfan! heart ) - More Edwin whee and Al has someone too! Yay! (Mei) whee - Hoho's not a compleate [insert mean insults here]. - No Envy-is-Ed-half-brother-or-whatever junk
Lol I could keep going on but I won't. The only better part about the first anime that is better is that it has more Sheska in it, but still I love the manga and Brotherhood anime waaaaay more 3nodding
Honsetly didn't mean to slam the first anime but this is just the truth in my opinion. Totally respect people who like the first anime better smile
