Okie dokie. I've created us a G.I.B. Battle clan. The name G.I.B. was already taken. If a thoughtful agent reserved the name, please step forward. If not, apparently someone stole it. gonk Anyway. And... since I've been completely out of the loop about zomg and battle clans and etc... someone please tell me exactly what I just created. gonk

Brains.... A clan is like a guild created exclusively for Battle. The only practical use for it is in the in-game chat, where there is a special "channel" for Clan chat. So you can find each other, or arrange projects bigger than a six-person crew allows.

The automated accepted PM has the subject "You have been declined to join the clan"
despite it being an acceptance message. xd
Alright TIM, I had ownership of the Beta clan, but I didn't get G.I.B. on this one. The fact that there is already a clan registered could be an artifact of that clan or it could mean that someone took it.
Anyway, the Clan works almost exactly like a guild. It has forums, crew, and the like just the same. The difference is, one can ONLY belong to one clan, and members of the same clan share a channel in Zomg, much the same as Guild Chat in World of Warcraft or Guild Wars.
The Guild chat is built upon the (somewhat glitchy) Gaia Instant Messenger System. I don't think it ever actually worked in tests. But It'll probably work now that its connected to the live server... I hope.

Okay, that clears things up, I suppose. I was wondering if it made our guild obsolete, but since some agents might want to be in a different clan, I guess not. Wonder what we should use it for...

Aznburninator Apologies, but I'm siding with the GR on this. Though, TIM, if you remember that idea considering a H2K6-only Clan, the idea is still fresh! I totally forgot about that. But yeah, I understand that some people have loyalties outside of the GIB, and you can only pick one. I think we'll stick with GIB only for now. I don't know how things are going to go, since everyone can't even play yet. Still have to play it by ear. Ryu, did you delete your GIB guild somehow? Because the name still isn't available. I think it might be gone forever.

Hey, TIM. What about changing the name to "Gaians in Black: GIB". That way it will be easier to find. No one can find it with the extra dot at the end. "G.I.B." is just awkward.
