If you haven't already noticed, the GCD has been turned on it's head by the removal of fan-threads and other permanent threads. I'm not sure how the new changes will effect our ability to inform the community of any updates or dangers in regards to the situations we cover. Any comments?

I hate the fan threads.
They always end up making my topics die by being out-posted in.

I think the Fanthreads should have been moved to GCP rather than Friends' Chat.
Though it is understandable why they had to be moved in the first place.

I think the fanthreads should have gotten a subforum.  They're discussing Gaia, a little, and they're going to get swarmed by noobs in Friends Chat.

Yeah, I don't see why everyone's panicking. The fanthreads were almost better suited to being guilds, anyway. I mean, they had memberlists...
I think this clears up more room for topics that would otherwise get booted off by them, like Zi said.

Fanthreads, discussing nothing more than "omgz liam luks hawt", or "lyk omgz whrs da werwulfs??!1". They should be moved to the recycle bin, because there's a friggin' million of them around Gaia, if not a few official fan guilds.
Besides, this means more room for the worthless Box threads and MC threads. And who doesn't want more of those?

The NPC parody thread got moved. I'm pissed off. It came up with the official idea for editing comics for humor, years before Gaia started it. Now, Gaia has a bunch of "official" editing threads in the GCD and they move the one they steal the idea off of? ******** that.

DUDE! TRUTH ABOUT TIMMY GOT MOVED! ;_____; That's horrible. It wasn't a fan thread, it was a discussion about the whole Evolving Items plot, because no one else bothers to discuss. How the heck are you guys happy about these forums leaving? These were what made the GCD the GCD. Now it's just worthless threads made by noobs.
Oh, and they kept the Lanzer edit thread, which edits pictures of Lanzer. That's hypocritical.
Gaia Community Discussion: No Community, little to discuss.

Well, I found out why everything was moved. Long standing threads aren't allowed anymore. If the thread gets too long or too old, they get kicked. I think LegionX has found a good use for this. They're making a series of different topics to discuss, advertising their group as well. I think the GIB could do something similar.

It could be I really hated the GCD.
The timmy thread shouldn't have been moved.....
but.... really..... You can discuss plot aspects without fan clubs.
In fact.... I'm really glad the fan clubs are being moved.
I do think they should get a subforum, however.

Yeah, I'm for the subforum, though I still think the TRUTH about TIMMY shouldn't be lumped in.
Half of us don't even like that little parasite!
....But it's still better than FC.
