My band is going to London next year to play in the New Year parade...
Tell us where your band is going and the cool, fun places ya'll have been and share with us any interesting experiences you had.

My sophmore year the band went to Colorado, and it was amazing. We competed in the competition there and it was slightly amusing to see how differently people played when they were up that high in the mountains, because it effected everyone differently. This year we are supposed to go to the Orange Bowl in Florida, but I can't go because I need to save my money for college. It's sad, really.

My band hardly ever goes out of state -.- Our school isn't rich enough to send us many places.
BUT... We got accepted to march in the Veteran's Day parade in New York City, and we can go, since we're only in Connecticut and it's not too far away. And that'll be the farthest away that the band has ever gone (since I've been in band. Last year, though, we had a competition in Rhode Island, and that was further than any of our other competitions).

We've been to Florida for Disney, we've been to Hawaii (Maui) for the King Kamehameha Parade, and I've heard rumors that we may be going to California...but we haven't gone out of the country.
It's actually quite amazing we've gone anywhere because we live in such a small town...I guess it just goes to show that we really are the pride of St.Clair...

We've never even been out of state with our band, not when I was part of it (graduate). Our school as a whole doesn't get enough funding for that, and that doesn't look to change any time soon.
Our school budget allocation for band doesn't even allow us to wash our uniforms for the season. -.- Much less anything else. We have to pay to be in the band program.

My band went to Ireland last year to march in the Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin. Of course, it was the year before I started high school, so I couldn't go.

for band i've been to: san fransisco, great america(santa clara area amusement park), disney land, hayward, san fransisco some more, medford, somwhere out past eugene, a couple of casino's, some other places in oregon, and some other cities in the alameda county area...
the best ones however were the ones were we got to amusement parks aka, the san fransisco trip we took last year, the many times i got to go to GA(also including last years san fran trip), and the disney land trip XD
disney land was insane.
but the best trips have been the ones that i've taken with my elementary school band and my junior high concert band XD all to GA. and of course disney land with my 8th grade symphonic band XD

My band never goes out of state because we'd have to get plane or boat tickets to get out of Alaska. They're expensive too ... >.>
Though, there is this dinky (more dinky than where I live) town we had to go to for our region II music festival. We had to stay at the school and walk across slush to get to where our eating quarters were. Everyone got really sick and it was the worst trip I've ever been on. Luckily, this year's music festival is hosted in Anchorage (an actual city 8D). We're all excited for that.

Last year we went to California (from PA) for the Hollywood parade, this year we might be going to New York for the Macy's parade
