Alright guys, Litha/Yule is finally here! Everyone who signs this guestbook will also receive 200 gold, but only if you post something Litha/Yule related as well. This can be a ritual, an activity, a recipe, a picture, or just anything else you can think of. This party will end on Wednesday, June 25th, 2008. We are currently working on getting the party games/contests up and running. Hopefully they'll be ready for you all to enjoy within the next hour or so (or at least some of them). If you'd like to do some word searches, there are two in this month's issue of the guild newspaper. You can find them here. You can do both if you want, and each one will get you 500 gold! weeeee! *runs around* Happy Litha/Yule!
well, yesterday I figured out an easy way to make a crown (by accident, lol). Take three stems of wheat, strong grass, or another appropriate plant, and braid them together. If they're long enough, they'll start to curve (or at least it did for me) you can tie the ends together with another stem or a blade of grass, or a string if you prefer. Flower stems can be stuck into the small holes in the braid, with the flowers upwards. I'm sure you can stick in other things, such as feathers, if you like. I used short stems, so it was only big enough for my cat, but she looked pretty in it sweatdrop lol. Also, they can be used as decorations. I used yellow flowers, so it reminded me of a Sun Goddess.

Here's a picture of my altar, all dolled up for Litha. (and yes, one of the petals on that rose is black... I salvaged it from some emo-looking valentine gift... XD) A few minutes after taking this picture, I put quite a few stones on my altar, like pyrite and ruby, and a little baggie of assorted gemstones I got from our local "occult" store. Anyway, here it is! (It's a link because the image is huge.) Alterness!I also wrote two haikus, one for the sun and one for the moon. If you want, I'll share them.

I have dressed my avi up for the ocasion. He is an animal like creature with a animal skin on his head. There horns represent the god, and the fire represents his power and how it is strongest today of all days. the animal half show the god in the sence that he is a skilled hunter, and is only there to help you see he is the god. The animal at his feet are also a emphasis on that. So i thought it was fun to do...^_^ ill post more later, but thats what i got for now... hay, do we have a contest for dressing for the holiday? We should have something like that, or at least a tek tek. But to really do it take more time...^_^ [edit] ignore last statement, just read the avitar contest link...^_^ oops, my bad

Strawberry, I like the blue/white/black thing with the pentacle in the center, what is it made out of and did you make it? and your wand (at least that's what I'm assuming), did you make that? And is that jasper? is the wood naturally like that? Just curious. It looks nice. I haven't managed to find an appropriate branch for a very good wand, yet. When I do it's like, I'd be stuck carry around a stick all day with people wondering. xd haha, sorry to be so snoopy ^_^ I went to visit a Monterey Cypress tree yesterday (which is apparently the largest in the world) and there was a feather underneath it. I look the feather to my altar, it looks exactly like this one does, is it really an Eagle feather?

Well, I'm going to be re-dedicating myself to the Lord and Lady. I'm not sure what is going to happen this time, but It'll probably be really unique, like the last time. Each time is each to its own, I've heard. In other words, it's unique in its own way everytime you do it. The first time was kind of in a hurry, so this time I want it to be special and magickal!

When I do it's like, I'd be stuck carry around a stick all day with people wondering. xd haha, sorry to be so snoopy ^_^ Haha, you're not snoopy at all. XD The thing in the middle with the pentacle is some tile thing I made when I was like 8 years old or something. It was supposed to be 2 dolphins jumping from the ocean, but it needed a tile cutter and I didn't have one... So I did that instead... =] The pentacle was a later addition. And yup, that's my wand. I have no idea what kind of tree it came from, but it's common where I live. When I went to take the stick home to make it, the thing was almost big enough to make a staff... XD As for the wood, the bark has dark and light splotches all over, and I carved the swirl by removing the bark. By jasper, do you mean the stone on the bottom? The one at the bottom is jasper, then there are different colored ones for the chakras in knots in the stick all the way up to the top. The green and blue ones are also visible. Thanks for the compliment! And... I think that looks more like a barn owl's feather. [here]Edit: I just discovered that the tree that I got my wand from is probably American sycamore. It fell in a forest, so I can only tell from the bark and from what's common around here. But I think that's it.

Hopefully I can make up for it today and bake some sunny cupcakes.
