Well, it's been a while since I've been here, and I noticed the slight change of the guild's banner. I've been horribly busy that I hadn't even opened up my Photoshop at all in months. @_@

Anyway, from the looks of it, I think we need to get ourselves known better, and promote the guild a bit more, while having a rich community here to keep the people coming back here frequently. That being said, the method is what's important. ._.

How many of us still have active Mini Shops? If we can add a section in each of our shops to lure other Photoshop users to this guild, then I think it would be the most effective method, while requiring very little work, aside from continuing your businesses in your mini shop. o_o'

And that leads us to simply this. We need an advertisement of the guild for us to use. Of course, each of us can be unique and write our own recommendation for this guild ourselves, but for the guild's part, I think it might be nice to have an image and some text ready for copy and paste.

I think we can just put that in the sticky we have about using banners and such in our sigs/profiles.

Well, maybe more images that looks fresh might work. Also, a short description of the guild in text below the advertisement image for those that may be interested. A banner alone might not convince people to check it out, so we should point out our strengths of this guild in the text and see if people will be interested in joining from those facts.

It'd be nice if the guild offered more for the people as well.. o_o Like tutorials. Tutorials are usually good, and since this is a Photoshop guild, I'd think people joining a Photoshop guild probably wants help with their graphic art skills, so... we could try improving there and call it one of our strengths.

I'm sure we already have a friendly community, right? That's another strength of our guild as well. o_o And.. so on.

I think a stronger promotion might help get more members in this guild, compared to just a banner, so I suggested the text, and depending on how long the text would be, I figured it might not fit well in signatures, thus the thought of it going in our shops, which I would think most Photoshop users would end up having at one point or another. XD

Well there isn't just a banner on the home page. I put multi colored updates above the banner, and there's a guild description below the banner. People could use bit's and pieces of that as text for banners and whatnot, I personally am not that great at writing things like that but if anyone wants to submit them to the banners thread, I'd be more than happy to add them.

If you add tutorials made by someone else, all I ask is that you give that person credit. I'd recommend posting the link to where you got the tutorial from. I'll see if I can find some around too that I particularly like when I get some free time.

I see there's a registered guilds forum, have you tried posting a thread there? I'd help keep it bumped and chat there. smile I've also seen guilds around with front page image layouts. Like, instead of text on the front page, they just have a big nicely-done image with words on it. Perhaps that would add more appeal?

Edit: I see a lot of members with 0 posts on the memberlist. Maybe you can kick them out and PM them saying that if they want to come back they need to post?

well i'm in maybe we can make it a promotion event where anyone who's interested, we can open sort of a marketplace with each artist has his/her own stall displaying their work up for order (just a random idea)....also would you think about deleting the inactive posts that no longer have any responses(i'm not sure if you can do that as i've never had a guild) and as someone suggested remove the users who have 0 posts under their name ?

I don't think that would work, people would probably use other peoples art without even asking. I already made the requests forum, we shall see how it goes. I'm not going delete old threads, the could be useful or whatever to newer members. And I'm not going to delete the members with zero posts, I just don't want to. I don't know why you're not listed as a member, maynbe it's a gaia glitch or something. o.o
