General Rules and Regulations

These are guidelines that must be followed while in this forum. Please read carefully and follow accordingly.

Basic Etiquette
1. Be nice. The world is a happier place with a smile on your face! Whining is highly discouraged
2. Read, read, READ!! Please read all the procedural rules in the workshop. Sometimes they will be different, so please be sure to read carefully.
3. No begging of any kind permitted. This includes begging for a pet, opening of custom or breeding slots, etc.
4. You must follow all of the guidelines on this thread. If you do not, we reserve the right to refuse the job (based upon how severe the offense is).
5. What staff says, goes. Please do not question the staff about any decisions they make, for usually the staffer has already gone to management to make sure it was a-okay.
6. Please do not create new threads in this forum. Any unauthorized threads created in this forum will result in deletion and a warning. Repeated offenses will lead to grey-listing.
7. For employees only: Please read and become familiar with the Colorist Guidelines. Thanks!

Custom Guidelines

These are guidelines that must be followed in order for you to purchase a custom kitsusagi. Please read carefully and follow accordingly.

Basic Etiquette
1. All prices are found in each workshop, as well as the colorist's custom slots.
2. Please read all the procedural rules in the workshop. Sometimes they will be different, so please be sure to read carefully.
3. If a workshop says that customs are not available at the moment, please do not approach the colorist asking when they will open. All slot openings are based upon the colorist's availability.
4. You may only purchase ONE custom slot total each month. This means you cannot take multiple slots with one colorist or take a slot from two different colorists.
5. When cosplay slots are available, you may only grab ONE custom per three months. These slots are highly sought after, so we want to make them available to a larger population.

Cosplay Guidelines
1. At the moment, Cosplay customs are not available. We want to boost the other species in population before really making these available. Sorry for the inconvenience.
2. When cosplay slots are available, you may only grab ONE custom per three months. These slots are highly sought after, so we want to make them available to a larger population.
3. Please be sure to check up with the owners list to see what cosplays have already been done. Neither shop approves of duplicate cosplays.
4. Also be sure to not request an "alternate universe" version of a cosplay already existent. The Mountain shop does not support these and considers them to be duplicate cosplays as well. Example: Squall from Final Fantasy 8 versus Leon from the Kingdom Hearts series.
5. If you are looking for a price estimate, please send a private message to the Kitsusagi Mountain account, and the estimate will be given ASAP.

Breeding Guidelines

These are guidelines that must be followed in order for your kitsusagi to be able to breed. Please read carefully and follow accordingly.

Normal kitsusagi breedings
1. We ask that you not breed siblings or relatives in any way. Kitsusagi are very sensitive genetically and inbreeding w/ result in mild or severe birth defects (blindness, paralysis, etc.)
2. Kitsusagi can not breed until they reach adulthood!
3. Do NOT rp breeding in any of the shop or guild threads... If you MUST rp something like that, you must do it in PM's or IM's of some kind... RPing such in the threads would be against Gaia terms of policy, so please keep this thread is to remain as close to PG as possible.
4. Sickly/inactive kitsus are not healthy enough to breed, meaning if your kitsu IS sickly/inactive... no breeding for you.
5. Normal Kitsusagi can only breed twice in their lifetime! Choose wisely.
6. Breeding will result in 2 - 4 eggs, based upon a randomizer (not by choice). All eggs will be priced 3K per egg.

Angelic and Nightmare breeding
1. The guidelines 1-4 from above are applicable to the angelics/nightmares as well.
2. Angelics breed with Angelics, and Nightmares breed with Nightmares. Under no circumstance can an Angelic breed with a Nightmare.
3. Since the breeding is more extensive and such a rare occurance breeding will cost 20k and will ALWAYS result in 2 eggs.
4. No owner is allowed to have more than 2 angelics or nightmares (unless they are frequent rp'ers).
5. Nightmare and Angelic kitsusagi mate for life and only produce eggs once, so choose your mates wisely.

Angelic/Nightmare/Normal:
1. The guidelines 1-4 from above are applicable to the Angelics/Nightmare/Normals as well.
2. Angelics breed with Angelics, and Nightmares breed with Nightmares. Under no circumstance can an Angelic breed with a Nightmare.
3. Since the breeding is more extensive and such a rare occurance breeding will cost 20k, if the female is an Angelic or Nightmare it will result in two eggs. If the female is a Normal there is a chance for between two and four eggs.
4. Since their breeding is already more extensive, no m/m or f/f couples will be allowed.
5. Nightmare and Angelic Kitsusagi mate for life and only produce eggs once even if mated to a Normal, so choose your mates wisely.
6. Offspring of a Higher/Normal Breeding (Hybrids) will have their own set of rules for breeding which are listed in their own section.

Hybrids:
1. The guidelines 1-4 from above are applicable to the angelic/nightmare/normals as well as all Nightmare/Angelic/Normal if Hybrids are breeding with a Higher species.
2. Hybrid kitsusagi mate for life and only produce eggs once even if mated to a Normal, so choose your mates wisely.
3. Hybrids can breed with Normals, as well as Highers and Hybrids of the same species. However tension between the Angelics and Nightmares is such that even the hybrids will not interbreed between them.
4. Hybridization carries on through generations. Even if a Kitsu only has one great-great-great grandfather which was a Nightmare, Hybrid rules still apply. (Hybrids will be identified by an H next to the Kitsusagi Logo on their Cert.)
5. Breeding will result in 2 - 4 eggs and cost 3k per egg unless with a Higher species.

In regards to same sex breeding
CLARIFICATION: The process is actually a scientific process. If female/female, there is no need for a third party, but if it is a male/male couple, there will need to be a third party. There is no actual MATING, but the process is done in a laboratory which in short splices genes together to make the offspring.
GUIDELINES:
1. Each individual owner is only allowed one same-sex breeding ever in this shop. That means it is owner-based, not kitsusagi based. Choose wisely if you want to travel down this path. (surrogate mothers involved in male/male breedings do not have the count against them in these regards).
2. Female/female breedings are done strictly with the mothers, thus no extra kitsusagi are needed. Male/male breedings however require a surrogate mother. This surrogate mother will have 1 breeding knocked out of her total number of breeding.
3. In the case of the male/male breeding, the minimum number of eggs able to be had will be 3, so that the surrogate mother can be compensated for her efforts in carrying the eggs.
4. Since the use of a laboratory is far more extensive a process than letting nature do its thing (*cough*), there will be an extra fee of 1K per egg (meaning that the eggs will be 4K each instead of 3K)
5. Nightmares/Angelics need not apply. They already have pretty extensive breeding regulations, and since neither angelic nor nightmare are able to carry more than 2 eggs, they just can not handle this procedure. It just would not be fair to the possible third party under these conditions.

About Passion Fruit
The Mountain has thus far produced many astounding gifts, blessing both Kitsu and their Owners with many wondrous things. But perhaps one of the most curious things the Mountain has brought forth is that of the Passion Fruit. This rare and elusive fruit, when eaten by a Kitsusagi will mysteriously allow that Kitsu, and a partner of it's choosing, one breeding more than nature would normally allow.

However the Passion Fruit does not bow to science and nature can only be pushed so far, ingesting this fruit does not affect same-sex breeding restrictions or any other breeding regulations such as those of the Anthro's.

Passion Fruit are extremely rare, and will most likely only be available through special events and not for purchase. They are one time use, meaning should you be lucky enough to snag one you can only use it on one Kitsu and it's partner on one occasion, so choose wisely. (This item is recommended for mates.) To reinstate: Passion Fruit alter no limitations other than the number of natural breedings by one.

*NOTE* - The fruit can only be used upon Mountain-Mountain kitsusagi breedings.
