If you do not read these rules, you will be denied breeding slots.
Trades for breedings to go the breeder!
Trades must be received before eggs will be certed. Price is 3k per egg. 3nodding
Eggs cannot be auctioned off. They can be given away to friends or raffled for free.
Please post the breeders name, names of the owners, names of the kitsus, and the images of the kitsu when requesting a breeding! (this would be posted in the breeders threads, of course x3)
See each breeders thread for availability.
After you have gotten a breeding slot, please create a thread with the name of the parents in the title. This thread will be where you'll post owners and later names for your kitsu's offspring. smile

General/Normal Rules
1. We ask that you not breed siblings or relatives in any way. Kitsusagi are very sensitive genetically and inbreeding w/ result in mild or severe birth defects (blindness, paralysis, etc.)
2. Kitsusagi can not breed until they reach adulthood!
3. Kitsusagi cannot breed again until their offspring are fully grown.
4. Do NOT rp breeding in the thread.. *shudders* If you MUST rp something like that, you must do it in PM's or IM's of some kind... This thread is to remain as close to PG as possible.
5. Sickly kitsus aren't healthy enough to breed, meaning if your kitsu IS sickly... no breeding for you.
6. Kitsusagi can only breed twice in their lifetime! Choose wisely.
7. Breeding will result in 2 - 4 eggs.
8. If the breeder doesn't recognize your name [ie, you are not thread-active], they have the right to refuse your breeding request.
9. Do not complain, whine, flame the breeder, or otherwise cause drama about the result you receive from your breeding. Edits and genders are rolled at the time of the breeding raffle and are based on dice rolls. Same with the Adult Angelic lines. If you do not receive them, please do not cause drama about it. It is entirely up to chance.
-The price for breeding is 3k per egg. So if you breed your kitsusagi and you produce 4 eggs, it will be 3k per egg. If you give an egg to a friend it is still 3k per egg. Should you choose not to keep your egg, you can sell it back to the shop for the same 3k and it will be auctioned off.-
Cosplays
-If one parent is cosplay, each kit has a 50/50 chance of getting some sort of edit. These can be minor or large.
-If both parents are cosplay, each kit should have some sort of edit (minor or large)
-Cosplay eggs from now on will be 5k, for the edits.
-Event Kitsusagi, unless otherwise said, fall under the cosplay category
-Cosplay breedings result only in normal or angelic lines - regardless of the parents' original lines
Anthros
- Anthros can breed
- Unlike their quadruped brethren, Anthros can breed 2 times in addition to the normal 2 slots (4 total) without the use of a passion fruit
- All Anthros produce 2-4 eggs, regardless of source species, due to a more sturdy anatomy
-Same sex breeding is allowed
- Anthros can only breed with anthros and kitsusagi of their source race (normal, angeic, nightmare, etc etc)
- Anthro breedings guarantee anthro stages in the children (they will become anthros 3-4 months after the children have hit adult)
Gem Edition Kitsusagi
-mate for life
-2 breedings
-breed with Normals, cosplays, and other Gems
-no same sex breedings
-Realm only breedings :3
-Any offspring of a Gem Kitsusagi will not be a Gem Edition kitsu and the chances of them passing on their unique traits - the uni horn and shard wings - is slim.
-Breeding with other Gem Kitsus increases the chances of those traits being passed on but does not guarantee it.
-The further down the line you go, the more diluted the blood and thus the smaller and smaller chance of the special traits being expressed.
Ex-Mountain Subspecies
-until there are official Realm lines that take on the old mountain subspecies these are the breeding rules for them
-follow the general breeding rules for their equivalents
-can breed with equivalent species and other mountain lines
-When a kitsusagi that was once a mountain-only species breeds, these are what they will produce as offspring. Species Equivalencies are as follows:
Cherubs => Cupid
Imps => Anti-Cupid
Pixies => Fae (follow Fae breeding rules)
Aquakitsu => Merkitsu
Bobtail => no equivalence yet
Butterfly => no equivalence yet
Lop => Was not transferred
Luck => Was not transferred
-Butterflies have a 25% chance of that trait being inherited
People who fail to acknowledge and follow these rules may be officially warned by a staff member and have privelages or customs / bribes / breedings revoked. They may even be greylisted / blacklisted. PLEASE read and follow the rules and don't let this happen to you!

Male/Male & Female/Female
1. Have the same # of breedings as normal kitsu
2. Can use passion fruit like normal kitsu
3. Must be well RPed and thought out - no one night stands. As for what kind of RPs we accept... at least one 15-post, prose-style RP must be shown as evidence. Also, if the relationship spans over a longer period of time (different RP threads that have time stamps days, weeks, months apart), then you will have a much higher chance of being accepted for a same sex breeding.
4. Male x Male and Female x Female couples mate for life. If they break up, they will NOT have any more kits [with a new mate].
Males
- Must find a surrogate mother* for the eggs. Owners of the surrogate are to be paid 20k, or offered an egg from the breeding. This breeding does not count against the surrogates #'s of breedings, however she will have to wait the normal recovery period [ie, until the kits are adults].
*Each female can only surrogate once. Their genetics do not affect the breeding.
Females
- Do not need a surrogate. Also need the normal recovery period.

Angelics & Nightmares
1. Angelics and nightmares cannot crossbreed with each other. No exceptions.
2. Since the breeding is more extensive and such a rare occurance breeding will cost 20k and will result in 2 eggs.
3. No owner is allowed to have more than 2 angelics or nightmares (unless they are frequent rp'ers).
4. They mate for life and only produce eggs once, so choose your mates wisely.
5. There are to be no same-sex Angelic/Nightmare breedings. Same-sex breedings result in a minimum of 3 eggs and because Angelic nor Nightmare are able to carry more than 2 eggs, it would not be fair to the possible third party.

Celestials General Rules
1) Celestials have only one power – they are capable of mindspeech. Not telepathy, not reading other minds, but speaking to one another silently (Celestial to Celestial only).
2) No cosplays are allowed on these lines – they’re just not suited to them.
3) Heavy edits (of the non-cosplay variety) are, however, acceptable and up to the artist’s discretion.
4) Celestials are in the same category as the Normals and the Subspecies. They are not rares.
5) Their custom pricing are as follows (bribe prices are subject to change by the individual colourist’s will):
250k - Adult only
400k - Egg-Adult
6) These are meant to be a common species, there are no restrictions on how many one can own.
7) All owners are subject the over arching rules for the shop.
Breeding Rules
1) Celestials can breed with Normals, Subspecies, and Celestials. They cannot breed with higher species.
2) There is a 25% chance of a Celestial child being born in a Celestial x Non-Celestial breeding. Celestial x Celestial is 100% chance. This chance is not affected by generation (4th gen Celestial can still result in Celestial for example).
3) Flarei x Flarei breedings can result in Eclipsei offspring. Likewise with Eclipsei x Eclipsei breedings. There is a 25% chance of that happening.
4) Breedings between Celestials produce 2-6 eggs, breedings with any non-celestial produces 2-4 eggs as per normal.
5) Same Sex Breedings are allowed but follow the Same Sex Pairing Rules all couples are subject to
6) Celestials have 2 breedings total and are not bound to a single partner when breeding.

Fae, Seraphs & Pixies
This small section details the specifics for the Fae and Seraphs, and the Pixies.
1. Seraphs and Fae can only breed within their species - Seraphs to Seraphs, Fae to Fae; for the purposes of breeding, pixies are considered Fae.
2. They can breed twice and are able to make use of the passion fruit.
3. The produce the normal 2-4 eggs.
4. Same sex breeding is allowed but must follow the conditions on such breedings.
5. Pixies that are bred, produce Fae.

As of March 1st, 2008, the following rule is in effect:
You can only give ONE egg from each breedable kitsu to a person.
Example:
Kitsu 1 breeds with Kitsu 2
Owners' give eggs to person A and person B, and keep the other two.
Kitsu 1 breeds with Kitsu 3
Owner's cannot give eggs again to persons A and B. They can keep eggs for themselves, if they wish, and if they want they can co-own with person A and person B (but we would prefer not)
This is to make it more fair, as the same people are getting eggs over and over again.
As of September 12th 2008, the following rules are now in effect:
10. This one should be common-sense, but it has now been added because some people do not understand - If your Kitsusagi couple is currently entered in one outstanding active raffle event then please do not enter it in another seperate active raffle event. With Kitsusagi Realm being the only shop now, we do not consider this much of a problem any more but thought it wise to mention.
