Personality: Vierna is a very hopeful soul, she doesn't like dwelling on the negatives in life and instead spends her time wish and hoping for the best. Her ability to actually help though is limited, unless the question has to do with relationships and the like; Vierna is quite horrible at analyzing weather and what not and doesn't bother to do so. She likes meeting new Nequus, and believes that most can become her friend if she treats them with respect and care. Unfortunatly, she does not deal with crisis well, and struggles to hang on to her hopeful nature.

Location: Mostly Vierna will stay in D'ob or in and around Yisi.

Vienna's Tree is located in the Southern Quadrant

[~The Tree~]

Vierna's tree is of fair size and has a rather stright trunk with cherry red bark that easily peeled off. However, as to the branches, they are spread far and wide in all very different directions. During the windy season, the leaves, which are in an odd heart shape, are easily carried off with the wind no matter how hard of a gust it is. Or rather, how light the breeze. There is, however, an underside to the story. Upon one side of the tree, the bark is blackened and fairly crisp to the touch, no doubt from a lightnight strike.

Basics

For an Aeri mare, she considers herself fairly modest and well mannered, not one for conflict and dwelling on the help she wants to give others in need. Despite this, she has never mated to anyone, and she isn't quite sure why. She loves people, and she certainly would love to be loved back, but she thinks it has to do with how easily she trusts. That, or its a body thing. Who would really like a big-boned girl like her anyway? Surely not a self-respecting stallion, one who would not take advantage of her at every turn of the road. Thusly, she hasn't allowed herself the joy of children, though ironically she does enjoy the company of foals.

Family Before

Quite some time ago she had lived with her sister and the rest of their extended family, happily traveling together in D'ob. It was such a nice thing too, always having your family so close to yourself, able to help whoever needed it without worry, and of course getting to see the next generations in the line. Oh dear, how she misses her sister, and her little nephew Zaknafein. Though Vierna herself had never mated, she was quite eccstatic when her sister announced that she had found a mate and they were having a fruit together. Everyone was in hysterics and congradulations, welcoming the stallion into the little family gathering with open hooves. Oh boy, does Vierna miss those days.

[~Charred Hearts~]

((For the complete stories, read the histories in Aitumn's and Zaknafein's journal.))

The night before should have been a warning to them all, after all that's what the elder had said, Vierna's grandmare. The swirling of clouds, the darkening of the sky, the antcipation of rain in the air. She had always been a wise, old nequus and weather was one of her specialties, and Vierna would have done well to believe her. As it was though, the hopeful mare had simply shrugged it off as just another storm, already preoccupied with her sister's problems. The poor deary, she simply must have been worried to death about her sweet little Zak. The way his eyes were glazed over, how his steps seemed to be dulled and slowed, most assuredly he was sick!

And as it was, the herd was due to move to a more protected area of D'ob the night after, which left Zak and his mother at ends with the rest of the herd. What could Vierna do? Continue to help and support her, that was about it. Of course, there was some commotion up ahead that she hadn't bothered to keep an eye on, something to do with Aitumn no doubt. He really was a wild soul that Jala, but an adopted family member no less.

That's when it happened, everyone was starting to go off in the other direction, and then nothing but a blinding light and deafening crack of thunder. Vierna hadn't a clue what went on after that, for the mare had simply tumbled and toppled over to her side as if a large force of energy had simply exploded in the area.

When she came to? Nothing but bodies lying around, some charred, some seemingly frozen in a sleep-like state; and among them Vierna's sister and her mate. The life she knew had suddenly ceased to exist, the family she loved delving into horrible pits of what-once-was. Survivors? She couldn't even think to look for survivors, as she was already very disturbed and very hysteric, and took off in another direction, anywhere away from here. It was an odd thing, almost dream-like, as if she watching herself leave and yet she really wasn't there at all. Is that what death was like? Was she dead as well? She didn't know, she didn't care, the mare simply ran away from that horrible, terrible place of death and broken hearts.

Now though, years after the incident and taking that long to recover from the storm-trama, she finally feels ready to enter the world again; rather than simply observing it in her skitish stance to anyone. Something to hold onto however, something to look for caught her attention. Someone had described an Aeri stallion that sounded an awful lot like Zaknafein, and her heart leapt at the thought. Maybe he was alive! Maybe he survived! Now she travels in search of her long-lost nephew, hoping that he's alright.

[~Encounters~]

Hopefuls
Friendly aquantences, hopefully friends.

Sekhmet- "She was quite the interesting meeting for this worn out, old mare. Such a lovely coat she has, and wonderful manners. Terribly sorry I couldn't get to know her for longer than I did, but perhaps we'll be able to meet up again in the future?"
Cressida- "I met her when I caught up with Zak and Aitumn, and such a terrible turn of events that had been. She seems reasonable, polite, and a good mare, but I'm afraid I don't know much about her other than the tie she has with Aitumn."
Tucker- "My goodness, Aitumn has a son! I couldn't be happier for the him, and the colt is such a lively little lovely. I wish him nothing but happiness."
Rhea- "Another mare I met during the encounter with Aitumn and Zaknifein. I'm afraid I don't know much about her either, but she seemed nice."

Valentines
Those who have become good friends with Vierna.

Aitumn- "I adore this little guy, and I still remember the day he was brought to us by his mother. The poor sickly thing, it broke my heart to hear her pleas, and since that day I've made sure to take care of him as if he were my own nephew. Quite the reckless soul as he grew, but he was still a sweety."

Dreams Come True
The loved, and family members.

Zaknafein- "My sweet little nephew! I haven't seen him since he was a colt, which is quite saddening to me. Hopefully I can find him soon." "I'm... absolutely upset with him right now. I've finally found him and he's on the brink of insanity with what he was trying to do. I'm highly disappointed in him, but I can't help but blame part of this on myself. If I had found him sooner, maybe I could have prevented this whole thing."

Nightmares
Naughty nequus.

Mecriana- "She was very disrespectful to me and Zaknafein. If I weren't totally against violence I think I would have wanted to hurt her. For now she'll be put here. I really didn't like her at all."

[~RP Log~]

Sekhmet and Vierna
"Lovely little filly! I hope I get to meet her again, the poor dear hopefully didn't get into trouble for staying out to talk with me..."
Finale
"Such a mess this whole thing has turned into. I've never dreamed of meeting Zak and Aitumn in such circumstances, I can still remember them as colts like it was yesterday. My hunt for my nephew has brought nothing but disappointment, but I can't turn my back on family. I... need to do something to help heal him. Maybe with just a little time he could learn to accept fact."
Gathering Fruit
"Well I've been recovering emotionally in Ryuten, amusing myself with the workings of the humans. Interesting little creatures. I did get the chance to meet up with Aitumn today and we chatted a little bit, I just hope I hadn't hurt him or anything telling him why his mother had abandoned him."
Guilty
"I guess I have a knack of catching Zak before he does something really regretful. Today I ran into him nearly about to tear into a fiery Jala mare, and out conversation went downhill from the begining. Sigh. What am I going to do with him?"

[~Current Hopes~]

"Hello my dears, I'm sorry I haven't gotten around to meeting anyone just yet, but please be patient and allow my time. You see, I have been on a very long quest for quite some time now, after hearing- from word of mouth- that a pecular swirled green aeri had been spotted in and around D'ob. Oh dear, I do hope its Zaknafein, I haven't seen him since that tragic day of the storm and I wish to be sure that he is okay."

[~Sekhmet~]

"Its been awhile since I've met someone new, and I hope I haven't become too rusty at it. I heard someone mention something of a green Aeri with lighter colored swirls on his hide, and I'm seriously thinking it was Zaknafein. I haven't seen him since the storm when he was a colt, and I was so worried everyone had been wiped out or scattered around D'ob after that. I know I certainly haven't forgotten that day, I just hope he hasn't forgotten me either.

On my way to D'ob I happened upon a young Jala filly with quite the interesting coat coloring. She was a good converstation, respectful, and seemed to enjoy talking to me as much as I did her. I was a bit worried though, she says she was adventuring off on her own and heavens knows there's Nequus out there that would take pleausre in stealing her away or even worse.

Our time came to an end after a short while, but I still like to think of her as a friend and someone I'd like to meet up with again. Till then, I'm on my mission to find Zaknafein, my poor little nephew."

[~Finale~]

"Goodness! I don't know where to begin for this little mishap of an adventure I stumbled upon this time. Well, I wouldn't really call it stumbling, considering I had gathered the gossip of the area and combed the beach, but still I did not expect to find what I did! My first sight of Zaknafein in many long, miserable years, and he all battered and bloodied and fighting with Aitumn and another Reya mare. Aitumn! Little Aitumn is just as I remember him, although his eyes send shivers down my spine. There's no light there, they don't shine like they use to when he was foal or in my family's care.

After some proding I discovered the terrible reason why Zak was acting as such, and I got to say I'm highly disappointed in my nephew. His reasoning is so obscured and absurd, its like looking into the mind of a mad man. If indeed that's what he's become. He ran away from me after Aitumn chased him off, and though it would have been smart for me to head in the opposite direction, I couldn't help but I have my heart go with him. He's my sister's son, I'll be darned if I allow this kind of behavior, this disgraceful show of ill-judgement and ill-will towards one of his herd members. Well... ex-herd, but that doesn't exactly matter right now, does it? Its still my duty to follow him, and to set the record straight so as to give Aitumn and his new family ease.

I know its a large responsibility, but I can't simply do nothing. Hey, I have nothing else to do, so why not?"

[~Gathering Fruit~]

"For the past couple of months I've been spending my time in Ryuten with the humans. They're such silly little creatures that I enjoy watching and studying their habits. Oh and the little ones, little spooky things! They're just so cute with all their astonished expressions at my size, it makes me want to giggle like a filly again. Though I must admit I do have to be careful where I step, wouldn't want to accidently injure those frail little things.

However I did have the luck of seeing Aitumn again today, the little guy really has grown up! Heh, I must admit I vastly prefer his company when he's not seething over with bloodlust, we even had a decent conversation this time. Oh, ooooh! He's going to have more foals with the Reya mare Cressida and he said I can see them when they're born! Five! For a cross couple I must say that's very impressive, but not surprising if you know Aitumn. Little bundle of reckless energy that he is. I'm so excited to see him again, its very nice to know a part of my past is still alive and kicking. Well, two actually. But I'm choosing to forget about Zaknafien for now until he can calm down and accept reality. I never thought I'd say this about my nephew before, but he's certainly turned his back on his upbringing.

Unfortunatly my conversation with Aitumn did have a sour point. He asked about his mother and I had to answer him, though it wasn't an answer I was fond of giving. I'm just glad he didn't seem to be hurt by it, I wouldn't know what I would have done if he had been. Though now I'm wondering what happened to that young, sickly thing. Perhaps I should try and find her... for Aitumn's sake."

[~Guilty~]

"Zaknafein. The little colt I once knew has grown into a stallion. What kind of stallion is another question though. I wasn't entirely certain about what all he had done to Aitumn and his family, but he told me several disturbing facts that I must admit got to me. I'm still a bit rickety right now to tell ya the truth, but how couldn't I be? I looked for him, for anyone of my family for so very long, I never imagined it would turn out like this.

The encounter went strangely, and downhill pretty much as soon as I got there. Well, then again, I did kinda walk in on a tense moment between him and a Jala mare, but I'll get to her in a moment. She's an after thought, nothing more. Zak and I's conversation led me to believe that he finally does trust what I'm saying, but I'm afraid I may have pushed him too far. He went running off without a second glance, and told me he was going to hell. I feel dreadful and sick, but I need to keep my hopes up. Maybe everything will be okay.

As for the Jala mare, she was very rude and I did not like her in the brief time we spoke. I'm not the violent sort though, so we just parted ways with nothing more than a few exchanged glances and words."
