Steven was sitting down by the forest wait for his freinds after classes. The wind blew and he stirred from the light nap that he had been taking,I really need to get more sleep he thought to himself. As he stood up he could see the lake in the distance and nearer to him the courtyard. The sky was grey and the day was blustery, his favorite kind. He sat back down, pulled out his wand and started making a small bug fly around the tree.

Kinzo walked toward Steven and yawned as she did. She'd actually been planning to go sleep somewhere, but she'd rather hang out with a friend than rest. As she walked up she noticed his wand was out. "Whatcha doing?" she asked him since she wondered what he was using the tool for.

"Huh?" Steven said when he half heard a voice next to him. "Oh hey Kinzo! Sorry just kinda zoned out for a while. So how have your other classes been?" He said putting his wand away.

"So-so. It's all just more school," she shrugged and sat down across from him. She folded her legs indian style and looked up at the sky. "The sky's such a nice color when it's gray. Blue's much too vibrant for something that's hanging over our heads all the time." Kinzo mumbled this as she tore a leaf into shreds, an action she was fond of doing for some reason.

"Yeah I just wish it was windier," ((don't know if that's right))Steven said as he stretched out his legs "I love the wind. So did you go out for quidditch this year?" As he asked he felt stupid for asking something so pedestrian.

((I think it is.)) "That would make it better," she said as she tossed the shreds of plant life to what little breeze there was. "No, but if they need someone I might think about it. Though I'm not particularly good at it. How 'bout you? Did you bother to?" She stretched out an arm to grab another leaf and continued her previous action as she waited.

Upon seeing two of her friends on the grounds, Kendra quietly made her way towards them from behind. When she was close enough, she leapt at Kinzo, embracing the girl from behind. With a wide smile she said, "Kinzoooooo! Where have you beeeeeeen? I never see you anymooooooore!"

Kinzo turned her head to glare at her friend a little. "Of course; I have to be hugged." She smiled anyway though; it had been quite a while since she'd last seen the fifth year. "I've been much too busy sneaking up on innocent little first years of course. You ought to have known!" Kinzo's comment was somewhat truthful; she did enjoy sneaking up on people and a few first years had already fallen victim to her silent ways.

Kendra released her friend and stood back a little. Shifting her weight she replied, "Cruel as always Kinzo." After saying this, she removed her black Hogwarts cloak, and threw it to the side. She wore a short black skirt with a little frill along the edge, and a matching black top. Black and white striped knee socks covered her legs, with black combat boots. "I really hate these cloaks." she began, "Theyre so ugly."

Kinzo bowed her head a Kendra's comment. "I'll take that as a compliment." She looked amusedly ((Is that a word?)) at her friend's disdain though she certainly agreed. "The administration has no sense of style, but school offcials never do."

"I'm a fifth year. You should take it as a compliment." she said, brushing her long hair aside. "But I still dont see why they have to be so......old fashioned." Kendra continued, glancing momentarily at the garment. "They could make an effort to stay up to fashion."

She looked skeptically at her friend though she did accept the social hierarchy of grade levels. "True. They just can't seem to realize what they're doing to us. Just imagine all the poor confused first years who never find an older student to tell them the truth. They'll never enjoy the beauty of fashionable clothing." She spoke with a dramatic air and at the end of her speech she fell back against the grass.

"I don't care about the robes so much, though they are annoying," Steven said joining in on the conversation. "I just wish they would let us wear a hoodie or something because those dugeons can get really cold, espescially for detention." He added for good measure. "So Kenny," He said turning to face her "You been doing anything special?"

Kendra focused on Steven for a moment and shrugged. "No, not really." she replied with a sigh. "Just been doing what I usually do."

Lex left the castle after her last class. The grey skies seemed to predict rain, so she put up the hood of her sweatshirt (which she recently changed into, along with the rest of her street clothes). She took a walk towards the forest, and near the trees she saw familiar people: Kinzo, Steven, and Kendra. "Hey guys," she greeted. "What's new?"
