There was a disturbance in the force, two beings who were capable of being meta were meeting and one had already broken the fourth wall. Most troubling indeed. Shockingly the man entered her office as himself. Such a thing was interesting in San since she felt conflicting feelings over him. Some part of her told her to be wary but she did not know why. Meanwhile a different part of her was... happy to see him? The clone took a deep breath and smiled best it could. It too had its feet on the desk. "You know... you almost make that look cool yo. I might have to pick it up sometime." She was of course talking about smoking. Though if San were to pick up the habit, she'd probably use a pipe. A silence then feel between them as she waited. For the mission report mainly but really for anything at all to come out of his mouth. When nothing did, she poke again. "So lay it on me yo, what are the results?" San was front and center, but if Kanzaki wanted to speak with her she could do so either in a short burst or through a medium. Then they could have the discourse in peace and without the interference of OOC beings.

San sighed before leaning back in her chair with her hands resting behind her head. Don't be so hard on the girl Kanzaki... she's not me. The thoughts were not spoken out loud but she knew he could see them. "Nah, it wasn't. You say Kya did everything so what's the problem dumb a**? Mission success and all that jazz. Congrats you get to be a faceless man doing the things others can't or won't all because you want to be alone like some kind of incel." It was baffling to her why he was so upset. Everyone in life had to overcome tests. Sometimes those tests were due to the unending churn of the universe. Sometimes they were put in place by the whims of others. Overcoming these tests was what enabled growth. Something which Kanzaki seemed to have stagnated on. That troubled her for some reason.
As for his out in the air tangent about shackles and what San's job was, well the only thing that truly offended her was being compared to Taka in a hypocritical manner, and calling Kya her lackey. "So first off, your class did that under Taka. So don't tell me what I'm doing is like her as a pejorative and with your other breath claim things were fine. That's some folly s**t. More importantly though Kya is my friend not my lackey. I trust her more than I trust anyone else in this village. I dunno what bug crawled up your a** at some point but your vision is clouded to s**t."
With that she seemed to pinch the bridge of her nose with irritation while taking a deep breath. "The issue is, I don't know you Kanzaki and the way you talk to people makes me think that I shouldn't trust you. Part of me would like for us to be friends. The same way I am with Kya and Sumika even." The clone got up from its desk and walked over to the still broken window. At least glass no longer crunched about her feet. "If I make you a jounin, and if I give you time to go see the world or backpack through the country... will you come back and help me protect the people of this village?" ""

His feet slid of the desk lazily only for him to violently stomp to his feet, burying his knuckles into the desk. Blood started to seep into the crisp bandages at his left hand. He didn't care if he sounded insane but Naomi was one more piss in his cornflakes he wasn't about to endure.Kanzaki's hateful ruby gaze went right through Sanae, standing and ranting without breath until he was finished, snoke wafting from his nose. Doggo took a seat in an empty chair and sneezed, no longer interested. After a heartbeat Kanzaki sat back down, kicking his legs up back on the desk as if nothing had just happened, his hand bleeding on to the floor, letting his neck relax and staring at the Hokage sideways."Where was I... Right. How wrong you are. OK, you zaftig imbecile. I'm the only one seeing things clearly around here. If you can't tell the different between a successful mission and a failed leadership test, then so be it. I don't have the patience to describe it. Karuto's neck seemed to be on an eternal swivel as he was escorted down Konoha's Main St. towards the Hokage's palace. The buildings here were much more sturdy than those of his home town- most of the structures in Sunagakure were made out of a form of chakra molded sandstone. Even when they were polished, one could always find grains of the composite material everywhere they went. These buildings with their polished wooden floors were, in his opinion, much nicer. He took in a deep breath, letting his lungs inflate with the cool air. It was SUCH a unknown blessing to not have to battle the arid climate that he was used to. It was unbelievably pleasant in this land. When they arrived at the Hokage's palace, a building he knew to be so as the giant Kanji outside was similiar to his own Kage's, Karuto found himself escorted into the lobby and up a flight of stairs along the outside wall. People stopped and stared at him as he passed. He easily stood head and shoulders above his escorts and gave friendly smiles to those he passed. As Karuto approached the office he was beckoned to the secretary's desk by the guards. He thanked them for their assistance and approached the women, bowing to her. He arose with a grin, and fished in his pocket for the writ he received from Lady Ayame "Uhm, hi, Karuto Raiken here to see the Lady Hokage. Oh, uh, I'm from Sunagakure by the way. Probably should mention that" As he stumbled his way through his words, he rubbed his right arm with his left hand, grinning sheepishly. Public speaking was never a great talent of his and to be honest he was nervous with anticipation to meet the famed leader of the leaf!
ᑃKya arrived at the Dojo with her eyes active as they almost always were, noting the blur in the distant edges of her range of visual detection. It was somewhat bothersome to know she needed medical attention or that would never fix itself. It was with a sigh that she detected another new presence in the office. Flared nostrils and furrowed brow stared at the outside walls of the office as she approached, still clad in body paint and tattoos depicting numerous achievements and losses, tentacles and waves washing about and surrounding them all. The truth bearer calmed herself as she walked in, ascending the stairs just in time to hear the end of Kanzaki's tirade after walking right past the secretary and Karuto without a word. More interesting was what was going on in the office.
The secretary gulped, turning his head to see as Kya's eyes began to spin, the crescent underneath a dark black sphere the same as the one on her forehead. "I've grown quite tired of you and your ceaseless bitching Kanzaki. I've grown tired of your attitude. I refuse to suffer your stagnant indignation any further." The paint on her body would glow once more, and the red of her eyes would morph into the same shade of azure. "There is something in you worthwhile, somewhere hidden among this sad, worthless man-child and today is the day he will reemerge from the shell before me, or be crushed and drowned along side it." It was then that she wove a single seal and the aura of something both dark and also full of all the chaotic energy of life flicked itself forward in a translucent greenish blue shaped like a massive tentacle. The immediacy and range between them meant avoiding this attack wouldn't be a simple measure.
There would be a hole torn through the wall and the tentacle would wriggle for just a second before it faded with the intention being smashing Kanzaki clean through it and sending him falling three stories distance into the street. All the while, Kya never once would even cast a glance at the Kage's clone. For the moment, God's will trumped anything else, and with a single step she would launch herself free after him unless she sensed he'd avoided her attack.

Sanae was not going to be happy with that answer. As one of his own rules he couldn't spell out what kind of person he was to anyone who just up and asked, but there was some hope since Kya at least had experienced it. Never take him at his words, but his deeds. This tantrum probably wasn't helping. Speaking of not helping, his spidey senses tingled, an air of hostile intent willing to hurl buckets of violence was incoming. His duel magatama eyes shifted their focus from seeing pure chakra into predicting the flow of movement, holding one shaky finger up at Sanae's clone before Kya had a chance to burst in.
Head lopped to the door, eyes rolling at her goddamn rhetoric. Upon reflection it'd be hard to say who had become more insufferable. He shifted his boot and kicked off the edge of the desk, intentionally unbalancing his chair and falling to the floor, rolling backwards and underneath the strike of the phantom hentai implement as it flew through the open space and into the wall."*hic* Mindful of the dog please, Kya."Kanzaki remained squat on the floor, cupping his chin in his hands, blood running down his wrapped wrist. He was not in the mood for round two, nor in any kind of shape for it against this zealot of a bully. He lit himself a third cigarette, continuing the bleed on himself, glossing over the attack on his person."Look, San, if you want an honest answer I'm just going to keep lying to you. I show, not tell. Ask Kya why I keep my left arm wrapped or if you can trust me, be friends with me. ...maybe not that last one. Just don't put me in charge of people and I think you can rest easier about my being away from here."

The real San made her way from the dojo to the office. Once in the lobby it was easy to spot her visitor due to his rather large stature. Her secretary Nobuyuki smiled at her while he seemed to gather some papers together. "My lady Hokage, how fortunate of you to arrive in the flesh." he remarked. "I've got a lot to take care of yo." she replied with a shrug. For Karuto she had no words, her long legs carried her quickly past him and into the branching hallways that made up the office area. Before vanishing into the hall she turned back and looked at him with unflinching gold and silver eye, "C'mon I've got s**t to do, don't drag a**."
With that said she was quick to continue walking. Eventually she'd pull off into a conference room of sorts and grab a seat at the far end of the table. Letting herself fall into the chair she'd prop her feet up on the table and stare intently at Karuto when he entered. San was like a slowly pacing tiger, her mismatched eyes only helping to aid in the cat like imagery. "Alright so you came all the way from the land of wind, what was the point?"

"I swear to s**t if you people keep breaking my office I will make a fake one just to meet with you all in!" The clone was clearly angry that it had been dislodged from its desk and the damage to her office yet again. "Also the fak is that kya?" The clone pinched the bridge of its nose and took a deep heavy inhale as it tried to compose itself. "Fine fine, actions words whatever. Go backpacking or something, I'll have duties fitting of a lone wolf jounin waiting for you when you get back. Just get the hell out of my office in the near future. Now would one of please tell me about your mission?"

Karuto pivoted on his heel as he heard a rather loud crash emanating from somewhere in the building. His jaw set in a harsh line and his demeanor changed from the friendly giant to the fearsome warrior- ready for battle. It was only when he realized that the secretary didn't react with any surprise that he relaxed. He supposed this might have just been a daily occurrence. Mentally shrugging, he continued waiting until a rather well endowed woman approached him. The secretary addressed her as 'Lady Hokage', which prompted immense interest from Karuto.
'Jeez she looks scary. And those eyes? Damn, I wonder how Lady Ayame would fare against her'
Her attitude matched her visage. She seemed to want to get right into the heart of the matter, so Karuto followed her into the conference room with nary a word. He took a seat a few chairs down on her left, hardly fitting in the tiny piece of furniture. A kage summit? What in the ******** was one of those? The name itself was pretty self explanatory but why would she attend such a thing and how was she to know whether or not it was a trap? Probably something of a question for the village elders. "I assume you have a date and time for such a thing?" A legitimate question as there was little point in sending someone to meet with her simply to announce the intent to call a meeting right? Such a thing would be incredibly foolish. As for his request, well that might come with some how do you say... complications.
"As for your request... sucks to suck but last I heard there is no military alliance between our lands. You're tolerated here as a messenger and once this meeting is over you'll be escorted out." While it was true that in the past Takamatsu had a strong personal relationship with Sunagakure, San did not. In addition to that San believed in formal treaties along with honorable commitments. Suna and Konoha shared little but lost love of the UHV. However while the war mounted in intensity in the Land of Fire, Sunagakure was nowhere to be found. "Before you go, I have another question for you yo. Any stipulations on guards at this summit your Kage wants?"
