She didn't have time to waste here, she needed to get Damien treated. She stepped into the pokemon center rather firmly, cutting past the small line that had begun to form in front of Nurse Joy. What, did everyone and their mother suddenly need to get their pokemon healed?! Scarlett scowled, pusing in front of the current line leader. "Hey! you can't just--!" He started to object, but Scarlett whirled around with a glare that could melt steel. "Is you're pokemon dying?" She snapped. "W-well.... N-no but--" The man stammered, suddenly not feeling so courageous. "Then I suggest you shut yer mouth and wait." Scarlett suggested coldly, placing Damien's primer ball on the counter and turning to Nurse Joy. "Heal him." She demanded turning away with a flourish as she moved aside to sit on one of the couches in the wing of the center. Sure there were two other people there as well, but Scarlett wasn't feeling particularly antisocial, she just was upset with the insults Cilan had thrown at her. Sure, he hadn't meant to advise, not criticism, but Scarlett wasn't one to take any sort of criticism well, particularly when it was information she knew damn well. She just did things a little... Scarlett explained to Cheria with a grin, folding her hands behind her head and leaning back comfortably into the couch, causing Rave to give an indignant squeak as she was pushed off of her perch, though she quickly settled herself onto Scarlett's head instead. Skye seemed to object to her flattery being called an act though, and Scarlett found this rather amusing. Scarlett's flattery was almost a dead giveaway that she wanted something to anyone who knew her at all, since she preferred to get compliments rather than give them. Though Skye seemed rather sincere in her insistence that er compliments were genuine, since she felt that a beautiful woman was something to be praised. Scarlett supposed she would agree, as long as that woman was herself, so she couldn't help but snicker a bit as Skye suggested Cheria was jealous. So were these two together romantically or something? Nah... Something about Cheria's behavior made it clear they weren't. When the archen on the table piped up though, Scarlett's attention was finally grabbed. "Oi, how'd you do that?" She sat up, looking curiously at the small fossil bird. Archen couldn't talk, not as far as Scarlett knew, but here this one had. good kick to the table stopped his chattering though as Skye introduced herself. "Charmed~ Skylark Estheim-Pristi'Sofia.... Goodness that's a mouthful, 'm glad you aren't the kind who's offended by nicknames. I already know a Skye though, so I guess Lark is gonna be the choice far me." Scarlett suggested with a smirk. She then inquired about Cheria's experience at the Striaton gym to change the subject off of introductions, not wanting to give one herself personally, not to two complete strangers, not in a room full of people, at least not if she was being honest. Cheria's response was adorable, and Scarlett's eyes narrowed dangerously in a near sneer. How cute, it was almost sickening. The girl seemed fragile as a flower, Scarlett wondered if she used to have the same deerling eyed look when she was still young and naive... "Oh? Mayhaps you should tell him that. It would be a useful tool at times for sure, but it seemed more designed to help Lark understand what her own pokemon were saying, rather than others. Not to mention, the sky pirate also brought up a good point that if the pokemon being translated didn't know when to keep quiet, then it could prove to be troublesome. Scarlett personally didn't see the appeal when she could just have one of her psychic pokemon translate for her, or even Cypher for that matter. Was she perhaps a mariner as well? Or did she just refer to her pokemon as her crew instead of team? She hoped to arceus Lark wasn't one of those Team Aqua wanna be pirates, because that would be quite the deal breaker for her. Either way, the curiosity didn't last long, and she refocused on the item Lark was so interested in. "It won't be easy. You an' every otha trainer in the world are lookin' far 'em. They be called Crystal Shards, rainbow in color, fragile as a flower. Ya give it just the slightest bit of pressure an' poof! It's shattered." Scarlett explained, thinking back to the time Gamma had found one in the mansion but accidentally crushed it in his grip stronger grip. "I don't really covet them, any time I see one, I try to keep it nice and contained and sell it to tha highest bidder. People will pay quite a pretty penny for one of them beauties...." Scarlett mused.
Their conversation was interrupted however as Nurse Joy brought over Damien's primer ball. "Here you are ma'am... Your houndour is fully healed and fighting fit." Scarlett nodded her thanks, taking Damien's ball and hooking it onto her belt. With that, the nurse went back to take care of the other customers, and Scarlett stood, adjusting her attire. "That'd be my cue." She sighed. She would have stayed longer, but she was a very busy woman, and she didn't want to dawdle in one area too long. There was training she needed to do, gyms to battle, badges to gather, rewards to claim... Though, she did find this Lark person rather interesting, and a possible buyer for any crystal shards she might come across. Scarlett approached the desk of the center and snatched a business card and pen, writing her number down on the blank back of the card and setting the pen down before making her way back to Lark. "Here. Text me your number, and I'll let you know if I find any crystal shards." She offered.
