“That bullsh*it and you know it,” Rin growled. How could Damien not see how ridiculous that sounded. That Alessandra, of all people, would be so callous to ignore the death of her nanny- someone she cared about- was tantamount to heresy. It was like saying Rin liked kicking kittens on the weekend. Simply unbelievable. He opened his mouth to reem into Damien when the captain of the ship approached the other bluenette. Maybe that’ll shut him up. Any sensible person would’ve been stabbed and recognized the status quo had shifted out of their favor. But not Damien. The idiot kept pressing deeper into the firestorm. Even after being injured, he still wanted to continue his verbal assaults. Something which the captain wasn’t about to allow. Rin couldn’t suppress the smirk any longer. Seeing Damien get a cloth shoved in his mouth, effectively silencing him and forcing him to wallow in quiet anger, was just too good.
His grin dissipated, however, when he felt Ale clench his clothes more tightly. He looked down to find her eyes closed. Her breathing was growing shallow and rapid. Like she couldn’t get enough air and was trying hard to do so. Is she reacting to that drug? Rin hoped not. He doubted there was a doctor able or willing to do anything. At a loss for what to do, he did the only thing he knew- pulled her closer to his chest and held on. Yeah, it would give the bad guys a certain impression, but he didn’t care. His best friend was suffering and holding her was all he could do. “It’s okay, Ale. I’ve got you. You’ve got to slow down your breathing. You’ll knock yourself out doing that. Come on...deep breaths...” The Devil Slayer muttered words of comfort while keeping an eye on the captain. She went from mage to mage, asking the same exact questions. What would she want to know that for? He wondered. They were questions asked when one wanted to send a mage to a battle. Was that what they were doing? Kidnapping mages and shipping them off to fight somewhere outside of the kingdom? It made sense given that they were on a boat and being asked these questions.
Rin continued to cradle Alessandra in his arms as he listened and watched. Eventually, the captain made her way to the child he’d spotted a couple of minutes earlier. He saw the trauma in her expression, and he could only hope the girl would be able to hang on. No matter what skill she had, a battle zone was no place for a little kid.

Nervous/scared
  The whole time sitting there, Amarissa was just wishing she had never agreed to get on that ship. Surely, there were other places they could of played and still had fun? She never meant to anger these people, and they were certainly not someone she would of wanted to mess with. They seemed like they meant business, showing zero mercy to anyone. What they did..was more cruel than anything else. She'd never run into someone so mean..she did not even know what to do. She wishes she could free everyone here, even if it angered them more. She felt like..that would be the best thing to do. But, it was not possible, with her being stuck. No one deserved what they did to the guy she met earlier, not a single person on this planet.
Amarissa watched as they made their way to everyone else, trying to hear their responses. She would try and think of her own, based on what their own answers were. What it sounded like..they were asking for strengths and weaknesses. Truth be told, she rarely ever uses her magic in such a way. More like, she uses it to play, so to come up with answers, it was a little difficult. "Um..uh..stenngtthhhsss...uhmm.." She stuttered a bit, failing to think of how to answer. She did not wish to upset them..especially after seeing how truly mean they can be when they wanna be. "Sorry...I think...no..um..sharing luck with others?? Is that..a good answer?I can't - I can't think of anything else to add on." Amarisa would ask nervously, unsure if it's what they were looking for. This was so hard..she just didn't like thinking of difficult answers on the spot, it always causes her to panic a lil and than completely forget. "Weakness umm..uhh..I guess..I guess like negative emotions if that makes sense..I'm just going to be completely honest with you. I've never really used my powers to fight..so..this is really hard, sorry.." Amarissa apologized whole heartily, but continued to try and answer the rest. "I guess distance fighting would be better for me..I think. I can kinda heal..but like small cuts and bruises..that's it....Is that okay to answer?? It's really hard to think right now." Amarisa said really nervous and sadly, clutching even harder onto her plushie. With her already freaking out and feeling way too nervous, it was all the more harder to think of a proper answer. Truly, she hoped they might be understanding. All the same; she really couldn't think of anything regardless if she had the time to properly think, maybe her mind was etched too far into this scary reality, but she lacked the ability to truly think everything over.
This was a long shot in the dark, but Amarissa couldn't stop worrying about the blonde and dark haired male that was with her, she was scared to speak up. But- it was for their sake. While they were probably writing everything down, she began to slowly ask a question. "Please..can you help that blonde girl over there?" She would point with her eyes, as she had no other way of pointing, hoping they are able to see where she was looking towards. "She..might need some medical assistance..please..if it's..okay?" She wasn't sure what was wrong, but there was something, she could tell that much. She was no doctor, but anyone here could probably tell that she didn't look so good. Her words came out low, but she hoped they might hear her out and give her some help. She could not stop worrying about her, and all the other people that were questioned hadn't said anything, so she had to at least try and be that voice to make an attempt to getting that female the help she needs.

Rin was having a hard time keeping focused on any one thing. The big brother side of him found it difficult not to watch the exchange between the captain and the small child. Ever vigilant of any harm the woman might try to do. Not that he could do much of anything being chained to the hull as he was, but that still wouldn’t stop him from trying. Then there was Damien who was asking for attention by trying to kick either him or Alessandra. He couldn’t be sure which it was, though he had a sneaking suspicion that the other bluenette didn’t care so long as he hit one of them. Rin gave one swift jerk of his own leg towards Damien in the hopes that he’d knock it off; although, he doubted that’d be the case. The Stone mage was simply too much of an idiot. It was Ale, however, that brought Rin’s focus to bear the most. She wasn’t doing good. Despite his attempts to calm her down, her breathing became more shallow and quick. It was like she couldn’t hear him at all. Her gasps for air grew panicked and she started to cry out. A pained, distressing cry that startled Rin.
The Ice Devil Slayer loosened his grip, though he didn’t let her go completely, and stared down at her. His ocean blue orbs searched for any hint of what was happening and how to fix it. He still couldn’t be sure that it wasn’t some sort of reaction to the drug. Yet this seem like a typical reaction. Then again, what WAS a typical reaction? Could it be something else? Was she having a panic attack? Too many questions and not enough answers. Their current situation wasn’t helping him figure it out either. As if to add to their troubles, the captain was none too pleased with whatever was happening to Alessandra. “What do you think I’ve been doing?!” Rin snapped at the captain, unable to control himself. “I don’t know what’s happening to her! For all I know, it could be whatever your guys drugged her with!” He glowered at the small statured woman before looking back down to his best friend. Thirty seconds to calm her down? That’d be a miracle if he could manage it. But he wasn’t about to let the captain harm her.
“Come one, Ale, you have to calm down. Focus on my voice alright?” Rin spoke as softly and evenly as he could. It was a struggle considering how on edge he felt. The captain’s obnoxious counting wasn’t helping either. “Listen to me, Ale. You’ve got to breathe. Not gasp, but breathe…okay? Deep, long breaths. Do you hear me? Ale?” He spoke to her like that for as long as it took. As he did so, he started to rub his hand up and down her arm in hopes that his touch might help settle her down.

really scared, guilty, upset
Amarisa would listen to the lady, trying to inch away from her as much as she could, but really was not even possible. "Special? What..do..you mean?" She stuttered through her words, watching as she moved towards the other, to which she assumed, she was helping them since she asked as politely as possible. Amarisa was listening to their conversation, mostly to make sure she was actually there to help. As soon as she overheard her, her heart dropped lightning speed. What had she done??? Maybe if she had kept quiet, that poor lady wouldn't be in the position she was now. And to think...it was all her fault. At this point, she was freaking out so much, she could barely think. Everything was happening way too fast for her to actually understand what was going on. All she wanted...was for the blonde to get some help on feeling better. Why...would she want to hit her for not feeling well? It just made her absolutely sick to her stomach. From what she overheard the blue hair male say, they may have caused it to her. But why would they do that? Why would they want to hurt another? Who really were these people? Because the law would never treat you like this, at least she assumed. She'd never seen anyone who handles that, so she couldn't say.
But all she knew was, this wasn't right. She had to do something to help, it was her own fault it happened in the first place. And that was enough to make her feel extremely guilty beyond belief. She couldn't keep it in anymore. "NO! Please don't hurt her! Please, miss! Maybe..I can heal her? I won't run away or try anything either, I pinky promise and swear on everything. And that way...you can see if my healing really works so it's not a guess anymore..if it helps." Amarisa shouted at first as soon as she was counting on two, but the more she tried to talk to the lady, the lower her voice was getting. All she wanted...was to resolve this.
