 Chimera Reflection
Dear Book,
I went to visit my chimera today. The lab tech is called N. Mr. N is not very nice. He looked tired and he sound scary when he talks. I don't remember what he said. I wasn't paying attention. When I went there, I felt something pounding in my chest, like wingbeats. It felt good, like I was flying. Mr. N said my chimera will be able to fly. It's called Whitehawk, like me. I want to go there and feel the wingbeats again.

Players: FULLMOON DRAGONSPINE GOLDFUR
Summary: Dragonspine is looking for a new apprentice. He takes the three of them out into an open field and gives them each an orange tag. The first one to get all the tags wins.
Naturally, nobody abides by the nature of the game. Goldfur runs away and Fullmoon chase, leaving Whitehawk to fight two chimera. She attacks Goldfur's chimera and blacks out. Fullmoon's chimera steals her tag.
Before the game is over, The warmaster calls it quits. There's been a call from headquarters and they need to go back immediately.

A Visit with Mr. Lion
Uncle Lion had the smoothest, most soothing voice of any human that Fai had ever known. He was telling a story, no..reciting a ballad, but she wasn't really listening. She pressed her ear against his chest and closed her eyes so she could hear him better. Since she was lighter, Fai got the privileged position of sitting on Uncle Lion's lap.
Caddie, the son of Auntie Wolfy and Uncle Nicky (Violet Long and her husband Dominique. Fai was still at the age where she liked to add a "y" on the end of everything.) was sitting on the floor, leaning against Uncle Lion's knees, his head drooping, already half asleep."Hey, are you even listening?"
The words drifted across some peaceful space inside Whitehawk's head, loosing their meaning in the soft rumble of sound.
Sitting on the couch, a less clingy distance away, Big brother Pi shook his head, smiling. Those two had never made it all the way through the story before, and he wasn't expecting them to start now. "Sing something?" he suggested, not wanting to wake them.
Whitehawk snuggled deeper into Uncle Lion's chest when he started to hum. She heard it in some faraway place, like soft feathers brushing against soft clouds, melodious like the wind, but ever so gentle. She hardly even noticed when Uncle Lion laid her down on the sofa and put Caddie next to her, covering them both with a blanket.
When opened her eyes again, it was already evening and something smelled delicious. Caddie was already sitting at the table.
"You're awake!" whistled Pi as he darted back into the kitchen. Moments later, he reappeared with a big pot of chilli. "Okay kids. Eat up, it's my special Fire Soup."
And by that, Whitehawk knew he meant that it was spicy and it was pretty much the only thing he knew how to make. Still she sat down and dug in gratefully. Pi's "special fire soup" was good.The cook sat on the other side of the table, in his usual seat, twirling his spoon languidly and blowing strands of red hair out of his face. He prodded the bottle of tabasco on the table just to hear the gentle "clink" of metal against glass. Auntie Wolfie and her husband were watching an opera tonight. Seven and old Uncle Lion were in it. He, on the other hand, was at home, doing nothing, and watching children. He really needed to find a job.
With a start, he realized that both Caddie and Fai had finished eating and were staring at him. Caddie was the first to speak. "DaGe, are you okay?""Perfectly fine! Nothing's wrong at all!Whitehawk could tell he was lying.
