"You're clever hero," Allen said, "It could save your life." He laughed and shrugged, "Doubtful though." Allen swung a fist at the brave hero. This same punch had floored so many people in his past and on several occasions absolutely shattered jaws. The hero was surely going to fall to this!

Josh stumbled around with his fists in front of his face as he dropped off the opponent's back. This was certainly not an ideal situation, he clearly understood hero psychology as well as Josh understood fight psychology. That was going to be a very big factor in this fight.

Josh saw the punch coming and ducked under it. All those years in the ring taught him enough to know how to get out of the way. He had underestimated this villain's power earlier in the fight, but he was not about to make that same mistake a second time.

Now, that Josh had mentally prepared for someone with equal or, he shuttered to think, greater, strength than his, all he needed to do was think of what he was going to do...This was probably not going to end well.

The young hero was quick. He had dodged Allen's fist with great ease. Allen swung again hoping to make contact. He was used to his foes being down for the count by now. This young man was made of sterner stuff What he hadn't noticed was their sudden proximity to the street in all the movement and quite suddenly the blaring sound of a car horn alerted him to look in time to be hit by an SUV. Allen was thrown off of his feet as he rolled up over the windshield absolutely shattering it in the process. He tried to stand but was a little dazed and found himself stumbling as he tried to gain his ground again. As the world started to focus again he saw the car that had hit him had lost control and smashed into a fire hydrant. Innocents weren't supposed to get hurt, only the heroes. Sirens screeched as two police cars showed up and cops got out ordering Allen to freeze. He'd had run-ins with the police before. Allen didn't like the police almost as much as he didn't like heroes.

Josh could only stand by and become a spectator to the events as they unfolded before him, much closer than he was comfortable with. The man was thrown by an SUV, not something he would wish on anyone, not even this villain.

It took Josh a second to process what happened when he noticed the opponent starting to stand, but having a lot of trouble. That meant he was alive, but, hopefully, not in any condition to fight. As the sirens sounded, Josh could only think, 'Please don't think we're in this together!'

Josh then, without much thought going into it, ran over to the crashed vehicle and started working to see if the people were alright, and to find some way to get them out.

Joel watched as the events unfolded below, the other hero seemed capable of keeping the villain at bay, but didn't seem to be able to defeat him. Though, that hero was surprisingly resilient.

Then, all at once, the larger man was tossed over the top of a car, causing the vehicle to spin out of control and crash. This was bad, civilians were getting hurt! The other hero ran off to go and try and help the people in the car, good, that was one less thing for Joel to worry about.

The police were now in the area, though, this could prove quite bad. All that destruction occurring, and police rarely take the time to distinguish which masked man was the one that caused the destruction and which one was trying to stop it.

Still, Joel was out of the way enough, the police shouldn't see him, though they may, and that would pose a problem, but he would worry about that when and if it happened. Until then, Joel took out another marble which he formed into an arrow and kept it trained on the large villain, in case he tried to fight the cops.

Allen finally staggered into an upright position, he was starting to regain his composure and the world was spinning less and less. Pretty soon the 8 cops in front of him turned into just four as his eyes focused. They were shouting orders at him but he wasn't interested. He saw the hero running to save civilians. "Now's your time to choose hero! The innocent by-stander or the fuzz! Who do you let die?" He lowered his head and charged the police as they started letting off shots that bounced harmlessly off of his armor. Ramming his head into the grill of the car as the police jumped to avoid him Allen shook the blow off, slightly dazed. He shook his head and grabbed the front end of the car and grunted as he started to slowly, but surely, lift the car off the ground.

Raising the cruiser above his head he grunted again, "Now hero -nngh- Let's see what you can - hurm - do!" Allen took a step backwards as he prepared to bring the entire tonnage of the car down on the police in front of him.

Joel look with horror as this man charged a car and lifted it up. He then reacted quickly. Joel fired another arrow at the man, this one aimed at one of his arms, trying to get it to buckle so he would drop the car on himself, or at least harmlessly to the side, rather than on the police.

Joel knew that one arrow would do very little, so it was time for him to get down there and actually participate in the fight. Joel dismissed the bow and began to focus his energy so he could bring out the wings in order to safely get down to the street in order to confront this foe more directly. Of course, Joel had no idea what he would do when he got down there, as direct combat was hardly an option against a foe the likes of this one.

Allen Grunted, "I thought you heroes were supposed to protect the innocent!" He managed to say, "And yet none of you have come forward to stop me from smashing this car down upon the heads of these police officers!" He grunted and prepared to toss the car down in front of him. "You heroes are all the same. It's time the general public realized something about those of us with super powers! We are a threat!" He hurled the car at the two police officers with a roar.

(Um....Not to break the flow of roleplay or anything with an out of character post, but I believe you ignored my arrow...)

Joel let out a short expletive before conjuring his wings and floating down from the building as quickly as was possible without harming himself. He then removed from his pocket as many marbles as he could with one handful and focused his energy for a quick second.

Joel tossed the marbles at the car that was now flying toward the police officers, and, to his surprise, a barrier appeared, it didn't stop the car entirely before shattering, but it slowed down the tossed vehicle enough that the police men were able to get out of the way before they were crushed.

Joel sighed before boldly conjuring, in his most heroic voice, "Do not involve the innocent in this battle, villain! Your fight is with myself and the other agents of justice, not with them!"

Joel then landed and dismissed his wings and prepared to conjure up whatever weapon was necessary to fight this opponent, unsure of how much of an asset he could honestly be in this fight.

Josh was fortunate that the villain chucked the car at the police, not a common thought in his head, but they were fine, so whatever, that also meant that they wouldn't be going after him, even if they did think he was in league with the new villain.

Josh found that the easiest thing he could do to save the occupants of the vehicle would be to break apart the smashed windshield, trying to take it apart in large chunks and move them out toward himself. Josh didn't care if his hands got a little cut up in the process, he was used to getting cut up every once in a while, true it was usually self-inflicted and to the forehead or back, but whatever.

Josh paused for a second as he saw someone descend down of glowing wings...Had he not fully recovered from that bottle of Jack last night? Well, it seemed real enough...

He shook off the initial surprise and started to remove the passengers and drivers from the SUV before worrying about his opponent.

(terribly sorry, I got caught up in writing and I knew I was missing some detail, I'll amend that.)

Allen chuckled, "Villain? Villain!?" He was angry now, "If I am a villain for using my powers as a means of demonstration than wouldn't that qualify you as a villain too? You are as ill-trained as many of the vermin crawling this city dressed in foolish costumes. This isn't a comic book! People die when you make mistakes. You think this is some sort of game? Well I'm not playing by conventional rules then. The lives of these innocents will weigh heavily on your conscious forever so-called hero because you were not trained well enough or miscalculated something and they wound up dead!"

Allen noted the Arrow protruding from his shoulder bracer, "I'm here to remind you and the innocents that they have a choice! They didn't ask you to defend them and they don't have to accept it! You two are the ones that started this fight! Before you showed up I hadn't harmed anyone nor had I threatened to. Your services are not required by Delmor but since you've forced my hand and involved the innocents I say that they're just more bricks and mortar in the foundation of the case I'm building against us metahumans." Allen made a mental note to keep his long-winded speeches to a minimum in the future.

He stomped on the hood of a nearby cop car and then kicked it ferociously. The car went end over end down the street with great momentum until it was just a crumpled heap at the end of the road.

"Pardon?" Joel asked, "Before I made myself known, you had tossed a car at several cops, I believe that qualifies as involving the innocent." Joel said, his hand hovering over the gem that was hanging from his neck.

"I simply fight for what is just, I did not desire to be involved in this, however, you forced my hand." Joel said, he would simply not accept himself, the Angel of Justice, being called a bad guy, there was no way!

Joel took a step back as the car was tossed end-over-end, fighting this enemy directly and at close range was simply not an option! He had to find some alternate way. Perhaps if he just stalled until the other hero was able to fight, their combined efforts may make some progress here. Still, Joel can't just place his faith in the works of others, he had to find some way to fight for himself.

Allen grunted at the mention of the cops, "They are false protectors of the innocent, collateral damage." It was at this point that some brave or possibly stupid cop fired at Allen. The bullets bounced, for the most part, uselessly off of the armor but one lucky stray bullet did hit one of the weaker spots in Allen's armor. The buckle that secured his breast plate to the shoulder paldrons was destroyed and the strap let loose its hold on the heavy breast plate which fell with a thud to the ground leaving Allen's under suit exposed. This presented a problem because although his skin was thick and highly durable he wondered how long he'd hold up against those arrows the hero had. Allen decided he couldn't risk revealing any weakness and took several long strides before starting into a heavy trot as he prepared to extinguish the hero in front of him.
