I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ "Yes," the Reyvateil half-heartedly agreed when the Teru mentioned that he was spacing out. Though she was suspicious that his mind wasn't as much spacing as it was thinking of the beautiful girl in the photograph. However she chose not to say anything about it and instead nodded when Gannon pointed to a comfortable recliner to sleep in. "Thank you," she said, settling into the chair. However, sleep eluded her for awhile. Her mind was lost in a flood of conflict, and Hikari was at a loss of what to do about any of it. After no answers were coming to her, the Reyvateil eventually found her mind drifting to an uneasy rest after being unable to sort out any of the issues at hand.
She slept fitfully on the recliner for the rest of the night, hugging the pepen to her chest. My Song is a Shining Light
Together We Shall All Unify in Radiance ((Hopefully this makes sense! Sorry... very, very exhausted right now...))

Nereus Out of nowhere Nereus was pulled in by the Teru, trying to keep his cool he just gaze at the wall. Once she let go he got up and said. "I was just trying to be a gentlemen." He chuckle and went back to the place he was sleeping. Nereus began to wonder what happened to her. He recollected on everything that happened during that moment. She said I sounded like him...Maybe it was that person who could of done that... Nereus face the other way and decided to use the rain to help him fall asleep and soon enough it helped.

The dive shop owner bit his lip. Tessia was his friend, but something had happened to her. Someone had to have been controlling her, or possibly even tampered with her Cosmosphere. How else could he have explained it? He knew that he, nor Gannon could possibly have done anything to warrant this hostility from her. True, she had been killed, but they had done everything in their power to save her. Everything, but was it enough? Could our failure be the reason for her anger? Were we just not good enough? He didn't have long to think on it, however. Because what Tessia said next sent ice water running through his veins. Kill Melody first? At those words, something inside Zek snapped and adrenaline from the fear coarsed through him.
He was in love with Melody. He always had been. Of course, he knew that the affection was one-sided, especially with his bad habit of flirting with girls getting in the way. But that didn't change his feelings. That topped with feelings of betrayal that a supposed friend would happily kill her caused Zek to feel rage like he had never felt before.
All thoughts of not harming Tessia went out the window at her threat.
Zek had never been one to use Teru magic. As a young Teru, he had been taught, but had pursued his interests in Reyvateils and their Cosmospheres. Not many, save the few that had grown up with him had ever seen him use his magic before. Which was exactly why he knew that he could take Tessia by surprise.
"I'm sorry, Tess." Was all he said before opening his mouth and a high pitch whistle came out. True, he couldn't use his hands as they were bound together, but luckily he didn't use his hands. He learned to use his whistle as his summon for the Teru magic. It wasn't as powerful as another Teru's, namely Gannon's, but strong enough that with the help of the element of surprise, he would be able to escape and warn Melody.
A blast of frigid air blew the Reyvateil and her henchmen into the wall and pinned them there. He breathed in and blew once again, putting an icy gag around the Reyvateil's mouth to keep her from using any Song magic.
"I would never hurt Tessy. But you're obviously not her." He muttered before whistling, and summoning a gust of icy wind to blast through the door.
Zek wasted no time in freezing the floor with his Teru magic, causing the guards slip and crash into each other like dominoes.
Quickly he whistled again and bound the remaining guards and C.P.G. Reyvateils against the wall in the same fashion as he'd done to Tessia and the first guards.
Minutes later he was outside in the rain and glanced back at his bound hands. This was going to be tricky...
He whistled again and the ice from his magic formed in his chains from the rain, causing it to harden to a snapping point.
The dive shop owner spied a metallic bail and smashed the chains against it two or three times before they snapped.
Completely free now, though out of breath from using the magic, he retreated into the woods of Behdla, thankful for the drizzle and the cloak of the night.

As soon as the Teru left, his magic lost effect causing those pinned to the wall to fall to the ground. The Reyvateil clutched at the ice covering her face, but couldn't manage to pull it off. She quickly drew the short sword she had requested from Naomi and used the flat of the blade to crack the ice. Once free of the icy muzzle, she made it to her feet and smoothed out her clothes before calmly walked toward the door, ignoring the soldiers scattered across the floor. In the distance, she could see the Teru entering the woods, knowing exactly where he was headed. "Perfect..." She turned and walked back to her desk. A grunt of pain from the soldier laying on the ground as she stepped on him told her that at least one of them was still alive. A look of annoyance flashed across her face. It looked like she'd have to call in a medic eventually. What a pain. The Reyvateil sat down at the desk and glanced at the clock. It was late, but for her newly hatched plan to work, she'd need to work fast. She switched on the comm unit and put in a request to be transferred to Naomi directly.

Naomi's voice sounded through the receiver but it didn't sound too happy. "Tessia? I hope you can explain some things to me while you're able to. I here that Behdla is in chaos right now. Things could have easily been contained but you set up a base there and are interrogating people. I thought I had said to fulfill your mission quietly and not attract unwanted attention." The woman sighed inwardly. She'd had her doubts about sending Tessia in because she'd had a feeling that the Reyvateil still bore resentment, possibly to not only her but the mission objectives. However that girl had been the best choice. All of the others in the unit Naomi had been responsible for were Third-Generation Reyvateils or F.P.D.'s which were out of action at the moment. The Third-Generations were Class-C at the highest, and she knew what Tessia was capable of with her genetic engineering and being a Ăź-type, she was stronger than even the Class-S Third-Generations the company had at their disposal. With the pros, Naomi knew that one big con might be that Tessia might have shown some signs of insubordination. Which it looked like it was a definite possiblity now. Naomi had hoped to keep tabs on Hikari and retrieve her quietly without attracting attention at C.P.G. and harming her further. But it was beginning to look like Tessia had plans of her own...

The fiery-haired Ăź-type laughed hearing Naomi's attempt at reprimanding her. "Actually, I'm doing you a favor. Before I got here, your little F.P.D. and her Teru got into it with another F.P.D. Needless to say, there was a lot of damage. Setting up a base here has given us a chance to help with reconstruction. Coming to the aid of the town, so to speak. The interrogations show the people that we're after the ones who destroyed their town." She let that sink in for a few seconds before continuing. "And as far as anyone else knows, The only reason I'm here is to deal with an F.P.D. outbreak." She was growing annoyed having to explain her actions. "Now, if we can get to the reason for my call... An old friend is heading up to Ce Palym and I'd like a welcoming party for him." She could imagine what was going through Naomi's mind. But there was method to her madness. And if her plan went well, it would draw out her target much easier.

The woman bit her lip, contemplating. She did want Hikari in her custody and safe, however, she wasn't certain that she wanted to risk any more lives. Naomi knew now that the President of C.P.G. cared nothing of anything or anyone else in the world except furthering his own ambitions, and she was reluctant that anyone else come to harm for the C.P.G. However it couldn't hurt for her to hear the fiery-haired Reyvateil's plan, could it? "An old friend?" She raised an eyebrow. As far as she knew, Tessia had many who she could consider 'old friends', many that would have helped her, up to the moment where she'd been killed. Even Naomi herself, although what she'd tried to do backfired. Too little, too late had she tried to help Tessia and Gannon with their escape to safety. "Just what do you have in mind before I authorize those reinforcements?" A laugh sounded behind Naomi, making the red-headed woman jump slightly. "Oh, yes. Just what do you have in mind, Mistress Tessia. By all means, don't keep me in suspense." The President of C.P.G. stood behind Naomi. What the hell is he here for? Naomi thought to herself, rather uneasy but kept her thoughts to herself and waited for Tessia to answer her.

Tessia was surprised to hear the President's voice. What was he doing there? It didn't matter, really. She'd work with it. "As you know one of the Vanguards guarding the target is Resonance. I'm sure that they're held up in that bunker of his outside Behdla. He won't leave that safe house until he's sure that they're clear. With him in there, I doubt that anything we throw at them will do a damn thing, so we have to draw him out." She paused for a moment to let that sink in. "One of the people I questioned was the owner of the Dive Shop. Naomi, I do believe you remember Zek? Anyways. I made a few comments that would make him think that the owner of the Inn in Ce Palym, Melody, would be in danger, so like I predicted, he rushed off to be her knight in shining armor. I'm positive that they'll make their escape through the underground tunnels beneath the Inn. If we have troops stationed in the tunnels, they'll be running right into our hands. After we have them, then we can leak information to Resonance that they're in our custody. If I know him, he won't be able to sit by and let them be executed, meaning he will leave the bunker either by himself or with our target. Either way, we will have a much easier time with him out of the picture.

Naomi nodded slightly. It made sense, really it did. It was a good plan, albeit brutal, and she might have agreed to it at one time. But those days for her were over. She couldn't keep hurting innocents around her for an attempt at pleasing the man who was standing in this very room with her. He obviously would never love her, and if he would stoop to such low levels, Naomi found herself wondering why she would have fallen for such a man in the first place. Speaking of the President, just what was he doing there in the first place? She decided not to answer the Reyvateil right away and turned to the human beside her. "What is it? What's the matter?" She asked the President, alarmed. "Very good plan, Mistress Tessia. And it's approved," he said nonchalantly with a wave. "We could use the Controller for the remainder of time she has left.""Hold it. I didn't authorize anything yet," Naomi argued, balling her fists. "It wasn't your place to. I do believe I told you that you were being reassigned. Transfer effective immediately. Remember? And you had until tomorrow to be at Headquarters in charge of the Reyvateil Research Project? Ring any bells?" He turned to the Reyvateil in front of him. "Which means, Tessia, you've been promoted to Chief in this special squad. Congratulations. Those reinforcements are now yours.""You can't do this. All of those innocent people..." He cut her off. "It appears that I was right in my decision to remove you from the front lines. You've gone soft. Don't feel bad, it happens to most women I hear. I will see you back at Headquarters." He waved at her and Tessia before exiting. "I expect good results, Chief Tessia. Just remember, I want the target alive. Do what you will to the resistance."Though she kept a calm exterior, inside Naomi was fuming. She turned back to the Reyvateil before her. "I ask, that you do only what is necessary, and keep the casualties to a minimum." She knew that likely Tessia would not listen to her at all, but it was worth a try. It would be up to Naomi now to somehow keep anyone from coming to harm.

Well, this was unexpected... The Reyvateil thought to herself after the president finished speaking. It was no secret that she did not like the president at all, often referred to him as a pig of a man. Still, there had to be a reason behind his actions. Something was definitely going on that she didn't know about. Still, it gave her the chance to finish what she had started and would take out any road blocks along the way. "Don't worry, Naomi. No Innocent people will be harmed..."

"Thank you," Naomi said softly to the Reyvateil. "Too many innocents have suffered already. My wish is that no one else will have to experience the same pain." She exited the room to prepare for her departure. She was to be back at headquarters by tomorrow morning, after all. "Goodbye," she murmured, though she knew Tessia would not be able to hear her. Now, Naomi knew what to expect, the problem was would she have the power to stop it? Or change it? She thought back to the past when Gannon and Tessia were on the run, and she would often aid them with inside C.P.G. information. In the end, her very association with them while she was still in with the C.P.G. had gotten Tessia killed. If she was going to keep Hikari truly safe, she would have to leave the safety of the company walls. Naomi had worked many years with C.P.G. first in hopes of impressing the President and then later because she didn't know where else she would go or how she would fit in. Her life was research on the Fau Pira and the Reyvateils that drew power from it. C.P.G. was the only place that actually funded the research. What do I do? Chances were if Naomi left, not only would her life be in danger, but Gannon wouldn't be likely to listen to her warnings anyway. Her research would be all for nothing. Unless... An idea occurred to her. Naomi was head of the Fau Pira research. All the information gathered in the database was there because she had entered it. She had total control and access over the information on the Fau Pira. Not even the President had that information. If she could copy the information on her portable terminal and take the most vital information with her, she would also be able to put a lock on the information in C.P.G. No one would be able to access the data but her. It would be difficult to make a clean break but Naomi was convinced. It was what needed to happen. If this doesn't happen at this rate, there won't be a Fau Pira left to study, and there won't be a world to exist in. She took off immediately for headquarters, plan forming in her mind.

The Reyvateil cut off the transmission and began working out the details of her plan. She knew that it would be some time before Zek could make it to Ce Palym. It would give her plenty of chance to get everything set up. In the mean time... She typed a few orders into her computer terminal and sent them out. Soon, she'd be on her way to Ce Palym to see an old friend

Gannon…
Gannon's eyes snapped open and his hand went for his blade. His breath came out in large puffs of steam in the cold air surrounding him. It took him a few seconds to remember where he was. Just a dream... He slowly stood up, making a soft crackling noise as his boots scraped across a layer of frost that had formed under where he slept. He was glad that he had picked a spot well away from everyone. They wouldn't have been affected by his magic. The Teru made his way out the door, making sure not to wake anyone. Judging from the sky, it was still early. He doubted the others would be awake any time soon. It would give him a chance to figure out what their options were.
