I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ Hikari sheepishly scratched the back of her head. "No, not really aside from just now," she admitted. "Well, I tried but that's when this," she gestured to her outfit before continuing, "appeared on me." She thought about her singing the healing Song only moments before. "I don't know, something feels lighter than it did before, I guess." She shrugged.
She was quiet for some time before speaking again. "So... umm... what do you think of it?" She asked shyly. "I mean, I've never been to a school, so I wouldn't know what a school uniform looks like, but does it look okay?" She bit her lip nervously. My Song is a Shining Light

Gannon…
Gannon nodded a bit. "Well, I really don't know too much about them, but I think it looks good on ya." He had to admit that the outfit did suit her well. As an after thought, he added. "Just don't let Zek see you in that."

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ Hikari tilted her head slightly in confusion before the Teru's words sunk in. Her eyes widened and she shook her head wildly, her face once again reddening. "N-no! Nonono!" She held her arms out as if to push away the very thought. "Not Sir Zek. He worries me enough already. I will stay as far away from him as I can. Gannon, can you promise me that if I have to wear this while I'm singing, that you'll protect me from him? Please?"
It was nice hearing him say that he thought she looked good, though. The Reyvateil allowed a small smile to appear on her lips briefly. She yawned and then shivered, a chill going through her. "I think it must be getting late. I'm getting tired... and cold," she murmured. Hikari wanted to ask Gannon about the picture and the woman in it but her courage escaped her at the defining moment and now Hikari had no choice but to sit back and accept the way things were going to be. She sighed, inwardly admitting defeat. "Should we head back and get some sleep?" She asked him.My Song is a Shining Light

Gannon…
"Well, that sounds like a plan." He spoke a word and the building around them vanished in an instant, leaving nothing but a puddle on the ground. The Teru began heading inside, waiting only for Hikari to follow. "Still... I think there was something else. Ya said 'Among other things.' What did ya mean?"

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ Hikari paused and turned around to face Gannon. She started, looking as though she were about to say something but stopped herself before she could get any words out. The girl was silent for some time and one could see that she was very deep in thought, thinking her choice of words over carefully before she sighed inwardly and gave up. "No... I think that's all I wanted to say," she finally spoke, disappointed in herself for her lack of courage. She couldn't meet the Teru's gaze and chose instead to turn around and head back inside before Gannon could question her again. She knew full well that he would be able to see through her lie. I can't. I just can't ask. I don't know if it's because I'm worried that I'm treading on painful memories for him or maybe I'm just scared to hear how he feels about her... NO! She shook her head vehemently, pushing the thought away. Hikari couldn't afford it. If she started to think that way about Gannon or anyone else, she would most definitely be hurt.
I have no business thinking that way about anyone. I'm a Third-Generation Reyvateil, an FPD at that. I'm a dangerous weapon. Nothing more, nothing less. To love someone is to kill them. To be loved is impossible. She had to keep thinking that. The barrier between her and everyone else around her had to remain intact. No matter what.My Song is a Shining Light

Ina Ina looked at the door and saw Blitz leaving the room. "In a moment." She got up and follow after the familiar. She was about to open the door when it was opened by the blond Reyvateil. Ina step aside and continue outside and saw the familiar covered in mud. She also notice the Teru but was more concerned about the familiar and decided to get close to Blitz and petted her, also removing the mud. "You must love the rain that much, don't you." She pause to look at the sky and get wet by the droplets. "Come on, let's go inside." Blitz nodded and follow the Teru, and smiled at the other Teru as they pass by. She then went to the same corner to try and get some sleep, the familiar cuddle up to her to try and keep the Teru warm. Ina put her hand on Blitz's head and tried to fall asleep.

"Oh, don't you worry. You'll die, too. Just not yet. I think I'll wait until after I kill that Teru whore. Should I let you watch?" The Reyvateil giggled a bit as she watched Zek's reaction. She was about to continue when a burst of static from the Comm unit interrupted her. "Ma'am, we've lost sight of the Teru. It looks like he had an accomplice. The two managed to free the prisoner from the Inn. We're conducting a sweep of the surrounding area, but the rain's washed away any tracks left by them." Tessia thumbed the comm button to respond. "I see... Report anything you find." She turned to look at the Dive Shop's owner. "Make sure a squad's ready to leave immediately. We're going to Ce Palym."

Gannon…
Gannon didn't believe Hikari for a second. It was obvious there was something she was dieing to ask, but for some reason, she just couldn't. He thought back to her Cosmosphere and about how lowly she thought of herself. There was little doubt in his mind that it had something to do with what was going on with her right now.
As they entered the building, he caught sight of the one eyed Teru smiling at them. He gave her a nod, still not sure what to make of her. She seemed odd, but then again, everyone in the group was a little off, most of all himself. As long as she didn't try any funny business, he supposed she was alright.
He caught up to Hikari as they got to the living room. It looked like pretty much everyone was asleep, but just in case, he decided to speak in Hymmnos. [It saddens me that you can't see how great you are.]

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ "[You know nothing about me. I know nothing about you. You cannot mean that.]" Hikari responded in Hymmnos, keeping her emotions guarded. Her eyes caught sight of Aaron as he lay asleep a few feet away and she bit her lip. Aaron... he left me. Gannon will too. Once they have what they want, I will be alone again. She shivered and hugged herself, the Pepen pressed up against her breast. "Forgive me," she said with a sigh. "I'm just cold... and tired." Hikari couldn't find much else to say. What else could be said?
Gannon was purposely pressing her; encouraging her to open up to him. It was almost like he knew exactly what to say to a Reyvateil to get them to open up. Almost like he'd had experience with a Reyvateil before her...
However, she knew very little about Gannon and so she was more than a little wary this time around.
This very same thing had happened to her before with Aaron. She had opened up to him; shown him her complete trust and faith while he had revealed almost nothing about himself. When he'd gotten what he wanted, he was gone. No, Hikari couldn't go through that again.
If she had learned anything about the relationships between Third-Generations and everyone else, it was that they would do or say whatever they could to use them. And then when the Reyvateil outlived her usefullness she was either abandoned or killed.
"Are you tired as well?" She hoped the lame question would deter him from the subject. My Song is a Shining Light

Gannon…
He couldn't say he was surprised with her answer. In fact, he'd been kind of expecting it. Still, after all they'd been through in the last few days, he couldn't help but feel the sting, if only slightly. "Yeah... Tired." He stretched his arms and let out a yawn. The pain from the recent battles was still there, but it wasn't anything like what it had been. Then again, he was lucky to even be alive. "Maybe we should get some sleep. The rest could do us both some good." He grinned at the Reyvateil. "Heck, as long as I don't get shot outta the air again, I might be darn near back to 100% by mornin'. And then maybe we can talk a bit more..."

Nereus Nereus woke up from Hikari and Gannon talking to each other. He let out a yawn as he got up and went to the bathroom. During the time in the room he pondered if she will ever remember. While flushing, he remembered a bit about the blond human; the word Aaron echoed his mind. He went to the sink to splash his face. Once that was done, he went back toward where he was sleeping but notice the Teru and familiar in a corner. He approach the Teru, and whisper silently as he could. "Do you want to take my spot? I know that it's way comfortable than this corner. I am Nereus by the way."

Ina Ina was finally going to sleep when she heard a voice of a man that sounded familiar. She grab the by his neck and pull him closer to her. Ina looked at him for a long time before saying anything. "I guess your not him...Nereus was it?" She let go of him while Blitz open one eye to see what was the commotion. The Familiar went back to sleep. Ina then answer his question, "I don't need your sympathy...you just worry about yourself human!" With that said she turned the other way and wonder why she reacted that way. Must be that the person she is looking for sounded the same as the human. Ina rub her missing eye, trying to fall asleep.

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ She smiled back at him. "Okay, tomorrow then. It's a promise?" A tiny hope filled her. Maybe, just maybe, this time would be different. Maybe she would gain a true friend this time, instead of someone who would only use her. "[I strongly wish to know you better, and show you more of myself in return.]" She spoke the last part in Hymmnos, softly and shyly but hoped that he caught it. More than that, she hoped that he would accept it. "[I would be very happy to have a true friend.]" A red tint dusted her cheeks as she spoke the words, though she was pretty certain that no one else could understand her. Not many beings besides Reyvateils could speak Hymmnos, after all. Only a select few who studied the language could make out most of what they spoke. On top of that, even someone who spoke as fluent as Gannon, Hikari knew without a doubt that there was a lot more about the language that she knew than he did. "Good night."
She noticed that a couple others were up, including Nereus. Hikari wondered what it was that she could say to him. Luckily he was preoccupied with the one-eyed Teru so it saved her the worry. At least for now, Hikari would be able to go to sleep without worrying. My Song is a Shining Light

Gannon…
[I'll happily tell you anything you wish to know.] He responded in Hymmnos. After all these years, it was strange . It had been so long since he had last spoken Hymmnos at any length. Between that, the old friends he'd seen in the last few days, and being back here, he almost felt at peace. Almost... He caught himself looking in the direction of an old framed photograph on a small table on the other side of the room. He shook his head as if to clear it. "Huh...Guess I really am tired. I'm spacin' out. Maybe we should get some sleep, eh?" He looked to the bed, seeing it was full. "Hmm... Well, that chair over there tilts back. Yer more than welcome ta take it. G'night." He took a spot in the corner of the room facing the entry way and sat down, leaning against the wall. He rested his weapons on the floor next to him, not really worried that he'd need them. Soon, exhaustion took over and the Teru slept.
