Miko~

Though she was certain that Mana wasn't the type to cheat no matter how drunk she got, the younger sister nodded to Gannon and moved behind her older twin, who at first looked like she was going to start rummaging for Dream Chaser Water until she dropped her cards. Miko sighed inwardly and massaged her temples, trying desperately not to feel embarrassed. When her sister yelled out 'Blackjack' she lost the inner battle and wished for nothing more than to just disappear into a hole in the floor.
Now, Miko was no expert in cards or gambling. Normally, that was her sister's area of expertise. But she was pretty sure that Blackjack only dealt out 2 cards at a time... "Umm... Mana?" She tapped her sister on the shoulder and whispered into her ear. "I could be mistaken but I think this is Poker..."

Mana~

Mana burst into a fit of giggles. "Hahahaha... Sis, I really had you goin' there, din't I? Not that drunk yet!" She quieted down, figuring it was time to get serious with her cards. Definitely keeping those two Aces and Jack though, she thought to herself. Might as well go for broke. I'm feeling lucky and dangerous tonight!

Miko~

"Well, in any case, I'm pretty sure you'll do just fine without the Dream Chaser Water," Miko responded to Mana. Right, she says she's not that drunk yet. Ugh... Miko grasped the back of the chair her sister was seated in and tightened her hands around it until her knuckles white. It was all she could do to not cry from embarrassment at Mana's behavior. Are we even related? She asked herself despairingly. She refrained from looking anyone in the eye and just concentrated on her sister's hand. She almost asked Mana out loud what she was planning on doing with the two Aces and one Jack but stopped herself, remembering that she didn't want to reveal her sister's hand to everyone else.

~Nel~
The minty-haired Reyvateil stirred, having been poked and prodded by the familiar. "Hmm...? Oh, was I sleeping?" She asked with a yawn and rubbed her eyes. Nel noticed that she had been slumped up against the door the other Reyvateil had locked herself behind. She jumped up. "Oh, no. Everyone, that girl! She's still behind the door." Her bottom lip trembled for she was upset that she had failed to comfort Hikari and instead had fallen asleep, leaving the other girl trapped in the tiny closet. She absent-mindedly patted the familiar on the head, taking a small comfort in the little creature's friendly nature.

Gannon…
Gannon watched the other two players for any tells. Unfortunately, with how drunk Mana was quickly getting, he doubted he'd get anything out of her. Ina on the other hand, he didn't know her at all. Though, this was a very good way to get to know what kind of person the one eyed Teru was. Hmmm... "So, how many ya need?" The question was directed at Ina, but Miko's intense interest in her sister's cards did not escape his notice.

Ina She seem displease at the hand she got. The only one of use was the two tens and the queen. "Two." She said in a monotone. What she was interest in was the Dream Chaser Water. She was also occupied by the storm. She thought to herself on letting it slow down after thirty minuets passed by. Blitz looked at the mint colored Reyvateil with great concern when she stood up and said something. Blitz nuzzle the girl as she petted her. The familiar let out a small yawn as she cuddle the shoe of the Reyvateil. Ina took a quick glance at Blitz and chuckle a bit.

Gannon…
The Teru ignored the young Reyvateil's outburst for the moment. He believed it was best to let Hikari come out when she was ready. In the mean time, he dealt the one eyed woman two more cards. "How 'bout you, Mana? How many ya want?"

Mana~

"Nel, let's leave her alone fer now. She's sleepin' anyways," the half-Teru responded to the Reyvateil before turning back to her game. She stared at her cards with a neutral expression. Years of gambling and experience as a bounty hunter had at least given her an advantage in masking her emotions, even while drunk.
Most people lost sense of themselves and let things slip while drunk. Mana never did. Sure, she liked it and would act ridiculously while doing incredibly stupid things, but everything she did she was still well aware of.
Her face was a cold mask as she contemplated her next move. Might as well go for it, she thought and with that the decision was made. "Meh, I suppose gimme two," she said nonchalantly with a shrug as she discarded the unwanted 3 of hearts and 7 of clubs.

Miko~

The younger twin frowned at the others. They didn't even seem to care that Nel was upset or that Hikari was still locked up in the other room. Even my own sister! She thought angrily. She turned away from their game and approached the Reyvateil and familiar, deciding that if the others weren't going to try to comfort the Reyvateils, she would have to do it herself. After all, from all the studying she had done, wasn't easing a Reyvateil's mind another part of a Vanguard's duty?
Miko smiled gently and took hold of the other girl's hand. "It's going to be all right. Let's try to get some rest, too. Come on, I'll tell you a story, all right?" She tugged on her hand, pulling both the Reyvateil and the familiar over to the other side of the room by a shelf. There were some blankets on the shelf and she pulled them off, laying one on the floor and settling down on it. She patted the spot next to her encouragingly and looked up at Nel.

~Nel~
"B-but-" Nel tried to protest but was lead gently away by Miko. When she was invited to sit down beside her she did so, however reluctantly. "Okay," she sighed quietly. She folded her hands neatly in her lap and nodded. "But do you think she'll be okay?"

Gannon…
Gannon dealt two more cards to Mana before discarding three of his own. "And dealer takes three." The cards came up 8, 8, Ace. Not bad... Still nowhere near what I wanted. As Miko lead the young Reyvateil away to comfort her, Gannon raised an eyebrow. Guess it's just in her nature to take care of people...

Miko~

"I'm certain that she will," Miko replied, reaching over to pat the Reyvateil on the head gently. "Now then... a story..." She thought back through her vast knowledge of myths and legends. Miko had studied the old legends of the world extensively and there were so many to choose from. She thought of a particular story she could tell to the young Reyvateil. Finally, she settled for a Myth she happened to like. Mainly because she understood the feelings of the people in them.
She cleared her throat. "All right, how about the Goddess of Life and the God of Death?" Miko paused before continuing. "Long ago, there was a beautiful Goddess who was given the task of sustaining Ar Ciel's life. She was in constant war with the one tasked with the responsibility of the dead. The battles continued until one day Life came upon Death." Miko was lost in her own world as she told the stories. "It was love at first sight, however it was forbidden, because they were bitter enemies. They paid no attention to the warnings, and soon a child was born."

Mana~

Mana had been dealt two cards but ignored them momentarily, having been distracted by the Myth that Miko was telling to the Reyvateil. "Heh, that one, eh?" She murmured with a tiny smile. Her sister had always liked that one when they were younger.
Mana remembered Miko constantly chatting on and on about the Myth, and she just sat back while her sister talked. After all, the Myth gave Miko hope and Mana couldn't bear to take that away. After all, the Myth stood for the acceptance of those caught in the middle. Those of mixed blood. According to the Myth, every single mortal being carried mixed blood and so everyone should accept everyone else.
Mana herself didn't necessarily share Miko's passion for that Myth, or rather, any Myths or Legend for that matter. But as long as it made her sister happy, she was happy.
She shook her head slightly and turned back to the game. "Heh. Lessee what I got now," she said, picking the cards up. She took a look at her cards. A Jack and a Two. Two pair so far... eh? She kept a blank face and glanced at the others.

Ina Ina was please with a cards she got, but her face said otherwise. In her thoughts, she plot on going with three pairs. She look at Blitz who was paying close attention to the story of the the Teru twin. You always did get along with others, despite them being enemies. I envy you sometimes, you know?Blitz turn aroung and gave a small smile, almost like asking permission to be on this spot. After waiting for a bit, she turned back to the story.

Gannon…
"Alrght. Let's see what ya got." The Teru set his cards down. Two pair. 3's and 8's with an Ace. He listened to the story Miko told the young Reyvateil. It was one he knew well. He'd heard it many times before. Still, it wasn't an unpleasant story.
