I always spend a part of my winter months in Florida. At first it was because of a bit of a medical reason back in 2004 and now it's become habit because it's just more cost effective to close up the house in Illinois for a few months than to have it running for just one person. I got down here a little late because of my mom's surgery recovery but I'm away from the snow and the idiocy that is Illinois politics (thank god).

Ahh, I see. Good to get away from the cold. Here in the UK it seems to be getting colder, and even I'm getting fed up of being frozen!! (I'm usually better in cold weather than heat.)

Read what happened to you earlier. Reminds me of my sister (she lives in Tennessee) and how she usually talks to me about how crazy people drive down there. Especially since I haven't seen a straight road there when I visited her a few years ago. They're mostly slanted or curved in Tennessee (not counting neighborhood streets, obviously). Hmm.
And lucky you, you get to miss a snowstorm (and Jesse Jackson Jr.'s indictment, hopefully)! So... hooray...!*

I was damn lucky. And missing snow is a fair unfortunate side effect of getting out of town in time to miss the primaries for that race. I don't know if I'll be back for the actual election but I'll miss all the idiotic campaign commercials.

I totally need to come up with a new avatar so I can go asking around for freebies again or work up something with a friend to get some more quality art of my pixie but I'm leery of doing anything with that glitch going around. I've seen what the glitch has done to some people and it's downright ugly to the point where I don't know why they remove the glitched item. I can't even look at someone's avatar in the GCD right now.
I totally need to come up with a new avatar so I can go asking around for freebies again or work up something with a friend to get some more quality art of my pixie but I'm leery of doing anything with that glitch going around. really like it a lot too but it's nice to switch things up every so often. Plus, I'm kind of in a character mood again and feel like making something a little more in line with how she is when I role-play with her and it helps to have a couple of different looks for people to choose from for art like that. Kind of wish Gaia had a leg mod like the one in the Rogue Narok in a color that would work with the corset I have on.

Yeah I can get that I like to play around with my items as well, my main art outfits are the one's I keep in my sig, so I never thought to keep a lot of options open before. That is a nice leg mod, a recolor would be nice but with the way those things tend to work out it would probably be expensive.

The park seems to be the hip happening place for the toddler set to gather right before lunchtime. This morning while on my walk at the local park I was greeted by the sight of a stroller parade. Toddler after toddler being pushed around by their moms. I guess if you build an awesome train themed playground with a boat that actually rocks the toddlers will appear in droves. xp
