The Reyvateil kept a pleasant smile on her face as she listened to Nereus talk, all the while the urge to separate his head from his body grew. "You should be commended. Risking yourself to dig through a ruined building to look for survivors." The Reyvateil suppressed a laugh as the human dug himself a deeper grave .He had to have known that there was someone in there for him to have been digging. "Though, it was lucky that there was actually someone in that building. After all, it would have been a shame for you to dig through all of that and not have anybody in there. There is one more thing..." She turned and looked at the screen once more before turning back to the human. "What do you have to say to the reports from eye witnesses saying that you were involved in the battle that took place. Several of our people were there in the crowd when the Reyvateil went berserk."

Gannon…

"Well, now that that's settled..." The Teru canceled the magic he'd been using to keep the one eye'd female imprisoned and the ice vanished. He'd have to keep an eye on her, but they needed to get moving. They were soaked and he didn't know how long the Reyvateils would be able to take those conditions without having a relapse. "Alright. We gotta get moving. We'll have to find a dry area so we can make camp. Get a fire going so we can dry off. Mana, need me to carry her?" Gannon nodded to the unconscious Reyvateil.

"Sure, Gannon, if ya want," Mana answered. "That frees me up to keep an eye on any loose ends." Her icy gaze was pinpointed toward all of the newcomers. "One can never be too careful. Who knows what accidents might happen. Don't worry." The expression on her face darkened and she flashed a dangerous smirk. "I'll watch the rear... Wouldn't want anyone sneaking up behind us now would we?"

The Teru moved to where Miko and the sleeping Reyvateil were. Kneeling down, Gannon took hold of the young girl, getting ready to pick her up. Before he did, he whispered to the half-Teru. "Hey, keep an eye on yer sister. Okay? I think we're all gettin' a little high strung. All this runnin' around's gettin' pretty tiring, eh?" Gannon knew it was very true for himself as well. The constant running and fighting was weighing heavily on him, but at the same time, it felt very familiar.

A glance at Hikari, and he knew exactly why.

After all these years, how could he have let himself get caught up in this? Was it his fate? Or was the Goddess giving him another chance to succeed where he had failed before? And you'll risk everything for that, wouldn't you? The Teru felt a tightness in his chest as memories of the past flooded back. It may have been fatigue or it could have been the place. After all, the last time he'd come to this town, he'd been being hunted by the C.P.G. A thought struck him like a lightning bolt.

The Teru stood, leaving the Reyvateil in Miko's arms as he glanced around the area, looking for familiar landmarks."Well, I'll be damned..." Judging by the terrain and the location of the tower, he knew exactly where they were and were they were going to go. He bent down and picked up the young girl. He couldn't help but think of the battle that they just had with her. He knew it wasn't a good idea to bring her with, but what chance did she have on her own? "Alright, guys. Let's head out. Aaron, up front with me. Hikari, stay close to Miko, okay? And..." The Teru had to stop for a moment and think. "Nel, wasn't it? Stay close to the girls. We'll be outta here and some place warm soon. 'Kay? And as for...Ina, Judging from yer name and that little rain stunt you pulled, I'd say yer a descendant of the Ougus family. Once we're on our way, I want you to try that little Rain Prayer of yours again on this area. It should slow down anyone following us, and get rid of our tracks at the same time. Everyone got it?" Gannon shifted the girl in his arms and started walking before anyone had the chance to answer. "Let's move out."

"Of course I will," Miko responded. "Umm... I just hope she doesn't hold that grudge for too much longer." She chuckled nervously thinking of how over-protective her sister had been in the past. Sometimes it bordered on obsession but Miko just figured that it had been Mana's own way to cope with the loss of their parents and having been thrown into a discriminating society. Miko had simply broken down from it and let others walk all over her at times. Mana had completely shut down emotionally and become cold as ice to everyone else except those that mattered. Those that her sister actually cared about she jumped to defend viciously without warning.

Keeping that thought in mind Miko fell back until she was close to her twin, smiling nervously.

Hikari had hoped to talk a little with Aaron on the way there, but to her disappointment, Gannon had called him up front. I guess he still doesn't trust him... Which made sense, she figured. And she understood it, but she still ached to speak with him and ask him why. Why had he left her? Hadn't they been friends? Wasn't she special to him? Why did he show up now with another girl after promising her that he would protect her always? Especially after what she had allowed him to do with her. She sighed but nodded to Gannon. "All right." She also fell back beside Mana and Miko, noticing Mana's agitation. So Hikari mustered as much of a smile as she could and grabbed Mana's hand to get the half-Teru's attention, and gave it a squeeze.

Now that they were on their way, the Teru's mind began to process what had happened to them. They had no supplies, but that should change once they got to where they were going.
After a few moments of silence, Gannon decided to answer the human. "More or less in the same direction. Closer ta where ya wanna go than where we are now, anyways." Gannon glanced behind them to see how far in front of the group they were. It looked like they were far enough ahead to have a conversation.
"You seem ta mean a lot ta her. You two have a history and I get that. But with what we've been through lately... Well, let's just say if I hadn't been runnin' on all cylinders, you wouldn'ta had that little reunion back there."
