I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ "W-wha? Wait, please stop!" The stranger pulled her along with him. "Aaah! Stop it!" She screamed, struggling to break his grip, until she caught a glimpse of his face and stopped. "Wait... Aaron?" She successfully pulled her hand away and hugged herself. Yet someone else whom she'd allowed herself to trust but regretted it in the end...My Song is a Shining Light

"Hika... Hikari!" The young man stepped forward, putting his hands on the Reyvateil's shoulders. "What happened? Why are you out here?" He frowned a little upon his inspection of her. She'd seemed to have lost weight and looked rather pale in comparison to the last time he'd seen her. She obviously hadn't been taken care of very well...

Gannon…
Gannon watched Hikari go, thinking it best to give her some space. He doubted she'd go far. It was still far too early for a patrol to be set up this far out. Still... A scream in the distance settled the matter. "HIkari!" The Teru was up and running in a heartbeat. There was no way that the C.P.G. could have made it this far.
Within moments, Gannon broke through the tree line and spotted the Reyvateil being pulled along by someone he'd never seen before. "Get away from her!" Gannon called on his magic, forming a blade out of ice. "Hikari, you alright?"

...Tessia... While Tessia waited for the soldiers to bring in the witness, she began flipping through some of the paper work that Naomi had included with her supplies. "Looks like they were first spotted in Ce Palym..." Her mind raced. She knew there was a connection that she and Gannon had to that town. What was it? The inn... Melody! Tessia flipped through the pages in front of her and her thoughts were confirmed. There was an incident at the Inn. If she failed to apprehend the Reyvateil here, then she'd pay an old friend a visit.

Nereus Surrounded by soldiers, Nereus sigh silently as he remove the rock that was on his hand to the side. He thought to himself as he slowly raise his hand and face the soldier who told him to do so. They should be in the outskirts of town. I should buy them more time, that is the least I could do for them. Nereus bit his lips a bit as he could not make a promise that he made to himself when Hikari was being taken away by Gannon. He promise her, in his mind that he would dig the two up and meet them sometime later. He bit his lips harder the more he thought about that broken promise that was never made. Nereus could taste his blood as he bit it to hard. He then look up and wonder if it would ever go back the way it use to be. Quickly, Aaron pulled out his weapon on Gannon. "She's not your property, C.P.G. dog! Get your filthy hands away from her or I'll be more than happy to cut them away myself." His eyes flashed angrily, and he poised to attack.

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ Hikari gasped when Gannon summoned his magic and threatened to attack. She realized that this could get ugly really shortly. Especially when Aaron began to retaliate. "Please! Please wait! I know him, Gannon. Aaron, it's okay. He's been helping me, so everything is all right!" She hoped to diffuse the situation as quickly as possible. She approached Aaron, and put her hand on his weapon, lowering it. She couldn't bring herself to look Aaron in the eye. Old feelings of hurt and betrayal once again arose, fresh as the first day she'd experienced them. "So, please..."My Song is a Shining Light

~Nel~
"Wait you guys! Oof!" Nel jumped out of the brush and tripped, falling into Gannon. She pushed away from him to steady herself. "Look, we're obviously not enemies, right?" She bit her lip and glanced back and forth. The situation was tense, indeed. How could she diffuse such a situation?

Gannon…
Gannon continued to glare at the man, not lowering his weapon in the slightest. Hikari seemed to know him, and judging by the tone of his voice, he was no fan of the C.P.G. Still, he was a long way from trusting this stranger. But before he could say anything, something slammed into his side. At first, the Teru thought it was some kind of attack. But as soon as he saw what struck him, the idea left just as quickly as it had arrived. "Damnit, kid. Watch where yer goin'. What would you've done if you'd run into this?" He held up the weapon in his hand." Now that there was someone younger there, he decided it would be a good idea to calm down. After a quick glance back to Aaron and Hikari, Gannon let the blade drop to the ground. "Alright, Hikari. I'm listening. Mind filling me in?"

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ She had been so wrapped up in getting them to stop fighting that Gannon's question caught her completely off guard. What do I say? To be honest, Hikari wasn't sure where to start. She couldn't possibly disclose the past she shared with Aaron during the time spent in the C.P.G. Labs, could she? Not only did she know that Gannon would probably lose his temper, causing hostility to break out again between the two. On top of that, the feelings that accompanied those memories, Hikari wasn't sure that she could completely trust them to Gannon. "..." She looked away. "I don't know how I can answer that..." She muttered, her cheeks burning. "I'm sorry."My Song is a Shining Light

--Aaron Leon Cecil--
"Hikari..." Aaron clenched his fists, angry at Gannon for opening old wounds on Hikari, and angrier at himself for causing them in the first place. "Look, I don't know how in the hell you think it's your damn business anyway, but if she doesn't want to answer you, then take the hint," he snapped, but when he saw the pained expression on the Reyvateil's face, he softened. "Look, I'm sorry, Hikari. But right now isn't the time for this. Nell and I just left Seraca to hide out in Behdla, only to find it burning to the ground. C.P.G. wants her for something. But if we can get into the Church she should be all right. We need a place to wait it out though." He grunted. "Now what?" He muttered, more to himself than anyone else.

Gannon…
Gannon ignored Aaron's response for the time being. He was more concerned with Hikari. "Look, ya don' need ta apologise. We both got stuff in our past that's touchy." The Teru stepped in between Hikari and the man from her past, turning his back on Aaron, showing him just how little he thought of him. "But as your vanguard, I have to put your safely above all else. Now, I don't know the first think about what's his face," He gestured toward the blonde haired man. "But if you trust 'im, I s'pose I can work with that. 'Least he gave us some info. Looks like we can't head ta Seraca like we planned. Maybe we should head back to camp and figure out our next move."

~Nel~
"I'm really sorry, Sir! I didn't mean to..." She flinched as she was chided, and bowed respectfully. "I will try to watch more carefully where I'm going next time." At least some of the tension cleared, although it seemed that Cecil was still glaring at the Teru with the intent to kill while the other barely acknowledged his presence. And his name was Aaron? She glanced over at Aaron in puzzlement. He hadn't mentioned that name before. Nel figured she would have to ask him about it later. "So, what are we going to do?"

I am the Light of this World The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ Hikari nodded slightly. She was certain the color still remained on her cheeks. "Y-yes." She sighed and lowered her head. She supposed she ought to call herself lucky that Gannon trusted her judgement enough to not make any rash moves, even when she obviously did not trust him with some trivial knowledge about her past. She wondered if she wasn't overstepping her boundaries by asking him to stay, but she felt compelled to. "Aaron, will you please stay the night? Maybe we can all figure something out if we put our heads together," she suggested meekly. After all, he just waltzed out of her life the first time. And now, their paths were intertwined once more. She took this as a sign. And though her feelings about it were conflicted, she did care deeply about Aaron, despite the pain she felt. Hikari didn't think she would be able to handle being seperated from him again. Then, there was the girl with him to consider. Why did Aaron leave after what happened? Was it so he could go and protect this new girl instead? Did their friendship not mean as much to him as it had to Hikari? Her heart clenched painfully at the thought and she turned away from Gannon, unable to look him, or anyone else in the eye for that matter. She was ashamed for how pitifully she was acting. "That is, only if everyone is all right with it," she added quietly. My Song is a Shining Light

"Why don't you come with us, Hikari?" Aaron answered while pushing past the stubborn Teru. Obviously this one couldn't be trusted. He was first seen hauling her away against her will, and now was trying to isolate her from people that could really help her? It sounded suspiciously more like one of those controlling wife-beaters than a concerned vanguard to Aaron. Heh. Over my dead body. And Aaron wasn't going to die anytime soon.
