Oh-- a day for my floor always equals 12 hours. yup yup. And I WISH. UGH. I keep trying to knit but everytime I try.. I fail horribly. HORRIBLY.

And how many hours per week is considered full time? I'm going based on my country's legislation, but a full time job consists of 48 hours per week, you work 12 hours each day for 3 days, so it's not a full time job, but it's not a part time either.

o-o hm. I'm not really sure. I know that our pay is biweekly-- and the full-time nurses work 3 days one week, and 4 days the next. Then the cycle repeats.

Usually someone starts an illegal broadcast on Ustream in this kind of events. At least this is what people do when there's an important soccer event.

Oh, the anon event is over already? I lost a buck when it was revealed the number of characters of the name, damn.

Yeah but Major League Baseball holds a very tight reign over things like this. They won't let the radio stations broadcasting the games to put it on their live online streams of their stations. Usually, the team might have an app for listening to all of their games on a smart phone, tablet, or iPod. But the fact that he couldn't see the game because he didn't want to expand his cable package and TBS (the main basic cable station showing the playoffs here) wasn't given the game to show in the afternoon is kind of laughable. I so have the urge to respond to his Facebook with "First world problem first world problem" but that might not be taken in the context I'd be giving it (totally jokingly). He's being a disgruntled Cardinals fan at the moment and I guess boys like that need to have their temper tantrum rants when their favorite things are taken from them. xp

Good grief! In the U.S. full time is 40 hours per week, 8 hours a day. Part time is maybe 32 hours or less in a week, and it can be sporadically placed, even over weekends.

@__@ Whaaaa....!? *feels exploited*

But with this, things are a bit clearer. Part time would mean 20 hours per week right? So 3 days with 12 hours each...still more than part time but not enough to full. Unless part time means anything lower than full, like, 39 hours would still be considered part time? I suggest an alternative job, something you could do from your home.

Wait, wait. 40 hours per week/8 per day...so if I go by the basic schedule, it means you have 2 days off? We have to work even on Saturdays! This calls for a strike emotion_donotwant
Oh wait, we have strikes everyday, nevermind lol

People here usually consider 32 hours or less to be part time. Teenagers in high school often take less (about 19 or 20 hours per week) due to school schedules. If you do the typical schedule, you get Saturday and Sunday off. However, there are other schedules. For instance, my mom works every other weekend and always has Mondays off. This way, you balance out to still getting 40 hours on average per week. She is paid bi-weekly. Some people get paid weekly, others monthly. It just depends on your career field.

That's what I meant with basic. We still need to develop a better labour law that could be convenient for both worker and employer. I have seen both sides and it's been exploited greatly.
But now I understand a bit better the US laws.

Oh god, I've become obsessed with checking the marketplace every few hours checking on that Melodious Magician. it's gone up and down several times since it came out yesterday. I'm almost ready to just buy it next time it goes down to 500,000g

I'm gonna die in about 6 hours. Lost a receipt and father is soooo gonna get mad. Have a plan B, but still gonna be lectured again about putting things in order and blahblahyadayada, which sucks since i'm pretty sure I put that receipt in the folder *facedesks*. Must check my room again.

Dead. No trace of receipt so had to tell father. Fortunately, he was sleepy and didn't rant too much. He actually told me to try not to be anxious about things. I think he got used to my incompetence with paperwork XD. And yeah, putting things in the proper place, which I'm sure I actually did. Time for plan B and make a few calls.

benefits are different also ...I'm part time so even If I work 40 hours I don't get paid vacations I don't get sick days I get crapper health insurance
I do get paid holidays though and a guaranteed no less than 20 hours a week many high schoolars or collage kids are seasonal which means they mostly get less than 20 hours...and do not get paid holidays

Trying my darndest to visit the forum, but not only have I been lazy, I've been caught up in something.

Curse you, Pokemon White 2! AGH! *shakes fist*

And now, for a tiny rant. My three most hated words (so far):

-Chagrin (Thanks, Stephenie Meyer. You ruined my former favorite word by using it incorrectly so much!)
-Pedestrian (Not as in walker/pedestrian. In usage like this, "It just looks very pedestrian." I HATE THAT.)
-Hater(s) (Stop that. It makes you sound lazy in an argument.)
(And for those curious, my new favorite word is "crappy".)

And now, back to life. BF's idiot brother finally got hit by the karma train. Took 'em long enough. And now he has to attend school for 40 minutes a day, five days a week until January. And he has to do that for a diploma.

And if he can't even do THAT... there will be lots of these: emotion_facepalm

*sits in her bed with hot tea* I shall wait and see what happens.
