I am learning: Japanese-2 years now French-1 year
I know simple phrase, counting, and/or the writting systems of: Korean Spanish
I can count in: Chinese Gaelic German
I only know how to write Russian. I can't really pronounce anything correctly in Russian, so it's hard for me to remember vocabulary. DX
[December 2007] Fluent~ English...Still
Intermediate/decent~ Japanese (3 years) French (2 years)
Decent-ish/beginner~ Spanish (6 months) (French helps ALOT) German (3 months)
Beginner/half-assing~ Russian (alphabet & very basic phrases) Korean (alphabet & greetings)

2007 I know: Swedish, English and Italian. I can understand: Norwegian and Spanish. Learning in school: Japanese. Learning on my own: Korean (and Finnish). Uh, pretty much the same... But I'm not in Japanese class anymore, so that's the change, I guess. And I'm not learning Finnish really, that was more of a joke. No progress for me! biggrin

Fluent in: Hebrew. Pretty much fluent in: English. Pathetically intermediate: German. Currently learning: Yiddish (high beginner) Polish (low beginner) Swedish (low beginner) Can understand/speak: Russian. Would like to learn: Arabic, Czech, Finnish and Russian.

But doesn't that mean that you're doing too many at once, since you don't have enough time to do all of them?
Anyway, I don't think I ever made a post in this thread, so I'll post a mini-profile here for future use. 3nodding
Absolutely Completely Fluent in: English Fluent, but not been educated in: Cantonese Fairly advanced in: French Pathetically intermediate: German. Currently learning: Mandarin (can read quite a bit) Korean (still really a beginner)
Would like to learn in the future, when I've finished my current languages: Japanese Maybe Vietnamese

Learning: Spanish [Three years] (Fluent because I would be able to find my way around somewhere, using only Spanish... It counts, right? ~__~) French [One and a half years] Lithuanian [About a year] Japanese [Two and a half years] Icelandic [A few months, maybe two/ kind of half-assing at the moment] Italian [About a year- I kind of held off on it a bit/ kind of half-assing as well] Malaysian [Eh... Half a year or so]
