Can you believe this thread was made almost a year ago? (:
I thought, since this was made in January, that we could revise these so we could see how much we have progressed in our language skills. Or we could see what we have slacked in. (:
Just find your old post and quote it, then compare.
[January 2007] Fluent in: English
I am learning: Japanese-2 years now French-1 year
I know simple phrase, counting, and/or the writting systems of: Korean Spanish
I can count in: Chinese Gaelic German
I only know how to write Russian. I can't really pronounce anything correctly in Russian, so it's hard for me to remember vocabulary. DX

Aspirations: Hungarian, Finnish, maybe Estonian, and Czech, Polish, Ukrainian, and all of the other Slavic languages (xD) and Italian and more. xDDD

Fluent in: English (mother tongue)
Formerly advanced in (been so long since I've spoken it): German (studied for 4 years at school and got an A* at GCSE)
Intermediate: French (spent 3 years learning it at school then dropped it a few years ago)
Beginning: Spanish (know basic phrases but can't really be motivated to learn more right now)
Beginning: Welsh (this is what I am focusing on right now)
Very Basic: Latin (did some of this at school years ago and can remember a few random phrases and bits of grammar)
[Cannot comprehend: American wink (colour is supposed to be spelt with a "u", and it is pronounced "zed" not "zee" wahmbulance )]

My planned languages : German Spanish Russian Basic Ukrainian
Currently learning : German (intermeiate), DE is priority Russian (just started) Ukrainian (just the cyrillic for now)
Know a little of but not learning : Spanish Dutch French (EDIT, missed one) Japanese
Only know some Japanese from jiu-jitsu, they would name the throws in Japanese.

Fluent: English Learning: Spanish [Two years] Japanese [One and a half years] French [Since last summer] Irish [Two months/On hold] Russian [Half a year] Italian [One and a half years] Latin [Five-six months/On hold] Korean [Since last summer/On hold] Lithuanian [Two weeks or so] German [Just a few days ago]
I want to learn nearly every language, so, I'm not listing all of them... :3

I can count in:French, Japanese (only 1-10)
Currently I'm learning Japanese on my own. I've got some people that can help if I'm stuck (like on pronounciation), but felt that maybe someone here could help more, if they where fluent in english and japanese?

Zē forever! domokun I actually prefer the /zi/ sound to "zed" - most of the other letters end in an /i/, so why shouldn't this one?
