☂The water slayer proved she was not going to go easy, and continued to make things difficult, though the dark guild master would not allow such behavior in her underground lab, not by a long shot. If the girl wanted to go hard, than she would feel pain she'd never felt before until she would be forced to make things easy. The day was still young, and the pain meter was going to reach ever high heights should the girl continue to defy everything asked. "Little girl..don't be stupid. Keep defying, and you'll end up where your guild master ended. I know you miss them, but is it wise to push yourself into hell much too quickly?" Kimura would question with a smirk, with Kaya's next remark the tiny room would start to feel burning pressure, however it was only Kaya's space it affected. The heat would radiate around, reaching about 100 degrees the cell would become, this mostly from the guild master losing her patience from the slayer. "Listen water brat..I know everything there is to know about your guild. I've done my research, I know more about your guild members than you can even begin to know. I know there weaknesses, I know what would really drive them into crazed pain. I guess that means I'll just have to prove it, I'll make sure I show you right in your face. I'll make you regret stating that, you will see soon enough." Kim would say grinning while bearing her dragon fangs, her smile widening upon the girl's screaming out from the electric collar upon pressing the highest setting. Her face resting there in pain, truly beautiful! She enjoyed such a sight up close, enjoying every view and side glance from her, it was truly remarkable!
Kimura would turn a bit, hearing Raine's shrieks, her smile never fading as Ciaran seemed to be playing an impressive job on the blood mage. Once Kaya began to speak up again, the dark guild leader would watch her with amusement, her words were barely allowing them self to come out, most likely from the severe shock. "Like I said he would of already told me if he knew. Still, I hope you enjoyed that shock! There's plenty more where that came from." Kim would state, lifting the remote up to tease the girl, maybe even scare her. She could zap her all day, and it wouldn't do anything other than physically torture her, she wasn't going to die anytime soon. The girl seemed to suggest she wasn't be secretive, which in a way was hard to believe or take seriously. No one forgets there childhood, she was hiding something, but what? "The more you lie, the harder it'll be." She would smirk, daring to play hard ball as she enjoyed tormenting her captives, though it was annoying also not getting the information she clearly desired. Even as Kimura leaned in to scare her, Kaya seemed to have different ideas, and yet the fire slayer was actually suspecting she would pull something like that. She was well prepared, knowing she would try that little sneak attack. In the blink of an eye, Kimura's sandal shoe would kick at her, striking right in the noggin along with some fire that tipped a bit of her foot, though it would only burn Kaya, not attach itself in any way. She would press her foot forward and slam her head backwards, increasing the amount of pain along with the siring heat the room developed in. "Fool, do you not understand you are chained? It's futile to fight back. Now be a good little girl and tell me everything you can remember from your childhood, do so or I will have to shock you again. You do remember the pain that you felt from it, do you not?" Kimura would question with a sickening smirk, her finger dangerously close to the button as she lowered her foot back to the ground. If Kaya decided to not properly answer, she would feel excruciating pain from the shock waves once again. The dark guild master was resorting to whatever source she could to force the girl to talk, she would get what she wanted no matter how much this girl defied her.

Blood Raine hummed a laugh,"Do you really wanna see what I'm packing that badly? You could just ask,"he sneered,"We may be similar, a little too similar for my liking, but you clearly know nothing of my methods. We have very different taste in victim, you and I. The only exception to not touching up innocent girls would be Octavia. Do you know why that is? I'll tell you. A little thing called AB negative. Rarest blood type in the world and you wouldn't believe how euphoric the smell is let alone the taste,"he felt chills run through his body. He'd never had anything so good before and he wouldn't easily forget it. His eyes narrowed at the dark ecriture mage,"Let's go with not liking the idea of some little s**t like you being the first person to scar me,"he growled, furious with the idea. All these years, not one scar was resultant of anyone but himself and now this guy was about to leave him with a lifetime reminder of his capture. Great. Blood Raine hissed at the pain of Ciarans hand on his burned shoulders"Are you deaf or something? Got those potatoes growing in your eardrums? I will get her MYSELF,"he shouted in the dark wizard's ear,"Get it that time?"
Raine could see the absolute glee on Ciaran's face. He, the ace of Sabertooth, the heartless monster with no desire to feel, was crying. He couldn't have been more ashamed of himself. He exhaled shakily,"What happened with Octavia was a mistake. I shouldn't have laid my hands on her in the first place"he muttered,"Her forgiveness blind-sided me but that's not love, it's gratitude,"he replied, still convinced his words were true,"The lack of common sense lies solely with her. I don't feel like I've lost mine when I'm near her. I just feel anger at her stupidity,"he snapped, remembering the last interaction he'd had with the celestial wizard, when he almost beheaded her because she jumped in his way during their fight with the flaming man. There was a nervous feeling in Raine's gut when the dark wizard produced a small packet with a single yellow pill inside it. There was no way he'd take that. Whatever it was, it wouldn't be good. He clenched his teeth shut as Ciaran gripped his face but his plan to keep his mouth shut failed when he felt a fist slam into one of the fresh burns on his hip. In the drugs went as he cried out in pain and he found his mouth sealed shut. At the angle his head was at, he had a choice; swallow the pill or choke. It looked like he'd be finding out exactly what he'd been given very soon. Once it was down, the runes seems to release from his mouth and neck. And now to wait...
"Hi Raine,"a sweet feminine voice spoke out from the shadows. It wasn't the brat, but he recognised it."Oh ********> he whispered as the figure of the last person he wanted to see slowly emerged from behind Ciaran. This couldn't be real."Aren't you pleased to see me?"Octavia asked, tilting her head to the side and pouting, letting her fringe fall over her face. It looked and sounded just like her. She sighed and looked down with a disapproving expression at what she was wearing,"White lace? Really? Kind of tacky, don't you think? But if that's what you're into I guess I don't have a choice. Not that you'd ever give me one. You never give anyone a choice really, do you?"she asked rhetorically, her facial expression dropping all emotion as she walked towards him, her bare feet patting the ground as she moved. This wasn't real. Whatever the potato had forced down his throat was causing this. Raine shut his eyes tightly, wishing his hallucination away,"Go away,"he said quietly. He felt the presence of someone standing close to him,"I thought you wanted to see me,"she said, placing her hand on his chest and looking him up and down,"God, you look awful. You actually let them do this to you? You're the big, scary ace of Sabertooth but you're letting a few dark wizards beat you down, that's so unlike you. Kind of pathetic really,"she smirked. Standing on tip toes to get closer to his face, she whispered in his ear,"Are you going to give up?"she questioned. Raine grit his teeth,"Never,"he said. Octavia giggled, running her fingers through his slightly singed, sweat-drenched hair,"Good boy. Now, tell me. Do you really like me? This weirdo keeps saying you do, so go ahead. Do you have a crush on me? Do you want me?"her small hand rested on his sore, scorched neck and Raine couldn't help but lean against the imaginary touch."Aww, how sweet. You think I'm here to comfort you? No such luck. I'm just here to ask questions,"she said, suddenly gripping the area that was freshly branded with a star, he cried out in pain. This was all in his head so why did the pain feel so real?"You're not her, I know you're not. She'd never talk like that,"he stated, referring to the way in which this imaginary version of the celestial wizard spoke to him. The suggestive tone in her voice was nothing like Octavia. The hallucination laughed"Of course I'm not her, you moron. If I was, I'd be dead, wouldn't I? You'd be tearing me apart on the floor."Raine tried to move away from her, yanking slightly on his chains,"Shut your mouth!"he yelled. The fake Octavia was overjoyed at his reaction, her radiant smile could almost pass for the genuine thing were it not for such an unreal situation. However, her face soon dropped and her eyes darted from side to side,"He's here,"she uttered, scuttling behind Raine and pressing herself against the burns on his back, causing him to whimper. The green liquid was still in full effect."The hell are you talking about?"he asked, trying to pull away."Blood Raine,"she uttered her reply, peering out from behind him and gasping as a second figure appeared from the corner of the room. Raine was looking at none other than himself. Or more accurately, the other version of himself. The psychotic being that ruled his fear and tortured his mind into doing unspeakable things."It's funny,"he began, eyes falling on Octavia,"Even in a hallucination you can't run from me,"he smirked. His long strides covered the distance within a few steps, grabbing the celestial wizard's arm. He pulled her towards him and spun her round so they both faced the captive Raine. Blood Raine leaned in and spoke softly in her ear,"Hello, Dove. Miss me?"Octavia visibly shuddered as he placed his hands on her small shoulders,"Raine, help me,"she said, her voice filled with fear."Don't touch her,"Raine demanded, willing his mind to stop."You're in no position to be barking orders. Best keep quiet,"Blood Raine grinned. Moving his hand, he ran his calloused fingers across her collar bone,"You don't think she likes this?"His index finger came to rest on her neck, feeling her pulse. Octavia had her eyes shut, tears starting to fall down her cheeks. It was horrifically familiar. The same look he'd seen in her bathroom. Her breath hitched in a bid to prevent a sob,"Raine, please, help,"she breathed but Blood Raine hushed her in the what you would comforting an upset child,"Shh, Dove, it will all be over soon. Cross my heart,"The other Raine said soothingly into her ear as he moved his hand to encase her fragile neck."Stop! Don't do it!"Raine begged, his heartbeat racing with fear and panic. But there was nothing he could do as the ends of Blood Raine's fingers turned into points, mimicking his Blood Claw spell and ripped across Octavia's throat. She choked for breath as crimson life fluid run down her chest, soaking the white lace and dying it red."No...,"he uttered before shouting,"NO!"If any normal person could see Raine's face, they would see a man who'd just broken. Someone who'd witnessed their worse nightmare happen right in front of them. Even the sight of it happening in a hallucination was enough for him to throw up more blood for there was nothing else to expel. No more alcohol. Just blood from the strain the poison had taken on his stomach. Tears ran down his face as he purposely yelled out to quiet the laughter the vision of Blood Raine was emitting. The force of his hatred broke a few of the binding runes as he slumped in his restraints. Light-headed and blurry."I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry,"he whispered over and over. He wanted to die but he knew there was so much more to come.
OOC: I thought by causing him to pass out, you guys could make a bit more progress with Kaya and Shaw can come and drain some magic and give some juicy gossip if she has any.

The dark guild master was persistent. No matter what Kaya said or did, the woman kept pushing for more answers. “You’re the stupid one here,” she glared back. It all came back to her past. If she knew what Kimura wanted to know, or even why she wanted to know it, then she could better gauge if she should tell. Not that there was much to say anyway. An oppressive air filtered into her cell. The temperature increased by the second. Guess she’s losing her patience. Her lips twitched with a smirk. A sense of victory welled in her chest. Despite the torment, despite the heat, Kaya hadn’t broken and given the girl what she wanted. Kimura had been the one to lose her composure first, which the Water Dragon Slayer counted as a win in this battle of wills. Albeit at a price. Her skin tingled and prickled from the dry heat encompassing her cell. Her throat parched in mere seconds. Not good. She knew the moisture in her body was still low from Aadava’s previous heat wave. Without an outside water source, her cells were forced to replenish the liquid on their own. A process which took a lot of time. Kimura’s heat could push the Slayer into the dangerous realm of heat stroke if she wasn’t careful. Not like she’d care about that, Kaya remarked to herself sarcastically, suppressing the urge to roll her eyes. As uncomfortable as the heat was, however, she forgot about it the second the girl mentioned harming her guildmates. Eyes narrowed into thin slits. No way. There’s no way she knows that much about them. She’s gotta be bluffing… But, what if she wasn’t? If the Fire Dragon Slayer knew how to get to her guildmates, if she captured them, Kaya didn’t even want to think what the crazed woman might do to hurt them. She already murdered three of her guildmates. What would keep her from doing the same to the others? Come on, Kaya. Don’t let her get in your head! She’s just tryin’ to psyche you out so you’ll do what she says. And it was a somewhat effective ploy. Kaya grew quiet. The prospect of her friends being hurt because of her stubbornness just didn’t sit well.
There wasn’t much time to reflect. Between the heat, the intense shocks, and the skewers, Kaya’s body was slowly pushed towards its limits. Her consciousness wavered at times, though she managed to remain mostly cognizant. Enough to notice Raine’s screams become more frantic and panicked. His demand for some unseen individual to go away turned into pleas for them to stop whatever it was they were doing. "What—" She tried to see what was happening, but her eyes were hardly focused. "What…did he do…to him?" The question was more to herself than anyone else. Despite their issues, her heart ached for Ace of Sabertooth. His grief rang loud in her ears. Her gaze didn’t linger on the opposite cell long. Kimura commanded her attention. Bleary eyes drifted to meet the fiery stare of the other. “I’m not…lying,” she frowned. It was the truth. She wasn’t keeping secrets…about this anyway. How many times…do I gotta…tell ‘er? Kaya grew frustrated with the constant questions that she either didn’t have answers to or wanted to give answers to. As luck would have it, however, Kimura opened herself up for an attack when she leaned closer. The teenager took the opportunity to strike out. Unfortunately, the girl predicted her assault and prepared for it. A blinding pain erupted through her skull. Kimura landed a solid fire-enhanced kick to her temple, sending her reeling. A fresh scorch mark marred the skin where her foot connected. The green serum performed its duty well as it further heightened her agony from the burning blow. Argh! She bit down on her tongue to keep from crying out. Her vision doubled and blurred. There was no relief to be had. Before the Dragon Slayer could recover, Kimura jammed her foot in her face, driving her head backwards into an uncomfortable position. “Keep…dreaming,” Kaya struggled to speak. The effort to do so drained her energy. Breaths coming in labored gasps, “Tch…I’ve got nothing…to say to you.” She looked away and lowered her head once the Fire Dragon Slayer released it. Raven locks fell over her face, covering her grimace. Like hell she was going to let the dark mage intimidate her with these scare tactics.
Dr. Shaw made her way down the seemingly infinite staircase to the underground cells. She'd left her computers processing the blood samples from Kaya whilst she'd aided the medic and changed her blood-splattered clothes. She'd calmed down from her furious rant at the team who sent down the poor man with the cut on his hand, "I swear, I'm surrounded by incompetent idiots," she grumbled, playing with the plastic folder her results were in. What she'd discovered was more than what her wildest dreams could have come up with. She hummed a laugh to herself, filled with glee. This was sure to put a fantastic twist on things. As she reached the last set of stairs, a ear-splitting roar reverberated through the stairwell. "What on earth was that?" she questioned before smirking, "Oh Ciaran, you didn't wait for me," she smiled. It was obvious he'd utilised some of the more painful torture devices she'd provided. Perhaps the brander? The skewers? The excitement was too much and she hurried down the last few steps, "Did I miss the party?" she asked aloud. Her heels tapped against the stone floor as she approached the two dragons. Peering into Raine's cell she quirked an eyebrow, "Wow!" she exclaimed, "What did you do to him? He's completely out of it, that's amazing! And is he... he's crying?!" she laughed, "Jeez, you broke him" she said, delighted that all her toys appeared to be being put to good use. She was only disappointed that she'd missed it. Standing quietly aside, she watched Kimura for a moment. She seemed to be thoroughly enjoying electrocuting the water dragon slayer who, though clearly in pain, was still answering back with snarky comments and wishful threats. "She's a tough cookie, isn't she?" Shaw said, impressed that the slayer had lasted so long. Remembering why she'd ventured back down in the first place, the doctor promptly cleared her throat, "Well, it took me and my computer a while but I ran her sample against everything I could think of and I believe I struck gold, she began, waving the file in her hand, "I managed to find some relations. All the way in the United Kingdom, can you believe it? They made a great journey, no wonder it took us so long. We have the NHS to thank for those records, I got my hacker to break into the files. Funnily enough, though unimportant, they actually have links to the Smith family. As in, Alyssa Smith - the Guardian Knight of Fairy Tail. Small world, huh? Anyway, that's not the most interesting part. Even though I found descendants of the family of the 'original' Kaya, not one of them was directly a descendant of her as an individual so I looked into it deeper," she flicked to the last page of her file, "How does one explain a match for someone's DNA when the person they match with has no direct lineage? I found out," she said, handing the open page to Ciaran for him to see for himself what would be an unbelievable occurrence were it not plainly printed on crisp white paper with all the genetic markers aligned perfectly. "The only issue I'm actually having is explaining how it's possible. There's a story there but you're going to have to dig it out. May I suggest changing the questions you ask and see if that triggers her memories so you can get the answers you also want?" she said, offering the option of poking around to find how it was that this Kaya came to be here in the first place. Not in the way of asking her how she made it into an underground cell but how exactly she even existed right now. The two dark wizards would understand once they saw the file. Waiting for Ciaran to pass the information to Kimura, she tapped his shoulder, "I found something else that I think you personally will be more than thrilled about. Since you were considering running off to grab that celestial wizard, I did a little digging on her just out of curiosity. Are you sure he likes her? He treats her atrociously. Either way, I honestly think it go so far as to shock you," she grinned, handing the dark ecriture wizard a small piece of paper.
Blood Raine had made up his mind to deny Ciaran’s offers. Unfortunate. “Is it now?” Ciaran stepped in front of the redhead, folding his arms across his chest. His yellow orbs glistened cheerfully from the challenge inherent in the other male’s words. “Then perhaps I shall take on your conquest instead. I do so love a good slaughter from time to time. Your little Celestial Spirit mage won’t know what hit her. Yes,” he bobbed his head. The more he imagined the encounter, the more enticed he became by it. “Once I am finished here for the day, I think I shall pay her a visit. Maybe I’ll use some of the drug Master Kimura utilized on you. Or not. I do so wish to hear her scream.” His uncertainty was for show. A means to rile the Sabertooth mage. Ciaran knew what his actions would be. He had been planning them since their first foray into discussing Blood Raine’s feelings for the brunette. “Let’s be honest, even if I weren’t to drug her, she would be of no match for me. My magic affords me a level of secrecy that most don’t possess. I will find her, and I will capture her. And that, my dear Raine, is where the fun will truly begin. What do you think?” He swung one leg wide, hopping to a point in the center of the cell. “Shall I dump her body here? Have those large, fear-ridden, tear-streaked emerald green eyes staring at you, silently begging to help her? Of course, you won’t be able to. You’ll be helpless to stop me, helpless to save her, as I torment her in the same way as I intend to the fairy. Her poor, innocent blood will stain the cells when all is said and done. Her lifeless body stretched out before you.” The Dark Écriture mage waved his hand to indicate Raine. His voice lowered to a whisper, “And it could all be avoided should you only have accepted my generous offer. Unfortunately, the time for acceptance has come and gone. Octavia Kane will perish by my hands. This is my promise to you, Blood Raine. I intend to leave much more than physical scars,” he winked. A coy smile rested upon his lips.
Ciaran listened aptly to the Ace’s rationalizations. He certainly is in denial, he chuckled giddily. The image of a tearful Raine combined with this insight was simply…euphoric, to borrow Blood Raine’s terminology. “My god, you’re an imbecile when it comes to these things,” he unleashed a bark of laughter, shaking his head in mild disbelief. “Love is complicated, Blood Raine. Do you honestly expect it to be something you feel outside of any other emotion? No, you fool. It is BECAUSE you love her that you feel the others. But, since I am unable to convince you otherwise…” He wiggled the packet in his hand for emphasis. “You’ll simply have to observe for yourself.” It took little effort to force the hallucinogenic down the redhead’s throat. Between the position of his neck, the pain from his burns, and the runes sealing his mouth shut, the tiger was afforded no other choice but to swallow them. The fruits of the dark mage’s labor did not take long to flourish. Less than two minutes passed before the prisoner whispered a single sentence. It has begun! Ciaran could hardly stand the tension as he waited for the show to get thoroughly underway. Raine did not disappoint either. His murmurings echoed through the relative silence of the cell, reaching Ciaran’s ears. Demands to “go away,” affirmations such as “never,” drifted on the stale air. “It seems your little Octavia has come to visit you, Raine,” he cooed quietly, not wishing to disturb the hallucination in all of its glory. “What shall you do to her, hm? Could you fairly deny her and push her away?” His eyes narrowed in a scrupulous manner. “Or will another appear to claim what’s his and destroy you in turn?” As if heeding his words, the tiger called out to another of the unseen entities plaguing his mind. “Ahhh, it would seem the monster has made his appearance.” The scene which unfolded before the white-haired male in that moment was unlike any other he had previously witnessed. The Ace of Sabertooth strained against his bindings. His shrill voice begged for mercy from his tainted half, only for them to be disregarded. Raine’s tortured screams of heart-rending agony soared to the farthest reaches of the underground facility. So distraught was he that he managed to break a few of the runes holding him. A rare feat indeed. If but I could see what he has just witnessed! Ciaran savored the abject terror written upon the man’s features. Reveled in his tears and laments.
“To think,” he stepped closer and leaned in to whisper in his ear, “That you could’ve stopped it. You should be ashamed. Worry not, though. There is far more to come.” Raine was on the verge of passing out, if not past the point of it. “Hmm,” Ciaran straightened to his full height once more. Tapping his chin, he pondered, “What to do. What to do. To leave him be for a time or to wake him? What to do…” His yellow gaze flicked to where his Master toyed with Kaya. The girl remained headstrong in her refusal to answer their questions. While he did not wish to step on Kimura’s toes, so to speak, he may be able to provide more incentive for the child to respond appropriately. But is it wise to let Raine have peace while I deal with her? A dilemma to be certain. Fortunately, Doctor Shaw happened along at the most opportune of moments. “I had a bit of fun is all,” he waved a dismissive hand, though the smile lighting his face spoke to far more. “As much as I would love to take credit, I’m had but a small hand in his current state. His mind did most of my work for me. Those hallucinogenic tablets you’ve created are wondrous…as are the serum, skewers, and brander.” His compliment came with a slight bow of gratitude before he exited the tiger’s cell. Her toys of torment had worked above par thus far. He hoped to find further creative uses for them as their sessions progressed as well. “But I dare say you haven’t returned to collect my praises…” Curiosity arose within him. The doctor had left in a huff from Raine’s antics. A far cry from her current attitude. She must’ve discovered something quite thrilling to bring about such a change. She did not keep them in suspense for long. His brows quirked upward as the woman described her efforts to track the elusive Tsukino lineage, finding luck at last amidst the denizens of the United Kingdom. However, it was not until he viewed the information on the sheet of paper handed to him that his excitement intensified. “Well, well, well,” he studied the DNA results before glancing up at the Water Dragon Slayer, “Those are some rather interesting results indeed. Thank you, Doctor.” Dipping his head in thanks, he grinned, “We’ll see what she has to say. She’s been quite stubborn, so I may have to resort to my…unique method.” Which, truth be told, he hoped would be the case.
As he started to move towards Kimura to share the news, he felt a faint tapping on his shoulder. He stared down at the petite woman, confusion in his yellow eyes as he wondered what else she might have to say. Peering at her skeptically, he glanced down at the piece of paper before taking it. His eyes danced over the letters and sentences. His grin broadened into a devilish sneer. “Oh, this is glorious! Never in my wildest dreams would I have surmised this. I can’t wait to utilize this bit of information. It’ll bring certain disruption to them. I thank you again!” He beamed at the scientist, sealing his thanks by a flourished bow. “By the by,” Ciaran made a motion at Raine. “Given his current state, now might be the best time to drain his magic. I still have my restraint spell active should he awaken during the process, but I suspect he is out of it until I awaken him in due course. Of course, it is up to you. If you’d rather observe our session with Kaya, then you are more than welcome to do so.” His offer extended, the young man strode to where Kimura stood in front of the persistent fairy. He spared a moment to study the girl. She did not appear to be any older than fifteen years of age. How is it possible? Under any other circumstances, Ciaran would be hard pressed to believe results such as those held in his hand. Yet he knew that Shaw would not provide false information. “Master Kimura,” the Dark Écriture mage interjected. “I think you will wish to see this. An interesting development has arisen,” he added, holding out the paper to her. His keen gaze regarded Kaya. “You’re just a little enigma, aren’t you? No past to speak of before six years ago. Family relations sprinkled throughout an entirely different part of the world than to be expected. But THIS,” Ciaran thumped the corner of the paper, “This takes the cake. Tell me…what does it feel like living in a different century than which you were born in? Did it come as a bit of a shock or did you gradually accustom yourself to it?” There were many questions running through his mind. So many inquiries demanding attention. Despite this, Ciaran understood that he must be patient and bide his time. His first queries, although important in their own rights, were merely tools to weigh the brat’s truthfulness. A subtle twitch of a facial muscle or the briefest of hesitation in response could provide insight to whether she remembered her past. Should she remember it yet be lying to them, then it would be far worse on her than if she truly did not recollect those missing years. Although, it never hurt to give extra encouragement… “Come on now,” he shifted closer to the fairy, reaching up to flick the skewer imbedded in her right bicep, “Don’t keep us in suspense. Enquiring minds wish to know!” He sang out in his Irish lilt while a dark smirk curled the edges of his mouth.

☂The more insults Kaya through, the hotter the temperatures rose with her flames, Kimura vowed to herself to destroy this girl in every way possible, she was never going to see the light of day ever again if the guild leader could determine her fate. The girl chose to ignore her threats and would not tell her a thing, what was this brat hiding? For something so easy to tell, why should her past matter if it were told, unless there was something she was trying to hide. What piece of her childhood was so important that she had to hide it? Raising one eyebrow towards the water dragon slayers reaction as she overheard the screaming on the other side, a slight smirk would crawl upon her lips pleasantly. "Why do you even care what he did? It doesn't effect you, in fact you are not even from the same guild, why would you bother caring what happens to another guild? You two seemed to be at each others throats before, you can't tell me you actually care what happens to him after that." Kimura would laugh at Kaya and her concern for the blood mage, despite everything said and done between the two. Her smile would not last long, as Kaya continued to lie and answer she wasn't lying, a lie within a lie, how bothersome. She may not realize this, but the harder she defies, everything surrounding her is going to become so much worst. The girl had no idea what storm was soon to arrive. Even as Kaya attempted a swing to hit, she blocked and struck back, causing her to swing backwards in turn as the fire slayer laughed at her pain stricken temple. "You are so pathetic." She would say with a smirk, watching the girl struggle to continue the conversation, her defiance still standing strong despite all of her pain. What a fool the girl was, she could have had this so much easier, had she not been so defiant and told her what she knew, told all of them. Instead, she chose extreme pain over a small price of a little truth about her past. The girl was refusing to speak up, a foolish decision on her part.
Kimura would pick up on Doctor Shaw's presence, descending the stairs and enjoying to watch the two light mages under extreme pain. She'd overheard her tough cookie comment, though most of her attention was turned angrily towards Kaya and her unwilling to comply with the dark mages, she didn't seem to understand her position and where she stood. The moment Kim picked up on Ciaran moving closer towards the open cell, she'd diminish the heat emanating the cell, all of the hot now clear as if it never existed. Her attention would focus on her sweet bun, as he handed her a piece of paper which she accepted as she reached out to take it. Reading over the well informative paper as Ciaran spoke to the water slayer, she could feel her blood boiling in anticipation, even slight anger. This was proof..what this was saying this Kaya had been alive for well over a hundred years, there was a high possibility this was the same Kaya in her younger years that ruined most of her childhood. She wrecked everything, if it weren't for her, she wouldn't have lost her dad, and things wouldn't have ended off as badly as they had. Growling angrily, Kimura would grab a tight grip onto a piece of Kaya's clothing, a small fire burning on the tip of her fist and ripping the cloth of her shirt, exposing some underneath. She would see a small scar underneath, part of it but it was defiantly there, that was the same one! She remembered, a flashback called out from her mind, and if there was any marking of the scar on this girl, she knew full well it was this one! "Kaya Tsukino, you're the little brat of that old man which I despise so much. How long did you really think you could hide? You knew didn't you, you knew of this secret, you really think I wouldn't have found out?" Kimura would ask with clenched fangs, clutching her neck tightly as a small flame erupted, though it did nothing more than burn. Her yellow orbs would drift to Ciarans, glancing towards Shaw as well. "Thank you both, nice job for your excellent work in finding this information, Shaw! I can't believe this brat has been alive for so many years.." She would say, though it wasn't that unbelievable, she just figured the same couldn't be said about others. She went through the same process, maybe not the exact same, but she knew was just as old secretly. Though Kim did not care for those who knew, she had nothing to hide. She would back off the water slayer, growing tired from her tirade of hiding these secrets even through the pain of herself and possibly others. She'd switch the electricity back on once again, glaring at her. "The cats out of the bag, you can't deny it or hide it anymore. And because you refused to speak up, if I come across your little feline friend, he's not going to survive my encounter. If you had just told the truth from the start, this could of been avoided. I will make sure you regret your decision." Kim would smirk soon after at the girl, enjoying her struggling in pain against the shocks of electricity hitting her body. She would allow Ciaran or Shaw to do whatever they pleased with her, should they desire it. OOC: Hope post is okay!
Raine’s horrified screams continued to reverberate in her ears even though he’d long grown quiet. The dark mages savored his agony like some sort of rare delicacy to feast on. Kimura herself smiled darkly at Kaya over her question about the redhead. “Hmph,” she grunted, sneering back. “You wouldn’t understand even if I explained it to you.” Why shouldn’t she care about him? Just because they’d been arguing earlier didn’t mean she hated him or wanted to see him harmed. But she dared not say as much to the dark mages. They were likely to take that sort of information and use it against her. Inflict more injuries onto Raine to break her down. Not gonna happen. Instead, she’d continue to dodge the girl’s questions by replying with snarky comments. A task which became increasingly difficult. Her concentration started to slip from the ever-increasing heat and depletion of water in her system. Her vision faded in and out as she slipped closer towards unconsciousness. Kaya’s body recoiled from the abuse it received at Kimura’s hands...and feet in this case. “Funny,” the Dragon Slayer mumbled, peering through hooded eyes. “…Was gonna say…same…” The guild master had to resort to underhanded methods in order to capture her and Raine in the first place. And now she was trying to torture information out of them. In Kaya’s mind, that made her and her guild members the pathetic ones. They wouldn’t stand a…chance in a fair fight, she surmised. Or even…a dirty one. She held no doubts the dark guild would fall to the light guilds when the time came. It would come too, when they least expected it. Kimura thought her plan flawless, but Kaya knew better, as did Raine. Their guilds would come for them. It was simply a matter of time.
The return of Doctor Shaw drew the teenager’s attention. She held a folder in her hand, appearing quite pleased with whatever was contained inside. Kaya strained to hear everything she said to Ciaran and Kimura, though she only managed to pick up snatches of the conversation. Two things stood out to her, however. The first had to do with her family somehow having a connection to Alyssa’s. How or for what reason, she hadn’t caught. Yet it was the second that was more immediately pressing. Drain…his magic? Kaya didn’t like the sounds of that one bit. How could someone drain another’s magic? What use could they have for it? Lifting her head slightly, she searched for any buttons or equipment screaming out “drain machine.” Her ice blue orbs at last spotted some odd looking lacrima crystals situated nearby. Are they gonna…use those? Lacrima crystals were versatile, being used for many things throughout the world. But draining magic? She doubted the process, if possible, would be pleasant. The Water Dragon Slayer had little time to worry for Raine’s predicament. After finishing his conversation with Shaw, Ciaran strolled over to her cell, passing a slip of paper to Kimura before coming to stand in front of her. A low growl rumbled in the back of her throat. Brows knit together in confusion once he started to explain and ask questions. What the hell…? Her growling turned into a yelp of agony as he purposefully jarred one of the skewers. Pain once again pulsed through her. Although, it was nothing compared to what was to come. The information found on the paper sparked something within the Fire Dragon Slayer. She pounced without warning, grasping onto part of Kaya’s clothing. “H-hey!” Kaya protested a bit late. The fire singed away a decent-sized swath in the lower-left half of her shirt, revealing a small portion of the crescent shaped scar on her side.
This revelation sent the dark guild master into an angry tirade. Kaya gasped for air as her fingers clamped down on her neck. “Argh!” She screamed when fire lit the fingertips, burning her already sensitive and reddened flesh. “Wh-what are...y-you talkin’ about?!” She choked out. What old man was Kimura referring to? What did Ciaran mean about being born in a different century? None of what they were saying made any sense! She didn’t know her human dad. Watatsumi was the only father she ever remembered. As for when she was born, she couldn’t be born in a different century. She was fifteen, which meant she had to be born in 2002. At least, that was the consensus of the doctors at the hospital John had taken her to. “I’m not…hiding…I…don’t know…anything…” It was the first truthful statement she made since the questioning began. “Ugh,” Kaya gasped once Kimura finally released her hold. Breathing heavily, the teenager blinked to clear her vision before adding, “There-there’s no way. I’m…fifteen. I couldn’t’ve been born in...a different century. That…doesn’t make sense! I may have amnesia…but I think I’d…remember something like that. Might want to check your…computer again. Sounds like it’s not working too go—Aaaaaah!” Her sentence devolved into shrieks of pure suffering. Powerful jolts of electricity zapped her. The air surrounding her hummed, yellow sparks flitting and dancing about the iron skewers. Tears welled in her eyes. Through her screams, she could just make out the threat laid down by the guild master. No! She wanted to shout back at the woman to leave Yuki alone, but her mouth refused to cooperate, along with the rest of her body. Every nerve ending, every muscle and pore, every fiber of her being cried out for relief from the torment.
Dr. Shaw smiled, "My little pills caused that? Even I didn't expect them to work quite that well. Then again, it's not like he's lacking in trauma that can haunt him. He may take credit for it but would you believe most of those scars weren't the work of his own hands? I was digging a little more on him and the facility he came from turned out to be a bit more than just mindless experimentation on the limits of mentally unsound children. Had he not escaped when he was twelve, you might have actually had him on your side. You're looking at the semi-completed super soldier of the secret Russian military project. Like a ******** up Captain America but used for destruction instead of protection. Kimura could have literally bought him from the Russians had they succeeded in keeping him under control," she said, a both amused and disbelieving tone in her voice, "That would have been fun. Such a shame that he became this. A lesser form. A weak version of what would have been a human weapon," she sighed, imagining the possibilities. He could have been her little side project for studying. Shaw giggled with a girlish glee at Ci's reaction to the small piece of paper she handed him, "I know, right? Who'd have thunk it?" she said. Her bored research had brought to light several very interesting facts. By far the connection between Ciaran and a certain member of Sabertooth was the most devious and would be extremely useful, she was sure. However, the more immediate problem was getting the desired information out of the water dragon slayer.
She was always pleased that she was invited to stay for such things as the questioning and torture of captives. Not many other people outside of the guild were allowed to witness these events. She clicked her fingers in remembrance when the magic draining was mentioned to her. The bag she'd brought down earlier contained a box of another of her own creations. By far the most dangerous. "Ah! Of course! This would be a good opportunity. I'm afraid in his current state I won't be able to take much but I plan on using one of the young boys your men brought in. His magic is volatile so I don't imagine it would be a great idea to flood a child's system with it," she said, grasping one of the shining white lacrimas, "A warning to both of you, do not touch these. If you want to admire them, do so from a distance or wear extremely thick gloves. They WILL drain your magic too if you're not careful. There's no deactivation on these, they're altered dragon lacrima. Very strong stuff. Unfortunately everything that was mined in Utah turned out to be blank. No elements to it and everything we tried drained out of it. So I put that drainage to good use, she smirked, waving the crystal so that it sparkled in the light, beautiful but dangerous. Opening the door to the blood mage's cell, the doctor warily made her way over to him. She carefully moved his hair and of his face to check he was still out cold. She withdrew her hand upon seeing his eyelashes fluttering but he was clearly not truly conscious, "Some super soldier you are, Mr Valentine. Or should I say..." she leaned in, whispering a name she believed to have been Raine's true identity. She chuckled before delicately placing the lacrima on the back of the Sabertooth Ace's neck. If he wasn't awake before, he certainly was now. He jolted as Dr Shaw pressed the crystal down and released a strangled cry as his magic started to be pulled from the very fires of his body. Though Shaw got a kick out of being able to deal out her own pain, a part of her was nervous about being so close to the blood mage while he was conscious. "Gosh, if you keep screaming like that, we won't be able to hear Kaya's answers," she scolded. The draining lacrima glowed a brilliant crimson, as though being filled with blood, "Even his magic aura looks creepy," she noted to herself. Holding it for a few more seconds, as long as she believed he could handle and as long as her ears could suffer his agony, she removed the crystal from the back of his neck and placed it into an air-tight box. "TADAH!" she sang, putting the box aside, "Sorry, got excited. I'm going to stick around for a little while. I brought two crystals down so I'll watch for a little while. If she's still stubborn I'll head upstairs and have a play with what I got from Raine, but otherwise, I'll take some magic from her," she said, twirling her dark hair between her fingers.
OOC: Fox, I hope what I put in was alright for Raine
Ciaran’s brows raised. His interest piqued by Shaw’s discovery of Raine’s past. “Well now, that is a shame. To think that someone of his caliber could be so much more. I almost shudder to think what a complete soldier of that program might look like. Blood Raine’s work is pretty gruesome as it currently stands.” If only the Russians were able to complete their projects. The amount of damage that could have been done would be immense. Raine could very well have been an unstoppable asset for them, or to whomever the highest bidder might be. A weapon of mass destruction. An army of one, as the saying goes. Yet the Blood mage managed to escape and ruin his perfectly planned out and befitting career. Ciaran felt disappointment in the redhead for his lack of foresight. Never mind that he was but a child. He could have gone on to do great things. Terrible things, yes, but great, especially if he were to join Dragon’s Bane. Hmm, he pondered, I wonder if we could yet turn him to our cause? His yellow orbs glimpsed the wistful expression on the doctor’s face. “Perhaps we can bring out that potential yet. It may take some doing though.” He held a strong belief they could achieve the result set forth by the Russians. It would take time, careful planning, and precautions, but he felt confident Raine’s darker half could be corrupted in due course should he be given the right incentive.
The small slip of paper Shaw passed to him served to solidify his beliefs. He could use the Celestial Spirit mage to push the Ace further over the edge. There would be no one to truly care for him or ground him any longer. Add to that the sheer knowledge that he was related to the girl, albeit distantly, sent shivers of excitement coursing through him. “I couldn’t have imagined a greater personal discovery. This will drive that girl mad when I reveal it to her,” he beamed. Oh, the fun he would soon have once he obtained Octavia. “I do apologize about that,” Ciaran smirked, nodding towards the unconscious mage. “He was being stubborn in his delusions. It’s likely we’ll have to have a few more sessions before he truly understands, but those can wait if necessary. We don’t want to pass up the opportunity to drain as much magic as possible from him. Of course,” he sighed, “I fear there may not be many capable of withstanding his particular brand of magic. It’ll take someone special. In light of that, I wholeheartedly agree with your approach. Perhaps Kaya’s magic will be best suited for one of the younger ones while his is kept to the older subjects for now.” There was no need in wasting valuable test subjects recklessly. While true they could find more to replace those lost, it seemed frivolous and time consuming to do so. Efficiency was key in achieving Kimura’s goal.
Waving a hand, the Dark Écriture mage dismissed her concern for them. “Don’t worry,” he assured her with a grunt. “Neither of us intend to. I have every intention of leaving the draining of their magic in your talented hands. Although, I do admit the lacrimas are rather stunning. An alluring danger to those of us with magic indeed.” With Shaw moving to Raine’s cell, Ciaran entered into Kaya’s, handing the DNA results to Kimura as he did. Despite clearly being in pain, the fairy provided them little else to go on. Her defiance, while somewhat admirable, grew tiresome. She obviously doesn’t understand the balance of power at play here, he noted. It’s only a matter of time before… His thoughts were interrupted by Kimura. Rage dominated her features, hatred lacing her words as she lunged for the Water Dragon Slayer. …That happens. Ciaran was not privy to all his Master’s secrets, though this one he knew well. Kimura and the original Kaya- this Kaya, as happenstance had it- encountered one another during their childhood. Their pasts were interconnected on many levels, for various reasons. It did not surprise him in the least, the loathing the Fire Dragon Slayer had for the Water Dragon Slayer. Ironically, they were as their elements. Yet still, the fairy continued to deny the connection. Surely, she must remember someone as powerful as Acushla. He could not fathom anyone easily forgetting the guild master.
He became weary of her games. He was starting to consider his next approach when the girl spoke again. Her words gave the impression of being the first truthful ones she had said since their sessions began. Amnesia is it? Ciaran mused, brows knitting in concentration. If that’s the case, then I think it’s time to employ that technique. Kimura would have her fun first. The shock collar set to high, she allowed the strongest of non-lethal currents to flow through the Slayer without hesitation. While he waited for the shocks to cease, the white-haired male shifted his attention to the scientist and her charge. Ahhh, he tilted his head back and closed his eyes. Sheer rapture lit upon his features as the two light mages’ screams merged into a symphony of delight. A wondrous sound. Hearing Shaw’s approach, Ciaran opened his eyes, leveling his gaze upon her. “I’m glad you’ll be staying.” A devious grin tugged at the corners of his mouth. “I’ll certainly make it worthwhile. There is a special technique of mine that I don’t get to utilize often. Little Kaya here makes for the perfect opportunity. I believe she’ll be less resistant afterwards. Then we can have you drain her magic. Once that’s done, I imagine we’ll need to end the session for the time being. We don’t want to push too far so soon.” Cocking his head to the side, he asked, “How is that special concoction coming along? As much as it pains me to do, we’ll need to give them refreshment to combat our sessions, if we wish them to last.” Ciaran did not like the obligation of it, for it gave false implications of niceties, but such was the downside to requiring living test subjects.
Noting the electrical shocks were at their end, the Dark Écriture mage winked at Shaw. “What say we have a little show, eh?” Stepping closer, he reached out to take the fairy’s chin between his thumb and forefinger. He lifted her head until she could look into his gleaming pale yellow eyes. “Tsk, tsk, so much pain over something as simple as your past. It’s unfortunate that you’re being far less than cooperative with us. However, I’ve come to understand that you’ve got amnesia. A tricky ailment, to be certain. In lieu of this revelation, allow me to help retrieve those memories.” It was not a request but rather a statement of intent. With a dark sneer, Ciaran reached down to where her crescent moon-shaped scar was exposed, placing his hand fully over the area. “Dark Écriture: Memory,” he recited. Red glowing runes appeared at the point where his palm touched her skin, soon spreading outward until they encompassed her entire body and invaded her mind. The pain would be instantaneous as her long-forgotten memories were pulled to the fore and projected for all to see.

☂While it may be true Kimura would not understand why Kaya would bother caring for Raine, she really did not care to even hear her explanation as to why that was either. She glared a bit at the water dragon slayer after sending the insult she gave her right on back, this brat was so lucky she wasn't able to be killed, not yet at least. However, the other side caught much of her attention as she witnessed Raine fall unconscious from the amount of pressure, and her assistance draining his magic so that he would have not an ounce of fuel to fight back with. That just wouldn't do at all if he had some juice. Kimura eventually lost interest, especially when the test results came back and it was stating she was alive many years ago, her assumptions of her were proving to be true. To make sure that it really was, she'd grab part of Kaya's clothing and burn it, the scar being clearly visible. Oh, the desire to murder her dawned even more on her. There was no chance in hell she would ever allow this girl to escape or be rescued, she was going to rot in this cell to her final days, and she'd make certain sure that is how her life was going to go from here on out. The fire dragon slayer would take note of what her assistant had, a dragon lacrima. She knew damn well to never touch one of those bad boys, and that was a clear lesson learned from her own childhood. The day she touched one, and it pretty much nearly killed her. Quite a fascinating piece of work those crystals are!
Kimura's focus turned around back towards Kaya as she seemed to have zero idea what they were talking about. She questioned it, there's no way this girl could of forgotten everything she caused, the death in Kimura's family line. She was the reason her father passed, and she was going to make her pay dearly, with her own life rotting the days away in a dark, damp cell with no where to escape. "Stop messing around. You're aware of everything that has happened, you know what you've done, but you won't be getting away with it. Not by a long shot. You're going to suffer for the rest of the days, you're not going to get out of it by faking and acting like you forgot, trying to look innocent." The guild leader would growl in turn towards Kaya, this brat had wrecked enough of her life and pretended like she had no idea, now it was her turn to ruin this brats life. She was going to be marked by her, property of her own until this girl's final dying breath. After thinking that, an idea formulated in her head and she figured she may as well relay it for the others. "Now that I think about it..we need a way to prove Kaya is our property. The same could be true for Raine, in a way should Shaw wish to do so, feel free. Ciaran, would it be possible to mark Kaya with our own guild mark? That way, it's proof she's always going to be owned by us." She would say with a smirk, wondering if her little Ci bun could agree with that thought that randomly popped up in her head. Looking over towards Doctor Shaw a couple times truly intrigued, she had done quite a lot of damage to Raine, both mentally and physically. It was truly exciting just hearing what was happening down in the other side.
Kimura would watch with a truly sadistic smile as Ciaran prepared to use his magic against Kaya, forcing her memories to come through for everyone to see and even enjoy the torment that would pain the fairy as it played through. There was so much to be seen already, however just seeing the tiny Kaya, the one who had done so much, she would growl angrily in silent the more she watched, that brat deserved that kind of torture and so much more, the day was still young and there was just so much to get done still. But for now, she'd watch Kaya's little secretive story play out, and make sure she didn't miss one thing. Raine could feel himself continue to shiver ever so slightly. The hallucination seemed to have been the final straw that broke the camels back. All he could feel was a whirlwind of negative thoughts. Hatred of himself and the dark ecriture mage. Fear of his 'other side'. Worry for Octavia and the others. He'd been here less than a day and he was already falling apart. He hadn't expected these dark wizards to be as armed as they were. It was almost like before; caged and tortured. But he wouldn't let this be the end of him. The voice of the woman doctor drifted to his ears. Her tone was light and cheerful and he could hear the utter joy in her words over what the blood mage currently looked like. What a sicko. Then again, could he really judge any of them when it so similarly resembled the way he was when his other side took over? The joyous laughter at someone else's pain. It wasn't foreign to him. What made him feel worse was Kaya's claim to worry for his welfare. Kimura was right. Why should she care? She knew what an awful person he was, he likely deserved all that was coming to him. Combined with the praise and delight, Raine could hear the doctor conversing with Ciaran. She spoke of the blood mage's past, his time in the lab in Russia. A super soldier? What was she talking about? There wasn't a super soldier program in the facility, just meaningless experiments for pure random curiosity. Wasn't it? A few vague memories floated back. Voices telling him to focus, slicing at his skin with small, sharp blades. He remembered killing. He remembered learning to fight. It all started to fall into place. Of course. It was all too much to be a random experimentation lab. Is that what they were doing all along? Turning him into a brainless machine, a weapon to be owned. How did the doctor find those records? He'd searched countless times and hadn't been able to find a trace of the intentions behind any of it. Even when he'd spied his own file before escaping the lab, there was never any indication of their intentions. He heard the door of his cell open once again and the tap of the doctors heels on the concrete floor moved towards him and he felt her presence beside his body. She spoke to him, mocked him. If only he wasn't out of action in this way. She wouldn't laugh so freely if he weren't beaten, burned and bound, no, she'd be strung up by her own entrails. When she leaned in and whispered in his ear, for a moment his eyes widened. She knew. The b***h knew his real name,"You... how...,"he tried to utter but his sentence was halted by the most unimaginable pain that exploded at the back of his head and he released a strangled cry. The veins in his neck and forehead pulsed visibly as he screamed. It was like the very life was being sucked out of him. His fists clenched tightly and tears streamed down his face, blurring his vision further. It seemed like and eternity before whatever the doctor had put on him was removed. This time for sure, he blacked out, still hearing the murmur of voices.

For how long the electricity coursed through her body, she couldn’t say. Time seemed to drag on forever as the agony continued. Then, finally, mercifully, it ended. The world pulsed around her. Her ears throbbed in time to the beat of her heart. So loud was the roar of the blood in her ears that she couldn’t make out the muttered conversation between the dark mages. A few words registered in her addled brain, but none of them made sense. Wh-what are--? The Water Dragon Slayer tried to understand. It felt important. Like she needed to know so she was able to prepare herself for whatever they had in store. Kimura’s sadistic grin signaled warnings within, yet she didn’t know why. Internal alarms blared louder when Ciaran agreed to whatever the guild master requested before approaching. Kaya never had a chance to fully register the words Ciaran murmured as he leaned in to touch her largest scar. Red glowing runes spread across her body, bringing with them an intense pain that felt like her flesh was being seared. "Gah!" She thrashed against her chains as the runes snaked their way into the dimmest recesses of her mind. The teenager closed her eyes to the agony, trying her best to suppress the screams at the back of her throat. As she did so, memories would start to be dragged to the forefront. Things that had long since been forgotten were now crystal clear in her mind’s eye. The entrance to her quaint village, her home where she had lived with her family, the happiness and warmth that was held- all of it came flooding back to her in an endless stream of visuals.
But there was darkness that came as well. The night that she was taken from her home played across her memory. Shouts of those being slaughtered outside of her home, screams from her mother and brother, the call of her name by her father, and her return plea for his help as she was snatched up and held captive by evil looking men. Her father tried valiantly to rescue her but he was overcome by the sheer number of soldiers. The two were bound with shackles and taken away. Another memory took the place of the previous. Now she was in a dingy room with her father hovering over her, concern in his eyes. The area outside of the cell appeared to be an old-fashioned laboratory. The leader of the raiders, with his golden-eyed daughter alongside, was explaining how she had been taught her place as a test subject. A bright surge of energy hovered over his hand when he spoke, highlighting the bloodied wound carved in the very spot that presently carried her scar. Another shift showed various memories throughout the year of her captivity until it settled on one in particular. Kaya and her father were being forced to endure a brutal experiment when an opportunity arose. Her dad grasped at it, allowing them to escape the horror. More memories poured over the walls of the cell. Some showed their time on the run from the scientists while others revolved around their life on the island with Watatsumi and Yue. Onward the memories pressed, at last arriving at the fated day. Kimura and her dad had found them. A brief battle ensued but the scientists and their soldiers came out victorious. Once again, father and daughter were bound and slated for experimentation. Except that her dad wouldn’t stand for it. He broke free of his bindings and used his magic to create a portal through which he sent the nine-year-old. Her final memory of that day was of the alarm being raised and her father fighting with Kimura’s. Kaya blacked out from the resulting disturbance in the terrain portal, only to awaken in a modern-day hospital bed with John watching over her.
Time seemed to stand still and speed up all at once while the memories bubbled forth. Had Kaya been capable of opening her eyes then, she would realize that they were not being played out in her mind alone, but that they were to be seen by all those in the room. Her screams of pain echoing throughout the cell doing little to distract from the imagery. It wasn’t until the memory of the hospital that the pain started to fade. The runes on her body dwindling until there was no evidence of them left. Ciaran’s spell had ended. Her vision swam. Darkness crept in from the edges, pulling her closer towards oblivion. Yelling ceased as she slumped semi-conscious in her restraints. Kaya’s breaths were haggard and coarse from the ordeal. The truth of her past no longer secured in obscurity.
Shaw nodded, "I know, it is a terrible shame. If the files are correct then in his completed form he likely wouldn't have reacted to a single thing with those hallucinogens and wouldn't have uttered more than a pained growl at being drained, if that. And those binds of yours wouldn't stand much of a chance either," she said, equally as disappointed as Ciaran that the finished product was never achieved, "Hmm, I think it would take an awful lot to remove the vague morals he has. If he were still a young teenager it would be easy for me to put something in place to wipe him completely and give you a clean slate but fully matured I'm not sure I could guarantee he wouldn't relapse and regain memories. That and he's a stubborn b*****d as well," she huffed, sending an annoyed glare at the unconscious blood mage, "Feel free to give it a go but I reckon even if you turned him into the soldier he was destined to be, one look at that girl of his and he'd revert for sure. If he really does have feelings for her, she more than anyone could control him so you'd have to bring her over to our side as well and that is a hundred percent impossible." Shaw had to admit that she was less than impressed that even her extensive abilities couldn't forge a new and improved version of Blood Raine but then again, she lacked magic so perhaps there was something in that which could be used. The doctor's smirk soon returned after placing the now filled lacrima in the safe box, "Don't worry, I won't waste anyone. I'll be extra careful," she reassured. Shaw couldn't hide the utter admiration she felt for the wonderful work that Ciaran's spell did. The result was better than she could have ever imagined. What a surprise that the dark ecriture mage had the ability to draw out someone's deepest and darkest memories, even ones that had been locked away for over two centuries, "Oh wow..." she uttered, "Incredible. I never realised you could do that," she said, "I can't wait to hear what she has to say. I mean, she's a living piece of history preserved perfectly and fully functioning after that long in stasis," The doctor had an almost dreamy tone in her voice. This had brought forth a sudden desire for her own brand of magic. She was jealous, it seemed. If she could find a way... no, that wasn't important right now. What was important was getting Raine's magic to the lab and documenting Kaya's reaction to her rediscovered memories. She held her laptop camera steady and waited patiently.
There was something to be said of the Russians. Their interest in the human physique and mind was among the most demented. Ciaran felt a sense of kinship there due to their desire to learn. If only they had succeeded in their goals, he bemoaned the loss of the ultimate weapon. Of course, he knew scientists well enough to know they would not cease in their studies. Should the slightest of information remain about the experiments, rest assured others would step in to take up the mantle of research. The real tragedy was as Shaw stated. Blood Raine had too many years of reconditioning by the light mages. His blood lust, although present, became more refined and controllable. His violent tendencies suppressed, even altered, enough to function as one of their number. Then there was the matter of the Celestial Spirit mage and her influence upon him. “I have plans for Octavia Kane,” his pale-yellow orbs glinted devilishly. “She is certainly the key to his resolve. While what you say is true, there is always another way of severing those bonds. A little nudge in the proper direction may be all that’s needed. The first step of many to finishing what the Russians begun.” They needed only to proceed with caution. Tossing too many variables and stimuli at the Blood mage in rapid succession would simply backfire on them in the end. However, should they take things in stride, implement and enforce their desires in stages, then their chances of success grew exponentially.
Be that as it may, Ciaran could not allow himself to become lost in future plans. There were items of equal interest and importance occurring before him at this very moment. Sparing a brief glance to the now unconscious tiger, the Dark Écriture mage nodded his head in acknowledgement of the doctor’s concession to be careful then shifted his gaze to his master and lover. His Acushla never ceased to amaze him. Her natural beauty belied her brutal nature. “Mm,” a cheshire-like grin spread across his features. “A wonderful idea! I have just the tool, so graciously provided by Doctor Shaw, and I believe it has just what you desire. In fact, I was planning to utilize the electric brander on her in due time. Once we have gotten those pesky memories of hers brought to light.” Oh, the strife the teenager would soon face! If a man such as Blood Raine howled in agony, then her cries of suffering would be stirring indeed. He could hardly wait! But first, the white-haired male spoke with Shaw a moment more before sidling over to Kaya. There was no preamble to what he held in mind, arm snaking out to press his palm against her scar. Crimson runes engulfed her. Her yells of torment filled the space. Yet it was the images shimmering along the walls and floor which caught his focus. Wondrous scenes of an era passed undulated all around them.
A glimpse of the village before its ruin was the first to be seen. It was a beautiful and serene place to be certain. Stark in contrast to what would soon befall it. Memories of her family, her mother and older brother to be exact, would be next in the line to reveal themselves. Their smiling faces reminding the man of his own happy times. It was almost a feeling of déjà vu. That same warmth and happiness had been known to him as well. Then, as if on cue, the darkness had overtaken the light. The Water Dragon Slayer’s cries of anguish punctuated the background as the imagery flowed with the tragedy enveloping the village. Chaos reigned that night. Ciaran could hear the horrified screams of the men, women, and children, hear the vain attempts to flee from their fates. Meanwhile, the small child that was Kaya had been attempting to reach her parents’ when the soldiers entered her home, capturing her and binding her despite her best efforts to break away. Her father’s form entered the frame briefly before the scene would shift yet again. The lead scientist, whom he surmised to be Kimura’s father, was speaking to Kaya and her father about having taught her a lesson in humility it seemed. His punishment to her the cause for the scar Ciaran had touched. Other memories followed. And then came the final moment. The missing information that he was most curious about. The last of her memories of that day shown vivid and clear. A terrain effect portal? Such a spell was rarely practiced because of its inherent instability. With the caster being killed, the technique could react in any number of ways.
It’s no wonder she has amnesia, Ciaran contemplated the desperate father’s actions. She’s lucky that's all she lost. Another memory began to display itself, but it was of little interest to him. The Dark Écriture mage dispelled his technique with a flick of his hand, allowing the teenager’s pain to end. “Yours is a most intriguing past,” Ciaran mused. “To be tied to so much darkness and to still see so much light…” He let the rest trail away as he turned from her to face Shaw. Bowing slightly at the waist, he cheerfully accepted her praise, “I thank you. It’s another of my unique spells. One I designed for moments like this. I’m flattered you approve of it. As for our little Water Dragon here, it may take her a moment to fully process everything. There’s quite a bit of stimuli to deal with. To be frank, I’m surprised she didn’t pass out entirely from it all. She’s far more resilient than we gave her credit for. Even so,” he rocked on his heels and shrugged. Ciaran recognized the girl to be fast approaching her limits. With more items still left to discuss, there was no question they would need another of the items secreted in the black satchel. The young man spotted the bag in question sitting where he abandoned it on the floor of Raine’s cell. A few purposeful strides took him from one area to the other where he promptly retrieved his “toybox” and the brander nearby before returning to stand between Kimura and Shaw. “Doctor, would you prefer to take her magic now or after Master Kimura and I are finished?” He asked as he set the bag on the rolling metal tray. Reaching into its depths, he rifled around until he found the distinctive brand shapes he had in mind as well as the vial of blue liquid, setting all on the tray for ease of access.

☂All of the plans seemed to be working effectively, and so far there were no issues being concerned, aside from the idiot who sent down the doctors to heal Blood Raine..while having a cut on there body. Sometimes, it baffled her how careless and stupid some of her employers were, too many idiots existed in this world. What was worst than that, was the weaklings crawling everywhere thinking they were big shots. Kimura had plans to destroy every single weak link out there, and with her successions so far, she doubted it would fail. Especially with the help of Doctor Shaw's smarts, and her sweet lover Ciaran, who never held a moment where he wouldn't please her. She had her other guild members as well, the sun of Ra, and Poesidon would surely get the job done as well. This new beautiful world was soon to take place, and she couldn't wait to set the plan into action. But first, they would have a little work to do before any of that could take place.
Kimura would turn towards Ciaran with her question to utilize a brander onto the slayer, proving she would forever be there's. After all, Kaya was hers from the very beginning, and she wanted everyone to know this. She would never be allowed to be called anyone else's. She was merely going to finish what her father started, it's what he would have wanted. "Glad to hear you're on board, my love. From now on, the girl will be ours for the taking." She would say with a devilish grin swiping across her face, and her fist clenching with joy, as she turned once Ciaran's memories process on the water slayer had began, watching and taking in all the scenery that lit upon her face, quite enjoying her show of agony while her life was playing out for all to bare witness. The life of child Kaya, it pissed her off seeing her roaming happily, just seeing that small girl smiling, the same girl she despised so much!! Soon enough, the scenery took a swift change for the worst, and everything turned out to be much more darker this time around, Kaya's scared and saddened face in the clips truly she enjoyed far too much. Her smirk had made it's victorious return, hearing the screams of the girls family was like music to her ears, that's what she gets for getting in the way. She didn't need to see much else once the laboratory appeared, she already remembered that, she was there after all. Although, what really caught her attention, was Kaya making a daring escape through a portal, in which her father created while a battle stretched across the lands. Was that how she got here today?? "That slippery little rat..." Kimura would speak lowly but with clear anger in her tone, her father had tried everything to catch that water brat, but in the end she had managed to make her escape through time.
Soon enough, the memories of Kaya faded after the hospital had popped up, the water slayer looked like she was half conscious, possibly slipped under for a bit too. She was partially awake, which was surprising considering the amount of pain she had already went through. This girl sure could take quite the beating, but how fun would it be if she was unconscious the whole time? Kaya's entire family deserved to be dead, they were nothing more than weaklings who shouldn't be allowed to live. The propositions of Kaya would soon continue, until it would be Shaw's turn to shine among the light.
