Fort reached out and grabbed Shadowman by the ankle of the foot that he had just used to strike the guard. He sent Shadowman into the kitchen against the ceiling again, next to the light. Almost simultaneously he teleported himself up to the chandelier that was in the main room and swung his sword through where it attached to the ceiling. With those girls screaming we've already made more than enough noise, Shadowman's going to need to be able to use his powers when the rest of the gang shows up to see what's going on.

Daniel found himself on the ceiling again, I'm going to have to get used to this aren't I. As he started to fall, he reached out and grabbed the two bulbs, snapping them off as he twisted so he could land on his feet behind the two men as the moved to leave the kitchen area. The main area of the apartment when dark, though there was still light coming from the room the girls disappeared into, slamming the doors shut behind them. In an instant shadows wrapped around him and two leash like shapes spanned the distance between the two men and Shadowman, they were connected to their necks.
With a swift pull, that neither man had expected they let out a gurgled yell and fell backwards onto the floor where they proceeded to be held firm. Shadowman walked up to them and gave each man a hard kick to their face and they fell unconscious. "Well, that went better than expected."

"I find that happens when you cheat. Which I think we did a little." Fort said. "So, I can't imagine there were showgirls for guards. Shall we invite ourselves in and see who's home?" He gestured to the door that the scantily clad women had run into.

"Of course." Shadowman made his way to the door, turning it and as he started to throw it open a huge hulking form of a man barreled through the door into Daniel, grabbing him and crashing into the corner where the stereo was and wish a crash, the music abruptly stopped.
The big man stood leaving the dark from of Shadowman crumpled in the debris. Ow...what the hell was that. He had managed to shift the shadows around him into a more protective coating, but the impact had been staggering and he laid their dazed. He turned to face Fort, his head only a couple inches below the ceiling with arms bigger than some people and a barrel of a chest. His head was squared and even as he stood there in boxer shorts his muscles rippled like they were alive. "You interrupted my evening. Now I break you." His voice was like boulders grating together as he started to shift his bulk toward Fort, and charged him.

Damn, that guy is big... Fort waited till the last second before teleporting directly behind the massive man. His sword was in hand as he reappeared and he stood in a low crouch. As soon as he appeared he swung the sword at the big man's ankle, this time using the edged side of the weapon, hoping to hamstring him.

The big man let out what might have been a growl as his quarry disappeared and he felt the bite of the blade behind his foot. Blood spurted and he went down turning it into a roll and twisted putting his back against the wall near where they had come in. "Special little one aren't you, I will make sure to pull your limbs from your body and hang them for the city to see." He reached back, putting his hand against the wound and he growled again. For a second he shut his eyes and when he opened them there seemed a fire in them as they shifted to a fiery red that seemed to glow in the darkness. You could see his muscles ripple and bulge. "No more talk." The man stood up like the ankle didn't even bother him and started to move toward Fort.
Shadowman shook his head again as he started moving, meaning to get up, but he couldn't quite get his feet to stay where he wanted them so he could stand. "This is why I don't like trains..."

Rick turned his attention from the woman he had been speaking to, who was kind enough to remove the gag from his mouth, and to the commotion from the other rooms. "Well it seems we have company." he said before looking at his own predicament. He was currently tied to a chair and stripped to his undergarments due to his captors fleecing him of all of his belongings. They had left him alone in the room wondering what to do with him and decided to play cards when they couldn't think of anything useful.
This was rather humiliating on his part. Here he was trying to help a woman who he thought needed medical help for someone and instead ended up being taken as a hostage. At least they were good enough not to injure or torture him. Somehow he had convinced them otherwise.
The woman who had come in was one of those who were fleeing from the action from outside. "Thank you luv." he said after he was able to speak once more. "What's going on out there?" he asked. After explaining the situation frowned slightly and began trying to free himself. "Well we certainly don't want to be in the middle of that, do we?" Unsuccessful with his bindings, he looked at the woman once more. "Would you mind?" he asked nudging his head toward his hands. Strangely she felt compelled to help him and undid his bindings. Rick breathed a sigh of relief as he massaged his hands. "Well, that's better."
He found his clothing in a heap in the corner and began to dress. "Have to be decent around a lady don't I?" he asked as she only grinned. clearly she didn't mind. "you know, you don't have to stay in such a dangerous place. It's safer in the city." Based on their conversation earlier, her voice indicated that she didn't not want to stay in such a place any longer, but didn't have much choice. Just as he finished buttoning his shirt, the door was forced open startling the woman and running behind Rick. At the door was a shattered chair which had been thrown with great force to have busted the lock.
Stepping outside, one of the goons notice him and the woman. He took his attention away from the large man and his opponents and had that, 'oh hell no' look on his face. The man stood a good foot taller than Rick and looked down at him. "Where do you think you're going punk? Did I say you could leave?" he asked. He then looked at the woman. "Did you let him out wretch?" he demanded. He raised his hand to give her a good hit. The girl flinched and closed her eyes but the strike never came. Rick instead stood between her and the assailant. "Oh so you want some of this?" he asked turning his hand to a fist.
Rick lowered his gaze and muttered something. "Huh?" Rick repeated his words but were still inaudible. "You got sumthin to say? Say it! Before I knock your teeth so you can't say nothin no more." Rick only grinned. "I said....MOVE!" he shouted as the man was blasted backward. Both the man and the woman looked at Rick with utter surprise.
Getting up, he pulled out a knife. "Oh hell naw." uttered. "You want a piece of me? C'mon!" Rick stepped forward into the main room where he, his opponent, the large man and two other unknown individuals were. The goon began bouncing back and forth, swaying his body trying to show off his moves. Rick merely stood there with his cane to his side. Letting out a sigh, "Anytime you're ready." he said.
((sorry, bit of an intro to get us all in one place.))

Fort stayed where he was when he saw a large man come blasting out of the shattered doorway. He was surprised to see a man in what he could only describe as gentleman's clothing step out after the large thug. There were no more other goons about and he wasn't entirely sure who was who here in this little confrontation. Though he was inclined to side with the gentleman if forced to choose. For now, though, he simply watched.

"Who is this guy now?" Shadowman finally got his feet under him and looked at the dancing goon, shaking his head. A Thor like hammer formed in his hand and he whipped it at the goon, hitting him on the side of his head like a brick. "Hey, don't suppose you'd mind giving a hand with the big guy would you?"
The big man stopped next to the table and grinned as he grabbed it with two hands and whipped it like a frisbee at Fort.
At the same time as this the door leading into the apartment opened and seven guys clamored into the fray raising a shotgun, an Uzi, and several pistols.

Rick grinned as he watched the goon began moving toward him. Rick's antic provoked him enough to lunge. Just as he was about to attack, he was struck from the side by a black hammer like object which dissolved into thin air just as quickly as it had appeared. He watched the man strike the dry wall causing it to crack and then fall to the ground. It all happened so fast. "Or not." he said seeing that the man was not ready at all.
He looked up at the voice that addressed him and shrugged. "I could. As long as the young lady remains safe. Sure." he agreed. Their conversation was cut short when the large man threw the table at Fort and was later joined in by several others. 4 joined the large man and raised their weapons at Fort and Shadowman while three began approaching Rick.
"Tsk, tsk tsk." he said waving his index finger. "Honestly raising such things in front of a lady. Don't you have any manners." They began readying their weapons. Rick breathed a sigh. "I suggest you put your pieces away before they go off and you embarrass yourselves." he laughed as he raised his hand and pointed his finger at them like a gun. "Bang!" he said as he grinned.
"I'm gonnna kill that mutha...." one of the goons said but was cut off as his head was struck by an invisible force knocking him back. He fell to the ground motionless as his body twitched.
"What the hell just happened?" the second asked.
"How the hell should I know?" the third retorted. "Just shoot the b*st*rd." he shouted. The two began firing their guns forcing Rick and the woman back into the room. He looked around the corner and ducked back inside as they fired again forcing him to withdraw.
"A troublesome bunch. Wait here. I'll be back for you." he said with a wink. as he began moving deeper into the room. He began to examine the walls and closed his eyes as he began to hum a tune similar to a polka. As he hummed he clicked audible notes and after several notes the wall in front of him began to crumble. The woman watched as he disappeared into the man sized hole he had just made. The last thing she could hear was Rick whistling and humming to himself as the sound faded and was overlapped by the commotion outside.

Fort saw the giant Frisbee of doom coming his way and vanished at the speed of thought. He appeared behind the huge man that had thrown the table with his hand against the man's back. Almost the instant he appeared he sent the big man directly to the spot where he had been standing before he teleported. He also sent the man so that he appeared slightly off the ground, and slightly at an angle to the ground. So that the man fell forward just enough to line his head up with his own projectile as it closed in on him. It was then that Fort also noticed the mass of thugs that flooded into the room, all of them armed. He prepared himself, but decided to wait and see if Shadowman wanted to show off a bit.

There was an audible snap when the table hit the big man's head, it snapping back like a Pez dispenser as his body followed suit and landed on his back motionless, the table shattering as bits of it embedded itself into the wall.
Shadowman looked at the four gunmen as they raised their weapons to shoot, so he did the first thing he thought of as he cupped his hands, focusing on what he was doing. The thugs disappeared in darkness and the guns fired, but it was muffled, distant. The thugs unloaded, but no bullets left the darkness surrounding them and when their guns clicked empty, silence followed, the darkness disappeared, and bullets fell to the floor like metal rain.
"Holy sh**..."
Shadowman took a heavy breath as if he'd been holding it for a while and wobbled a little bit, dizzy for a second.

Well, now. I didn't really think that that would take so much out of him. Guess it's my turn now. Fort vanished and reappeared amidst the goons that had been inside the darkness. He appeared with both of his swords in hand and set to swinging them about, cracking goons upside their heads, slicing along ankles and forearms. He even sent a pair of them up into the air above a third so all three would crash to the ground in a heap. When he finished he took a step and teleported as his foot came down so that he reappeared beside Shadowman again. "You alright?" Fort asked. "That seemed a little excessive. Couldn't you have done something a bit more focused? Or does that take just as much effort as a larger, blunter, shadow?"
