((Okay, time skip to the next morning then... anyone wants to go ahead and post they can feel free to. If not, I'll just go ahead and edit this by tonight to include a Diamond post... oh, and if anyone wants, post your students in a classroom so Deena can get her entrance?))

The next morning, after breakfast but just before the first classes of the day, Eli Raymond Anthonys was in his classroom setting up. He was going to have something new for today's alchemy lesson. He wanted to introduce some Eastern techniques which would be a stark contrast to his usual Western alchemy. If he were to be honest, he still wasn't the best at actually performing Eastern alchemy, but he could explain it and its theories quite well.

Deena walked through the doors of the classroom briskly, watching them fly open as she walked towards them, and hearing them slam shut behind her. Slightly show-offy, not usually her style, but she thought it would be interesting to get the attention of her students the moment she walked in. And, unlike some people, she preferred not to use sexuality to keep her students attention. Which is why she dressed the way she did, hiding her body as best she could.

She had spent the night before in the forest, and had come to school today with the idea that her office and room would be ready. She found that the former was true, but the later was not. She had taken a quick shower and gotten dressed, walking down to the class she would be teaching first. She had decided on an Alchemy course for the beginning... mostly because that was the only class on the roster could be considered 'advanced magic' in her opinion. She pushed back her glasses with her middle finger before writing a long equation on one half of the bored with nothing but her finger, magic flowing through her fingers and creating the marks, and covering the second half with a number of runes.

She spun around, slamming a heavy book on the table, the cover of which was written in some ancient language. Roughly translated, it meant 'Nature of Alchemy'. "I am your new headmistress, Deena Eiyle. Call me Professor or Headmistress Eiyle. Do not call me by my first name." She gave the room a piercing glare that seemed to beg them to contradict what she said. "Welcome to Advanced Physics and Magical Theory. Most of you are probably not up to the level I would expect from students in this class, so I'm going to cover some advanced alchemy that you would see fairly often in this class."

She had looked over some notes, and knew how far the alchemy students had gotten. She knew that the runes were probably vaguely familiar to the ones that had actually read their books, but the equation would probably stump all but the brightest of them. "On this half of the board," she said, gesturing to the half with the runes, "You will see several advanced alchemic runes. If you've read into the later chapters of your alchemy books, they might look slightly familiar. These are known as the nature circles."

She waited a moment for what she'd said to sink in before she would continue. "If any of you have any questions at any point, simply raise your hand and I shall answer you. Any questions asked without a hand will be ignored." She had taught at all five of the major magic schools if today's little class was included. "Using them, the ancient druids of the past, the ones without major powers themselves at any rate, believed that these runes would give them the power to control the natural world around them. While many of them were incorrect, the symbols behind me are the most accurate."

She waited again before turning around and facing the board once more. "Can any of you tell me why nature alchemy is one of the most dangerous forms of the art?" she asked. Nature alchemy was the mystic science of controlling nature itself. Without a natural ability to do so, which was quite dangerous. You were attempting to control mother nature against her will. And if she sensed even the slightest sign of weakness, she would strike back and quickly kill, or at least injure, the one attempting to take advantage of her power.

((It seems that class has started, and Deena is the teacher. This is only the sixth page, so I wouldn't worry too much about what exactly is going on. I'm sure once you hop in and things get going, everything will make sense.))

In the back of the class sat Vio. A deep scowl marred her features as she idly listened to the voluptuous instructer. Compared to her classmates Vio felt exposed, too different. Back home, everyone were nearly identical. Uniqueness spelled invasion; invaders were eliminated. Despite her guardian's assurance, Vio felt miserable and edgy.

Every so often, sparks of electricity zipped across her wings. The seat she sat on cramped them so she sat side ways. The advantage of sitting in the back avoided angry classmates. So far only three others occupied the back seats, a desk between her and them.

Inner reflections were put on hold as the teacher asked why nature alchemy was dangerous. Automatically Vio rose her hand and stated, "Nature does not take kindly to control. Give an opening, and nature will tear you apart." Since the day she was birthed, her kind were taught to never take what you could not give back to the Mother Earth. Being of children the earth themselves, they were not to be controlled by any other than their mother.

Trickles of homesickness swirled in her gut at the reminder. Even with Mother Nature all around, she missed the Hive Queen, her mother terribly.

((hope this is ok))

Nene Yuley glared at the floor of the school she would spend her days for what seemed like eternity. She cursed Hera's name for the hundreth time, then took the pencil in her hand and crushed it until it was no more than dust. She felt like she needed to screw someone over right now. She needed to make someone cry.

She snickered quietly to herself as she listened to the ramblings of the headmistress to her so called 'class'. Oh, how she loved to mess with a person's head. What she wouldn't give to make some weak human cry at the moment...or maybe even commit suicide. Humans were weak, so very weak. Both physically and emotionally. They crumbled under pressure so easily...it was so delicious for her.

She flicked her eyes up to the Deena woman when she asked about Alchemy. Nene knew the answer, but before she could speak, another female answered for her. No matter, she had studied Alchemy for a while now. It was sort of interesting, but she liked altering another's thoughts more.

Nene watched with a stoic expression as some of her magenta hair fell onto the desk over her shoulders. She hated the color, and none of the earth's colors could get rid of it. The fallen wasn't even able to cut it off; everytime she tried, it would grow back to its original length by the end of the day. She loathed the color, and Hera had known that she would, she must have. The Goddess had cursed her when she had banished Nene, giving her the bright locks that were bound to her, reminding her of the place she used to live.

Damn that Hera, Nene cursed, once again.

((...I'd also like to take this chance to point out that in a separate classroom, Eli is also teaching. He is the main Alchemy teacher, after all.))

((Yes, I saw that after I posted. I changed it to she took over the class for a moment, she won't be teaching actual alchemy in the future, just the advanced physics/magics class))

Deena nodded in response to the correct answer to the asked question, to the girl in the back of the room. "That is correct. Mother Nature is a difficult element to control, and if one does not do so with caution, even the most skilled alchemist can suffer from severe backlash from it. If something like this happens, you will be lucky to end up missing a limb. It is not uncommon for those that attempt this form of alchemy, and fail, to become controlled by the very thing they are attempting to control." She wasn't foolish enough to mess with nature alchemy unless it was completely necessary.

"Very good..." she touched the side of her glasses, activating the scanner, which scanned the student. Her profile from the school's database came up on the screen and she nodded, "Ms. Lolin." Looking around the room, there was only one other student that wasn't staring at her dumbfounded or scribbling notes as fast as they possibly could. She doubted that any of it would be in their class final, as the school didn't have the budget to quiet manage all of the things they needed. Which was why she was starting a small class of students in a more advanced style that would be held in her office.

She scanned the other student that wasn't doing anything, getting her profile up on the glasses as well. She seemed like she was an average student. But she had a feeling that it was something else. She glanced down at the pocket that contained her Tarot cards for a moment, considering using the Justice card to force the truth out of all the students. However, she didn't think she would need to resort to something like that... for the moment.

"Ms. Yuley," she said, looking at the girl with magenta hair. "Can you tell me what the difference is between Elemental Manipulation and Nature Alchemy?" she asked. It was a difficult question, one that she doubted a lot of teachers could answer. Both were dangerous, and both could end with the wielder being incinerated. However, many races were born with an innate ability to bend the different elements to their whims, and this was nature's power granted to them. Nature Alchemy was forcibly trying to take this power and use it for own's purposes without her permission.

She glanced at the clock. She had barely been in the room for twenty minutes, but she'd almost already learned just about everything she needed to learn. After her question was answered, she'd know if the girl was appropriate for the group she would be starting. If she was, she would bring up Ms. Yuley and Ms. Lolin up to grant them an invitation to the advanced classes she would be starting.

Eli gave a little exhasperated smile at the fourth student in this class period alone to ask him what the difference between eastern and western alchemy was. He was beginning to tire of the question, but he was still grateful that she at least asked instead of pretending to know and failing the next quiz.

"Western and Eastern alchemies," he began once again, "are different because of their bases. Western alchemy's power is based in the caster and tends to focus more on getting from point A to point B than what happens in between. Eastern alchemy, on the other hand, takes its power from the objects around it and regards each part of the alchemy process as equally important." When she nodded her head in what he assumed to be understanding, he continued. "Now, who can tell me one other difference between the two?"

He looked around the classroom, and suddenly wished he was teaching his advanced students right now rather than his regulars.
