Shintero yawned a bit and leaned back in his chair. "Yeah I'm sure things will get crazy especially with the crowd we have in here..." He then decided to pull out one of his swords and started to polish it. If one where very knowledgeable in spell casting they would know this sword was no ordinary sword. Its almost as if heat radiated from the blade itself. After he was satisfied he just started to stare at the blade for a few seconds and flames suddenly burst out of the blade and consumed the entire blade. Several people near Shintero fell out of their chairs in surprise causing him to laugh a bit. After the flames where out he put the blade back in its sheath. He continued to do polish two more of the swords on his back these one where of course not normal like the first one but nothing special happened after he polished them. After that he was about to pull out his fourth sword for a bit of cleaning but suddenly decided that it might be a bad idea. If one where to concentrate they would feel a dark dangerous aura coming from the large sword. "So teach when are we gonna start learning stuff?"

At first, Lin had wished Dymetri had simply asked her what was wrong. Didn't he care what was making her upset? Well that's ridiculous. Of COURSE he cared. She just had to remember that he probably wasn't used to really... TALKING through problems. She would have to teach him.
Laaaater.... much later she could work on it with him. Right now, there was no possible way that she could even think clearly enough to talk with him, let alone pull herself away! What did he say about class? What class? Oh who honestly cared?!
But in the back of her mind, something was telling her to stop. It was going too fast. She wasn't ready for this at all. But Dymetri's lips and the feel of him so close against her was impeding on her ability to think normally.

Athena had been one of 'those' students; yes, the ones who made absurdly large hand gestures of victory when they were told that homework was pretty much no longer needed in their vocabulary for the class. Her tail was almost wagging she was so friggen happy with this guy.
"You, Alec, are my favorite teacher as of this moment!" she blurted, grinning with her canines showing. She was so happy to be able to refer to him by his name! ...A dark part of her said 'yeah, and school-appropriately too.' She slapped that part mentally, grin never wavering.

During this speech, all of the Rinaldi siblings had different reactions. There was Danni, grinning at the thought of little homework and grades based largely on tests. She did great on tests, always had. Homework had been getting turned in since Cook had adopted her, but still, it was nice to not have any. At the mention of having no prejudices, and having her name mentioned specifically, Danni frowned, raising a brow. "I haven't said anything, teach. Now my sister, on the other hand...Oh, these are my siblings, by the way. For jsut this one class, could you make an exception and replace 'respect each other' with 'tolerate and refrain from turning into a frog'? I'll be good, though, teach." She said, and shrugged at the disbelieving chuckles from several of the other students.
At this, Lia rolled her eyes, then smiled brilliantly at Alec. "Hello, Alec. I'm Lia Rinaldi, and this is my brother Ambrose. And Isadora, darling, you forgot, we're no longer considered siblings. You were disowned, after all, when you chose to live with the school cook in that little shack." Her eyes sharpened as she aimed her little darts of insult with perfect precision at Danni, then turned to smile again at Alec. "I think I must warn you, professor, that Isadora here has a dreadful temper. You really must make sure she keeps it in tact and doesn't make anyone start hopping around as frogs. She's taking those anger and power management classes, you know, but I must say, they're not helping. I just thought it was fair to let you know ahead of time. She said, then paused when Ambrose put his finger in front of her lips, silencing her.
"That's enough, Lia. He mentioned respect." Ambrsoe murmured, looking apologetically towards first Alec, and then his baby sister, who was silently fuming. No matter what Lia said, Danni had improved. He saw the way she grit her teeth, clenched her hands and narrowed her eyes. But not once did she look over, or say a word, or give any real reaction. "I'm sure we'll very much enjoy your class, Alec. You'll have no trouble from a Rinaldi." He vowed, and Lia smirked.
"No legal Rinaldi anyway. Can't speak for the tomboy." She murmured, and had Danni biting her tongue to keep from saying anything. The professor was Cook's friend, so she'd behave. But after class...Oh, after class sparks were going to fly.

Alec himself was feeling mixed emotions towards some of the more outspoken students in his class. Alec smiled teasingly at miss Athena as she made her statement. "Ha ha, thanks, though I'm sure you'll like me much less when exam time rolls around." Onyx made a joke face of sage wisdom and nodded solemnly at Alec's statement. Alec cocked an eyebrow at his little friend and simply smirked as he shook his head at his antics.
Towards the Rinaldis Alec was feeling very mixed emotions indeed. Alec sympathized with Danni, not only because he knew Cook but also because of the snide remarks her sister had shot towards her. Alec nodded his thanks towards the eldest Rinaldi for speaking out on his sister's defense. "Thank you, I'm sure I won't have to worry about any of you for the rest of the semester." But as he was saying this, Alec covertly moved his hand behind his back and was making a small message contained within a breath of air. As soon as he was done speaking, Alec fluently moved his hands together in a praying position and jokingly bowed slightly towards Ambrose to help emphasize the nod he gave him earlier. But as he moved his hands together, Alec silently and invisibly chucked the small breeze of air towards Lia Rinaldi. It traveled gracefully through the air until it covertly popped right next to her ear. The message Alec had placed in it went as thus: "Just so we're clear miss Rinaldi, you've already put two strikes in my book against you. One more snide comment like that to your younger sister, and I promise you that your mouth will be sitting on my desk with the rest of you sitting in your seat in shock and horror. If I've made myself perfectly clear, simply blink twice so we don't alert the rest of the class to this little discussion." While still mock-praying to Amrbose, Alec's eyes locked with Lia's and we're set in one of the most serious stares he had ever had to use in a loooooooong time. One thing he couldn't stand was people thinking they were better than others simply because of status.
And towards his last student, the one with the swords, Alec had a quick trick up his sleeve to make sure this student knew class time was meant for learning. Flashing a smile at Shintero, Alec stood up from his desk and casually pointed at the swords resting on his back. "We'll start learning stuff as soon as you put those over sized frog-stickers of yours away." And with that comment, Alec made a pulling motion with his hand towards Shintero's swords. At once all four of his swords leaped off his back and began to float towards Alec. But as they did so, a strange thing happened. As they got closer to Alec, they appeared to get smaller! By the time they reached Alec's hand they had shrunk to the size of key chain ornaments. Which was convenient because that was what Alec had in mind for these swords in the first place! With his spare hand, Alec quickly formed a small key chain ring and spare chains and made them attach themselves to Shintero's swords. Once they were safely attached, Alec began to casually toss them in the air and catch them repeatedly. Alec spoke towards Shintero in a light but serious tone. "As soon as you walk out the door your tools will return to normal. Until then, keep them as is and we won't have any more problems. This is spell time, not sword time." At this, Alec tossed the miniature swords towards Shintero in an underhand toss.
Once that was done, Alec dusted off his hands in a matter-of-fact way. Smiling, Alec began to walk back and forth across the front of the room slowly. Alec casually addressed the crowd as he continued with his speech. "Right! Now that we've got all the annoying things out of the way, let's get down to business! Now to help me get an idea of what I'll be dealing with this semester, and to help me remember your names, I've got a short ice breaker I want you all to do. Since you're in my class, I assume you all can cast magic or are able to do something magical. Now here's the drill, I want you to stand up, say your name, and state your magical specialty. I can tell you all right now that each and every one of you has a specialty of sorts. Even if your magic is basic and encompasses a lot of things, I can guarantee you that you are better at doing certain things over others. You're all individuals and you each have your own personalities and quirks that make you unique. Now I'm going to wait a few minutes so you all can think of an answer, then I'll start off. We'll start with the front row and work our way around the room, alright?"
Alec stopped in front of his desk and began to rock back and forth on the balls of his feet as he waited about 5 minutes so his students could get their thoughts together. Once the time was up, Alec clapped his hands together and began to speak in an enthusastic voice. "Right! Well, my name's Alec. And I would have to say my specialty is elemental control." Alec put a finger to his chin in thought as he looked up to the ceiling and pondered his statement. Alec covertly put his free hand behind his back, away from the class. Within moments, Alec's eyes popped open as if he remembered something. He spoke aloud and made sure to not directly look at the class. "Oh yeah, and street performing!" And with that, Alec pulled his spare hand out and held it out so the class could see. Within the palm of Alec's hand was a small ball of electricity, coursing and buzzing with bright intensity. Alec smirked as he began to bounce the ball in his hand, and then quite suddenly tossed it up and began to bounce it on his knees like a hackey sack! Each time the electric ball made contact with Alec, it crackled and gave off small sparks that dissipated as they reached the floor. Alec then began to bounce the ball with his feet, and eventually bounced it up to his elbow. With a single fluid motion Alec rolled the ball along his arms and behind his head like it was a basketball. As it reached his other elbow, Alec bounced it up to his head and began to bounce it there for a few more moments. Still sparking, Alec bounced the ball up one more time and landed it perfectly on his nose. While holding it there, Onyx got up from his perch and began to watch the ball carefully. As soon as Onyx was ready, Alec bounced the ball high into the air. When it reached it's climax, Onyx spat a concentrated fireball directly at the lightning ball, causing it to explode in a shower of firework-esque explosions. Alec smiled wide as the class applauded his small performance, and both he and Onyx took their bows. When he rose, Alec addressed the crowd in a light tone. "Professional tip, street performing is a great way to make money when your broke and in college." Alec laughed as quick memories of his days in the library and on the street returned to him. After his short euphoria, Alec turned his head back to the class and addressed them as a whole. "Right, your turn! You don't have to do anything flashy, but I won't dock you points if you do!" Alec pointed towards Danni who was sitting closest to him at the moment. "Right, you first miss Danni! Let's hear what you can do!"

During the usual morning commotion, a middle-aged man walked around the corridors of the school, examining the architecture, taking in the mood, and even glancing into a few of the classes taking place. He looked to be in his late forties, early fifties, perhaps. He wore black shoes, dark casual slacks, a pale blue long-sleeved shirt, and a dark vest and tie. His hair was grayed from aged, but still held hints of dark brown, and behind his glasses, his hazel eyes had a jovial twinkle to them. Of course, maybe it helped that he found the magic that surrounded him was absolutely fascinating. He was just an ordinary human, he had no magical abilities whatsoever. That was his wife's forte. His was business.
The man, his name was Nathan, continued to walk around until he found the door to the Headmaster's office. Perfect! Hopefully, the one he wanted to talk to would be in there. Without knocking on the heavy wood door, he walked inside. "Excuse me," he asked with a slight English accent. "Is Luna Wolfe in? It's rather urgent."

Four days.
Four days, and no one will care about Ialo. They would think that he just ran off, he's a grown man, he could defend himself. But what they didn't know was that Ialo was as much a fighter as she was a scientist.
OH NO!
She turned, her back to the door, and set her hands on his desk. No, no, no. She needed to find him, she's been looking everywhere. Her hair was loose, and she was wearing a white long sleeved, button-down shirt tucked into a gray, mid-thigh length skirt. She stopped wearing heels because of all the walking and crouching she'd been doing. So with black flats and a thin black belt, she flipped her hair back when she heard the click of the door opening.
Her first instinct was that it was Acaria, and she spun around quickly. But in her previous place was a man that looked very familiar. Scary familiar. He looked a bit like...
"Yes, I am Miss Wolfe. Is there something the matter?" Huh. Her voice was smaller than she remembered it being.

Danni just looked at him for a moment, still wondering why Lia had suddenly done a couple of obvious blinks in the professor's general direction a few seconds ago. However, she stood up, wondering how long she'd be able to tolerate this whole 'class participation' thing. Sighing, she stuffed her hands in her pockets and opened her mouth, "My name Is Danni Rinaldi. If you happened to reside in Hell for any length of time, you'll know me as Shadow Runner. I'm a dark magic sorceress and I specialize in the spells from the Book, Scroll, and Sword of the Ancients. For those of you who don't know, that's very black magic. I also specialize in turning people into frogs. Just putting that out there." She sat again, satisfied that she'd completed what Alec had told her to do.

Athena grinned, leaning back in her chair and letting her combat boot-clad feet rest on her desk. Her clawed hands clasped comfortably behind her head, and her ears were perked interestedly. This was easily becoming her favorite class.

Nathan nearly leaped forward as Luna spoke up, and grabbed her by the shoulders. It wasn't harsh or intimidating, just earnest, desperate even. "I know where he is!" he exclaimed. "But I need your help! A-and lots of help! I can't do magic at all!"

Alec nodded his head and smiled at Danni's response. "Good! I was hoping for a dark magic user to be honest. All these basic magics tend to get really hum-drum for me, ya know?" Alec laughed, hoping to lighten the mood and to let Danni know that he wasn't holding anything against her. Alec then turned towards the other two Rinaldis and pointed to them respecively. "Allright, now it's your turn! Let's start with Lia and then go to Amrose, allright?" Alec leaned back on his feet, wondering just how the other female Rinaldi would react to his threat. He sincerely expected her to be shaking with inner rage at his 'impudency', but Alec could care less what she thought.

Nodding, Lia stood, tossing her head and aimed a smile that had every male in the room but Alec and Ambrose drooling at the the mouth and thanking their maker. "My name is Lia Rinaldi, I'm a white magic sorceress. I specialize in cooking and home economic spells. I'm afraid I don't have much strength-wise, but I do love it when a boy's strong enough to protect me." She said sweetly, and had Danni rolling her eyes. As she sat, Ambrose stood, and he scratched the back of his head as he towered over everyone. My name is Ambrose Rinaldi, I'm a white magic sorcerer. I specialize in shield magic. I'm the family bodyguard." He shot a meaningful look at the boys eyeing Lia, then took his seat again.

Alec made a slightly worried face towards Lia as she told about her 'specialty'. Alec's tone was a mix of both concern and mis-belief. "Well, I guess that works. I'm almost positive you might have the most trouble with this class Lia." Alec nodded towards Ambrose as he stood up and made his statment. "Ok, that works too! Glad to see I'm getting a bit of variety going here!"
Alec then began to point to a few other random students, who all gave out rather bland answers. One was a pyro, another was a water specialist, and one man mentioned something about 'gas'. Alec screwed up his face slightly at this young man, but decided not to say anything. After a few more students had gone, Alec's hand landed on Athena who was leaning back in her chair with a rather content look on her face. Alec spoke to her like he had to the others. "Allright little lady! You're turn! What can you do?"

Night rolled his eyes listening to Lia's explanation of herself, but agreed With her at the part where she said she had no strengths. He Chuckled as she labeled himself as the class priss and desperate girl searching for a boy, Then nodded calmly as Ambrose answered. Wow Danni I knew your sister was bad, but that was just ... desperate.

Grinning wide like a cheshire cat, Athena leaped up onto her desk. "Alrighty everyone, I'm Athena and don't forget it. I'm half-demon, so if you think the boogey-man's scary, make me mad! I specialize in alchemy, demon magic, and kitsune fire, as well as any combination of the three." With a quick flick of her tail and a canine grin, she flopped back into her seat.
