Dr. Shaw grinned at Ciaran. An expression that carried a hint of mischief, "Oh, you think she was an imposter? That’s odd, I could have sworn she was an S-class. What class were you again? she teased with a smug look on her face. Though Renae was strong, through observation she had realised that there had been a special connection between her and the guild master she so adored. Perhaps that had played a part in it. From what she’d witnesses on all of the footage, the child liked nothing more than to make fun of those who were weaker than herself. The only people she’d ever truly shown respect to were anyone above her in status; Alyssa and Clement within her own guild and Celeste, Raine, Ymir and Andrea in Sabertooth. It seemed she hadn’t interacted with many others but there was no doubt she’d been rude to more in her lifetime. She narrowed her eyes at the dark ecriture mage, "To-do isn’t really good enough. He’s been here hours" she growled at him.
As Kimura spoke to Kaya, Shaw loudly cleared her throat to grasp the attention of the guild master, "If I may be so bold as to make a comment, Miss Tenma, I would start steady. She took quite the beating from your guild members and you’re correct in saying she shouldn’t last long. Take your time. I hate to say it but she might need breaks in between if we want to drain them as well," she advised the fire dragon slayer, indicating towards the bruises and cuts across the water dragon slayer’s body, "I mean, she’s nowhere near as bad as Mr. Valentine but he did make the mistake of facing off against you," she rolled her eyes at the blood mage’s stupidity. Pride had been his downfall.
The doctor pulled up a fold-out chair and seated herself just inside the doorway of Kaya’s cell, retrieving a small laptop from the bag of goodies she’d brought down with Ciaran. She set up a small camera on top of the computer so she could video the torture. For herself it would be for research purposes, for the two wizards, it would be reliving entertainment.
She set up her small machines to test some of the blood they’d collected, placing a few drops of the slayer’s blood onto a small absorbent sheet of paper and sliding it in. Plugging it into her laptop, she switched it on and it whirred quietly while she listened to the conservation between the fairy and the dragon. She hummed in thought. It was very important than they find information on Kaya’s real parents, that way they could trace her back a lot easier. However, they didn’t know much about her dragon parents either. Not even a whisper of their names. She had no doubt they existed, everyone knew dragons were out there somewhere but it seemed that when it came to all of the other first generation slayers, they up and left their so-called children when they reached a certain stage in their life. For example, Skala’s dragon had disappeared when he’d hit an age where the cavern dragon believed he needed to be integrated into real society and use his magic for something other than destroying rocks abd creating mountain paths. Kaya however, didn’t seem to have any big turning points for which her dragons felt the need to disappear. "If she doesn’t spill about her real parents, perhaps we should consider that there’s some memory loss at work here," she suggested, "It’s not impossible that she could have fallen and hit her head at some point before the dragons took her in. We might need to force our way into her mind," she sighed. That would be difficult. And painful for the fairy, but that didn’t matter.
Dr Shaw growled in frustration, "It doesn’t match ANYTHING!" she snapped, "How can no one in Japan have any relation to her? There has to have been generations from which she came from. A family doesn’t just stop existing and then pop back up like a ******** daisy in the middle of concrete." She rubbed the bridge of her nose with her index finger, "I’ll have to send this stuff upstairs to run it against a larger database," she grumbled.
Behind her she could see Raine struggling to keep his eyes open. Blood was trickling out the corners of his mouth, "Hmm, what DOES happen if he passes out? Surely you won’t cut his eyelids if he isn’t faking it. I mean it IS your fault he’s still in such bad shape," she raised an eyebrow at Ciaran. She sighed loudly and cleaned her blood test kit, "I guess I’ll poke around at his DNA while I wait for someone to collect Kaya’s blood samples," she huffed, keeping most of her attention on the torture that was about to happen.

OOC: In this spoiler there’s a list of tools that they brought down with them.

Electric brander with changeable prints (like the ones you use to brand cattle but you can attach numbers and stuff)
Heat-proof gloves (for use with the brander)
Iron skewers (these can be heated to go through the skin)
Red liquid – injectable sedation for if a prisoner gets too feisty
Blue liquid – injectable serum that will wake up a prisoner if they pass out
Green liquid – injectable serum to heighten the senses and make everything more painful
Red tablets – causes a fever and make the prisoner feel like their blood is heating up
Yellow tablets - causes hallucinations
A heating plate (think of a tanning bed lid that you put in front of someone to fry them a little bit)
Regular tools such as knives, needles, scalpels.

Ciaran returned the young woman’s grin, “Ah but class doesn’t matter when it comes to craft. I am a master while that girl was merely an apprentice. A poor one at that.” He did not mince words when it came to his magic. The man was well aware that his magic was not unique to him. There were at least two other documented cases. Yet these individuals did not seem to embrace the true gift afforded them with their runes. He had no doubts that Renae would have entailed more of a fight during her capture if that indeed had been the case. Upon hearing the discontent in Shaw’s tone, he sighed heavily in irritation before relenting to a degree. “Very well, Doctor. If you insist.” He reached into his pocket to retrieve his phone, sending a brief text to the medical team on call. “He will be seen to momentarily.” Returning his attention to Raine, Ciaran was met with an onslaught of saliva and blood. The mixture of bodily fluids misted in the air yet found their target on the younger male’s face. He closed his eyes against the haze. Taking a single finger, he wiped at the distasteful substance. His gaze drifting downward as he rubbed it between his fingers. A flick of his fingers dislodged the liquids from him. Wiping the rest away with his sleeve, a psychotic, feral smile darkened his features. His terror will be so sweet when the time comes, he departed without uttering a singular word in retort. The Blood mage would understand his error soon enough. Ciaran’s initial threat remained firm as well. Should he find him looking away from the fairy’s torment, even while being treated by the medical team, then he had no qualms with ripping his eyelids from him.

Steadying himself, the dark mage prepared to inflict pain on the young Dragon Slayer. His heart beat rapidly in his chest with anticipation. Master Kimura’s ire and forceful demeanor stirred the fire within him even further. He loved bearing witness to his acushla’s methods. Before they could thoroughly get underway, however, Doctor Shaw interjected, suggesting that they take their time. “Heh heh heh,” Ciaran chuckled in sincere amusement. “Don’t worry yourself. Little Kaya here won’t find relief of death so easily. We’re here for answers, after all. And we won’t be able to get those from a corpse. Isn’t that so, Acushla?” His words flowed from him in a soothing lilt. Looking back to Kaya, he laughed, “No, we’ll take this slow and steady until we gain the knowledge we seek.” Should the girl wish to continue her defiance then he would employ all implements of torture available to him. Which, apparently, she desired. By providing the names of her dragon parents, Kaya failed to respond accordingly to Master Kimura’s question. Most unwise, he quirked an eyebrow. Shaw did make a valid point. Memory loss was not uncommon in cases such as these. It could very well be that the Slayer suffered some form of trauma which rendered her incapable of remembering her birth parents. “Well,” he cooed, “In that case, I believe I have just the technique. However, let’s see what we can draw out of her before we resort that, shall we? Far more fun to be had that way.” Who were they to deny the Master her fun? Ciaran would never dream of it. Let alone deny himself the opportunity for inspiration of his next masterpiece.

The Dark Écriture mage knelt by his satchel. Rummaging through its contents, he addressed the scientist, “It’s possible that any relatives of that era might’ve fled from the country once their village was destroyed. I believe they understood that they would remain targets should they remain in their homeland. There is also a slight chance that the bloodline has thinned, making it more difficult to detect. Try searching the databases of countries known to have a higher volume of Japanese migrants. Chances of finding a connection would be greater….Ahh,” his hand touched upon the tool he sought. He retracted his hand from the bag to produce the iron skewers. “If he were to pass out,” Ciaran stood once more, “Then we merely wake him up.” Contrary to what might be observed, he did not harm needlessly. His actions held purpose and reason. A means to an end. At least, that was his opinion on the matter. “Acushla,” Ciaran tilted the tips of the skewers to the Fire Dragon Slayer, “If you would please?” While he waited for the vibrant flames of his lover to heat the metal, he pondered the multitude of questions before choosing the next. “Yue and Watatsumi, you say? Pray tell, where did you happen to meet these dragon parents of yours? Surely, that’s something you remember, yes? I can’t imagine anyone forgetting a wondrous event such as that.” His goal in the moment was to determine her willingness to cooperate. He allowed that she may suffer from a case of amnesia, but he found it unlikely that she could remember her dragons and nothing more of them. To determine her a liar in one meant that she might potentially lie for the other. And that simply would not do. Some persuasion would be necessary. Persuasion that currently rested in the palm of his hand.

I'm all you're ever going to see anymore." She would say with an evil grin where her teeth bore, watching as Ciaran put his rune magic to great use and kept Kaya from making any kind of movements as Dr. Shaw began to draw some blood samples. The water slayer seemed to admit to saying such a phrase when she was younger, not hearing it but making it on her own self awareness. It struck like a brick to her head, the memory of a blue haired child calling her a chibi and all around making fun of her shortness. If she could have her way, this girl would never live to see the daylight from this day forward. The real question remained though..was this child from her memory her? She swear she died, after all the events that took place that day, there's no way this brat could have survived it to tell the tale, she'd be far too old to even be alive. Removing the weapon from the wall slowly, Kimura would raise it over her shoulder as she watched the girl carefully. "Tell me..do you remember anything as a child, any details at all?" She'd question, tapping at her own shoulder lightly with her scythe, waiting to strike if the girl decided to not completely answer the questions to her full capability. Kimura would listen as her associate would explain to take the beatings to the girl rather sluggishly, or else she wouldn't be far behind death's door. "Yes, you're right. Fear not, she won't be dying on my watch. I actually have something that should help with getting her to talk. My apologies, I took it without asking from upstairs." She would tell the scientist, pulling out an electric collar from her pocket, moving closer to the water slayer to wrap it around her neck, but not too tightly. Electric was a known enemy of water, she knew by using this, the girl would be feeling intense pain and would never see the light of death, as it would not be able to kill, though she still had to be careful with all of the injuries the girl already had from her guild members. She held a controller for purposes next to the collar, however if Dr.Shaw deemed it much too unfit to continue with this, she would agree because the scientist knew a lot more about how much a human body could handle.

As it stood, Ciaran held a good grasp from the girl and made sure she wouldn't be dieing on his watch either. She would watch the two talk back and forth, but her attention was mostly focused on getting some real answers from Kaya. She didn't understand what it was about this girl..having no identity as a young child and even failing to realize her childhood, the real truth behind it all. Kimura would look over to Ciaran as he awaited some flames to burn the metal with, flicking one finger as a single flame burned over the metal, the flames engulfing a small amount onto it. When the water dragon slayer responded with the names of the dragons, she growled in annoyance as she had already warned the girl not to resort to that, pushing the button number 1 on the controller which would release a bit of electricity onto the girl, however not enough to really harm her too much. Like Shaw said, this was going to have to come slowly. Through her annoyance, Ciaran was asking Kaya where she met these dragon parents, that was a good question and hopefully the girl would comply enough to fully answer it truthfully. She'd wait patiently, allowing Shaw and Ciaran to use there equipment, should she fail in giving the correct bits of information.

[OOC: Not sure if post works, if not lemme know and I will make any edits needed! c: ]

            ◆ ◇ ◈ ◊ ♦ ♢ ♦ ◊ ◈ ◇ ◆

Raine was more than a little upset that he missed the opportunity to make fun of Ciaran thanks to the doctor's sly comment but the pain he was feeling was too much to allow him to speak. He felt a vague sense of relief knowing his injuries would be seen to soon. As much as he could take the pain, it didn't mean he wanted to. He didn't even manage to laugh when the spray of blood hit its target perfectly. Though it didn't piss the potato off nearly as much as he wanted it to. Not a word from the dark wizard. Disappointing to say the least.
Raine strained to listen to the questions Kaya was being asked. Japanese immigrants? Her family could have gone anywhere from there. Did these people have enough worldwide information to search that broadly? He wouldn't be surprised but that search could take days. That would be a great excuse for them to keep torturing her until the results came through.
It wasn't long before two men with large first aid medical bags arrived in the corridor. It seemed they'd brought enough for both him and Kaya but by the looks on their faces, they didn't intend to stay long. They warily walked into his cell, obviously having doubt in the dark ecriture magic holding him still. People unused to magical always did that; questioned the validity of spells. Fools. Their carefulness around him though, that was smart. No non-magic human would be in their right mind not to fear him even in this state. He grit his teeth and hissed as the medics tended to the severe burns on his back, arms and torso. He tried his hardest not to close his eyes for more than a few seconds but it was difficult. His skin was tender and sore but he felt the cool sensation of antiseptic gel being swept across the raw flesh. He released a shaky breath.
Something caught his eye. Oh, those idiots. The corners of his mouth curved upwards slightly and his pupils dilated with excitement,
"Hey," he murmured to the middle-aged man in front of him who'd just finished putting gel on the neck burn the blood mage had received earlier from Kimura. This poor man was going to regret taking his gloves off in his eyesight, "Where'd you get that cut?" he asked. If it were Raine in control, he might not have done it. He might not have even thought about it. This man hadn't done anything to him. Sure, he worked for the bad guys but that didn't make him a target. But Blood Raine had different ideas. The small but fresh cut on the man's hand suddenly spiked out, sharp blood ripped through the skin going straight through the man's hand blowing his thumb off. It was quite possibly the weakest Blood Spike spell he'd ever cast but the man's shriek of pain brought joy to Blood Raine's ears as he laughed maniacally, "Sorry, I couldn't help myself," he sang, "God, I thought Raine was being boring but you have really done a number on him. Nice spell," he said to Ciaran. His eyes flicked to Kimura, "Sorry, am I interrupting? Carry on," he grinned. Though he couldn't move his head, he could see the medic in his peripheral vision, "Wow, you might wanna get that looked at," he mocked.
The dark guild master seemed to be asking some interesting questions that even sparked Blood Raine's curiosity,
"Come on, fairy, it's story time! Tell us," he said, faking a begging tone, "I really don't wanna keep my head like this forever. Apparently SOMEONE wants to cut my eyelids off. I think he just wants to lovingly stare into my eyes forever, don't you, potato boy?" the other Raine ran his tongue along his teeth in what would have been a seductive manner were he not in such an odd position; awkwardly chained, covered in burns and gel with a man a few feet away clutching his mutilated hand as the other medic frantically bandaged it.
Somewhere deep inside him, the real Raine was thankful his psychotic counterpart had surfaced. Perhaps it would distract and delay the dark wizards from hurting Kaya. It was inevitable that she would be harmed but even a few minutes would be something the slayer might be thankful for. However, he had to fight back or he might not regain control. He couldn't roll over and let Blood Raine dominate him. The blood mage could feel his 'good' half pushing back to the surface,
"Really? Already? So stubborn" he said seemingly to himself. The crazed look in his golden eyes faded to a more subdued, dull and tired glaze as he returned to a calmer state, "Looks like I had a bit of magic control left after all" he muttered. Shame he hadn't saved it. He wouldn't regain that ability again for a while. Damn.

Guild- Fairy Tail | Magic- Water Dragon Slayer | Rank- A-rank

☽❄ ████████████████████████████████████████████████ ❄☾

This whole discussion was getting old fast. “I can hear you ya know,” she sighed. They were talking about her as if she were invisible. They spoke so casually about how best to get the information they wanted. As if it was nothing to torture someone until the body gave out. Well, we are talkin’ about the bad guys here, she reminded herself with a silent snicker. Causing harm to others came as second nature to them. Probably tryin' to scare me. There did seem to be a voice of reason among their ranks, however, albeit a small one. Doctor Shaw managed to convince Ciaran to summon the medical team for Raine. That's one good thing at least. Kaya blew out a breath of relief knowing that he would be tended to. While he hadn’t let on too much about his pain, she could smell and see the large numbers of burns covering his body. Anyone with any basic knowledge of injuries knew the risk of them getting infected. The arrival of the medics put those concerns to rest for the time being. An antiseptic smell wafted across the cell, causing her nose to twitch slightly. No matter the circumstance, she always disliked its strong odor.

Blue orbs flicked to where the dark guild master stood. Her red gaze seared into Kaya as she toyed with her scythe. The Dragon Slayer frowned, uncertainty clouding her features. If she said anything, then it might be taken as a weakness and vulnerability. Unwise to show the enemy. They would continue to press for more information until they had all they wanted. Yet the same could be true if she said nothing at all. Kaya doubted they would simply leave her alone if she refused to speak. What should I do? To tell the truth, to lie, or be silent? It was a difficult choice. As if sensing her indecision, Kimura produced an odd-looking collar from her pocket. Metal gleamed in the dim light as she stepped closer, a wicked glint in her eye. Kaya ducked and twisted her head around in a bid to block the woman from securing the thing around her neck. Even attempting a headbutt to no avail. Her limited range of movement prevented her from succeeding in the end. She felt the cold steel tighten around her neck. Loose enough not to choke her yet tight enough to keep from shifting. It chafed and irritated the burn placed there previously by the same culprit.

“Why do you care if I do or don’t?” Kaya asked. “It’s not like it has anything to do with you.” Her past was her own. Its secrets hers to discover or let lie. Why were they adamant in learning about her history and connecting her to the other Kaya Tsukino? Whatever the reason, one thing was certain. They came prepared to make her talk. Ciaran withdrew his hand from the satchel at his feet, hefting six iron skewers. She eyed the tools warily as he held them out for Kimura to heat, of which she eagerly obliged. Unsatisfied by her answers thus far, the shorter mage aimed a small remote at the Slayer and pressed a button on it. Electricity shot through her, zipping and buzzing. Her muscles spasmed involuntarily, and she jerked in her chains. “Hngh!” She bit down on her tongue in a strangled gasp of pain. Seconds felt like minutes, but it was soon over. The electricity subsided as quickly as it began. Kaya exhaled a loud breath, reeling from the short but intense shock. Through her discomfort, the raven-haired girl heard him proceed with another question of his own. “I'm not--,” she began when a cry of agony erupted from the Sabertooth mage’s cell. The smooth, velvety voice of Blood Raine sang out, laughing at the injuries inflicted on the medic and in the next breath urging her to answer. Good timing. His surfacing took the attention off her, giving her time to consider her options. Not that she was the best at thinking actions through.

Dr. Shaw laughed, "You know I'm only messing," she said,"As far as I'm aware, Fairy Tail and the other light guilds take in every stray they come across. I doubt in a guild filled with orphaned children and brats who only just left the safety of home would prove much of a challenge for anyone to reach S-class status. And she been put up to it, she'd have never beaten either of the other two," she stated, referring to Alyssa Smith and Vistoria Rhine. Yet another dragon slayer they'd yet to get hold of. "I haven't heard from any of your guild members about the other missions you sent them on. I'm still lacking a celestial dragon, poison dragon, purgatory dragon and cavern dragon. Technically I'm also missing a lightning dragon as well but we got quite a bit of energy drained from him so research-wise that doesn't concern me," she shrugged, "Let's just hope your guards catch up to him before he brings the cavalry in, shall we?" she frowned.
Watching Ciaran message someone for a medical team she shook her head. He was far too nonchalant about the longevity of their rare test subjects, "you should know better," she said sharply.

A horrific scream rung through the cells, rattling the doctor's eardrums. She jumped up from her chair and spun round, "What the hell?!" she cried, "What... what happened?! How did he manage to use his magic?!" she said, panicking. She might be strong-minded but she hadn't expected this to happen. He was drugged and bound. How? How was it possible? She rushed into the cell and helped the second medic haul his partner out, "Did you see what happened?" she asked the man. Shaw was more than a little furious to be told the middle-aged man who was now bleeding all over the floor had received a cut from a scalpel earlier in the day. All concern suddenly flew out the window, "You mean to tell me that you were called down to treat this man, knowing who he was. And you didn't think to make sure that neither of the people sent down to us had any open wounds?" she asked, her voice shaking with fury.
Her eyes fell on Ciaran, "What kind of idiots did you employ?! Surely you told them who they were treating, right? God damn it," she growled. She knew she shouldn't really insult the people who were paying for all her research but she was angry. She stormed over to Raine's cell door, where the blood mage had a terrifyingly joyous smile beaming across his features as he laughed at the man he'd just attacked, "You really are a monster," she snapped, "I seriously hope I get pictures of your torture to stick to my office wall because I'm going to enjoy seeing your face in pain, Valentine. I'll put them next to the picture of Miss Kane, shall I?"
Her breath was ragged. She'd never witnessed something like this. Blood Raine genuinely harming someone who hadn't really done anything wrong. Yes, he almost broke Octavia's neck but this was different. This was vile. She wasn't sure if the reason she was shaking now was from shock, fury or fear. Maybe all three. She didn't want to show any weakness to Kimura or Ciaran but surely they would understand her reaction. He really was a force to be reckoned with and she hoped he would pay for what he'd just done. "I'm going to take the samples and help get this man some proper attention. I'll be back soon with the results," she said, packing her things and offering a shoulder to the injured man as his partner took the weight on the other side, "Don't turn off the cameras," she ordered before taking the slow and steady route up the many flights of stairs with their bleeding colleague.

| Guild- Dragon's Bane | Rank- A-rank | Magic- Dark Écriture |

████████████████████████████████████████████████

The young man snickered, “As am I.” The impish light in his gaze could not be denied. His naturally playful demeanor often times got overshadowed by his more…sadistic qualities. “Agreed,” he nodded, “It is a wonder any of these light guilds manage a respectable reputation of strength when they seem to hand out positions of power like candy.” Upon her mention of the dragon slayers, Ciaran breathed an exaggerated sigh, “I wouldn’t be surprised to learn those lazy imbeciles have lost us those particular prizes. Even if the battles were fierce, there should be word by now.” He frowned at the notion of it all. The lack of communication from his guildmates did not bode well for the success of their missions. Obtaining the Water Dragon had taken five mages in the end, two more than initially conceived. Perhaps we underestimated them too greatly. He hated to admit as much. Yet the evidence appeared to lead to that conclusion. “Let us hope indeed.” Conversation soon turned to the tiger’s injuries and their treatment, or lack thereof. Ciaran felt the sharp barb of her reprimand strike his ears. “It will not be overlooked again,” the dark mage assured her.

I see she intends to be stubborn, Ciaran quirked an eyebrow, noting the defiant set to her stance. The Water Dragon Slayer did not wish to provide them the answers they sought. At least, not as of yet. Master Kimura deemed her lack of cooperation worthy of a small dose of electrical current. His yellow orbs gleamed in delight as the electricity ran its course. Her body jerked involuntarily against her chains. The torment lasted a mere few seconds but sufficed to impart a message to the willful girl. A message which the Dark Écriture mage desired to reinforce. “Tsk, tsk,” he waggled a single finger back and forth, shaking his head in rhythm. “Has no one ever taught you proper manners? When someone asks you a question, the polite thing to do is to answer them truthfully. I must say, you haven’t been very polite. I’m afraid that simply won’t do. There are far too many questions that remain unresolved. Questions important to my Master, and thus important to me. Now, what ever shall we do about this lapse of etiquette?” He moved closer until he stood less than a foot away. Taking a step to the right, Ciaran walked slowly and deliberately, circling counter-clockwise. His eyes roved up and down her form, studying the various injuries she had received, noting any sign of weakness or hint of pain. “Hmm?” He asked when he faced her once more. “You’ve already had a bit of a shock, but I think something more might be in order,” the dark mage feigned his obliviousness to the heated instruments in his hand. Glancing down, an evil grin spread across his features. “Ah yes, these shall do nicely. Acushla made them nice and heated for maximum efficiency.”

Ciaran pulled a small, rolling metal tray next to him, setting five of the skewers atop it, and being certain to dangle the treated tips over the edge to prevent from transferring heat too soon. He kept hold of one of the skewers, hefting it to the light so that Kaya could see its red glow. Leaning forward, he said, “Try not to jerk away.” He did not provide her any further warning or advice. Grasping her left wrist firmly, he plunged the first deep into her forearm. Years of practicing his craft provided valuable knowledge for such an endeavor. Into the skin, through muscle and tendons, past ligaments and nerves, in between the ulna and radius, the skewer would slice its way through while cauterizing everything in its wake. Ciaran did not stop his task until the blood-covered tip protruded from the other side. “Now, are you feeling more cooperative?” Upon meeting the girl’s glare, he grinned, “No? Oh well, there are still five more opportunities for you to see reason.” He reached for the second as he spoke. A pressure point resided in the bicep. It afforded the perfect target to induce a large amount of agony. Thus, into the bicep the skewer went. The demented mage twisted the metal in his hand to facilitate movement until it too broke skin on the opposite side. Kaya’s shouts of pain filled his ears. His insides stirred in ecstasy from it. And to think I have four more to go! It enriched him to no end. Dragging the tray alongside him, he stepped over to her right side, mirroring the same torture as to her left. One skewer through the forearm. Another through the pressure point of the bicep. Then he turned his focus to her backside. “Where oh where to put the final two…?” Ciaran muttered, tapping his finger to his chin absently. An answer was not long in revealing itself. Glimpsing down, he caught site of her tattered pants legs. Underneath the cloth rested toned calves that would support iron quite well.

With psychotic glee, the dark mage knelt behind her and grabbed her shackled leg. He laughed upon feeling her muscles tense in response. She tried to wrench her leg free from his grasp but to no avail. Grunts and whimpers of pain floated down from her lips as he leisurely poked the fifth iron skewer through her left calve before putting the final one through her right calve. Her discomfort flooded his senses like a symphony of music. Sheer rhapsody, he closed his eyes, lips parting in enjoyment. Ciaran determined not to dwell too long in the moment, however. There was far too much left to be done yet. He could turn to Doctor Shaw’s recordings later, when he could be alone with his art. “Well, that should have given you time to think,” he stood to his full height and moved around to confront her once more. “What do you say? All we’re asking is for you to tell us about yourself. It’s okay to tell us whether you remember or not. We can help you retrieve those memories,” he said with no malice or spite in his voice, employing a coaxing tone instead. The Dragon Slayer appeared to be contemplating her situation when Shaw announced her departure from the holding area. So caught up in his craft, Ciaran had not registered precisely what transpired in Raine’s cell. It was only now, with his concentration broken, that he observed the level of destruction the Sabertooth mage was capable of reaping. “That was sorely uncalled for,” he sighed. As much as he wished to continue his questioning of the fairy, the Dark Écriture mage knew he could not let the assault pass without rebuke. “It seems as if I must attend to your friend across the way,” Ciaran told Kaya, “Master Kimura will ask questions in my stead. It would be wise for you to answer them. But, before I depart—,” he went to his satchel and rummaged around inside. Seconds later, he returned clutching a vial of green liquid in one hand and a syringe in his right. “We don’t want you growing numb to the pain so soon, now do we?” He stuck the needle in the lid of the vial and drew out 1 CCs worth of the substance. Stowing the vial in his pocket, Ciaran advanced on the raven-haired teenager, using her current state to his advantage. He cleared the excess air from the barrel before inserting the tip of the needle into the crease of her elbow, depressing the plunger until all liquid was gone. “There,” pivoting to face his lover, “Please excuse me for a moment, Master, while I deal with the tiger. Kaya here shouldn’t be quite as disagreeable if you wish to continue the interrogation,” he bowed from respect before backing away.

Retrieving the satchel of tools, the young male strode from Kaya’s cell to Raine’s. The floor was stained red with the blood of the medic. It pooled and clotted, forming a grotesque piece of artwork. Unrecognizable pieces of flesh lay strewn about in one corner of the room. “My my, you certainly are full of surprises.” Ciaran could never have imagined the redhead capable of wreaking such damage in his drugged state. Yet, somehow, he maintained enough control of his faculties to mutilate a man. Setting his bag on a relatively clean portion of the floor, he folded his arms across his chest and locked gazes. “Whatever are we going to do with you, Blood Raine? The fairy and I were just starting to have a little fun. Were you feeling left out? Rest assured, I wasn’t going to ignore you. But, since you seem so insistent, I suppose I could spare a moment.” Placing his hand in his pocket, he produced the vial from previously. Ciaran chose to use the same syringe he had on Kaya, disregarding proper medical procedure in lieu of convenience. “Let’s play,” he leered as he injected the green liquid in the crease of Raine’s elbow. Once finished, he tucked the objects inside the bag, exchanging them for another tool hidden in its dark recesses. An electric brander. “I trust you know what this is?” The younger man held it aloft for Raine to view. “A rather exciting toy this one. One, I must admit, that I’ve been anxious to utilize. Whom better to practice on than you? After all, that little display served to solidify my theory on how best to approach you. No sharp objects for you, my friend. We wouldn’t want to give you further ammunition to use against us, yes? So,” he slipped on the heat-proof glove. “What shall it be? Perhaps a little cross on the pectoral? Or a series of numbers? Ohhhh…” A pause for dramatic effect, “I know just the thing. How about a little star, hmm? A perfect show of affection for the little Celestial Spirit wizard you so adore.” Ciaran chuckled, knowing his words would strike a chord. If Blood Raine wished to play, then who was he to deny him? It would afford Master Kimura the time to dole out her own punishment on the Water Dragon Slayer as she saw fit.

There was no getting out or avoiding it from wrapping around her neck, the girl questioned why she would care as it had nothing to do with her, and in that certain thought she was surely in the wrong. "You're so naive, your life story is bigger than you even can begin to realize. And unless you start talking, you'll really regret it, we have some pretty useful tools at our disposal. It's not that hard to just tell the truth, I know you know some things." She would grin devilishly at the water slayer, hoping she will hear her demands and agree to the terms or else fall to terrible methods of torture. She would glance over towards Shaw and Ciaran regarding the pretty big amount of missing slayers, her gaze spoke volumes of annoyance and rather unimpressed. Ciaran made some good points in the matter, but she could not let this go by unanswered. She would turn to the both, not minding which one chose to agree to her orders. "I will not approve of any failures, it is completely undesirable. I can agree to some certain terms, any members who was at the very least close should face punishment. The others who failed miserable will be punished, and banished from the guild. If either of you happen to know who these were, feel free to do as you please with punishing them. We will follow through with this as such later." Kimura would state with a serious expression, turning back to the water slayer as Ciaran began the process to get some answers out of her defiant mouth. She liked how much fun her sweet pea was having, he seemed to be enjoying himself with the water slayer, a smirk crawling upon her lips as she merely observed closely from inside the cell. It was pleasing enough watching the girl struggle against the electricity, speaking out in her unwilling to oblige to orders. "You know..this tool can reach fairly high volts of sparks. I can't imagine how deadly that must be for a water user, it'd be a shame if we'd have to find out." She would mock the girl, one finger hanging above the button as if waiting for Kaya to say something that wasn't a correct answer. Kimura would watch as her partner in crime drew forth the heated plate, obviously with evil intentions to the slayer, that something she could enjoy watching herself. It was at least putting her in the very place she should come to realize, there was no escaping her fate. He would burn her wrists, than seeing other injuries within her leg and follow through with that. It was cute watching him play and toy with the enemies, she was trul enjoying the girls cries as much as he was.

Kimura was tapping her scythe at her shoulder while she watched Ciaran, asking on Kaya's terms if she would be so willing to talk, even admit she could not remember, something at the very least they could gain. Any knowledge was a piece of work, it could easily be figured out and lined up to result in the truer answer with a bit of work and research. They couldn't work very well if they had no information to go from. While they had been so focused on Kaya, a scream of pain erupted from a cell nearby, attracting the guild leaders attention and gaze of deep penetrating golden orbs. The team that came in had started there work on healing Raine, when the blood side of him kicked in and decided to take advantage of the mans apparent cuts. She would watch as Ciaran would speak to Kaya, informing her that he had other matters to attend to, rather the blood mage. She'd listened as he explained wishing to go work out everything with the tiger on the other side, agreeing but her blood was boiling with what Raine had done, and some stupid link within the healers or ones whom gave the orders. She would make it clear to her sweetie, speaking of it. "That's fine, I think Raine could use a bit of a lesson or two. All I ask, is that you make sure he pays dearly for what he'd caused. I hope you can also find out which idiot it was who summoned a man with a cut, knowing willingly they were dealing with a blood mage. That is unacceptable." She would say as her gaze drifted away while Shaw made her exit for now and Ciaran would pass on by, as the leader made her way strolling over to Kaya. A serious expression lay on her gaze, following to Kaya's deep blue eyes. "I just need to know..how old are you? Do you remember a child in your younger years with long black hair, the one you would name..Chibi? Can you recall any events? These are all simple questions, you will either know or not remember at all. No child goes years without any sort of documents referring to what they'd gotten done, doctor visits, dentist, you name it. So why is it..you have no actual records?" Kimura would question the girl, poking the scythe at the side of the wall against Kaya, close enough to tap at her. If she so much as failed to answer or she found it unworthy, the slayer would soon find more hell coming her way.

                                                                      ████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

            spacI became insane...

            ◆ ◇ ◈ ◊ ♦ ♢ ♦ ◊ ◈ ◇ ◆

Whether he had been frozen by his rune bonds or not, Raine was unable to take his eyes off of what was happening to his fellow light mage. Ci was seriously sick in the head. He'd certainly done his research on how to cause the most pain. The blood mage flinched slightly as Kaya's screams rung sharply through his ears. He was impressed that she hadn't cried yet. With four iron skewers punctured straight through pressure points, she should have been in tears by now. She was stronger than he gave her credit for. Regardless, she was still clearly in agony and the more she yelled, the more her face was replaced in Raine's mind with that of the girl he feared for the most. He wanted to tell them to stop but he knew that was a terrible idea. That would be inviting them to do worse and he couldn't put the slayer through that.

Blood Raine smirked up at Ciaran,
"Aren't I just," he replied, "Do you like my work? You're a man of torture, surely you understand that tingly feeling tearing body parts off gives you? Though I think your tastes are a little more perverted than mine," his eyes flicked to the water dragon slayer, "I mean, you're practically getting off on touching up a minor, I'm surprised you haven't needed to go and pleasure yourself in the corner," he mocked. While he himself did have a small obsession with the blood of a certain just-turned 17-year old, he wouldn't get off on hurting her in quite the same way. The taste of her blood was euphoric but he wasn't about to get freaky over it.
He quirked an eyebrow and grinned,
"As a matter of fact, yeah. I was feeling a little unloved. Needed you to come over and show me some action. You can touch me up too if you want," he laughed again, his golden eyes dramatically looking the dark ecriture mage up and down and biting his severely cut lower lip. Internally, the real Raine wanted to punch his other self in the face for acting this way. It disgusted him.
Blood Raine eyed up the device in Ciaran's hand,
"Actually, I don't know what it is. But I can guess. Is it a curling iron for your hair?" he asked. He pouted like a child upon hearing he wouldn't be receiving the skin carvings he'd hoped for, "Aww, that's a shame. If you cut me, I'll be good. Cross my heart." He listened to Ciaran go through his number and letter brand choices and rolled his eyes. He felt a sharp p***k as the dark wizard pulled out a needle filled with green liquid and jabbed it into the crease of his elbow. There was a brief burning sensation. What was that stuff? He felt his heart start to unnaturally race. That wasn't good. What really drew his attention was the unexpected suggestion of marring his already burned and sore skin with an abomination. "Don't you ******** touch me with that star, you piece of s**t," he growled. No way would he stand for that. He tried to lunge in his chains, eyes filled with fury but held tight by the spell. Why was Ciaran so insistent with his belief that Raine was in love with Octavia? "Affection? Ha! Is that what you call it? Personally I'd call her unfinished business. I desire her blood, wouldn't say no to her body, but that's not affection," he corrected him.
As the device was switched on, the real Raine fought back. The other Raine had well and truly screwed him over by talking too much,
"God damn it. Shut your mouth!" he roared seemingly at himself. The sensation he'd previously felt had caused the burns on his back to start stinging again. The green liquid. It was doing something bad to him, he could feel it, "I swear if you brand me with that I'll shove it down your throat when I break free!" he snarled.

Guild- Fairy Tail | Magic- Water Dragon Slayer | Rank- A-rank

☽❄ ████████████████████████████████████████████████ ❄☾

The teenager sneered at Kimura. “And I know you’re a baka. What’s with you guys and wanting to know all this stuff anyway?” There had to be a reason why they wanted to know information about her so badly. Most dark guilds didn’t care in the least to learn about the members of light guilds. Not unless they had a personal agenda. But that was rare, and it certainly couldn’t apply here. Kaya had never met any of these mages prior to today. She would’ve remembered their scents if she had. Her heart leapt upon hearing of the other teams’ failures to capture other Dragon Slayers. At least they didn’t get Stardust, she breathed a sigh of relief. She hoped the younger Slayer stayed close to the others. This was no place for her to be. She never wanted her best friend to experience something like this. Ever. “High voltage can be deadly to anyone, baka,” Kaya rolled her eyes. “And I’m no ordinary water user. I’ve got two guildmates that use electricity. Don’t’cha think I’ve had some practice dealing with it? How about you come get this thing and try it on yourself? See what level you can take.” Probably not the best idea to challenge someone with the remote to a shock collar. The Slayer simply couldn’t help herself, allowing her annoyance to seethe out and lace her words. Raine’s assault on the medic may have afforded her some leeway in the end, if just a smidge.

Kaya’s respite didn’t last but for a moment. Ciaran seemed to either not notice or care about the mutilation occurring in the other cell. His attention zeroed in on her and the objects held in his hand. She tracked him with her eyes as he circled around her like a shark would its prey. The psychotic glint in his yellow orbs sent a chill down her spine. She wasn’t sure what he intended to do but knew she wouldn’t like it in the least. She eyed the white-hot tips of the skewers, steeling herself for whatever was to come. His words of warning registered in her mind just before she felt his hand grip her wrist roughly. Seconds later, an intense searing sensation lanced up her arm. Agony, pure and unadulterated, pulsed outward from where he shoved the instrument deeper into her skin. “Gah-ah!” She screamed. Through tendons, between bones, the burning progressed unrelenting till at last the iron tip exited the skin on the other side. Her clenched fists sprung open in a bid to relieve the torment. Her muscles spasmed. Drawing in a haggard breath, she tried to steady herself. Ice blue orbs glared darkly at the man. His cheeky grin and singsong tone disgusted her. What good would cooperating with them do? Sure, it might lessen the torture for a time, but she didn’t trust it to end altogether. Besides, she couldn’t tell them what she didn’t know. Nor did she really care to tell them anything anyway.

Her suffering escalated from there. Her defiance spurred the dark mage on in his endeavors. Taking another of the skewers, he twisted it through the pressure point of her left bicep. As much as her left arm hurt, it grew exponentially worse. Pain radiated up and down her left side, from her fingertips to the base of her neck. Her right side soon joined in the chorus of torment. Two more skewers were thrust into mirror positions of the ones through her left. “Nngh,” she groaned, unable to do anything more. Yet he still wasn’t finished. Kaya worked through the horrendous pain coursing through her upper body. She peeked over her shoulder to see what he planned to do. The final two skewers lay menacingly on the metal tray that he’d dragged alongside. His reach for her shackled leg signified his intent. The Slayer tensed in response. She tried to wrench her leg free, but his firm grip and the abrupt constriction of the chain held her in place. Arrrgh! Kaya closed her eyes. Her breaths came in short gasps. Moans and whimpers of distress tore from her throat as he pierced her calves with the last of the heated iron skewers. But she refused to cry. They’d already damaged her pride by forcing out the screams. No way would she allow them any further pleasure. “Go…jump off…a cliff,” the teenager ground out. There was no doubt in her mind what his brand of help entailed.

With his torture complete for the moment, Raine’s antics across the way finally seemed to draw his full attention. Part of Kaya was thrilled to see him leave; however, another part of her dreaded what he might do to the Ace. The psychotic mage could have any number of instruments available to him in the bag he’d brought down. While she knew Raine could handle the pain, she no more wished to see him hurt than she did herself. She watched warily as he reached inside of the satchel, producing a vial of green liquid and syringe from its depths. A faint odor permeated the air around the vial. An unusual smell which set her on edge a little. Ciaran wasted no time with idle chatter. Withdrawing some of the liquid, he plunged the needle deep into her elbow crease. Her attempts to fight back resulted in the jostling of the skewers, sending new waves of agony rippling across her body. Kaya grit her teeth together and stopped fidgeting in hopes to ease it. Once he left, Kimura stepped up in his stead. Lifting her eyes to meet the other, she scowled back at the woman. “Why don’t…you ask…Tweedledumb over there? Shouldn’t…he know?” Based on his bragging earlier, he sounded as if he should know the answers to Kimura’s “simple” questions. “I’ve known a lot of...people with black hair…and called a lot…of people chibi. So?” The Dragon Slayer winced at the tap from the crimson scythe. Wait... Kimura hadn’t tapped hard enough to hurt. So, why had it? Kaya sensed the green liquid filtering through her veins. She could feel her senses ramping up even more, becoming more delicate than normal. Her pain worsened by the abnormally heightened awareness. Not good.

████████████████████████████████████████████████

Blood Raine was truly an interesting character. The way in which he referred to the dismemberment of another echoed the very sentiments Ciaran himself felt during his torture sessions. “Aw I’m not so certain we’re that different,” he grinned slyly at the redhead. “We both receive pleasure from inflicting pain onto others. Don’t tell me you haven’t felt the very same stir within your gut that I have. You’ve enjoyed my session with the fairy, haven’t you? Her screams of agony have been wondrous. Surely, you of all people have found it as entrancing as I.” The dark mage moved closer, coming to settle beside Raine’s ear before pivoting to look at Kaya. “Tell me, do you sense it? Her blood pumping faster as the pain takes hold? Does it not give you a tingling feeling all over? I could make her bleed for you if you desire. What do you think? A little blood for Blood Raine to pleasure himself with? You’re already in a corner after all,” he laughed raucously, relishing in turning the male’s words back on him. Ciaran shuffled back around to face his new target. “Be careful what you wish for,” he warned, shaking his finger back and forth in front of the other’s face. Yellow orbs glinted menacingly in the light. “I may just grant your request.” Of course, he did not mean this in a sexual manner. Ciaran strictly enjoyed the prospect of torture as a means to express his artistic flare. He had but one lover, and she currently stood across the hall toying with their other prisoner.

Hefting the electric brand, Ciaran snickered and shook his head. “Oh, I’m certain it can curl someone’s hair. Why don’t we find out, eh?” He carefully tucked the brand under his armpit while he slipped the heat-retardant glove on. The serum should be taking effect rather soon, the mage calculated the time it would take to sufficiently spread through the Ace’s system. Doctor Shaw made the serums fast-acting to be more efficient. Less time wasted in garnering the desired agony. “My my,” Ciaran sensed the lurch against his spell. He had certainly hit a sour note. “So violent all of a sudden. What happened to your composure from seconds ago? It couldn’t possibly have anything to do with my choice of tattoo for you…could it? Let’s say you don’t have affection for her,” he twirled the brand absently in his hand. “A brand like this one could speak to your conquest. It’d serve as a reminder of what you took. Or, I suppose, what you could’ve taken since you won’t ever be leaving these walls. Although, my offer still stands to go fetch the girl for you. You’d have a chance to take what you desired then…” The Dark Écriture mage left his statement open from there. Whether Blood Raine accepted or not, his main reason for making the offer was to drive the true Raine mad with anger. Chained as he was, he held no power to prevent Ciaran from leaving the cells this very moment and finding the Celestial Spirit wizard to bring back. He fully intended to do just that should he be afforded the time and opportunity later.

He switched on the electric brander. The faint hum it emitted brought gooseflesh to his skin. It also appeared to summon the real Raine from his momentary slumber beneath his bloodthirsty counterpart. “Will you now?” Ciaran crowed quietly at the challenge. Taking a step forward, he flipped the brand around so that the broadest part of the star pattern lay to the side. “Tell me,” he held it to the male’s lower left leg, “What makes you think you’ll break free?” The white-haired mage pressed the side of the brand against the exposed flesh of the other, holding it there long enough to produce a burn half an inch in length. He moved it higher up and switched to the right leg. “We’re aware of your abilities. Especially now that you’ve shown us that extra precautions are still required to fully subdue you. Just accept that you’ve lost. You shouldn’t be so angry about my choice of brand. If anything,” the brand hovered above the skin of Raine’s upper, inner thigh, close to his groin. “You should be admitting how you feel.” He inflicted another burn. Higher still he moved. The brand stood at the ready towards the back of the tiger’s left hip. “Admit your regrets,” the searing scent of flesh spiked again, marking the area with an inch-long burn. “Admit your failures,” another burn to the right armpit. “But most importantly,” he paused to peer into Raine’s piercing golden orbs. Ciaran reached out to grasp his chin, adjusting his head so that he could better glimpse the targeted area. Heat radiated from the brand, kissing the bare flesh of the neck. “You should admit your true feelings. Perhaps this will help with that.” With a devilish sneer, he jabbed the brand down for the final time. Except he did not leave a mere line. No, this time he used the entirety of the selected shape, leaving it to rest against the smooth skin for no less than forty seconds before pulling it away. His smile broadened further. A star now rested on the left side of Raine’s neck. Forever a reminder of the Celestial Spirit mage.

"This will go easier if you just answer and not question our motives. You're just a worthless brat in appearance, but there's something unusual about you, and I must know what exactly that is." She growled back at her, about ready to just strike her the more she annoyed her with her defiant words. Her gaze never left Kaya, her memory attempting to obtain any information from the slayer, even if it was something slight; it would still be of partial use. She would hear the girl blabbing her mouth, not a very great idea with the position she was placed in. Yet, this girl never seemed to learn what would happen if she ran her mouth too much. There were certainly electric users in Fairy Tail, she remembered much of there information and whom they were, yet her words stood strong in the moment. "You've got a large mouth for such an annoying brat, I would do the world a favor by just putting you out of your misery." She would sneer at Kaya's remark, relishing in murdering the girl until her last final breathe and view of where she stood. "You're the most obnoxious water user on the planet. You think you're so tough, that your guild members electricity mean a shred of anything. Get a grip, there power means nothing. This remote can go unnaturally high, it would likely even hurt your guild members, should I be able to test on any of them surely I could prove it." Kimura would say with a smirk, enjoying the idea of severely paralyzing a friend of Kaya's in pain, one of those annoying electric uses she may have sparred with time to time, to prove how much power the collar contained. This girl was challenging her to try the collar on herself, a futile attempt to get her way, but rather backfire on her own personal affairs. "My body can take more than you can even begin to know. However, I highly doubt yours can. Let's see than, shall we? Prove you can take a lot." She would smirk sadistically at the thought of her withering in pain, specific to this very moment. She'd press the remote to the highest setting of voltage, the sparks emanating around Kaya's body and shocking every inch of her, even the injuries that remain on her body. She bared her fangs in thrill, the scent of the electric burning was a pleasant scent to her nose. That thrill of watching the girl struggle in unbearable pain continued further as Ciaran used whatever means necessary to get the girl to do as they asked without some snarky or witty remarks. Everything he was doing to her, was basically finding every weak point and causing large amounts of discomfort and pain, some of which would become highly unpleasant as the features in her pain filled gaze would give away.

Kimura would smirk upon Kaya's advice to jump off of a cliff, laughing at her choice of words no matter of whom the two it was directed to. Ciaran soon had other duties to perform as he left Kaya in the fire dragons capable hands, dealing with the one known as Bloode Rain next, most likely feeling the same desire to torment the man until he would be too afraid to even speak up or continue to defy there needs. Paying focus on Kaya, she seemed to still not heed any of there warnings and simply suggested her sweet bun tell her, as if he had all of the answers about this girl being hidden away. She would spin the scythe in her hands, the hilt of hit slamming quite hard into Kaya's chest, leaning in closely to her. She knew the girl had sneaky motives, but she could handle whatever the girl tried, she'd simply dare her to make an attempt. "Do you really think he'd hide information from me? Don't you think he would of told me by now if he knew??!!" She would question with anger, a frown pulling over her lips suggestively. "I know you're hiding something, and since you're failing to tell, it must be secretive. I will find out one way or another, mark my words. I always get my way." The fire dragon slayer answered with a bit of a smirk, pushing the weapon into her chest further. "So you have..but surely you must recall names, anything at all. I wish to know..what can you remember of your life before meeting your dragon parents? Can you remember anything at all, even minor details? I will go easy on you, and even your dear friends should you answer truthfully. And don't bother attempting to lie, I have ways of finding out, and I will raise even worst hell for you and your guild should you proceed in doing so." Kimura demanded answers from the water slayer, eyeing her down as she awaited further for results, preparing to take further actions should Kaya cause a bit of trouble.
OOC: Hope everything is okay! I can't remember where I was going with the first top of the post, as it was a while ago. xD

            Blood Raine scoffed,
"Don't get me wrong, I get chills when I paint the floor with the guts of someone who had it coming but I don't get turned on by it. Trust me, if I was, you'd know it. Seeing as you seemed to have stripped me down when you chained me up, don't you think it would be obvious if I needed a little release right about now?" he asked, quirking an eyebrow suggestively. His good looks weren't the only thing that kept the girls he slept with coming back for more and he wasn't one to shy away from a little vanity in that department.
The blood mage glowered at Ciaran, pure fury in his eyes,
"It's got jack to do with the shape," he growled. No man in his right or wrong mind would WANT a burning hot brand against their skin. Besides that, Raine had never received a scar from a single opponent. The slashes on his arms and chest were self-inflicted for use of his magic. He eyed up the dark ecriture wizard as he once again offered to bring Octavia to him, "I don't need your help getting what I want," he stated. Part of the real Raine rang out in his words, not wanting to accept. Another part of it was Blood Raine's pride. He wouldn't let another man do his work for him, "Besides, if I let you do that, I definitely won't get what I want from her," he continued, "I mean, I want to enjoy myself. But stuck in this s**t hole, that won't happen. Do you really think that little dove would let me take her innocence on this cold hard floor? She's too much of a princess to let even my charming self do that. All that leaves is the option to drain her and after careful consideration, I think that would be boring. So thanks for the offer, potato boy, but I'll catch her some other time," he said, smirking.
After reemerging, Raine could feel that his body was under a lot of strain. That green liquid must have been some sort of hypersensitivity serum. That meant this was going to hurt a lot. He gritted his teeth in anger as Ciaran mocked him,
"They'll come for me, my guild, and they'll... AH!" he yelled as the searing hot iron was pressed against the bare skin of his lower leg. His chest heaved with laboured breaths through his clenched teeth and he growled in pain every time the dark wizard held the brand to his flesh, leaving short burns all the way up his leg. Ciaran stood, facing Raine with the most infuriatingly smug look on his face. He was holding the brand dangerously close to an area that the blood mage internally prayed he wouldn't go near. He held his breath, panicking slightly. He cried out as the iron pressed against the extremely sensitive skin of his inner thigh. At least it wasn't what he feared it might have been. Every time the burning iron pressed against his skin, the pain grew worse and worse. Each time his agonising cries were more desperate for an end. It stopped for a moment as the dark ecriture mage spoke to him of admitting any regrets and failures he had since he would be spending the rest of his life in this cell. When Ciaran stared into his eyes whilst gripping his chin, sneering at the blood mage and telling his to admit his true feelings. The intense heat so close to his neck distracted him from coming up with a smart-a** answer and as the star-shape scorched itself into his flesh, he roared in pain. His fists clenched and his legs shook from the immense scorching sensation. The dark wizard held it there for so long he was sure it would break through the skin. When he finally pulled it away, there wasn't much relief. Whatever the liquid was, it was doing its desired job perfectly. Raine hung limply against his bindings, taking in shuddering breaths. His hair fell over his face. His eyesight was blurring. He wasn't sure whether his eyes were watering from the slight smoke that was coming from his skin or the flood gates had subconsciously broken. Either way he was damned for mockery. "What is it you want me to say?" he asked quietly, "You want me to say I like Octavia? Sure, I like her the same as I like all the other guild members which isn't much," his breath was shaky and his voice murmured in a low tone that you'd only be able to hear if you really listened. Though it was likely both dragon slayers would be able to hear him anyway, "You want me to say I want her? That I want to kill her? That I want to have my way with her? I don't. He might, but not me," blood trickled from his mouth. The result of his relentless pained screams, "You want me to say I love her? I wouldn't even know what that feels like. I've never felt love. I don't need nor want it, especially not from her." All in all, Raine truly believed his own words. Even if he did have so much as a crush on the celestial wizard, he wouldn't know. He didn't know what having a crush felt like. He knew anger. He knew lust and pride. He knew fear but avoided it. He knew pain and endured it. But love and affection? Not even the faintest idea and he didn't care.

Guild- Fairy Tail | Magic- Water Dragon Slayer | Rank- A-rank

☽❄ ████████████████████████████████████████████████ ❄☾

The raven-haired teenager snickered, “Who said I’d make things easy?” In fact, she had every intention of being as difficult as possible. She’d push the envelope with the dark mages as far as she could. It wasn’t in her nature to give up or backdown, and she would do so only if circumstances grew dire. Sneering back at the Fire Dragon Slayer, she tossed back, “And you’re the most annoying fire user on the planet. Guess that makes us even. I mean, you’re talking like you’ve got a clue what sort of power my guildmates have. You think something like this would hurt them? Not a chance.” Her claims that either Kai or Misaka could be hurt by an element they wielded was absurd. Kai would simply eat the shocks while Misaka would likely turn them to her advantage. I guess she could cheat somehow, the Water Dragon Slayer admitted to herself. Dark mages weren’t exactly known for fighting fair. Yet Kaya had faith in her guildmates and their ability to withstand voltage from something like the shock collar. They certainly wouldn’t have batted an eyelash at the first shock she received from the thing. As it stood, she compared it to one of their minor spells. Enough to shock and cause pain but do little else. The same couldn’t be said for the second one received.

Sparks coiled and rippled over the surface of her body. The high voltage palpable in the air as it sizzled and flickered. Hands balled into tight fists. She bucked and writhed against the chains holding her in place. Her muscles clenched and spasmed from the shock wave and an agonized scream tore from her throat. Seconds dragged on to what felt like minutes then hours until finally it ceased. Kaya slumped forward, bringing all her weight to bear on her arms. The pain was immense. Her vision blurred. Darkness crept along the edges of her sight, threatening to drive her into oblivion. Okay…so…maybe mouthing off…to a dark guild master…in possession…of a shock collar isn’t…the best idea, she noted as she struggled to retain consciousness. Unbidden tears prickled the corner of her eyes though she refused to let them fall. Lifting unfocused eyes to the dark-haired girl, she attempted a glower but managed just a scowl of pain. Her torment was far from finished though. Ciaran saw to it that her suffering increased a hundred-fold. Each instrument placed to cause the most agony. Kaya’s cries and whimpers filled every corner of the darkened cells. The teenager felt herself teetering on the brink of the abyss once more. Then, as suddenly as the assault started, it was over and done. The Dark Écriture mage’s attentions turned towards the Blood mage.

Kaya’s breaths came in exhausted huffs. Every bit of energy she had went into staying awake and keeping herself from jostling the skewers still stuck through her arms and legs. Her heart started to accelerate as the green serum coursed its way through her veins, enhancing her senses even more so and making her body hypersensitive to stimuli. She flinched from the screams echoing across from Raine’s cell. His scent marred by the addition of burnt flesh. Mercifully, or not, his shrieks died down to low, tear-filled mutterings. Raine… The Water Dragon Slayer had little time to dwell on him. An incredibly sharp pain struck her when the hilt of Kimura’s scythe found its mark in her chest. It knocked the wind from her lungs, sending out new waves of misery. “I…don’t…know,” she wheezed, “Maybe ya…sh’ld ask ‘im…’bout it.” She struggled to utter a coherent sentence. Every stuttered or jumbled word gnawed at her because it gave them pleasure. Crap. Wincing as the weapon was prodded deeper into her chest, Kaya found herself debating on whether to answer or not. Surely, there was nothing worth mentioning about her past? There was nothing special about it that she could remember. Then again, that seemed to be the issue at hand. She didn’t remember anything aside from her dragon parents, and those memories were vague at best. Would it be worth it to relay that? “I—I’m not…bein’ secr’tve,” Kaya croaked. Swallowing to wet her throat, she continued, “Just…don’t see…why…ya want to…know so…bad. ‘Sides…not much…to tell. But…if ya really…want to know…” An idea formed in an instant. The dark mage had leaned in to question her, providing an opening to lash out. Without hesitation, the younger Slayer reared back then rammed her head forward in a bid to strike the older one. Not the best plan she had by far. Quite possibly the worst, as the fresh volley of blinding pain emphasized, but it sufficed to demonstrate her pent-up frustration.

| Guild- Dragon's Bane | Rank- A-rank | Magic- Dark Écriture |

████████████████████████████████████████████████

Ciaran leaned back, listening to Blood Raine’s words. “Perhaps,” he quirked an eyebrow in kind, “You need a little push then? You honestly can’t expect me to believe you haven’t enjoyed the show.” He waved his hand dismissively. The mere notion that someone such as the Blood mage failing to appreciate his art seemed ridiculous. “Her screams of suffering would bring joy to any one of our ilk. Maybe your counterpart finds it distasteful but, you and I, we share the same artistic flare for the destructive and dramatic.” Taking a step back, the younger male studied his prisoner. His keen eye searching for the telltale signs of discomfort or the subtle hints of dishonesty in his body language. “Hmm…mayhaps you desire to be closer to the fairy, eh, sputnik? It is a good distance between your cells. Not exactly the best of views I must attest. What do you think? I could bring her over. Allow her to bleed everywhere for your amusement. You would like that, wouldn’t you?” His Irish lilt rose a bit in pitch at his excitement. “She has it coming, after all. I heard your shouting match when we approached earlier. Surely, you wish to see her learn her lesson, yes?” Ciaran leaned in, placing his lips close to Raine’s ear. “Come on, Blood Raine. Show her how heartless you are. I’ll even let you use her blood to try and attack me. It’d be proving little Miss Octavia wrong in the end…” He lowered his voice till it was but a whisper. His lips curled upward in an evil leer. Yes, he quite liked the idea of throwing the fairy to the tiger.

“Oh?” The white-haired mage feigned aloofness as he studied the electric branded held firmly in his grasp. “Then what DOES it have to do with, hm? Is it because I’m damaging your pride by placing a mark on you? He who prizes his appearance and stature above all else. He who has never been scarred by another outside of himself.” Yellow eyes flicked up to look at the Ace. “Or does it have to do a certain brunette?” By the glower received, Ciaran knew which it was, and he pressed his point further. “Are you so certain? It seems to me as if you haven’t had much luck achieving your goals on your own. Ever since that dreadful affair in her bathroom, you’ve lost your edge. By my observations, you’re more apt to flee from her than you are to catch her.” Ciaran stretched out his free hand, placing it casually on Raine’s shoulder. “I’m offering you the chance to see your goal to fruition,” he spoke as one friend might to another, “You could claim her as your own. Your final conquest. Are you fully prepared to pass up my offer because of pride? Don’t be so foolish, Blood Raine. You’re never leaving this place. There will never be another chance to take all that you desire. Out of the kindness of my heart, I’m willing to give you what you so feverishly seek before you meet your end. Think carefully before you deny it the final time. Besides, you’d be surprised what the heat of the moment can entice from a victim such as your lovely Celestial Spirit mage.” The words flowed from the tip of his tongue, past his lips in the silky-smooth fashion of a snake-oil salesman. He thoroughly relished the attempts at denial by the redhead. It would be fun to see him broken.

And fun it was indeed. The Blood mage’s screams of agony were pure delight to the ears of the Dark Écriture mage. Drawing in a breath, he exhaled through his mouth, releasing a sigh of ecstasy. Ciaran did not expect much else from the hardened Ace and thus felt content. So, when the first tears fell from Raine’s eyes, it sent waves of glee coursing through him. His teary-eyed mutterings were like a symphony to his ears, despite the redhead’s insistence on the matter of his affections. "Could it be? Am I truly spying with my own little eyes what I suspect? Ah, but yes! Tears!" This was truly a rare sight to behold. And it would be one he cherished forever to be certain. "We’re getting closer to the truth, my friend.” Ciaran switched the brand off and set it down next to his satchel where it would be out of the way. Folding one arm across his chest, he used the other to tap teasingly at the other’s chest. “But we’re still not there yet. You’re so deep in your delusions that you fail to understand. Even little Kaya sees what you cannot!” He shook his head, amused by the man’s obliviousness. “You’re changing, Blood Raine, and you haven’t even noticed it. That night sparked something within your personas. One of you desires to steal and kill. But what of the other- the true Raine? He wishes for something more. Have you not sensed it? That odd sensation in your chest whenever you’re near her. The intense lack of common sense coupled with an almost absurd sense of yearning? You say you don’t know what love is. Have never felt it before. Don’t need nor want it. Yet--,” he motioned up and down Raine’s form with his hand. “You already have. Shall I prove it?”

Without awaiting a response, Ciaran reached into his satchel of toys. He rifled through the contents for a moment. His intentions on finding one item in particular. Ahh here we are… The smile on his features broadened further. Hand coiling around the object, he straightened to his full height before moving back to the Ace. “Let’s see what your inner more thoughts are about.” He held out his hand palm down and at eye level while he spoke. A small packet dangled between his thumb and forefinger. Its contents visible through the clear packaging. A solitary yellow tablet resided within. Ripping it open, Ciaran tucked his gloved finger underneath Raine’s chin, tilting his head back until it could not go any further then pinning it there. He proceeded to slam his fist into the tender burn on the redhead’s hip in a bid to make him yell. Once he obliged, the dark mage popped the tablet into his mouth and sealed his mouth closed with more runes. There would be no avoiding his plans by dislodging the hallucinogenic. Now, to wait for the show to begin, Ciaran laughed at the potential of what was to come. He might even return to playing with the fairy to observe the tiger's reactions to outer stimuli as well.
