Just please don't close the cafe thread. I love playing my character in there! crying

It seems like one of the problems with the cafe thread is that a lot of the people who are supposed to play staff are just never online anymore, and also, there's no way for us to change the thread title from time to time to let everyone know it's a walk-in thread and that there's different stuff going on. I know that'll change once Moo comes back from patrol, but maybe the Halloween header is one of the things that keeps people from posting, like if they think it's still an ongoing event?

Guys, where or when did we get the idea that the rooms in the cafe are only for cafe staff or thread staff? Aren't the rooms supposed to be open for guests?

            They are... I'm going to be heading into the cafe thread to change the title, some of the content in posts, and to generally give it a little love touch-up. This is on my list of things to change/address in the rules.

            If anyone else can please post things that have not been working or need to be addressed then I will add it to my list.

            Okay guys. I've spent most of my day editing coding so I hope you all appreciate the process so far.
            Tomorrow I continue and I will begin addressing some concerns that have come to my attention about this RP thread. It is not my intention to close this thread, but if there is cause for it then that may have to happen if all parties of the concerns I've been made aware of are not capable of owning up and getting along.

            Remember that the Annual Ball is about the cooperation of everyone involved. It's important that we are all in agreement about things that we do, say, and that we are respecting EVERYONE, no matter how hard we may have to try. All sorts of different people are working together in this ball so there is NO ROOM for ignorance or intolerance of any kind. You are free to your opinions, but you are not free to impose those opinions upon someone else. Freedom of expression is not the freedom to oppress others.

            Now, starting today, I want everyone to consider their actions in the past month and honestly assess if it needs correction. PM me (do NOT post them here) with concerns about the thread. I do not want messages that complain about specific people unless the situation is a reportable offense, or unless you have already come to me about the issue. This is NOT a drama fest - there will be no flame wars or accusations. This is only about coming to terms with each other and working together.

            Moo worked very hard on this thread, he brought it to life by bringing all of you together, and while he's away it's up to all of us to take care of it, not abuse it.


            Also, in order to free up some room for guests, there will be some cuts being made to staff. If you are still able to post regularly (once or twice every couple of days, not every week) then let me know in this thread (this you can post.) If you do not let me know by the time I am finished re-vamping the thread and addressing concerns then your character will be removed from the staff list and lose his or her room. You will be "let go" in the RP, and if you wish to return then you will need to RP out the process of returning to the Cafe, explaining your absence, and asking for your job back.

I've just been pretty busy planning and such for the Christmas Event so I'm not as active as I am when not planning but I'd really like to stay. I don't post lately because I dont want to get someone stuck interacting with me and waiting for me to post while I'm so busy running around and multitasking sweatdrop
