"Excellent! The Commissar will be very pleased with your agreement...Go to the beach close to Wayne Manor and you should see a boulder, just stand in front of it and walk in when it opens."

The soldier had other things to do like trying to find Doomsday, so he wasn't going to escort them to the Commissar's hideout due to the lack of man power to search for Doomsday. Not only that, but super heroes didn't need babysitters or escorts in his opinion.

User ImageReaper glanced over at a nearby waiter, apparently the same one that had served him a moment ago and smiled slightly. "Did you hear her?" he asked motioning towards Rosie.
The waiter nodded and hurried off into the kitchen again.
Reaper grinned and turned back to glance around at the others. He sighed slightly and rubbed the side of his temple. This Greed was something else. Actually he might be fun to manipulate for a little while. What he'd use him for though, he didn't know. He took another drink from his glass, then glanced back around at the others.
So Scarecrow was wanting the cyborgs that barbequed him. Greed wanted this Commissar, some Venom, and web...
Reaper glanced back towards the doorway a moment, then grinned slightly. Speaking of spiders....that scent was familiar. Though strangely, not exactly the same as the Spider-Man he was with before. Though it was him, it had to be. There was no mistaking it. And who...Deadpool?
His grin widdened slighly and he stood from the table. "I'm gonna step out for just a second to check on something. I'll be right back." he said, glancing back at the others.
He started for the door and seen the waiter coming out with Rosie's order. He gently grabbed him by the shoulder a moment. "Make sure nothing happens to my drink. I'm sure you wouldn't want to have to hassle with making me another bottle." he said with a grin, then continued to walk out the door.

He stopped outside the building and leaned against the wall to look around. The aura of fear that practically permiated the building wasn't as strong out here, so he could get a clearer sence of powers and blood out here. He ran a hand through his dark hair and tried to think. The powers were the same, and the blood seemed to be the same, but that wasn't an exact thing to go by. Deadpool didn't allow himself to be injured the last time they met. And the spider that was around here didn't seem to be injured, so he couldn't really compare it to the blood the other spider had.
Powers were the same, so that should be enough. Still....there was something just ever so slightly different about this one. Almost as if it were a clone or another version. Either way, he was curious. And Greed did say he wanted Spider-Man. Come to think of it, Deadpool and Joker had met and seemed to get along.
He straightened out the cuffs of his new outfit and dug his boot into the dirt. Well, he'd better not do anything anyway. That Strange seemed protective of the Spider and he wasn't about to ruin his bit of free time to mess with a sorcerer. And Deadpool...well, would he recognise him? He was human looking rather than skeletal, and actually had clothes rather than a raggedy cloak.
He glanced back at the doorway a moment. He could send a copy out to see... Ah, he'd wait a moment or two to see if anyone came around.

Deadpool blinked. "Beach? Okay... Which way's the beach?" He had no idea, and was more than a little annoyed that this guy in the gas mask just expected him to know his way around. Dumb a**. And who was this Commissar person anyway? Well, he'd find out when he got there. "Come on, Chris; let's go beach hunting! Actually, the last time I was on a beach, that stupid... oh, God, what was his name... Oh!" He snapped his fingers. He had to go kill Norman Osborn. There was a chance that he would be from the past, and therefore wouldn't have his new Avengers team or his Iron Patriot suit. Of course, since this wasn't continuity, it wouldn't really matter, but it was the principle of the thing.

Spider-man blinked. "Hold on, you're not going to go, are you?" he asked Deadpool, taken aback. Nobody could be dumb enough to meet someone whose henchmen sounded like crooks in a mad mafia movie.

Deadpool shook his head. "Of course not. WE're going to go. He said that you were invited too!"

Spider-man raised his eyebrows. This guy was crazy. Certifiable. What on earth had happened to him since the last time they'd fought? "Right. Because I'm really going to accept the invitation of some guy I've never heard of so that I can sit next to the mercenary who tried to kill me and watch him play footsie with his girlfriend."

"Good! I'll see you there, chibi-webs!"

Spider-man was speechless for a couple seconds. There were just too many comebacks for a statement like that; it temporarily overloaded his brain with possibilities. "You are crazy," he said finally, "And I know crazy. I'm used to crazy. The Green Goblin was chasing me around every other week up until a few months ago, and you're crazy by his standards."

Deadpool looked over at Chris, and then back to Spidey. "... Your point?"

"Okay, fine," snapped Spider-man, "Your funeral. She is not going though," he added, nodding toward Chris. "She doesn't even have powers, does she?"

Deadpool blinked. "Well... It depends on how you classify 'powers'..."

Spider-man briefly put a hand over his eyes. "Is this how Daredevil feels around me?" he muttered, "Maybe I should appol... Nah. Seriously, though," he continued in a louder voice, "You're going to get her killed."

"No I'm not," Deadpool said reasonably, "She's read the comics. All of them. All the comics she has read are all of the comics. Yes. Words. And sometimes explanation boxes."

Hoooh boy. "Um... yeah... explanation boxes. Those can be... tricky... in the... comics."

User ImageChris facepalmed, "No I do not have any powers. Just a plain Jane human who ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time." She paused looking for the right words, why not be blunt? She looked at Deadpool then mini-Spiderman with a glarem, "Also I'm not his girlfriend." Why did everyone assume that just because she ended up with the male characters, that she was their girlfriend. Turning back to Deadpool she frowned, "And I don't think it would be a smart idea to go to that guys thing. I have a bad feeling about it." Her mom always used to say that she should trust her womanly instinct. She at that moment realized how dirty that sounded.

Spider-man blinked. "I know you're not his girlfriend; that's the joke. Who in their right mind would date--" He shook his head sharply, drawing his thoughts back into line. If you had to explain a joke... "Back on subject. I agree with the lady; I'm not going, she's not going, and as much as I would love to see you get your comeuppance, that thing that some people have... oh, what is it.. Oh yeah! A conscience! My conscience compels me to talk you out of going, too."

Deadpool pouted. "Oh, fine. You guys are no fun at all. We could just go, eat their food, mess up their secret base, and then kill them all so that they'll leave me the freak alone, but NOOOOO."
PostPosted: Wed May 20, 2009 7:22 pm

Chris looked at Deadpool, a little unsure. Half of her wanted to go with him to the base, while the other half wanted to stay in Gotham and live out her nerdy dreams. She looked between the costumed occult idols and bit her bottom lip in concentration. Choices... choices... "I say we go and if it gets too dangerous we leave..." She really wanted the food anyway. Her stomach agreed with a small gurgle.

"Is dumb suddenly contagious or something?" Spider-man asked, astonished that they were still even having this conversation, "Did you not hear the part where he said he wanted to, and I quote, 'kill them all?' Does that sound like a recipe for safety? Look, if your hungry, I'll buy you cheeseburger. Sky's the limit up to six dollars and fourteen cents; just don't follow the maniac in red and black tights!"

Deadpool stuck out his tongue. "You're just jealous because I don't look like a little kid in footie pajamas." He'd already won, or so he thought, and was very proud of himself.

"Nope," said Spider-man a little too cheerfully, "You look like a gigantic, homicidal ladybug."

"Why you smug little-"

"Where is the dead man going? We want to know, but at the same time...We don't care..."

Greed could feel something at the back of his head, like a needle, but a metaphoric needle that symbolized the same feeling that he got when Spiderman was close by, but this one had more of an 'ultimate' feeling then the usual needle. Greed didn't care about the dead guy's activities and this crowd was indeed getting boring to be around since Pixie stopped bleeding and the Scarecrow guy seemed to just keep to himself and eating that ice cream he ordered. Greed had enough with hanging out in the cool sense since hanging out in the other sense was weird. Greed decided to try to find this needle in the back of his head in the hay stack that was Gotham.

"Well, it’s been a blast and a half with you all, but we are starting to get bored and its reaching a radioactive level, like major radiation sickness that affects your strength attribute or something...S.P.E.C.I.A.L thanks to you all and now I'm off!"

Greed waved good bye to everyone and dashed for the kitchen, forgetting the bait he had chosen from earlier and deciding it was best to just search for what he wanted. Greed was technically a lunatic, but he was a lunatic with a plan and his plan involved the death of the Commissar and Venom, surprisingly both were evil, so was Greed a good guy? Of course not, he wanted to mess with good guys, maybe see what a few choice heroes tasted like since regular people’s blood tasted like Kool-Aid to him. Greed didn't travel like others in the Symbiote category, but rather he travelled Hulk-style with jumping. Greed wanted to find where this 'ultimate' needle was in this Gotham haystack, because he could just sense Web Head was nearby somewhere.

"Is it always insects with you Spiderman?!" Chris retorted referencing his Ladybug comment and crossing her arms stubbornly, "Listen here you misogynistic pig, I am a human being and I can go wherever I want with whoever I want and I don't need any superhero babysitting me! So what if I get killed? It's not like it's your problem." She turned on her heel to start stalking in the opposite direction when she forgot something, walking up to Deadpool she grabbed his wrist, "C'mon Ladybug!" She snarled. She felt like she was blowing the whole thing a bit out of proportion but she'd had a long day and no one was going to tell her what to do. Even if they have the best intentions.
PostPosted: Thu May 21, 2009 3:37 pm

"Uh... Wait..." Deadpool said as he was pulled along, trying to get his head around what she'd just said, then... "Yeah! Damn right! It's not your problem if she gets... Ladybug?"

Spider-man watched them go, for once in his life completely speechless. "Well," he said to himself after a moment, "I should have known better; after career of getting beaten with purses by the damsels in distress I've saved, I really should have known better." And it really wasn't his problem. Nope. Not in the least. The girl didn't want him there, and he certainly didn't want to be there.... "Dammit." Very quietly--he had no interest in getting told off again-- he started after the pair, slipping stealthily from shadow to shadow along the walls. As he did, a myriad of comebacks belatedly occurred to him. 'Actually, you do seem to need a babysitter, seeing as you have all the maturity and self control of the average three year old.' That one would have been good, or, 'Better bugs than massacre jokes, I always say.' Normally his smart mouth did not just cut out on him like that, but he thought he knew why it had this time around; this particular girl reminded him forcibly of Gwen Stacy, right down to the belligerent attitude and punk-style clothing, and he'd never been good at out-talking Gwen.

User ImageChris narrowed her eyes in Deadpool's direction, "Yeah. Problem with that?" She asked, a dangerous edge to her voice. After a few minutes of walking she calmed down and finally remembered where they were going. "So a beach... a beach..." Chris paused and tried to recall any beaches. Like Commissar's soldier mentioned, she could only remember one beach in Gotham and that was by Wayne Manor. Suddenly she stopped in her tracks, trying to recollect which direction the manor was in. If Bruce can see the signal clearly from his window... and the signal shines in the sky in the east... then his house must be in the west. She looked to her left and smiled, "I know which way we're going!" She said excitedly.
PostPosted: Thu May 21, 2009 5:07 pm

"Um... Yeah, actu--" He noticed the look on her face. "... I mean... No, ma'am. No problem at all." He glanced around, but didn't see any beach. Damn, maybe this was going to be harder than he'd thought; normally, the things he was looking for sort of just fell out of the sk-- Chris exclaimed that she knew which way they were going. "Wow," Deadpool said a tad blankly, "That was ridiculously convenient." He followed her eyes. "That-a-way, I assume."

Spider-man, unlike Deadpool, actually kept his attention on Chris as she thought things out. Curious, he looked over his shoulder, trying to figure out what she'd been looking at out to the east, and an almost electric jolt of surprise shot through him. Projected up onto the clouds was the gigantic image of a bat, and it was... so very familiar. He couldn't put his finger on why, but the feeling it gave him was like deja vu on steroids. After staring at it for a few seconds, he shook his head in an attempt to make that eerie feeling go away and turned his attention back to Deadpool and Chris.

Greed could just smell something a foot around this city and he was going to find it, even if he had to level every building he landed on to find it. That needle picking at his head was itching to be found and he just knew it was Spiderman who was triggering that needle, but he didn't know how to explain it. It was like some bizarre sense that picked at his rain when he wanted something and the whole situation felt like it was written in words in his mind, but Greed couldn't understand what it all meant. There was something about a needle and Greed made sure nothing connected to that. Greed kept his scouting of Gotham, still jumping Hulk style all over the city to find what he was looking for.

"Curses, I can't seem to find the Web Head I'm looking for, better move along...."

Greed wanted to find Deadpool too, since he needed to die in order for the Commissar to not get what he wanted. All of Weapon X needed to die and then Commissar would stay a useless brain in a jar like Spiderman said back when this Symbiote was the Commissar's Symbiote, but now it belonged to Aleksei, the former Rhino. Greed thought it was necessary to review that since he felt people were watching his every move, like reading it somewhere. Greed was feeling paranoid now, but he brushed that off and kept Hulk jumping and then he started to sing.

"Ooooh, wheeeeeeere oh wheeeeeeere could that Weeeeeeeb Head be? Where oooooh where could heeeeee be?"

User Image"I wouldn't trust me fully on it, but if all I know about comic books is true then yes, that-a-way." She pointed to the west and started walking in that direction. Soon she opened her mouth to say something, start a conversation or anything, but she paused, she had this creeping feeling that someone was watching them. She looked around but saw nothing but the now dark empty street. Quickly the thought left her mind as fast as it had entered it. "What exactly are you planning on doing at this guy's base anyway?" she asked with raised eyebrows. She knew how creative Deadpool could get and the idea of him single handly taking down some poors saps entire organizaion both amused and frightened her.

"Well," said Deadpool after thinking about that for a second, "I'm definitely going to eat his food. Other than that, I really have no clue. These things tend to work better if you make them up as you go along," he added sagely, conveniently forgetting all the times when making things up as he went along had backfired horrifically. As he walked along with Chris, he couldn't help but feel... observed. Whatever. Who wouldn't want to check him out? "That's right," he said to a nearby homeless man, waggling his finger, "Look, but don't touch!"

Comic books again? This chick is as crazy as D- THUD! The very foundation of the building that Spider-man clung to seemed to tremble, causing him to freeze. He waited for a few seconds, but the strange sensation didn't repeat itself. Maybe he had just imagined- THUD! Okay, no, he hadn't. What was that? A sudden, sick feeling filled his stomach as a very unpleasant thought occurred to him: Hulk. It sounded very much like the Hulk making his way across the city. Toward them. Gulp.

Okay, so Deadpool and the girl would have to survive on their own for a bit; this needed immediate attention, and he seemed to be the only superhero in the immediate vicinity. Well, he found himself thinking, It was nice having a skull; I'm definitely going to miss it. Ah, the joys of public service. Shaking his head, he shot a strand of webbing up to the next building and swung off toward the source of the thunderous noise.
