.:Corrupt Basic of Supplication Mirabilite:.

Action: If I can lie here for just a second and catch a breath---oh s**t, is the air toxic now!?
Attacking: NO ONE! The thunder dome is down!

Mirabilite seethed quietly, an electric kettle overheating at being lectured while being lofted on a jagged shoulder. Yet for all his velvety ire, he was resigned to his fate, to stick it out even as his magic dissolved exhaustingly around him. He recognized that the hands around his waist were *strong*, how the press of fingers that held terrible promises raked up fresh waves of 'what has my mouth gotten me into' fears---

Her laugh held his demise, her words were flirtation barbed in warning--and before he could utter anything else, fog filled the space and he was flying.

Wait-wait-wait-waaaiiiiii----

His landing was rough as it was soft and he was overjoyed to see he'd been spared the floor by another corrupt Senshi!! "Oughh, my poor scantily clad a**---" Mirabilite hissed mostly to himself, not wanting to admit how winded "Thanks for the save, bae! Now go kill'er dead!" sidelines cheering from his splay of knees and skirts on the floor, watching with rapt attention on an adrenaline high!

But the taste of the air changed, was twinged with familiar chemicals, a reek of poison on a magical level---Mirabilite found it took an exorbitant amount of energy to stay sitting, that it was all he could do, just to keep himself hunched above the spiraling floor filling with sounds of a graveyard battle raging on, not that it did much for his breathing, but it was a ******** start!

*There were so many order---so many more order than he'd thought he'd be facing today--where were they all still coming from!?*

And then something slipped out of the fog--someone---looked at Mirabilite with dead, familiar eyes, and Mirabilite screamed.

.:Lieutenant Zultanite:.

Action: Thanks, I hate it.
Attacking: A Bobcat, a ferret sized scorpion that wont die, this is fine. Just know that deep down inside? He's screaming--

Scorpions---

Massive ******** Scorpions---

Senshi magic was literally the worst, even if his mind knew the answer to the trick question, if he could rationally tell himself that nothing before him would likely leave him dead. He was still hardwired to react instinctually as the horrid arthropods crept and crawled upon his position. As they crawled over them and he could feel their skittering weight and the threat of sting.

Zultanite lashed out automatically, bore his teeth in silent pain as the first slap led also to the first sting, grappled and grappling with two enemies at the same time left him in dire odds and worse straights. He wasn't about to scream though, bore his teeth in determination, and brought up a knee for leverage. He would punch with numb fists if he needed to, would use his phantom feeling limb like a bludgeon, in some ways? It saved him the pain of feeling the hit as he twisted against the animalistic Senshi that had tried to pin him like paste into the floor and made a grand attempt to shove her off and gain himself some ground---

Meissa, Super Senshi of Bobcats - wailing, flailing, assailing, maybe not in that order

Meissa took the full brunt of the officer's gloves in her face as he tried to shove her off of him but she gamely hung on, using every ounce of her newfound strength to keep him pinned to the floor even as the other senshi like her managed to grab the clipboard she had clobbered the youma with earlier. Once her fellow senshi had managed to get her opponent off of her and cast some magic Meissa grinned. Ooh, wait, were those scorpions? Meissa wasn't one hundred percent sure if she was protected from these ethereal critters and it was with a marked hesitation that she gave her downed opponent a good one-two punch combo to the man's stomach, trying at least to wind him.

Oh, but she had her own magic that she could cast too but would it do well to make those around her afraid? Instead of dwelling on it Meissa felt the officer's renewed struggles to buck her off even as it seemed he was intent on lashing out at the ghostly scorpions as well. He had been stung but even as he tried to twist her off did Meissa conclude that using her magic could help garner a bit of control back over this situation. The youma was unfortunately forgotten about as Meissa brought forth an sinister smile before she landed one more punch to the lieutenant's face before summoning her most basic attack, "Meissa's Silent Stalker," before leaping clear of the lieutenant to watch her magic take form in the shape of a ghostly bobcat. She had remembered what happened the last time she had been hit ... and didn't want her magic to fail again like it had back then.

this isn't personal... but have another ghostly friend..

Sailor Scout Attack: Meissa's Silent Stalker

Meissa will create the illusion of a bobcat that circles her chosen target for twenty seconds. During the duration of the illusion the target of the attack will feel like cornered prey being stalked by a predator. They could experience fear, anxiety and maybe even the need to flee. It takes attention away from Meissa and could maybe leave the target open to being attacked. It's a distraction technique at the most. The enemy has to be inside a nine foot radius for the feeling of prey to be most effective. If Meissa is struck during the duration of the attack the illusion will end abruptly.

Meissa can use this attack three times per battle.

Squire Halle of Lysithea
Action: Entering with Lisse, summoning a massive and very cute unicorn shield to block Beatrix

After the place had been quiet and not particularly notable the night before, Halle hadn't quite dared to hope they'd find their evidence of magical happenings the night after. He'd been readying himself for weeks of staking the place out at night!

But here they were.

The strip mall was a circus of auras. Ones that felt like pages, squires, and even maybe a knight or two? And others that felt pretty comfortable too, that he could only assume came from senshi or Order. Along with plenty of corrupted senshi, and another sort of Chaos. Some of those also felt more powerful than him. Were there youma too, under all that?

Probably.

Looking over to his brother, he sighed, "The plan's changed. We'll help the number of good guys down there. But don't go right into center of things, okay? We can stay at the edge and flank whatever's nearby."

Of course, that was before they were actually in the building, entering through the staff door that slammed shut behind them, There were youma. And giant scorpions that didn't seem to be youma, somehow??? As well as just about every flavor of powered individual he'd heard of.

And a couple he even recognized. Fog filled a corridor and nearby it were that would-be murderer from the alleyway awhile back. And Almere, who was poking at a slime with her spoon, like it was dessert something.

Pointing to them he started to tell Lisse that they could sneak up quietly, to avoid the ugly bubbles in the air that were clearly bad news. But then...

Swamp Thing Senshi was running at the squire near Almere. "No!" Halle shouted, pulling from his sparkling new pool of magic as the corrupted senshi swung to attack.

A huge wooden shield slammed down in front of the squire and his cousin. The extremely colorful and cheerful unicorn shield was perhaps a touch incongruous, surrounded by fog and the grasping hands of ghosts, but it nevertheless proved a solid barrier for that moment.

Lieutenant Sodalite (playing gopher?)

Why had he even signed up for this detail? Surely there would have been a better use of his time than running every single errand in the book that was asked of him. But Kenneth knew that if you wanted to get somewhere in life you had to show that you weren't afraid to work for the chance to prove yourself. It felt demeaning to have to be the lowly gopher to this new enterprise that the Negaverse had set up but somehow, deep down, was the feeling that if the general who'd brought him into the fold could learn of his dedication to this assignment he'd been given, that there was hope for him. As it was, he felt that he'd been rather ashamed of getting the beat-down handed to him from that strange crocodilian senshi. He'd gotten energy out of the exchange; not enough of the senshi's but enough from the two civilians he'd drained before the encounter but it didn't make a difference in the humilation that lingered.

He had hoped to have this banal cleaning task that had been dumped on him finished before the end of the evening after a quick cat nap that of course. When the sounds of crashes and yells and fighting reached him, the young man woke with a tumble off the treatment room bed he'd snagged for his forty winks and landed hard on his side. Oh, there went his pride.

Powering up into the alias of Sodalite did he recoil at all the powered auras, chaos and order, that pressed down on him before he snuck into the nearest, seemingly empty room, for something else to find as a potential weapon besides his little ankle breaker only to find a youma perched on the bed and a pair of feet that looked to be sticking out from the other side. Could the youma be persuaded to go elsewhere? Or could he work with the youma to tag-team whomever it was that was currently playing 'peek-a-boo'?

The aura under the bed spoke of an order-aligned individual. This was good. The fact they were hiding, even better.

"Hey," he drawled out, "that isn't the intended use for these rooms. Beds are meant for sleeping on, not hiding under."

As he spoke, Sodalite moved to the back of the bed and grasped one of the ankles that he could see and pulled hard.

Grieve of the Collapse
Action: Maneuvering the Dullahan into a shield, taunting Makio

Watching the shades of Kaifeng's magic, Grieve's expression warmed a bit, turning nostalgic for the familiar faces. Despite that grim sort of magic, he seemed a lot happier in this life. She wondered again about his family, but it'd have to wait until later.

Hearing the visang scream, pitched to perfection and absolutely thrilling across the spine, Grieve's mood improved still further. And further more as she tested the creature that tried to hold her. The movements were small, because if she wasn't helpless then she'd much rather look helpless while she was figuring out the chill creature's limits.

Of course, with senshi, time was always the ultimate limiter. But only dead fools settled for counting down their own helplessness. And there it was. The shift and give. A heavy captor, but not a magically fixed one. If she was eternal, she could probably run with it attached.

As a basic? As a refugee recovering from centuries of a piss-poor diet? She still had enough strength to abruptly turn and shift with it, shoving the thing at her back into the huge and vile looking orb floating about.

The smell that emanated from the grasping, headless thing made her glad enough she hadn't come into contact with whatever it'd been made of. Glancing over, she found an oil slick of a figure, as lovely as they were vile, and figured the attack had come from her.

Grieve flashed a sharkish grin and tilted up her chin. "Got any more?"

Illyria, Order Mauvian (( finding her way inside 'At Ease' and moving straight to the staff room ))

There was much to be said about the oft repeated phrase of "curiosity killed the cat" that Illyria found utterly distasteful. Mainly the fact that it seemed like curious cats went and kicked the bucket after finding out what it was that struck the chord of needing to investigate. The other line of "satisfaction brought it back" was much more appealing but it also left a sour note in the back of her mind. She had no plans of croaking even if she was currently peeking her head around the corner of an alleyway that was positioned alongside a strip mall. It was not really the alley itself that had drawn her around this area but the pressing need to absolutely find out where another clue to a geocache could be hidden. One of those pesky multiple location caches had piqued her interest but as soon as she neared the first marked clue location had the her senses picked up what sounded like muffled footsteps, a door opening, then more voices. It was strange though after hearing the voices and the door opening that Illyria lost the sense that those she had heard disappeared altogether.

Darting into the alley proper did the small cream-colored Mauvian sniff cautiously at the inviting entrance way, the door seemingly still open. From inside Illyria could sense the auras of at least a half dozen or more order-aligned individuals, and more worryingly ... auras that spoke of a battle that was just seemingly beginning to play out.

Her paws paused. Was her aura small enough that she could slip in, move around unencumbered, and then slip back out with information that could be passed along to more experienced fighters?

Very very carefully did the small cat edge inside of the open door only to find it slamming closed behind her. Well, that sucked. Still, the information could be gathered and she wouldn't find it in the melee that was seemingly going on all around a place just down the hallway. What did intrigue her was the open door that proclaimed it was a staff area. Her gaze roamed back and forth between the brawl she could hear, but not really see, and what seemed like a rather peaceful promise of time spent snooping around in an area that had only one aura of chaos bearing down on her sense and the more promising auras of order before her paws carried her towards the Staff Room doorway.

There was still the precaution of peering around the corner to exactly get a sense of what was truly going on but Illyria's quick poking of her head into the 'staff room' room proved accurate. There was a battle going on in here as well but it was more muted, more serene, if one could use that word, than the sounds of battle emanating from down the hall. No, she would investigate the staff only room first, being as unobtrusive as possible given her small size and even smaller aura.

Antares grinned rather evilly when she heard the thrashing behind her even as she focused once more on the youma that had pinned her earlier. The clipboard came in seriously handy when it charged once again, the hard thwap of the office supply up side the head really sent it reeling. It destroyed the clipboard but even then Antares knew the large pointy bits of board were still useful as sad stakes.

Something she proved quickly, the youma falling to dust when the remains of the clipboard were jabbed into its head. With that taken care of, only a few seconds had passed, Antares turned around to see if the senshi who had come to her aid needed her help. Nope. She totally didn't. "Cool," The blonde noted absently as she saw the shadowy feline.

Almere, Page of Lysithea

She'd been wrong. Kaifeng was the magical kind of gothic. Just, instead of the ones with all of the clockwork technomancy, he was one of the ones with ghosts, and magic, and edge.

He was like Dracula. Or, was he? Was Dracula gothic? She could never pay attention when the teachers started talking about things like dates.

She was paying attention to the ghosts, though. She might have screamed. She couldn't tell. It just happened all at once. Almere wasn't a baby, but she also didn't really like scary things, and these were definitely that. They were also cold. One swiped at her, and suddenly she could feel ever single inch of her body prickling up into goosebumps.

"Um." she didn't want to be rude, but, "This is as scary as it looks." That might be good, though. She understood that. It would keep anyone dangerous from coming close. Although it looked like maybe someone was still trying. Something about that woman made Almere shiver, too.

A giant shimmering image of a unicorn broke her out of that train of thought, and had her glancing wildly around the room until she saw someone else in the familiar pastel colors.

"Halle!" she called out, waving so he would see where she was.

.:Lieutenant Zultanite:.

Action: This feels really ******** personal--what is that smell?! ********> R U N N I N G

He felt cornered alright, stung numb from leg to armpit and afraid for his life, normally he would've stayed, fought it out, fought back against the whiplash vertigo of getting swiped upside and down by the quick one two of the bobcat that had bounded away from him at speed. But there was the smell of flames, the sear of rising smoke and how acrid it was in his own nostrils. Suddenly the fear that made him feel small and hunted had a more real source than magic alone.

He looked into Messiah's ugly, sinister, smiling face, and met it with a shaky one of his own. The kind that didn't meet or match terrified dark eyes even as he mouthed the words-- 'I hope you all burn'

Then Zultanite was up and moving at a limp, gaining speed, hitting those doors at the end of the hallway hard enough that he nearly tripped through them. <******** this whole entire place, let it burn with them in it---'
as long as he didn't have to be one of the included 'them', it'd all end fine!

.:Corrupt Basic of Supplication Mirabilite:.

Action: Shouting FIRE!
Attacking: The Doors That Exit into the Waiting Room --

So far Mirabilite was having a no good, very bad, hecking spook-fest of a day. Bruised, felt up, dizzy from all the waxing and waning degrees of increasing magic that was going on and on and off like chaos in the miniscule space. He thought at first he was seeing things, that it was just some greater hallucinations that had latched onto his mind as he crawled to try and escape the newly appeared dead that had crept out of the massive zone of ******** you.

And then he felt the heat, smelled the smoke, realized that all his senses were still working properly *enough*, that the fire was billowing out of the Staff Room he'd been trying to keep people from entering before. He laughed, the tinkling of a chandelier crashing from overhead, he swiped his face of hysterical tears brought on by being simply overwhelmed by it all, and tittered into his half gloved hands. It lasted but a moment, before the reality of his situation set in.

I could die. Oh yes, I could definitely die in not even a pretty or deserved way! Newsflash darling draped in oh so very flammable Senshi attire even magical girls can burn! Especially the pretty ones. The thought was gallons of water on his mood, but did nothing to cool the growing temperature in the room. Mirabilite only had to think about a certain friend he had, and all the ways his skin was meshed in old-new-pathways of healing marks with edges like the worlds most roughly carved map. Marks Mirabilite did not himself envy not having on his own form---

It was fine though, he could just leave the way he'd came! Via dropping off -- and....

'Oh, merde, I can't ******** teleport myself out yet, can ********, ********, and double ******** shouted, to the Senshi that had saved him, to whoever would hear it -- a resounding note of distress that was maybe lost in the din of all the attacks and snarling youma going round, but he wasn't about to sit still and let his skirts catch on the newly floating embers. It was time to ******** go-- ghosts and smoke and all!

Meissa, Super Senshi of Bobcats - Getting out while it's feasible.

For a moment Meissa merely stood immobile as she tried to make out what it was that the agent had mouthed at her. Although even as she puzzled out things did the apparition of her bobcat disappear amidst the growing dinginess of the atmosphere. Her sigh of relief was short-lived though as she coughed rather suddenly at the acridity in the air before connecting the dots even as a lone ember drifted by.

Oh, s**t. No no no no no.

Fire!

Get out.

Follow everyone else.

Get low though.

It was that final thought that saw Meissa crouch lower to the ground before she started to follow the general direction that everyone else seemed to be heading in. As long as it was away from the location of the smoke and the flames, then things would be okay, wouldn't they?

Grieve of the Collapse
action: heading into the staff room...

Fog was soon replaced by the smoke that began to billow from the staff room just as various pieces of magics around the treatment room began to fade off, one by one. Released of her burden, whipped her head toward the staff room door, giving Urania to the count of three to exit the room.

One.

Two.

And then Grieve was heading into the smoke.

Corrupt Super of the Dullahan Beatrix

Just as she was about to try ramming the unicorn thing, it disappeared and she noticed that her fog was gone and this was actually smoke. The ghosts were gone too which meant things had gone to hell. Uh Oh. Coughing she ran back the other way towards the waiting room, following after the senshi she'd saved. "Eyy ******** unless you wanna become char let's ******** go!" She waved for all the youma and other corrupt senshi and agents to follow through to the waiting room.

She was thankful as hell that she had a mask on as she booked it and hoped some of the pastel unicorn puke people got a little singed. It was also super awesome that she'd remembered to chop her pain-in-the-a** rat's nest she called hair off before all this because it would have already caused so many problems with all these people around. Passing by all sorts of senshi, knights, and agents she wondered if she still had a chance to sink her hand into one of order people's chests. It'd be a shame if she didn't make it out of this without getting to at least touch one of their star seeds again. There were still too many of them to nab one of their seeds though which was a shame. the night was still pretty young so maybe she'd get another chance or two when the rest of the agents and senshi from her side of things came to assist.
