Phaethon! Did not! Like! That things were rising! From the ground!

He looked around himself hurriedly as he lobbed another rock at the monster, trying to see if anyone might need a healing hand already. He also tried to make sure he didn't get isolated away from as many of the others as he could stay near. Strength in numbers, power in groups, et cetera et cetera. He didn't have any interest in becoming skeleton food, if that was a thing he could become. Skeletons probably didn't need to eat, but--

Focus, Phaethon.

As soon as the rock let fly with perhaps more force than he'd used before, Phaethon was moving to get just a bit more distance between himself, the skeleton, and whatever was coming out of the earth to join the party. At the same time, he kept an eye open to see if anyone took any serious hits.

The result of the first rock was a bit underwhelming for Tikal's personal standards. Not that she expected it to immediately fell the creature--no, of course not--but she didn't get much of a chance to enjoy the relief of actually hitting it. As the rock ricocheted away into the bushes, Tikal let slip certain kinds of words instead as she saw things rising from the dirt.

She was not interested in being part of a zombie movie. Not at all--

Tikal gripped one of the talismans she'd been handed as she found a slightly larger rock and threw it as hard as she could.

Yelling very unladylike things all the while, of course.

He should have expected ghouls to start popping up, he guessed! Seemed on brand with everything else!

What he didn't expect was the band of shadowy energy that streamed from the skeleton to Encke. The ghouls became a secondary concern as the instincts that made him a good knight in the first place--or so he hoped--kicked in. "Encke! Are you alright?!"

Perhaps his concern over Encke was more than a bit of a distraction. He plucked up another rock and tossed it at the skeleton, but it was a pebble and barely pinged off the skeleton's body.

Oh he was getting angry and boy did Skoll enjoy the challenge. Those she'd buffed gave her their thanks and she grinned in reply. A ripple of purplish light shot into the giant skeleton and it roared in pain, retaliating against those who'd landed good blows on it.

Power flowed in her veins and Skoll shot forward. She dodged under one of the bursts of shadow and launched into the air, twisting her body to slam her boot into one of it's bones. The blow radiated more energy than normal, cracking bone.

Skoll landed some feet away, bouncing on her feet, as her magics faded from her limbs. Good good, she still had it, and man did she enjoy fighting big beasties like this.

Using buff magic, +9 to attack!



Cybele should have known, really. Last time that she'd faced a beastly creature in a dark forest, punching it on her own had not done much. At least this one had not responded to her poor attempt at an attack by throwing her into a tree.

The dark energy that it summoned did not look pleasant, but Cybele was not currently the target of its wrath. She took half a step back, taking inventory of the situation.

Most people were keeping their distance, flinging magic or stones at the skeleton, but there were a few up close and personal, and they could likely use a bit of help.

"Hunter's Deadly Grace," she called, and the faint brightness of her ethereal arrows stood out against the darkness of this place as they fired towards herself, the young senshi she'd gravitated to, and the cat by her side.

Hyperborea watched as purple light poured from the skeleton where it was injured. Thankfully unlike the last huge monster she fought this monster's light didn't burn her. The creature roared in distress as it sent out waves of shadowy attacks. Thankfully the attack didn't hit her but unfortunately it hit alot of the other fighters, including some chibis.

Hyperborea knew she'd have to step up her attack. In fact she felt a strange warmth spreading through her, the warmth seemed to removed the oppressive feel of the planet of silence. It felt like she could bring the full wrath of her light to bear on the undead creature. So She took out one of the talismans that Aokigahara had given them and used it to empower her magic. The star topper on her staff began to glow a brilliant silver. "Everyone shield your eyes!" Hyperborea yelled out a warning to all the assembled knights and senshi, she could restrain the worst effects of her magic to just the skeleton but still it was a large blast of light. Raising her staff in the air she unleashed the explosion of silver starlight on the surrounding area.

Tachibana let out a yelp of pain as she was struck by some black energy. It sent her sprawling on the ground as she fought back tears of pain. She forced herself to her feet. As she did a knight told everyone to shut their eyes so she did as she was told when a bright light went off, it was still intense even with her eyes shut.

With her eyes shut she reached for a a rock or a stick or anything she could throw at the monster. Eventually her hand came into contact with a rock that she chucked at the monster's general direction hoping that it hit.

Ara got struck by some magic or something from the skeleton it knocked her off her feet with an oof of pain. She struggle to feet. "Charybdis, Mr. Voyager, are you two ok?" She asked but she didn't have much time to check on them as a familiar looking knight called out to close their eyes. She shut her eyes tightly and covered Charybdis eyes for her. The bright light came a moment later it was a harsh silver that she was glad she wasn't looking directly at.

She called out her magic. However she was firing it without looking so she wasn't sure how good of a shot she had on the skeleton.

Arthuradel was hit by the skeleton's magic or whatever it was. It really hurt but she was able to still keep going. She picked up a rock and beamed it with all of her magical might at the skeleton.

When a knight called out for the group to shield their eyes she shut her eyes tightly.

Monoceros cursed under his breath, stumbling backwards and almost falling flat on his a** as the skeletal monster tossed some kind blackness at him and several others. He shuddered as it hit and for a brief moment he felt despair, but the moment it was gone... It was as if something good had followed it. Warmth sank deep into his bones and he calmed, taking a deep breath through his nose and exhaling slowly. Determination filled him and he widened his stance, crouching slightly.

He just knew they wouldn't lose. "Quill Flash," he shouted, aiming high, gripping one of the talismans tightly and channeling the extra energy into his magic. He'd only have one shot of his distance magic left before he'd have to get up close and personal to Big Ugly here, and he wanted to make sure he did some extra damage from far away first.

Nearby, someone else shouted to cover their eyes, and he shut them tight, trusting in his allies. The bright light seared the area, the inside of his eyelids turning bright orange, and he was grateful for the warning. Vaguely, he wondered if it was possible to get a kind of sunburn from that magic. He didn't think so, but the thought still struck regardless, and he resolved to make sure he had aloe at home once this was over. Just in case.

A burst of porcupine quills flies from Sailor Monoceros's hand, which can cause shallow scratches and/or minor puncture wounds. Any attempt to remove the quills before they vanish will cause sharp, pinpointed pain in the area; however, they don't sink in much deeper than skin-level. A user can choose to have this attack cause permanent damage or the injury will fade when the magic expires. This attack will last 20 seconds and can be used three times per battle.

At least Charybdis appeared to be excited about the whole thing. Him? He had worked with skeletons before, interesting to say the least, but as a Page who had to go and fight one and didn't want to break his knuckles, it would be a lot harder, He decided to throw another object at it, and only just managed to dodge the attacks that the beast had sent out. Unfortunately it appeared that there were now others as well, so they would have to spend some of their time attempting to distract the skeleton, and the other time corralling whatever else was attempting to attack them.

Another Chibi introduced herself to him. "Ara? Nice name! I'm Voyager! We'll have to talk after this!" He would have loved to talk to them a bit more before the creature had attacked, but it apparently didn't like friendly conversation!

The other Pluto Page, Gwales, that he had just met appeared to think that his idea of throwing things at it was a good one and he was glad he wasn't the only one without any magic. Whatever his magic would do, it wouldn't help in this situation because he wasn't a Squire yet!

A Senshi (Skoll) within their range apparently called out her attack, he would have to talk to her later to thank her, and he suddenly felt as though he had more energy! Though whether with that energy he was able to control his throwing better he didn't know, but it did allow him to get out of the way of one of the monsters that flew by.

Then he heard Charybdis yell out her attack and for a moment he Wondered if it was the one that had caused her trouble the other day. "If it doesn't get the skeleton, maybe it will distract whatever those other things are!" He threw another rock, hoping that it would hit, but if not then he was much more willing to punch these.

Alph held back a giggle as Imbrium attacked the skeleton with both a stick and puns. Unfortunately before he could say anything back a wave of attacks hit both him and Larissa! They weren't too hurt, but it was enough to certainly feel like they had gotten hit by something rather large.

If that wasn't enough there were now other creatures that had joined in the attack. And if that wasn't enough, another Knight, one he didn't recognize, nor did her recognize the theme of the outfit, told everyone to shield their eyes and he only just managed to do so. He took a look underneath his lifted arm, not towards the Knight, hoping that he might be able to see something. Whatever it was, he just tried to throw a rock at it, hoping he didn't hit someone else!
