He seemed pleased with her answer and the princess was happy to hear that they would be sharing some classes together. "Fair warning, I am quite the competitive one. So, just because we're friends, and happen to be in the same class, don't think I'll go easy on ya!" Everything was a challenge to Levy, even academics. Her eyes glittered with excitement - this year was shaping up to be a good one it seemed. Upon hearing the boy develop the topic of riding, her interest perked up even more. "Oh I love riding. I rode a lot as well, though I really enjoyed jumping." In fact, horses were not the only animals Levy rode. Fiore is home to many large beasts, whom the princess took great joy in taming, much to her father's displeasure.

Haidee beamed, little rainbows arcing from her cheeks as she saw the prince slip into a bit of a daze. "Everyone needs a little color now and again."The next moment, before she could think, Haidee was on the ground, someone on top of her. She let out a piercing soprano shriek as she scrabbled at the floor, trying to get up. The gray of the stone was suddenly replaced with the red of her assailant: the one who'd knocked her down was bleeding. Was it bleeding? However severe, it was visible. And if it was visible, it was bothersome. Haidee panicked, shoving the fairy princess off of her. "HOW DARE YOU!" she hollered, trying to assess the damage. Haidee's skin, pale as the canvas it was, tended to show bruises easily. Her shoulders felt bruised, and the heels of her hands definitely showed a blacker, purpler color than normal. "What in the name of—how DARE—" Haidee sputtered for words, shaken and clearly unwell. Discord in all its forms took a particular toll on the princess of Prisma, particularly as its recipient. She dragged herself onto the nearest bench, hyperventilating and searching the room for a member of staff. "HELP!"

Robert had barely finished his eggs when he heard a small crash and then a high, piercing shriek that made him was to cover his ears. He sighed and pushed himself up and walked over to the yelling princess. "Yes, alright, that's quite enough," he said, holding out a hand for her. He saw the gash on Maeza's head and helped her up as well. "Both of you, with me to the infirmary where you will tell me what happened," he said. So much for a peaceful breakfast, he though.

Do not ask the price I paid, I must live with my quiet rage Tame the ghosts in my head that run wild and wish me dead The colors were brilliant. They reminded him of the time he'd spent in the fire, where he'd earned his scars and nearly died. Dazed, Tom's reverie was broken when the color vanished, plunging him back into his dark world. "Wha—" Mae was on the ground, the colorful princess with her. She was shrieking, Rob was talking, they were leaving. "Wait!"He hadn't even gotten her name. He sat back down, sullenly watching them depart for the infirmary. Well, at least the school's time-honored tradition of "let's nearly kill someone on opening day" was only a day late. "Girls, amirite?" he flatly asked the table, grabbing his glass of juice and taking an angry sip. Pitch black, what else could go wrong? Should you shake my ash to the wind, forget all of my sins Just let me die where I lie 'neath the curse of my lover's eyes

Haidee tried to take deep breaths, taking the professor's hand and following him up and out. She cast a scowl at the princess who had caused all this. Just wait until the Count hears of the scandalizingly low-class place he's sent me. He'll have a fit.She knew full well he wouldn't, and might not even pretend to with her not around to witness it firsthand. But, if nothing else, the thought of someone getting as angry as she was gave her comfort. [Exit to Infirmary]

╔══════════════╗ Vincent Milano Ⅱ ιʟ ᴅucᴀ ᴅι ᴛᴏscᴀɴᴀ ╚══════════════╝ Vincent's lips twitched slightly at her challenge, his expression relaxing a bit. He'd never been that competitive in academics, but who knows - maybe Levy would motivate him. When she talked about jumping her horses, he nodded and grinned. "Yeah, that's fun. I race my horses through the forest and jump fallen logs. I didn't have any formal training equipment, but I love cross country riding." In truth, it was the only form of travel he did enjoy. He found himself wondering what sort of horses were available for the students to ride, and if they were allowed to ride them outside of class hours. What he really wanted was to have the chance to have his own horses here.. Would they allow that?

Levy's eyes quickly darted around, searching for the sources. Just for once, can the school year start off normally?! Just once!? Her body tensed up, ready to spring into action but it seemed as if everyone was being taken care of. The princess could recognize a few faces, but was also intrigued by the new ones. Sir Robert Auditore, the temporary Etiquette teacher was here, as well as Maeza the Princess of the Nightfairies, and who could forget Prince Tom. Levy was in no way friends with them, nor did she know Robert very well, but seeing familiar faces was nice to say the least.
Content with the fact that the matter seemed to have been taken care of, she turned her attention back to Vincent. "Sorry," She mumbled, tuning back into their conversation. "We should totally compete one day! Bet I can kick your as-" Levy stopped herself, blushing a little. Quite the potty mouth she had, but she was trying to control it. Levy may be a princess, but she was not your stereotypical princess at that. "I bet we would have a good match..." She covered, hoping that Vincent would not be offended by her harsh dialogue.

Maeza nodded silently and chose to ignore the other princess' scowl. She wiped a drop of blood that was trickling down her face before it could reach her eyes. She glanced back at Tom, only to realize he wasn't talking to her, and faced front again, following the princess and Sir Robert to the infirmary. [[Exit to Infirmary]]

Princess Galaxy Scherenchella Galaxy walked inside happily, getting her breakfast consisting of an apple, some edamame, and soy milk, since Galaxy couldn't have meat or animal products due to her native religion. She looked around for Haidee, but she was nowhere in sight. Sighing, she sat down at an empty table and began to eat, hoping Haidee was OK. Maybe she just got sick.

╔══════════════╗ Vincent Milano Ⅱ ιʟ ᴅucᴀ ᴅι ᴛᴏscᴀɴᴀ ╚══════════════╝ Vincent smirked a little, catching the words that she was trying to cover up. Quite unusual for a princess, but.. He couldn't deny that he liked it. It made her colorful and interesting, not just your average cut and paste piece of royalty. Picking up his glass, he took a quiet drink with humor in his eyes. "You're right," he said, smiling slightly. "That would be fun.. We'll have to see which of us is the better rider. Maybe they'll let us take the horses out even when it isn't class time... It would be nice if we got to ride whenever we wanted." he mused aloud, speaking his thoughts from before. If not, well... He would probably try to sneak it.

PRINCE MARKUS AND PRINCESS MEREDY "Ah, yes....hello to you too" replied Markus awkwardly, taken aback by the salute. He remained standing so Meredy would see him. "I'm doing quite well but my break was a little hectic to say the least." Seeing that Meredy had finished loading her plate, he waved her over. He sat down as Kenton left and gave a small wave to Maeza. "I'm glad to see that you are still well!" he exclaimed. Meredy looked at Markus quizzically. "Who is she?" asked Merdy. "Ah, excuse me" replied Markus. "Tom, Mae, this is Meredy. She is the princess from Kroahoenn, a country that is my northern neighbor." "We're to be wed in the spring" Meredy cut in with a pointed glance at Mae. Markus froze mid-sentence and slowly turned around. Meredy was blushing slightly but wore no expression, as if it was routine to announce engagements.

Do not ask the price I paid, I must live with my quiet rage Tame the ghosts in my head that run wild and wish me dead Tom set his teeth in an extremely forced smile. His head was already spinning from... whatever that ordeal had been. More news of marriage just set him off. "That's great," he said, trying his hardest to inject happiness into his voice. He did not succeed. "You planning on making an announcement at the ball, too?"He set down his empty glass a little harder than was necessary. Mae was gone, so there was no point hiding his discomfort. "I'll be making one too," he said. "Or rather, my fiancée will. Turns out Mae and I can't be together anymore since apparently, I'm engaged."This was a sore topic, but damned if he wasn't going to make sure nobody asked him about Mae. His attitude towards her went through odd swings that seemed directly proportional to her proximity. Right now, he didn't even want to see wings. It hurt too much. "We're not getting married for a while, though. Dad wants to make sure we both graduate alive."Should you shake my ash to the wind, forget all of my sins Just let me die where I lie 'neath the curse of my lover's eyes Seth-il Mae's been in a fight and has left the dining hall to get medical care. Welcome back to the good ol' Academy we know and love!

PRINCE MARKUS AND PRINCESS MEREDY Great job you royal..... Markus could literally taste the awkward in the air. So as it turned out he and Tom were kindred spirits in their....future engagements. Meredy seemed to be completely out of it now that her point was made. She took a sip of water and began to eat mechanically, still expressionless. "At the moment," Markus took care to select his words, "there has not been an official announcement so I cannot answer that question." Markus briefly leaned over "Sorry mate" he whispered with a quick sympathetic pat on the back. "On another note," he continued louder, "my father is expecting me to study magic other than my usual skills". Meredy seemed to perk up but continued eating. No need to explain now thought Markus as he monitored her out of the corner of his eye. There was no telling what this girl would say next.

Do not ask the price I paid, I must live with my quiet rage Tame the ghosts in my head that run wild and wish me dead "Join the club," Tom whispered back, seeming perfectly content to ignore Meredy completely. "I doubt we're the first. We should get T-shirts or something."He felt a little jealous. At least there seemed to be some sliver of hope for Markus yet, however slim it was. But, whatever the case, at least someone knew how it felt to be saddled with something so unwanted. Misery did love company. "I heard somewhere that the staff's thinking of adding magic to the course schedule," he said, raising his voice back to a normal level. "I can't imagine where they'll find a teacher now, though. It sounds like they went down to the wire on hiring more security and a replacement fighting prof. Maybe next year we can take it together."He peered over his shoulder. Still no sign of Viola. Or Sherlock. Or anyone else he really knew. "Got any plans for today?" he asked the table. "I'm bored out of my skull and need to kill something. Probably shouldn't, though."Should you shake my ash to the wind, forget all of my sins Just let me die where I lie 'neath the curse of my lover's eyes
