"Most of them!?" Ishira turned to her in shock, "No not at all most stuffed animals are no bigger than Yue." Ishira said as they stepped onto another street. He looked over to see his familiar still content in Rhaplanca's arms, "Huh, who know maybe he has really taken a liking to you."
"No fear huh?" he smirked, "We'll see, they're a little faster than stuffed animals too you know. As for them getting past me don't even think about it," Ishira flexed and then slumped at the thought of being hit with song magic, "And I won't think about being obliterated with your song magic," he nervously swallowed. They rounded another corner and at the intersection was the inn he had found 5 times today.

 "Those are some tiny stuffed animals then.." she pouted.
 "Just protect me and you won't ever have to worry about it," Rhaplanca laughed at Ishira display of macho fizzled out from worry.
 "Oh good there's the inn." She said as she looked down at Yue, "Well it looks like you kept your word," She said as they reached the door, "You're free to go," She held him out with cupped hands.

Ishira looked in astonishment as Yue, instead of flying back to his shoulders, turned back towards Rhaplanca and crawled up her arm to sit on her shoulder. Yue then promptly sniffed at Rhaplanca's hair and rubbed against her neck, pawing at her shoulder and finally rested there, "You traitor!" he moaned, "Two treats and she's got you wrapped around her finger?" He held up his sleeve to his eyes to fake cry to try and get Yue's pity. It didn't work, "Fine you little bugger. See if I ever feed you again." He smiled at Rhaplanca to let her know he really wasn't angry and opened the door for her to walk in before him.

"Sorry it really seems that I do have a way with critters. Thank you," She said was she stepped through the door. Once inside she became an entirely different person, more sure of her self. She scanned the room and made her way to the front desk. "May I help you?" the young woman behind the desk asked.  "Yes my name is Rhaplanca Fawei Ansul, I believe you have a room on reserve for me as ordered by the Goddess." She responded in her business tone. More like by request of Shun... She solemnly thought as her response reminded her of the Goddess' absence. "OH!" The young woman exclaimed, "Ri-right this way ma'am." "This young man is my vanguard he will be staying as well," She gestured at Ishira."The suite is on permanent reserve for you, ma'am, so will he be staying in the suite with you or do you want us to book him separately, free of charge of course." "The suite is more than fine for us both, thank you."
The woman led them up three flights of stairs and down a long hallway with no doors except for at the very end. She opened the door to a huge and extravagant room with gold and white themed furniture. She gave them a tour: there was three beds, two sofas, a bar, two giant glass doors that led out to one balcony and a bathroom almost the size of the room itself with a huge tub the size of a pool."Here you are ma'am, enjoy your stay you are booked until further notice from the Goddess so relax to your heart's content." On the way out the woman stole a glance at Yue as if she had been refraining from it the whole time with a puzzled look. She shut the door behind her.
"I call the bathroom first," she chimed as she ran to the bathroom, "girl's perk you know," she said as she peeked back around the corner.
She stepped back out when she remembered Yue on her shoulder, "Yue you don't have to bathe with me you know." He didn't move. She redirected her attention at Ishira, "I requested my bag to be sent here..." She looked around and noticed a blue sack on the floor by the sofa, "Ah! there it is!" She picked it up and returned to the bathroom threshold, "Yue?"

Ishira watched in amazement at Rhaplanca's total personality change. He kept silent and let Rhaplanca handle the formalities, glad that he wasn't really noticed by anyone in the inn aside from Rhaplanca's introduction of him. When they finally got to the room Ishira inhaled deeply at the sight of the room from amazement. Once the woman left he set his bag on the floor beside one of the beds. He smiled at gestured that the bathroom was all hers when Rhaplanca called it, "It seems he doesn't mind going in with you, he knows what baths are so he's not going in blind so to speak. If it doesn't bother you I won't stop him," Ishira said as he sat on a sofa.
His tummy growled and he patted it, "It seems I'm a little hungry." he pouted.

"It doesn't bother me the bathroom's pretty big he should be preoccupied with something in there." She laughed at the sound of Ishira's growling stomach, "There is fully stocked food and drinks, non-alcoholic and alcoholic, in the bar. Help yourself, if you want something hot order it via room service." She replied as she went into the bathroom and shut the door.

Despite the allure of a hot meal Ishira was too lazy to order it. Instead he rummaged through the pantry and the bottles kept on ice. He was satisfied by his choice of fish flavored biscuits and non-alcoholic sparkling grape. A burp signaled a full stomach and he stretched out on the sofa to wait for Rhaplanca to get done with her bath, "Why do girls take so long?" He sighed, nearly dosing off before he heard the bathroom door open.

Shutting the door behind her Rhaplanca set her bag on the floor to rummage for her nightgown and set it aside. Yue flew over to a counter, preoccupied with his reflection. She stripped down and wrapped a towel around her. Not feeling comfortable being in the bare in front of Yue, she didn't like anyone, man or beast, to look upon her install port. She carefully made her way to the bath.
"Ahh~ that's the ticket" she cooed as she lowered herself into the hot scented water, "Yue you should try it!" The little beast approached on all fours and turned around to test the water with his back leg. Satisfied by the temperature he continued in reverse and plopped limply into the water.
 "Oh no, Yue!" Before Rhaplanca could react to reach for Yue he has surfaced, floating on his back and kicking his lower legs to propel himself.
"You can swim," she sighed with relief, "Next time try not to scare me half to death," she said as she wiped her face with cloth. "I should probably dip my hair," she said as she reached up to undo her hair ornaments. Setting them on the side of the in-ground tub she slide under the steamy surface and bobbed back up with an heavy exhale. Her ornate hairstyle fell limp around her face and shoulders and she swept it out of her face.
 "That's way to hot!" She said as she got out of the tub, disposing of the soaked towel in a laundry hamper. Then she gathered her clothes she took off and sent them down a laundry shoot, signifying her need to have them washed and returned immediately. She made her way to the mirror and picked up an expensive gold-handled brush and began to rake through her damp hair, brushing until it was dry. Yue made his way out of the tub and back up onto the counter where he promptly shook his fur and feathers sending water droplets everywhere. It didn't really phase Rhaplanca she just mechanically wiped it up, she was deep in thought while Yue noticed her install port.
 "Who am I kidding... this is way too big for me. Find the Goddess or Rhemi? I guess whichever comes first... and both end with the same result. I'm trying so hard to remember. I've been there before when I was so young." the memories where flashes of the Goddess and Rhaplanca in a huge city, "It's not Pallieu... it's much more grand," A vision of a large Orgel, "That was where the hymn crystal is that I downloaded. But where is Rhemi?" No more memories collected in Rhaplanca's mind as she fixed her hair back into it's ornate style, "This is hopeless... and it's not like I can truly debrief Ishira on the mission. No one can know about the Goddess or my mission. What do I even tell him?"
Yue approached Rhaplanca's mid section while balancing on the counter's edge. Rhaplanca was too preoccupied to notice until his feathery ear ticked her belly button.
"Gyahh," she yelped, "You're going to give me a heart attack before the night is over!" She jumped back and hurriedly clothed herself in her nightgown. Yue jumped down and wove himself between her feet, rubbing against her, "Nyuuu~" Rhaplanca looked down at the little guy, "Don't worry I forgive you," she said as she knelt down to stroke his fur, "Just mind a lady's privacy okay?"
She went back to the tub, drained it and filled it back up with fresh water before picking up her bag and leaving the bathroom with Yue following her to the bar for a late snack.

Ishira sat up and fought the urge to yawn. Rhaplanca was rummaging through the pantry now and she was taking her time with her decision. Ishira shuffled to sit at a bar stool to shake off sleeps before entering the bath. Yue at this point had hopped onto the counter in front of Ishira's sleepy face and tapped Ishira's face repeatedly from both sides, "Yeah I know I'm spent," he whispered. He noticed Rhaplanca's nightgown and thought it was cute, "The fish biscuits aren't bad..." he told her, "not to much for the sparkling grape, non-alcoholic of course."

Rhaplanca considered Ishira's suggestions, but not for long, "I'm not too much for flavored biscuits. I think I'll just have a piece of butter bread and some water," after gathering her food and drink she sat at the other side of the bar. She took a glob of butter and spread it across a piece of freshly cut bread and took a bite.
"It's sweet butter," she remarked as she finished up the slice. Peeking up through her glasses at Ishira she noticed his fatigue, "We'll skip the debriefing until tomorrow morning. Considering how tired you look now once you come out of that bath you won't be awake much longer. I poured fresh water for you, go on," She smiled softly.

Gannon leaned back in his seat, taking a few bites of his meal, nodding in apparent approval. "Well, I'm guessin' that sister of yer's thinks a bit different. Eh? Never could figure that girl out. How about you?" The Teru turned to the Reyvateil "So, what's your plan? You were headed up to Ce Palym, right? What after that?"

She didn't know how to respond at first. But, if Mana was right, then she would have to watch herself even as she climbed up the tower. "I would be very grateful to Miss Mana if she could take me up to her home city." She said carefully. "After that, I'm not certain, but I'd heard rumors of a city further up the tower past your hometown. I want to see it with my own eyes. Maybe my family is up there as well." Hikari fell silent once again. She hadn't mentioned that it was supposedly a Reyvateil city or anything else, not wanting to draw any attention to herself. For all she knew, the people from the labs were on their way to storm the tavern at any moment. "The only thing I know is... I don't think that I should stay here much longer. Miss Mana, you don't have to take me along with you." She stood. "Thank you for everything, but I really should be leaving." She eyed the windows nervously, expecting to see soldiers at any moment heading that way to retrieve her.

Mana~
Mana shot to her feet, which considering how many drinks that she'd already had, was an amazing feat. "Hey! Wait a second. I was planning on staying the night! Ooooh, fine. You act like you're on the run or something, Hikari. Check please!" She called over to the waitress nearby. I didn't even get to play my recorder for any tips... Opportunity wasted... The only consolation was that Mana had money saved up from the last bounty mission she'd done. Still, she was an opportunist, and it bugged her to miss out on a chance to save some money. She turned to Gannon. "Well, it looks like I get to see that crazy sister of mine sooner than I wanted to." She grumbled. "I really didn't want to go back there already..." She shook her head grimly.

"Your family, eh? Sounds ta me like you'll be lookin' for Pallieu." Gannon spoke to Hikari. She was, after all, a Reyvateil. So the city of Reyvateils was probably what she was searching for. "Never been there, myself, but I heard that there was a city of Reyvateils somewhere above the Frozen Eye. They say that nothing but a Reyvateil can go there. Can't even get close. If ya want, I'm sure I can get ya up at least to the barrier. Besides," The Teru gave Mana a slight grin. "It'd give ya an excuse ta delay yer little reunion. Right?"

"Really? So then it's real..." Hikari said softly, more to herself than anyone. Relief flashed across her face briefly. She then shook her head, clearing those thoughts. "Um... how did you both know I was a Reyvateil?" She asked both Gannon and Mana nervously. "Am I that obvious?" She hoped not.
