"I'm alive for no more then a day and already I'm in another fight for the worlds life ... how fun." He chuckled noticing the two had taken off without him. "Well that's a great way to treat a friend," He said sighing flicking his white hair too the side of his face.
With another quick shift of form He went from being dark purple to a pale white, His hair darkened to blond. He appeared as if he were in human form except much paler, and a set on wings that sat flat on his back. He darted after the two at inhuman speeds until he reached a turn where he opened his wing slowing him down just enough to make the turn before immediately going full speed once more.

Sly looked up at Night when the other man spoke, and there was a tortured look in his eyes. The kind of look a person gets when they suddenly realize and regret every single slight they've ever made against a person, and then realize there's no longer any way to make it right. "I know...It's my fault...All my fault..." He said brokenly, falling back on his heels and just staring out at nothing. His last-born child, his daughter. His baby. No, no longer a baby, he thought, an image of her carefree toddler self racing through his mind for just a moment before being replaced by the memory of an angry, dissapointed teenager.
No, she'd stopped being his baby long ago. A half grown woman, he thought. His child had grown up, and he'd pushed her away, missing everything. Had she had a first love, he wondered? A secret crush? Had she ever found someone who could understand her completely, without harsh judgement? Someone who'd held her during the thunderstorms she was so desperately afraid of?
No, she wouldn't have had anyone exactly like that. If she had...if she'd had someone there, if she hadn't been so damned lonely, she wouldn't have taken the jump that had ended her life. And now she was gone...She'd never have that first love, or find that special someone who would be exactly right for her...No, she'd do nothing now...Especially not grow up...

Night scoffed At the sight of Sylvester fall to his knees, His face revealing his thoughts. "You disgust me, Now that your daughters dead you seek to make everything right ... But guess what, You still have that chance. She may be in the grasp of the Ancients, but to grip is strong enough to hold something forever." He grasped Sylvester arm lifting him too his feet. "And I know just the bloodhounds to help find her."
He let go of Sylvester arm walking through the crowd. "Alright people nothing too see but a corpse, Now scram before I turn you all into toads," His voice resembling That of Danni's tone. He looked around at the Unsure eyes. "I said MOVE," He yelled and the crowd slowly dispersed.

Sly got to his feet, casting a weary glance at Night. Who was this stranger, he thought, who understood too damned much? When he mentioned something about turning everyone into toads if they didn't move, Sly raised his head, recognizing the tone, and the words.
Suddenly he remembered the first time he'd heard the phrase. She'd been seven, locked away in the basement, already so detached from the rest of the world. It had been Christmas, and he'd been sneaking down to leave a bit of a present outside her doorway. Of course, Eleanor would've thrown a fit if she'd found out. But surprisingly, his young daughter's door had been open a crack, when always before it had been sealed tightly.
She'd been talking to someone, he remembered, and had peeked through the crack to see her on her stomach on the floor, a line of Cheerios leading from her to under the bed. There was a timid smile on her face, amusement in her eyes. "Come on, Squeakers, come on back out. I promise I'm not mad that you bit me. Come on out now. I want to play some more before Ambrose comes. You know how he likes to sneak down during the holidays. Come on, come back out, or I'll turn you into a toad. Don't think I won't, Squeakers." She said, and right on cue, and furry white mouse crept out from under the bed, and Sly bit back a shudder of disgust. Imagine, a mouse in the bedroom.
The mouse followed the short trail of cheerios, eating them up until he'd reached Danni. With a soft smile she'd stroked a pinky down his back, watching his tail flick out. With a sigh, Sly had stepped back, placing a small box at his feet before retreating back up the steps. His daughter had made friends with a mouse, he'd thought. How in the world had it come to this...
Sly snapped back to the present when Cook slowly got to his feet, Danni's body in his hands. "She'll be brought back home...The shack. This is her home, and she'll be buried here. Soon as Ialo gets back, I'll ask him to help with the f-funeral." Cook stumbled a bit over the last word, then ducked his head as he began a slow trek back towards his house.

The air in Montana had cooled considerably once the sun had gone down. Eldest, at the moment known only as Salem Harper, had told his 'daughter' several stories that night. All had been innocent fairy tales, happy endings and all. But now 'Addie' was sleeping, and Salem, Ryder, Warren, Troy, Abra, and Edmund sat around the fire, Eli at Salem's feet. Salem stared into the crackling flames, his long black hair taken from its pony tail and left to fall freely to just past his shoulders.
"Well," He said at length, and all the others immediately came to attention. "I trust you're all settling into your roles?" He inquired, and Warren was the first to nod. In truth, each one of these family members was one of the Elders. Warren was the second in command, followed by Abra, Ryder, Eli, Edmund, and Troy. And, in fact, they were all males, even the one who was posing as Abra.
As it was, Abra raised a brow, briefly studying her curves with a slight frown. "It's...different, Eldest. I've never taken on a woman's form before." 'She' said, but then the dog raised its head and actually spoke, the voice rough and gritty. "And I've never been a common house pet. We're all making sacrifices for our little warrior." He said, and Abra fell quiet. Salem agreed with a nod, then sighed and settled back in his chair.
"We've done all we can, my brothers. I've completely sealed Shadow Runner's powers, so no one will be able to trace her by auras or magical traces. Fingerprints and social security numbers have been altered, birth certificates and passports have been made...But boys, she'll regain her memories slowly, in her dreams. Even I can not be sure how many of those dreams will be nightmares. Our little warrior has led a life harder than most." He said, and Eddie nodded, his voice soft as he said,
"I wonder sometimes, Eldest, if we're doing the right thing here. Surely another prophecy will come along...Are we really doing the little one a favor, forcing her to live when she has no desire other than to die and escape from it all? What will we do if she rejects the memories? Refuses to reclaim her place within the prophecy?" He wondered aloud, and Salem sighed, rubbing his hands together.
"I've often wondered the same myself, brother. However-" He cut off suddenly at the sound of an ear piercing scream. In a moment, all of them were on their feet and rushing up the stairs into Addie's room. She was writhing on the bed, the sheets tangled at the foot of the bed. Ryder got to her just before she tossed herself off the bed, and took her into his arms, rocking her, soothing with quiet words, until she quieted and went still in his arms, her eyes popping open.
"Wh-what..." She said, confused, and Ryder ran a hand down her hair, comforting her even as she unconsciously pressed closer. "It's all right, baby. You just had a nightmare, that's all. A bad dream." He said soothingly, and for a moment Addie's head was filled with images of a tall, elegant blond woman, her face contorted in disgusted rage as she wrapped her hands around a small girl's throat. Then the image was gone, and all she saw was her brother's concerned face, and the dog's huge dark eyes as he laid his large head in her lap.
"Oh...A dream...ok...Papa?" She asked uncertainly, her hand going absently to her throat. When he raised a brow, she placed a hand on Eli's head, her expression pleading. "Can't he stay with me? Please?" She asked, and Salem smiled, patting her head. "Of course, little one." He said, even as Eli hopped onto the bed, circling the foot of it as Ryder placed Addie back in the bed, smoothing the sheets.
"Good night, love. We'll see you in the morning." Abra said gently, and Addie smiled at her mother, already snuggling into Eli, who'd placed his front paws and head on her stomach, protecting her. In moments she was asleep again, leaving her family to watch her with a mixture of anxiety and worry.

((Looking this over, it seems that Boom And ImEx are the next people who need to post, I'm sure we're all looking forward to seeing what happens next, no?))
((Also, I'm going to make an announcement here: I'm working on the next arc of MFHS so I'd like to finish the Enlil Corp. arc as soon as possible. There will be some not-so-surprising surprises and hopefully a return to normalcy within the school, as I'd like to focus more on the students and the teachers again rather than any other exterior plots. And relax, I haven't forgotten about Danni. I have plans for her too! PM me if you guys have any questions, and I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability!))

((Sounds good Neon, I would very much love for things to return to normal ... Not really LAUNCH THE NUKES!!!!))
Night spat in disgust at Sly's pathetic position. "I've only seen you as a useless enemy, Now your grieving like a useless ally. I was her guardian ... and dame it I couldn't do anything to save her." He approached Sly still annoyed at his sudden care for his daughter.
"that girl praised you, loved you, held on to the hope that you actually cared, Altho I can't see why." He stopped a few feet away from sly. "So what are you going to do, Sit around and show how much you care by giving Danni a funeral? too late to show her that kind of care." He tone turning sarcastic and taunting.
"Just to let you know Cook loved her more then you, trust me I saw everything ever since you stepped foot on mystic fountain's Soil ... In the conference room, behind the school where you abandoned her, And now here. I was there for it and it disgusts me, just like dark magic to your family." He turned his back waiting for a response, Hoping to evoke something from her original father, cause without help he Knew he wouldn't be able to find Danni let alone help her.

As the shock went through his body, several mechanisms within Set blew. Whatever function they had served, they were now entirely useless. He began to convulse violently before falling to his knees, wheezing as though he was dehydrated. He scrambled to a wall and dug desperately through the metal plates before ripping a massive pipe out. The pipe belched a torrent of some unknown liquid, and Set pressed his lips against it and began to drink rapidly; whenever his stomach had reached capacity, the excess was jettisoned through a series of valves on his ribs.
"Let's keep moving, this is over." he muttered. He had changed form once again, and now appeared to them as some sort of ancient soldier; what nation or culture this body had originated in seemed lost upon the onlookers. He stepped over to Ophiuchus and placed his hand on his back as they began to walk towards the door Nathan had gone through. He glanced back at Set once more before looking again to Ophiuchus. "I find it sick what they did to that child. The poor kid has no mind of his own anymore, no control over his body or his actions. That pipe supplies the entire building, keeps everything running in the coldest winters." They stopped walking momentarily. "He's drinking antifreeze."

((WTF That's disgusting! Set! Bad boy! Don't drink that!))
Ophiuchus stared sadly at what used to be Set. "Wait a moment." Ophiuchus walked up behind Set and thrust his hand right through his back while he was preoccupied drinking. Ophiuchus severed Set's spinal cord with the blow, but that wasn't the goal. When the Serpent wrenched his bloody hand back, a glowing vapor of some sort was trapped in his grip. Ophiuchus muttered a spell in the language of the Ancients, and the vapor solidified into a pearl, which Ophi pocketed. He returned to Riser's side, and did not comment on his actions, which by most people's standards would be murder.

"You blew the receptors in his head with that jolt of yours, he couldn't feel or even taste the death he was bringing upon himself so why bother with a mercy killing?" He looked to the lifeless body. "You made more of a mess than the antifreeze would have..."

"I was always more sentimental than you, you know that," Ophiuchus pointed out. "I'm hoping I can at least salvage his soul, perhaps give him new life." Ophiuchus walked up to the door and turned around. "Well?"

"Well there's a problem with this plan of yours," he muttered as he looked back to the body. "After searching through this place, I came across a few interesting facts. That kid there? Although he believed he was 18, he was only around a year old. These twisted ******** have been growing genetically altered kids in tanks like that one there. Set and his brother aren't real people, they weren't before and the living one still isn't. They were fabrications pumped with false knowledge. Hell, the entire reason those cybernetics worked so well with his body is because the people here made that body, they knew exactly how to take it apart and modify it."
At some point in the conversation he had managed to snatch the pearl away from Ophiuchus' possession. "This isn't even a soul." He threw the pearl into his mouth and crunched down on it. "Whatever you phased out of him, it's glucose based. Congratulations Serpent, you saved a ball of sugar."
"I know I'm not the most benevolent being, but even I have standards. These people are breaking all the wrong rules, and they will be punished by a vengeful god."

Alec saw Luna coming up to him, and was mildly surprised at her change. He figured she was different somehow, he just wasn't expecting a werewolf was all. But when she motioned for him to jump on her back, Alec simply shook his head. "I was only running so I didn't lose you. But now..." And this was when Alec grabbed on to the wall and made a large surge of electricity burst from his hands and legs. Alec's body immediately stuck to the wall, and Alec used the coursing energy to, literally, bolt himself forward. Alec was now moving almost as fast as lightning, zooming down the corridors and up the stairs at an alarming rate. Alec used his earpiece to talk back to Luna. "I'll meet you on the upper floors!"
