She was up and running again. She'd happened to look up into the sky and catch sight of Gannon flying off in a direction. "Looks like he found a lead." And so, Mana made to follow him, even if she looked and felt like she was about to keel over. She moved at her sluggish pace and realized that there were still troops over that way. "Aw, man..." Just then, she spotted Miko, the others, and a couple of new people. "Miko, guys!" Mana called, waving and panting as she made it over to them.

"Oh, boy, that's really something to look forward to," she said sarcastically. "However, whatever you think of me, I am on these girls' side." She reached into her blouse pocket felt around for two buttons. One was an emergency button while the other was a communications button. She hit the emergency button at the same time as the communications one. "ECCHRA, it has finished. You may stop the override on the Controller. Stop the song." She switched the communications over to the observation room. "Take these girls and begin preparations for more dives immediately to halt progression of the virus into their cosmospheres." She glanced up at Gannon. "There, that's the big secret. You wanna stop the F.P.D.'s from completely losing themselves? Dive. There is also a Hymn Crystal that was hidden years ago. Its functions are to reformat the memory inside Fau Pira and restore it to its original functions. Meaning that it can stop viruses, hacking and any external interferences and reboot the Server, clearing any corrupted data. However, I was not the one who hid it. And so... I have been searching for it. The Controller has to stay here, I'm afraid. She is the only one who can activate such a dangerous Hymn."

Around them, the Reyvateils had stopped singing and now some of them had collapsed while others were standing there, dazed.

Another security team had entered as well, and Naomi stepped back behind them. He could try to kill her as much as he wanted, but she had merely allowed him the chance this time. Part of her wanted nothing more than to atone, but the other part knew that she had to continue playing the villain, or in the end mankind would have nothing left. "Bring the Reyvateils back to begin the dives. Priority goes to the Controller."

Gannon…

"Over my dead body!" Gannon channeled his ice magic into the floor, making icicles erupt from the floor, piercing through the guards' boots. "Sorry, but I'm taking Hikari." The Teru quickly moved to Hikari's side and picked her up, carrying her a few steps away from the guards. He turned to Naomi. "And if I catch any of you following us, they won't be coming back." Quickly changing forms once again, he ran toward the edge of the platform carrying Hikari in a bridal carry, and kicked off the ground. He fanned his wings, gliding down toward the ground in the general direction of Mana and the others.

"Oh, really, you think it's that easy, do you?" Naomi put a hand up to her throat, and stared down at the blood that trailed down her hand. "You! Gather the rest of the F.P.D.'s immediately to begin dives. The rest of you get ready to aim! Fire at will. But don't hit the girl! We want her alive!"

The two remaining soldiers aimed their weapons and fired off several rounds. "Did we hit 'em?"

"You idiot, don't aim for the girl! The Assistant Director will kill you!"

"If anyone will be transferred it's you, for your utter lack of respect and the incapability to know your place." She adjusted her glasses and sent an icy stare in his direction. "Ready yourself for round two," she spoke evenly, ignoring the man. "Make sure to just bring them down." She had decided what she was going to do. She was going to help the F.P.D.'s. That man, nor the president cared for them, and if something were to happen to Naomi, well, there would be absolutely no chance for the girls. She wasn't that concerned with Gannon killing her, however she didn't like that man and his underhanded ways. He never seemed to care about anything but himself. Naomi realized that it might be best to keep Gannon alive as well as Hikari. I don't want to kill either of them, especially not the Controller. If something were to happen to me, those two would be the F.P.D.'s only hope...

Gannon...

"Bloody hell!" There wasn't much the Teru could do except move back and forth on his way down. But it seemed to have paid off. Gannon couldn't help but sigh with relief when the gunfire stopped. It looked as if they'd make it out of this yet.
Soon, he was only a few dozen feet up and the faces of the people down below were visible. He could even see the exhaustion on Mana's face. Now, all I have to do is get her to the others and I can-
His thoughts were interrupted by the crack of a second volley of gunshots and a searing pain in one of his wings. A roar of anger and pain erupted from him as the two began to fall. It was all he could do to get them out of free fall, but at this speed, there was a good chance it would kill them both. Seconds before they hit, Gannon jerked his body around, putting his body in between the Reyvateil and the hard ground. "Not alone..." A calm set over the Teru's mind as he said the words. He knew he had done everything in his power to save the girl that was still clutched in his arms. That was all that mattered. His mission was complete. The others would see to Hikari now...
There was a sickening thud as the Teru's body hit the ground. instantly, his arms loosened around the Reyvateil, his body rolled for a short distance then lay still. The magic controlling his transformation had been disrupted, the spell ended, leaving his true form, laying broken and bloody, on the ground. Blood flowed freely from several wounds on his body, trickling out of the corner of his mouth. His right arm had snapped and now was twisted into a sick angle away from the body. The only indication that he was still alive was the slight gurgling sound that came from the man's throat as he tried to breathe.

"How irritating," he mumbled as he wandered down the halls of the C.P.G. corp building. His stride was sure and quick with sharp turns around corners. How much longer can I keep up this charade? ...As long as I need to. He paused at a mechanical door and waited for it to slide open. Stepping into Vegna's room, he leaned against the wall just inside the entrance, "You ready? We're up," he pointed to his wrist, gesturing to an imaginary watch, "We need to move if you're in. How does the Eve of Reyvateils fancy you?" his mask retreated to show a smirk that quickly faded to seriousness, "This is a stealth mission. We will not be detected, understood?" he stared into Vegna's fiery eyes.
