It was probably for the best that the language Jade used at this moment wasn't an Earth language, and not one many would know to begin with. Kenta would be the only one possible who would understand, but that was highly unlikely due to his estranged relationship from his father. Had it been understandable, her words would have made even a sailor blush from ear to ear.
Kenta moved at the same moment she did. While he put himself between Taliman and Kaen, Jade remained on the outside of the bar. Her sudden motion had sent the stool she had been on rocking back and forth, threatening to tip for only a moment before settling again. The sketch book was thrown haphazardly to the counter top, spinning around before sliding to a stop just short of the edge, still open to the red drawing of Taliman.
Jade gave Kaen a quick overlook, to make sure she wasn't more seriously injured than she appeared at first. Thankfully, Tali had gone light on her. Her green eyes lifted sharply when the fox addressed her, a mix of emotion behind the jade orbs.
"That would be because many are either foolish, or want you dead for some reason or another." She paused, knowing which category she had been in for a while. For the time being, things had been rather civil between them. The woman did have her own personal reasons to dislike the Orinian, however.
"But her...." Jade's voice trailed off. She glanced back over to the drawing down further on the bar. Kaen had drawn that, without ever having met Taliman as far as she knew. And when he walked in, the girl had attacked him. There had to be a connection between them, but anything logical didn't work. So what the hell was going on?

"That hurts royally Madame Briefs. I was only taking your advice and being more direct with my lessons. Red has made remarkable improvements since our last meeting. Expanding her mastery would prove to make her more formidable than she already is."
As he spoke this his attention had already been drawn toward the altercation that had involved the other active persons in the club.
"Anger is apparently the dominant emotion in these parts I presume"
Crossing his arms over his chest he smiled broadly. Snippets from the surveillance orbs he had viewed gave him some insight into what was going on. It also made it all the much more obvious that his presence would not help in such a situation.
Sighing inwardly he sat atop a bar stool quickly producing his flask.

Rolling her eyes at her surrogate brother the mage returned her attention to Red.
Tilting her head at the kitsune's uncharacteristic interest anyone in the club, a smirk cracked over her lips.
"Uh yes there brothers, though one wouldn't know at first glance. Their personalities and physical features are like night and day. Had I not been told I likely would not have believed it myself."
Gnawing on briefly on her lower lip as if trying to remember something else to say.
"The one you see here can be very antagonistic in many cases. Thus the broad relationship he has with just about everyone is bad."
Straightening her perspective with a wry smile she smirked.
"Why the sudden interest?"
It was hard to gauge how Red would react to such questioning, but it was not often she got to tease anyone outside her guild.
((Glad to see so many people popping out of the wood work. Everyone seems so busy these days. Its kind of disconcerting))

She accompanied her statement with the slightest of nods in Sasha's direction, neither pride nor humility coming out of her voice. Whatever his opinion on her progress, it did not seem to matter much to her at the moment.
Instead, Red returned her attention to Epithany, explaining the differences between two demons of similar kinship but separate canine families. A look at the mother or father would probably sort the matter out quickly. She nodded in understanding, releasing a low hum of consideration in return.
Preempting her natural inclination to fall into her own thoughts, Epithany asked her question in turn. She focused on her fellow mage as though seeing her for the first time, again betraying nothing as she did so. In short order, she responded, her answer probably less helpful than it should have been.
"He doesn't seem casual."

Raising her eyebrow at the other mage's reply she tilted her head once again.
"Hmmm...I don't suppose he is. They at least share that trait. Or perhaps it depends on the circumstance."
Licking her lips she grew silent not sure what to say next, having been caught off guard.
"Truthfully you could say very few individuals are very casual in this establishment."
Looking past the red head she glanced toward the elder Kitsune nursing a drink.
"Yeah everyone seems to be some form of drifter. Myself included."

Again she failed to exhibit any feeling, although she seemed to be turning thoughts over, if that is how silence can be interpreted. She turned to Sasha, who seemed to be content simply having a drink than actually drinking it. Then, she scanned the other four creatures at the bar, measuring them briefly, before turning back to Epithany.
"He probably does not drift. Nor do the others, I think. Not here. Wherever else they may go perhaps. On the other hand.."
Whether she was deliberating on the proper words to use, or just recollecting her thoughts, her speech faded. Her tail swung slowly to the left, growing tense as though it would crack at any moment, and as before, she looked at something beyond her environment momentarily. Briefly her body was alert, but her mind was careless of the vulnerabilities. Then, in an abrupt manner, she slackened, and she tossed her head back in the direction of the one eyed man.
"Purpose is perhaps an obsession for him."
