I grew up watching the last cpl of seasons before it went off the air. Yes guys I am old. I didn't remember liking it to much. I really got into it when my dad got the first season on DVD. I would come home from work and be bored , so I started watching it. I really got into it because up untill then the only that I had seen didn't have the original cast in them. So I was seeing ppl like Radar , Henry , Trapper and Frank for the first time.

I've watched it for ages, since I was around 7-ish I think. I used to compain I'd miss the Simpsons, but got into the show and had seen every episode (except the last one) in the space of a few months.

As for the last one, Paramount decided not to show the last one until they were sure as much of the country as possible had seen the whole series, so continued to play the episodes over and over for around 3 years, until they FINALLY played the last one.

RingleaderOfTheTormentors As for the last one, Paramount decided not to show the last one until they were sure as much of the country as possible had seen the whole series, so continued to play the episodes over and over for around 3 years, until they FINALLY played the last one. I suppose that would explain why scripts were recycled in different episodes. idea There were two different episodes where Colonel Potter had a Colonel friend that he'd known for decades, a colonel who walked into an area and started giving orders to some platoon leader to attack the enemy when it wasn't necessary, resulting in a bunch of wounded and outraged soldiers. It happened that Colonel potter would have to write a negative report about his colonel friend to eyecorps that would keep him out of combat, and the end result might be his friend turning his back on Potter. It struck me as odd that a script was tweaked slightly and used over again. I appreciate the explanation, though, Ringleader. It cleared something up. 3nodding

I've been watching the show for as long as I can remember (and, unfortunately, Trapper John: MD). It was only when my grandmother was dying and my mom amd I would get home really late from the hospital and the only thing on would be M*A*S*H. I would watch it every night with her, and when my grandma passed (oddly, ten years ago today. Which is probably why I'm on here and watching M*A*S*H on dvd) it just stuck. I even got the Radar teddy bear tattoo a few months ago because of it all (but not on my tushie. I'd post a pic but it might violate ToS because it would contain side-boob.). I miss my Grandma... I'm gonna go watch my DVDs

Hey, I remember watching Trapper John, MD. Didn't like it as much as the real thing (M*A*S*H with Wayne Rogers as Trapper. To me, he was better than whoever it was that played Trapper in Trapper John, MD).
Sorry guys, I'm bored out of my mind at work so I'm reading through old threads and posting in them.

I don't remember how long ago it was, but I watched my first episode after my mum bought season 1 on DVD. The first episode I watched was The Long John Flap. I remember watching the part where Hawkeye and Trapper confront Henry about him having their long johns. I know that I didn't know who anyone was and I didn't have the faintest idea what was going on.
Sadly, being too young and living in Britain, I've missed the programs all together on TV. I think there might still be re-runs, but only on some obscure digital channel that I don't get at 4am or something.

I got into M*A*S*H a year or two ago. My mom watched reruns all the time, and I'd come in occasionally, and eventually I got addicted. xD
