Ishira
Ishira looked puzzled, "What is a funbun?" Regardless that Ishira couldn't smell the deliciousness as Yue could, Yue flew down to Rhaplanca and gingerly took the treat and ate it in mid air. Satisfied, Yue flew close to Rhaplanca awaiting her to hold him, "Nyu," he announced his permission. Ishira was astounded, "Bribery works on you? Man, why didn't I think of that?"

Mana~

"I dunno... maybe it's just 'cause you looked so gloomy sitting there. It's hard to enjoy a meal as a patron when somebody's sulking in the corner." Mana shrugged. "So, Hikari's your name? It's nice." She grinned. "You don't really have much survival experience or people skills out in the big, bad world, do you?" She sighed, her expression turning somber. "To be honest, you just looked like you needed help and what kind of a person would I be to ignore someone in need?" I would be no better than all of the full-blooded races, always picking on the halfbreeds... Her gaze softened as she looked at Hikari. "You're a third-gen, aren't you?" Looking at the girl, she could sense it, somehow. In a way, this girl had probably shared some of the same experiences with discrimination.

Hikari~

Her eyes widened in surprise for a brief second, but she quickly covered up her surprise. "I don't know what you're talking about..." Hikari said warily. "I don't see how you could make assumptions like that..." She glanced back and forth. If everyone in there were to find out that she was a third-generation Reyvateil, then she might draw unwanted attention to herself. For some reason, her pursuers seemed to want her for experimentation because she was a third-generation Reyvateil. But then again, all Third-Generations with her seemed to be treated like that. Which is why Hikari found herself running. She didn't want to stay in the labs after witnessing the horrors that she'd seen.

Gannon…
It was about mid afternoon when Gannon finally found a tavern. It had been a while since he rested or grabbed anything to eat. Now was as good a time as any. The fact that he was completely broke didn't deter him in the slightest. Instead, he walked right in to the establishment and made his way toward the bar. On the way, he must not have been paying attention to where he was walking and ended up bumping into a fellow traveler on his way out. “Watch ‘ere yer goin’, Boy!” The traveler slurred as he yelled at Gannon. From that, as well as the smell of the scruffy looking man and the way he was swaying as he stood there suggested that he had been drinking in the tavern for a while. Geez… Someone sure started early… “Oh, I’m sorry, Sir. Never been here before. Guess I just got distracted by something’ over there.” He waved his hand vaguely off to the side. “Won’t happen again. I promise.” The drunk patron glared at the Teru for a moment, maybe wondering if he should make a bigger deal out of it, but must have decided against it because he mumbled something under his breath and headed out the door. “Guess I should be more careful,” Gannon seemed to say to no one in particular as he walked up to the counter and took a seat. He pulled out a money pouch that seemed to be pretty full and glanced inside. Satisfied with what he saw, he transferred the Leaf into his own pouch before tucking it safely inside his pocket. He tossed the other man’s bag onto the tavern floor a few seats over, just incase the fellow came back. After all, it wasn’t his fault if the drunk couldn’t remember where he left it. Soon the tavern maid made her way over to him and informed him of the specials. He ordered a baked fish dish and tossed a few coins on the counter that would more than pay for anything he’d want that day before making it clear to the woman behind the counter that if he liked what he got, there would be even more for her. After she left to fill his order, the Teru glanced around the room, a look of slight boredom on his face

_________ NoaahThe first thing Noaah could remember thinking was, Protect the Goddess. It was his duty, afterall, his life's reason. The new information which had taken days to upload into his body was buzzing about inside of his mind like a flickering, dead television channel. He remembered having been awakened before, a long time ago, but he couldn't remember anything prior to that... He remembered a lab... A city of screaming people, but everything went blurry... Everything lead back to the lab. The lab was his home.
Noaah's eyes opened slowly, sparkling, sky-blue eyes that were trapped behind a metal helmet, his vision blurred and dulled by the grey glass in front of his face. He let out a soft cry as he felt something twist and pull out of his Install Port, most likely the wire from which they'd been injecting his body with data from. The wire moved out of the hole in his suit, his mechanized armor closing a metal gate down in the hole, to stop his Install Port from being visible and in harm's way. It was right above his backside, but that was a secret. His feet were touching the ground inside the holding cell, a glass tube in which he'd been floating in prior, unconcious. It seemed the life sustaining liquids had been removed from the tube, to allow him to walk around, maybe even exit.
Just as he thought this, a sound like high-pitched screaming made him turn his attention to the side of the tube, seeing the glass move backwards, and then slide over, a door opening to let him pass. With no other choice but to go, Noaah walked towards it, his body, which was encased in protective armor, shivering and wobbling slightly, from lack of exercise and motion. A few men and women were looking at him, smirks on their face as they jotted down notes, scientists and reyvateils that were studying him in the name of both science and monetary power. What had they gained from doing this...? Noaah knew they'd been studying him for a long time, using him to clone a second male Reyvateil from the Goddess' DNA. For some reason, he envied the other male, getting to be born from the Goddess herself... What luck.
A few voices were speaking to him, and he nodded in apprehension, listening, but not hearing. He did as the scientists asked, moving certain parts of his body, like turning his head from side to side, lifting an arm, a leg. Finally, they asked him to speak. Anxiety struck him suddenly... What if he didn't have a voice? What if he couldn't sing? How would he protect the Goddess, if he couldn't sing? What use was a Reyvateil without a voice...?
"Was yea erra chs hymmnos mea tes cecet nosaash [I am happy to eternally become a song to shield the Goddess]" His voice was tranquil, slightly high-pitched but pleasant to listen to, like the murmur of a stream. For the first time in his nearly life, Noaah smiled. He had a voice...
He could sing. Vegna "Ma guwo gagis geeow gyen gaunji kvyeire prooth [With hatred, I vow to create the magic to torture and end the bloodshed]"
A second entity had spoken, his voice threatening, fuzzed because of the helmet. This was Vegna, the Goddess' Beta-type clone, the second male reyvateil.
[Sorry for not posting so soon, and sorry for Vegna's shortness, g2g ><;;]

Mana~

"Hey, it's okay. You don't have to be scared. Let's just say, I saw something about you accidentally. Sorry, didn't mean to pry in your life... Hey, I know, I'll let you in on my secret!" She leaned over and whispered into Hikari's ear. "I'm not a human. I'm Half-Teru." She leaned back and smiled a bit. "That's why I kinda know how it feels, if you know what I mean." Suddenly, someone came through the door and she heard a ruckus. Mana turned around, thinking she recognized the person's voice. Sure enough, it was Gannon, someone she'd known from the Teru Steppe. And he was up to his old tricks again, it seemed. Mana grinned from ear-to-ear. "Hey you!" She shouted. "Get yer a** over here!" She patted an empty seat at the table. "This one's yours!"

"What the...?" At the sound of the feminine voice, Gannon turned and was slightly surprised to see an old acquaintance. "Well I'll be... If it ain't Little Mana." The Teru stood and made his way over to the table that the two women were sitting at. He ran a hand through his silver hair where his horns used to be and wondered briefly how she could have even recognised him without his horns. "Good ta see ya again, kid. And it looks like ya made a friend, too." He turned to the blonde haired girl, a Reyvateil by the look of it, and bowed deeply for show. "A pleasure to make yer acquaintance! Name's Gannon."

Mana~

"Hey, ya jerk! How many times do I gotta say stop calling me that!?" Mana jerked her thumb over at the Reyvateil. "This shy missie is Hikari." She looked Gannon over and did a double-take at his hornless head. "So... uh... not to be rude or anything but what the hell happened to you?" She scratched her head in confusion.

Hikari~

"Eh, wha-?" Hikari gasped when Mana blurted out her name. This wasn't good. She knew her name and had correctly guessed that she was a Third-Generation Reyvateil. At this rate, Hikari feared that it wouldn't be long before they would track her down again. She knew nothing of the world outside the labs, or the issues going on down here. The only knowledge about this world that she had to go on was climbing the tower to find that supposed Reyvateil city where she would be safe. She stood abruptly. "Please excuse me. Thank you, Miss Mana. I'm happy to have met your aquaintance, Sir Gannon. Forgive me, but I must travel further up the tower. I was told by someone in here that there is a city further up. I wish to reach that city by nightfall."

Mana~

"Hey! Wai-wai-wait! You wouldn't happen to be talking about the Steppe of the Teru? City of Ce Palym, right? Eh, I wouldn't advise going up there by your lonesome, Hikari. It's a place where only full-blooded Teru are truly welcomed. Half-Teru aren't even treated that well, but they receive better treatment than someone like you." Mana didn't go into detail about Hikari's lineage because she'd seen the discrimination and the noticeable difference between the way Third-Generations were treated other than the full-blooded Reyvateils. However she figured that Hikari got the message. "Anyway, I'm headed up that way and if you want, come on and join me! Besides, it's kinda mean to Gannon here if you just bail on him after he went through all the trouble of being gentlemanly." She leaned forward in a mock whisper and added. "Even if he's not very good at pretending."

"Yeah... I got my a** handed to me a few years ago. Lost my Familiar and my horns the same day. Don't that beat all?" He was quiet for a few moments as he listened to the exchange between the two women before speaking up. "Sir Gannon? Now that's a first. I'll stick with just Gannon, thank ya very much. And if the two of you are headed in the direction of Ce Palym, I guess I could help. I'm guessin' that yer headed back home, Mana? I heard about yer Uncle." Gannon glanced at Mana's empty mug. "Celebratin'?" He would have said more, but the bar maid arrived to serve his meal

Mana~

"Oh." Mana said. She didn't have a familiar. She was from the only Teru family that didn't possess one, it seemed. And she was only Half-Teru. Either way, it was said that to lose one's familiar was a painful experience. Simply apologizing seemed pretty shallow too, so Mana simply fell quiet. When Gannon spoke again, she grinned. "Of course it's a celebration! Along this sad journey back home, I meet a brand new friend to keep me company! What isn't there to celebrate about?" She nudged the girl standing next to her. Realizing her mug was empty she called after the waitress, "Bring me another, will ya?"

Rhaplanca

"They are my favorite, little delectable cakes," She replied "I can be very persuasive with these," she winked at Ishira. As Yue descended to her, Rhaplanca calmly and slowly raised her cupped hands to him, when he gave the signal she allowed him to rest in her hands for a moment before delicately drawing him close to her chest, holding him there while stroking his long golden-feathered ears.
"Hmmhmm, it seems I have a way with critters," Rhaplanca giggled as Yue seemed quite content in her arms.
"I've never seen anything like Yue though, well any manner of beast actually. I have plenty of stuffed animals, so I just imagine that's what they look like," Rhaplanca said solemly, "So let's find that inn shall we?"

Ishira
"Persuasive huh?" He laughed, "Don't let that little fella fool you he'll play cute for the treats but just wait to you run out, he'll act like he doesn't even recognize you," he reminisced, "In fact I do believe that was the exact scenario I tried when I inherited Yue... I thought I could train him on treats, ah heh..." Ishira guiltily admitted with embarrassment. "Never seen a beast before?" He was shocked and stared at Rhaplanca for a minute, "You do know most are much bigger than a stuffed animal and dangerous right?" Ishira began leading Rhaplanca towards the inn a few streets over, "I mean some are bigger than you and we'll be seeing them out there." He cut down a back alley that smelled of cinnamon and spices, a bakery.

Rhaplanca

"A lot of my stuffed animals are bigger than me, aren't most stuffed animals like that?" She sad innocently, "Besides I'm not afraid. I have you and my song magic. I am no greenhorn when it comes to battles, I chose a Teru because you have an edge over human vanguards. Teru magic may not be as strong as song magic but it can ease my efforts slightly, allowing me to sing for longer periods. I have studied and sparred since I was young and my song duration is very impressive even when I sustain damage," As they passed the bakery in the alley and stepped onto another street she followed Ishira closely.
"Though it would be wise for you to not allow the enemy break past you. Regardless of my endurance training, song magic is unpredictable I could lose control and misdirect it at you."
