Aoibheann looked around and grimaced.
"Tck. This isn't good." she muttered backing up. She had seen things like this before and as important as blood could be, this was dangerous.
"If you'll listen to my advise, Queenling, I suggest a retreat is called for." she said.

Rosalie's features contorted in worry. "The Lord is himself, Tuomas. He wants his kingdom back and I don't blame him" She frowned, "But this is not the way to do it. He should know this.." She trailed off in thought.

The youth shook his head, stepping back and away from the blood. He wished now that he could convey his thoughts to those in the room. Perhaps then they would understand his wish for such urgency. Meeting Ilyia's gaze, he gave a grim nod hoping to find some form of communication. He listened intently to the words being spoken, nodding at Aoibheann's conclusion.
"She is right. This is not the time nor the place for a conflict. We must all withdraw quickly."

Ilyia strained her thoughts for a long moment, unable to establish a telepathic link to Tuomas, given her unfamiliarity with the young man. She frowned, though at the notion that each of them were to withdraw, a simple solution struck her mind. The light of her blade faded as she sheathed it, eyes on the young man the entire time, hoping he would understand to some extent what she would have forming in her mind.
"If that is such the case, then I for one would rather retire for the night..."
With that, and another glance to Tuomas, she headed out through the entryway, taking long strides away from the throne room.

Tuomas hesitated, knowing that it may prove to be unwise to leave the others with the previous Lord in his current state. However if events could be brought to a more peaceful close, he would need to take the chance.
"Please, I suggest we all do the same."
He gave a slight bow, backing quickly from the room.

Zarya stood there for a moment longer, torn by the struggle within her. Finally, she forced her legs to move and she left, casting a glance behind her as she did.

Damien felt guilty he could not rid Ryn, but now he knew he had changed. There was too much confusion in the air for him to move. He decided to accept any and all punishment that the previous lord would give him.

Faith jumped down from the rafters and hit Damien upside the head, "You're really going to stay here and die?"

"Leave Faith...I don't want your heart to die like mine has." Damien was unfazed by her actions. "Now go..."

Faith sighed and followed Tuomas out.

Looking down at the bloodied floor, Ari considered the options available. She knew that leaving would be the wisest course, but where could they go? If Katsuto was able to control the castle even now, then there were little places left available. She turned to Ryn, wondering what he would do before looking at the others who were following Aoibheann and Tuomas' advice.

Aoibheann could see the indecision on Ari's face and she sighed and a smirked appeared on her face.
"You forget, queenling. This throne room, and possibly the castle itself, maybe under his control, but the kingdoms is yours. As long as you where that necklace."
She looked at the former king, a devilous grin on her face. Her earlier seriousness seemed to disappear.
"Poor, poor vampire lost in the darkness. Who are you now?" She tilted her head thoughtfully. "A meer shadow of yourself it seems." she remarked tauntingly.

Spinning the blades in his hands, several times, Ryn made his way into the center of the room. Calmly, he breathed out as eyes returned to a silver color.

"I may have been one of Nyx's Bringer of Darkness, but I've broken from that. I may not have entirely exiled the powers of her Darkness, but I'm not going to just accept that as my fate. I suggest you run back to Nyx, Katsuto. I'm not about to let you kill Ari. This time, I'm going to keep the one I love away from your grasp." he said, adopting a defensive stance.

Without turning his head, keeping his eyes locked on Katsuto, he began to speak.

"Ari, I suggest getting everyone to Sanctuary. He can't do anything there, at all.."

Aoibheann's words comforted Ari, and she gave her a look of gratitude. Even as Ryn moved into a position of fighting, she took a deep breath to ease her nerves and faced the other vampire.
"Your authority here is gone, Katsuto. I'm sorry for your death and how it happened, but this is no longer your kingdom. Please leave now."
She stood tall and kept a firm footing on the floor, ignoring the blood surrounding them.

With a heavy slam, the massive double doors to the throne room closed and locked to trap all still present within. A glare of indignant fury crossed the vampire's features as he scanned each face before pausing on Ryn.
"No, I do not believe anyone will be leaving at all..."
His face darkened with intense emotion as his gaze turned to Aoibheann and Ari.
"...not until my rightful title is restored to me."
In a swift motion, he vanished from the spot to reappear behind the queen. Gripping her arm tightly, he pulled her forward to hiss threateningly at her.
"With all due respect, 'Your Highness', I will not be going anywhere."
As his nails dug into the skin of her arm, a crimson hue traveled up to the faint markings upon her neck.
"Need I remind you who it was that gave you your powers? Who it was that brought you from a miserable mortal state into one of eternal youth and life?"
With his free hand, he grasped the base of her neck and brought his fangs close to the exposed flesh of her throat.
"Like it or not, my blood runs through your veins as does the blood of all the rulers before you. I created you, Ari, and I can destroy you just as easily."

Aoibheann whiped out a pure white sword that seemed to appear out of nowhere. She pointed it at Katsu's neck.
"I don't believe it will be so easy. If you truly died, all rights to her have been forfeited." she said.
She paused thoughtfully, studying the former king.
"Am I wrong?" she asked. "Isn't that the way it is with vampires?"

Stepping forward, then vanishing into thin air, Ryn suddenly appeared behind Katsuto, the white blade glowing brightly as it slashed down swiftly towards the Vampire Lord's arm that was holding Ari's throat.

Seeing the two blades drawn against him, the vampire let two large bloody wings burst forth from his back to block Ryn's attack as well as to push back the sword at his neck. Releasing his hold on the queen, he pushed her roughly against Ryn and stepped a few paces back toward the throne.
"It seems that your supporters would have you choose death. If that is what you truly wish, then so be it."
Katsuto turned his cold gaze to Ryn.
"However, I am more that certain I will have to kill a few others before I am given such an opportunity. Isn't that correct, Kuromaru? Come then, I have been hoping for your demise ever since you set foot into my domain."
Stretching forth his arm, darkness wrapped itself around the figure before shooting out at the various occupants.
