Luferius rushed into the throne room following close behind Ari as Tuomas trailed in slightly after. He caught up to the point where the queen had paused, drawing his weapon. "That was a reckless move. It would have been much safer if you would have let Tuomas and I investigate first. Isn't that right, Tuomas?" The youth didn't answer. His attention was riveted to the throne, the last bits of color drained from his face. "Th-this cannot be!"The ominous castle Rosencroix seemed to tremble with a vast foreboding presence as all light within was suddenly extinguished. An unusual swell of power swept through the kingdom making it's presence known to all the occupants. Even as this took place, clouds began to obscure the crimson moon and a chill wind swept through the dark realm.
From the double doors to the throne room, a large bloody trail led directly to the throne. Lounging there was a figure soaked in the crimson liquid. As he saw the queen enter, a sinister grin spread over his face. Rising from the seat, he clapped slowly. "Bravo, well done. I must say, I was expecting to see my kingdom in ruins by this time. However like a true ruler, you have overcome all obstacles and kept matters orderly. Now then, I will just be taking back my position..." Stretching forth his hand, the figure made a pulling motion toward the pendant around her neck. The object lifted slightly, but nothing more. With a frown, the figure increased his power. The pendant began to glow scarlet before returning to it's original position. A calm glare centered upon the man's features as he lowered his arm back down to his side. "I see. So my decision to place you in power was one of permanence. That leaves us in an interesting predicament. The only way for me to regain my Lordship would be your death or your hand."Luferius had enough at this point. He trained his rapier at the man and snarled. "You shall pay for your insolence! Who do you think you are to speak to the queen in that manner?!" The bloodied man turned his glare on the other vampire. "So Luferius, you have switched your loyalties rather swiftly. Do you truly not recognize your Lord?" He brought a crimson arm up to examine it with nonchalance. "I suppose my appearance is not exactly what one may deem normal. No matter." A veil of darkness consumed his figure, dispersing to reveal Lord Katsuto immaculately dressed, the blood gone from his features. A slight chuckle sounded low in his throat as he turned once more to glance at all who had gathered. "Have you missed me, my friends?"

Rosalie's feet took her to the throne room. When she came to the door she looked around a bit confused as to how she got here. She was about to turn around and leave, but she stopped, hearing something she thought she'd never hear again. She threw open the door and stood transfixed. "Katsu.." She breathed, barely a whisper in the room. Suddenly there was nothing except for him. Standing. Smiling. Talking. As if nothing had changed. As if he hadn't just rose from the grave. "Katsu!" She almost screamed his name as she ran up to him and threw her arms around his waist. "Are..are you alive?! H..how.." She faltered, not really caring how. Her heart was beating so fast she could of sworn it would beat right out of her chest. Tears streamed down her cheeks. "Never again, Katsu. Don't ever do that to me again!" She choked out, hiding her face in his chest.

Ilyia bit her lip, stepping back time and again, her blade coming to bear and held behind her, ready at a moment's notice. "Just what has transpired, here?" She asked, her breath slightly heavier. One thing was certain to the Divine Creation, though. Any chance of finding information without too much conflict had just been lost.

Shuddering slightly, Ari shrank away from the intimidating figure. Something didn't seem right, even the castle itself felt different, darker. A quick look over at Tuomas only confirmed that this wasn't normal. The previous ruler was somehow darker than before and she was worried about Rosalie getting too close. Trying to keep calm, Ari tried to speak to Rosalie. "Rosalie. Something isn't right, please move back."

Appearing in a shimmering burst of light, Ryn appeared with his back towards the throne. His hair was black with blond streaks spaced throughout it. His outfit had changed drastically from the dark ensemble that he had worn throughout the years. It was now much lighter and radiated with a holier energy.
[Outfit is the one on my Avatar]
Blinking a few times, noticing everyone was looking in his direction, he scratched his head confused.
"Uh..What's everyone looking at? It's still me.. Jeez."

Luferius set his jaw in a grim line as he stepped in front of Ari. In his opinion, Ryn's untimely arrival had only served to worsen the matters at hand. A few words surged into his mind that he wished to hurl at Kuromaru, however the vampire held his tongue and addressed Katsuto. "Forgive me for not recognizing you, however my loyalties lie with the kingdom and the new ruler. Your death was untimely, that is true, but I cannot simply abandon the position assigned to me by your predecessors so many years ago. I shall serve the queen until death."
Tuomas cringed, cursing Luferius' choice of words.
The previous Lord looked down at Rosalie, gently removing himself from her embrace. His eyes scanned her face, smiling at the emotions portrayed there. He trailed a finger across her eyelid, catching a stray tear and putting it to his lips. "I had forgotten how satisfying the taste of anguish is. Thank you for reminding me." He chuckled, stepping forward around Ryn until he was nearly toe to toe with Luferius. "Oh? Until death, you say?" Without the slightest hesitation, Katsuto's hand shot forward and plunged into Luferius' heart. He gripped it tightly and ripped it from the man's chest, grinning as the dead blood dripped down to the floor. "Anything else you wish to say, foolish guard?"
Luferius's rapier slipped from his hands as he stumbled backwards against Ari. He looked up at the queen, his body already changing to an ashen hue as his blood drenched her form. "F-Forgive me...at least now...you know.. w-who you are.." With a trembling hand, he reached up once more to touch her cheek before he crumpled into dust and dissolved.

Rosalie turned away before she could see Katsu's actions. She put a hand to her mouth to stop herself from vomiting. Why was everyone warning her to stay away? What was wrong with Katsu? She didn't understand. Rosalie forced herself to look at the bloody scene. "Katsu.." She whispered and took a step forward, standing beside Ryn. Her eyes searched the vampire's back, unsure of what to do. "Katsuto?" She ventured, briefly envisioning a zombie Katsuto running around and biting everyone's heads off.

Ari's eyes widened at the gruesome sight in front of her. Now as the powerful vampire stood before her, she trembled, frozen to the spot as Luferius' dead blood dripped from her clothes and skin. There was no denying that she was afraid, but running was out of the question. She took comfort in the knowledge that Ryn was close by, but couldn't tear her eyes away to look for him. "Wh-why...?"

Ilyia took a step back, holding her blade to bear. Evidently she was caught up in more than she bargained for, but the terms of her existence often found the same. A shining silver glow overtook the blade as she measured her own empowerment through the implement. "Well if it's the only way I can tell friend from foe, it's by the death of the former..." She looked to Katsuto, her eyes narrowing the slightest bit. "Who are you, in any case?"

Aoibheann stepped from the shadows and took in the scene before her. Her face was grim as her gaze fell on the dark vampire standing before the small scattered crowd. So he was the source of the disturbingly powerful aura she had felt. Standing so close a distance to him made her skin prickle and her stomack knot. This man's very existence felt wrong, unnatural. Even for a vampire. Aoibheann stepped behind the queen, placing her hand on her shoulder. She leaned down to her ear, but kept her gaze on the dark vampire. "Be strong, Young Queen. This is the most perilous and deadly trial you will face yet." she whispered softly.

Damien had heard the commotion from the dungeons and stared in awe of the lord who had returned. This was all too confusing for him. That is until Faith appeared beside him. She was alone now and the ring on her hand was gone. Her angel had left her and now she stood with independence. She looked at Damien for answers but he had none for her. Instead he took her by the hand and spirited her away from the main crowd.
"Stay here. There's no need to hurt your heart more." Damien gave her a wink. He knew that Dark had left her and had a sense of desire to protect her now. He jumped back down and look around. Now that the lord had returned, there was confusion in his eyes, who would rule and who would he serve. His friend was dead by the lord who took him in.
Meanwhile, Faith looked down below with no sense of joy or pride that someone cared for her again. Her heart was still healing and did not want to get involved with anyone at the moment. Getting into this mess was not her intentions. She merely came back in order to see what was going on.

Ryn drew a breath in sharply, realizing what everyone had been staring at. Slowly unsheathing his twin blades, he turned towards Katsuto.
"Well now.. I guess you saved me some trouble of killing Luferius. Now, tell me something Katsuto. Did Nyx resurrect you for this whole purpose? Tch.. No matter.. I can feel her power oozing out of you." he said, calmly. There was a different air about Ryn since his return to the Castle.

A low chuckle sounded through Katsuto's throat as his eyes quickly examined all those who had gathered. Removing a small cloth from a pocket, he proceeded to wipe the blood from his hand. "It would appear that I have quite the audience. Some so very familiar and yet others who would appear to be newer residents. How flattering that all have come to witness my rise back to power. Yet so many questions have been raised up. Who? Why? How? I suppose some semblance of an explanation is in order." He turned to face Ilyia, observing the light being emitted from her weapon. "As for 'who'; I am Lord Katsuto. Ruler of this kingdom for over two millenia. Why a creature born of light is asking this or for that matter is even present in my land, that is a more appropriate question." Turning back to the queen before him, the vampire reached out and took hold of the pendant around her neck. The fear in her eyes was evident, and only empowered him further. " 'Why', you ask? You must elaborate further, child. Why have I returned or why did Luferius have to die? Perhaps all of the above? It can all be answered by this." He gripped the necklace tight, leaning forward menacingly close to her. "I am here for my rightful position. To resume the throne. Luferius was a fool for defying me and all who mimic his actions will suffer the same fate." He paused, sensing something different about her. "Yet it would appear that he has at least informed you of your true nature. Perhaps all is not a total loss." Releasing his hold, Katsuto stepped back and turned to Ryn. "And now Kuromaru once again graces us with his presence. You may not be the same as when I saw you last, yet you are still Nyx's faithful pet. Her stench is all over you. Have my guards failed to remove you from my home?" He cast a glance over at Damien before continuing. Be that as it may, you questioned 'how'. Shall I illuminate you on all the details of my revival through the blood of the former rulers? Shall I go into a full narrative of how the darkness Nyx bestowed upon me at the festival has festered and grown since I sought to defeat her? Do you wish to know how substantially my powers have grown as well, or would you prefer a demonstration?" A shroud of darkness covered the room as the walls of the castle seemed to twist and contort, oozing blood from the cracks to drip down onto the stone floor.
Tuomas shuddered, remembering something very similar that had occurred a long time ago. Cautiously, he drew close to Rosalie and put a calming hand on her shoulder. "We need to get everyone out of here, and fast. The Lord is not himself."

Ilyia lowered her blade, though her guard was far from dropped. Still Katsuto's words rang true; even she had little knowledge of why Mystriel had sent her, though the resulting explanations alarmed her quite readily. Looking to Tuomas though, her suspicions arose, the connections forming slowly in her mind. Evidently this was neither Katsuto's doing, nor Ari's, which altogether led her to suspect infinitely worse. "Preventative measures..." she thought aloud, "unsure of potential, and evidently just in time." She cast a concerned glance Tuomas' way, as though asking a thousand questions and expecting not a single answer, though enough blood had been shed; she would rather avoid any more for the night, however unlikely that seemed.

Zarya peered into the room, her eyes flashing between golden and emerald, still slitted during each color stage. She was curious as to why the spirits were rising up in her, and why the free magic threatened to overflow. She then saw what was transpiring and gasped slightly, her eyes narrowing and her hands shifting to her concealed daggers. Something beyond a disruption in the patterns of death had happened, that she could conclude, and she fought off the instinct to give in to the spiritual world and correct something that she could not.
