Angry RJL TJ the Dragon Prince Angry RJL TJ the Dragon Prince Tsu could feel that his charge was falling behind and momentarily thought about heading on without him. Bad idea. The Old Man would probably have his head. Instead, the blue haired Soul Reaper paused, allowing Haru to catch up. "You know, you fall behind like that again and Soi Fon won't hesitate to have you snatched up. You do realise that we're being followed, eh?" Without another word, Tsu began walking again. It wouldn't be long until they were at the barracks. Tsu didn't feel the need to respond. Haru new what would happen now if he wandered off. After a few moments of walking, Tsu wondered if Ukitake would be up to this much company. He knew that Yuu would be there, and Hikari too. Most likely those idiots Kiyone and Sentaro as well. And Captain Kyoraku, if Ukitake was feeling up to it. No, it wouldn't be a good idea for them to stop by just yet. Instead, they turned toward the eleventh division. "Hurry, and try to keep up." With that, Tsu used his Flash Step to dart off in the direction of his own Barracks. Tsu slowed down his Flash Step to match with Haru, growing annoyed with the student's slow speed. Soon, they were at the eleventh division. Tsu entered and made his way toward the Captain's office, making sure Haru was following.

"Ukitake-taicho, how are you feeling?" Hikari rushed over to the captain. "I'm sorry that I couldn't come sooner. I..." She trailed off and then shook her head. "Well, it's a long story but I'm here now." She bowed her head in apology. "Um... oh yeah, I'm supposed to check your condition and progress. Did you take your medicine today? Have you eaten? You know, you're not going to get all better without your green vegetables!" She smiled brightly, trying her best not to let her optimism waver. In truth, she knew that everyone in that room was probably aware that changing his diet most likely wasn't going to do much more than postpone the inevitable. She knew that medicine and her singing combined weren't enough to save him and that eventually they would lose. But Hikari didn't want to think of that. She didn't think that she could bear to face Yuu and Rukia if they were to lose their captain on her watch. She always felt as though she was missing something; not trying something. She felt as though she had to do more. She spent much of her time trying to help the captain, determined to save him. Hikari wasn't giving up yet, but honestly, the future was looking more and more bleak... She finished checking over the captain. "Well, that's good news," she said, keeping the charade up. "You certainly seem better since last time. I'm so glad," she breathed.

Kas slowly walked the streets to the park she had some reading to catch up on."but still." kas thought as she sat down on a bench under a cherry tree "theres something, i feel like theres tension in the air." kas sat on the bench for a second before she reached down into her book bag as she bent over a silver cross on a chain slipped out of her shirt and danged around her neck glittering in the sun.

Kenpachi was sitting at his desk, filling out some paperwork. Orders from the Head Captain on the situation with the academy student."Yeah? Who is it?" The eleventh squad's Captain called out. Zaraki's gruff voice could clearly be heard. Tsu was curious to see how his student would handle meeting Kenpachi. "It's me, Captain." "It's Grouch!" Before anyone could say anything else, the pink haired Lieutenant shot to the door and slid it open. "Hiya, Grouchy! Hey, is that the kid that has to follow you around? I know! I'll call him Puppy! Hi Puppy! Tsu couldn't help but smerk a bit as he glanced back at Haru. "Welcome to squad eleven."

Ukitake smiled at Hikari as she came over immediately asking how he was feeling just like everyone else always did. Like usual he just waved her worries off saying he was fine something everyone had heard way to often to believe it though he wasn't likely to stop saying it. "It's alright Hikari-fukutaicho really. Well check away. I took it yes. I ate a little like usual nothing extravagant." Ukitake continued to let Hikari check him smiling the whole time his mood never seemed to waver for even a second. Hearing the last of what Hikari had to say Ukitake gave her a small nod. "Of course it is. I think I will visit my dear friend here in a little awhile." It had been a little while since the last visit with Shunsui and it was about time he was able to talk with him again.
Yuu kept up his small smile that didn't extend past his mouth something Ukitake hadn't seemed to notice or had chosen to let Yuu keep up his fake smile for whatever reason. At Hikari's mention of Ukitake eating his vegetables to get better Yuu's eyes immediately fell to the floor as his smile dropped unable to keep it any longer. Yuu was well aware that eating differently wouldn't change anything and that somehow even medicine wasn't going to keep him alive much longer. The situation was looking more and more bleak by the moment and Yuu wasn't sure if he was prepared for the outcome. Either way after a few moments Yuu looked back up with the previous smile back on his face. Rukia had taken a seat and fell silent.

Yuki walked down a street in Karakura his Quincy cross as usual was around his wrist though was hidden by the sleeve of his shirt. He had felt a new arrival with a unique energy signature usually possessed by Quincy and as such was off to find the new arrival. Yuki needed to gauge her abilities to see if she was truly an asset in the town or if she needed to leave since he didn't feel like training a newbie. Moving to the park he spotted a girl on a bench and was about to brush her off as normal until he seen the cross from her neck stopping. 'She is definitely a Quincy.' Quickly moving away from her to stop from being seen he moved around her until he could see her back then in one swift movement used Hirenkyaku. Mid step he formed his bow and appearing beside her shot off a small arrow aimed for the chain holding the cross on her neck. A Quincy's cross was not meant to be worn there in Yuki's opinion since it left them open to attack. If the cross was freed Yuki would use Hirenkyaku to grab it before Kas had time to react. If not he would simply shoot another arrow at her to get her into action. "Hello."

Reaching into his kimono, he pulled out a piece of hard candy he had picked up back at Urahara's shop and tossed it in the general dirrection of Yachiru. "Hey! That's not very...Yay!" Forgetting the insult, the young Lieutenant dove for the candy like a cat after a mouse. "..." Captain Zaraki stood to his full imposing height and took a few steps toward the boy. "So, you're Haru Touben. Let me make one thing clear. You either learn to fight, or you die. That choice is yours. We don't have time to babysit. Got it? If you get in our way, we won't hesitate to cut you down along with our enemies."

"I see." he said responding back. After seeing the size of the eleventh captain Haru was in awe since he just heard about the captain and never saw him. "Yes." he said trying to swallow the fear.

Kas smiled and doing a back bend leaped off the bench and using hirenkyaku as soon as she hit the ground. was able to be right behind the Qunicy who had fired at her. kas wrapped her arm around his neck not to choke but restrain.. "If i were you i would not under estimate your challenger." Kas said letting go of the Qunicy as she walked back to the bench and tucked her cross back into her shirt.

Yuki used Hirenkyaku to disappear before the woman could wrap her arm around his neck moving to the bench and sitting down. The other Quincy was skilled enough or at least appeared to be but Yuki would further test her in the future. For now however he would leave her alone to do whatever and just get to know her. "You should remember to take your own advice. I am not new to fighting girl. It will take more than that to catch a true Quincy off guard. Your fast but at best I feel you could only tie me in speed. Anyway have a seat cousin." Taking an apple out of his pocket Yuki began to eat it slowly letting his arm hang off the back of the bench. "We might as well get to know each other if you are planning on staying for awhile. How old are you?"

"Nihaha..." Hikari laughed nervously, barely masking the sadness she felt. She wiped at her eyes and smiled. "Of course! I'm so silly..." She knocked the knuckles of her right hand lightly against her forehead. "Of course you'd be okay..." She turned away to compose herself a moment. "I-I promised I would sing, right? Um... It'll be a really pretty one this time, okay...?" She closed her eyes and started humming a tune, clasping her hands in front of her, losing herself in a trance as she sang. Her spirit energy rose ever so slightly and a warmth spread through the room.
"A future that weaves, and an unchangeable past...
No matter how much anguish there lies, flap your wings and cross above and beyond.
This small fragment of hope that remains in these hands, no matter what the indescretion was, I will forgive and I want to believe...
Whomever these prayers are for, I hope these feelings will linger in our hearts..."
Hikari finished singing and opened her eyes slowly, only now realizing just how many people had heard her song. Normally when she sang, the words came directly from her heart; which was most likely how her songs carried healing powers, and this time was no different. She blushed crimson and lowered her head to her feet. "Um..." At least Tsu-kun didn't hear me... That would have been awful. That sounded so dumb... "S-sorry, that just came out of nowhere." She bowed apologetically. "Um, so, yeah... Taicho... do you really think you should go visiting anyone right now... really?" She asked quickly, trying to shake her own embarrassment.

Ukitake stayed silent letting Hikari do her thing and listening to her sing without a word the usual smile on his face. As she sung her song Ukitake just closed his eyes listening to it with his soul and taking in the meaning behind the song since to most people the meaning would be obvious. When Hikari was done Ukitake was silent for a few minutes still savoring the song and when he did speak up his tone was still it's usual cheerful self though the words spoken were not. "Hikari-fukutaicho life doesn't last forever no matter how long we all live. Don't let yours end without letting him know how you feel. Love is a beautiful thing and to turn your back on it is a tragedy. So tell him. For me. Consider it a last request of sorts. At least my last request to you. I will have more for others as the time draws nearer." The smile never wavering Ukitake stood up slowly and walked over to Hikari pulling her into a gentle hug. "Thank you for the kindness you have shown me my dear." Holding for a few seconds he let go and turned to Rukia and Yuu giving each of them a hug in turn. "Thank you Rukia-san for making my last days full of laughter and Thank you Yuu-fukutaicho for watching over me when I should have been the one to watch over you. Your talks kept my spirits high even while sick." Turning from them all he returned to his seat and set back down an even kinder smile on his face than before. "I just wanted to get that over with for the moment. Thank you for being patient with me."
Yuu just stood there in shock after hearing Ukitake not knowing what to do or say for the moment. Rukia after being hugged had walked out for the moment after saying an apology. After a few moments of silence a tear flowed down Yuu's cheek as he turned away from his Captain. "Of course Taicho. No problem you are the best man I know and have ever known. It would be a shame to not give you the simple kindness you show to others. Thank you Taicho for being you. You are like a Father to me and I will always remember you. But please Taicho now is not the time for such things. You still have a long life ahead of you." Yuu's voice broke up for a few moments in the middle of it before he was able to get it under control again. Even when he finished however he didn't turn around instead pretending to be interested in something on the wall.

Her eyes widened in surprise when the captain hugged her. "T-taicho... that isn't...a goodbye...is it..." She closed her eyes but a couple of tears escaped down her cheeks. "Yuu-san is right! You're still stuck with us for a long time yet! I only sing to help you feel better after all! I can't let everyone, including you down. So... I refuse to give up, okay?" She wiped at her eyes and smiled up at the captain brightly. "And as for Tsurabisu... I think he already knows. But... never mind that. No last requests! Not yet, okay...?" Hikari pleaded. "You look so much better today... and you still have to see Kyoraku-taicho! See? Plenty of reasons to not give up, right?" She fell silent after that, realizing that she'd overstepped her boundaries. She bowed quickly. "Forgive me, Ukitake-taicho. I've said too much. It's just that... you and Hitsugaya-taicho... both... I look up to you, and I just can't... let everyone down. Especially not you."
