With a sharp intake of breath, Luferius turned to Tuomas. "Is this correct?"
Tuomas's face reddened as he looked to the floor and nodded.
"Y-yes, sir. That is the basic situation. However, I was hoping to find a better way to word it."
The vampire glared at the small girl. "Even if this is the case, how can we trust you who looks so similar to Nyx. Is this a trick?"

"I am not Nyx. I can tell you that."
The girl knelt down to take hold of the chain and examine it.
"My name is Lux. I'm Nyx's twin sister, and the leader of the Council of Light."
She looked to Ryn and Ari as she wrapped the chain in a holy light.
"Don't worry, I'll get this off soon. Just try not to give into anything...well...unbecoming."

Luferius was not about to let anything of that nature take place. Sheathing the rapier, he took up a position once more at Ari's side. He kept a close eye on Ryn while placing a protective arm on the queen's shoulder.

Snarling, Ryn swiftly grabbed Luferius' arm and removed it from Ari's shoulder as he pushed Luferius away from Ari as possibly hard as he could with all his strength.
"Don't you dare touch her like your important to her! You're only interested in her for your own sick intentions!" he said, his eyes flaring and instantly glowing red. It was obvious that the chain had heightened his levels of frustration immensely..
"I know my place as her servant, but perhaps it's you that should learn their place. You're not a guard. You're just a citizen of the Kingdom.."

The little girl shook her head and wagged a scolding finger at Ryn.
"Not now. You're making me lose my concentration."
With the same hand, she made a bubble of light form around Ryn in an attempt to keep him calm while she worked. She looked back at the chain, letting the light she emitted be slowly absorbed. After a moment, she turned to Ilyia with a smile.
"Would you be so kind as to use that blade of yours again? I think it should work this time."

Luferius slammed back into a nearby wall, wincing. He did not expect Ryn to react so strongly against him and this only further angered him. Standing back upright, a threatening growl resounded in his throat. "How dare you mock me, Kuromaru. You know nothing of my intentions, yet you speak so freely. You are nothing but a low servant in this realm, remember that!" He pointed at Leto. "Go act out your misplaced affections with that creature if you will. She seems enamored with you for some unexplainable reason." He dusted off his suit before stepping back to his normal place.
The youth looked at the small Nyx-like girl, working hard to ignore the arguments behind him. He wasn't sure what to think of the situation at hand, but only hope that all would be resolved within a short amount of time.

"Nyx's...sister?"
This was a shocking revelation as Ari looked at the little girl. The similarity to Nyx was obvious, if not a little disturbing. She turned to Ryn, seeing as the girl obviously knew him.
"You know her, Ryn?"
It was still hard to fight off the odd feelings, but she tried focusing on the current situation. She placed her hands on the bubble holding Ryn, keeping her face down to the floor as the blush on her cheeks grew even more obvious, fueled by the recent touch to her person.

Ilyia blinked in surprise, both at Ryn's sudden flare of anger, and at the sheer mass of light encompassing this figure identifying herself as 'Lux'. The growing show between Ari and Ryn was hardly any comfort either, particularly the remark relating to the life drain. Still the girl's request echoed in her mind.
"O-of course," she said, slightly paling.
With a moment's hesitation, the Divine Creation drew her blade once more and swept it across, the same extension honed on the far end of Lux' light wrapping to the chain.

The Chain snapped in half, separating Ari and Ryn from the binds of one another, along with the prolonged effects of the Chains had on the two.
Ryn turned to Ari and shrugged.
"She appeared and moved me to the Cathedral earlier. I don't even know who she is, actually." he said, then turning to Luferius and pointed at Leto, whom during his rage had been sent flying across the room.
"She's like that with everyone! She's a freaking cat! I thought she was a normal cat, not some shape shifter that turns into a psychopathic kid on catnip!"
Ryn then turned to Leto and pointed at her.
"GO BACK TO BEING A CAT! THIS IS FREAKING ME OUT!"

Breathing a sigh of relief, Ari knelt down to examine the ankle where the chains had just been.
"Thank goodness, it's gone!"
Leto just smirked at Ryn's outburst, tail twitching back and forth.
"What arrre mew talking about? I am a cat!"
She moved her paws up to her ears and wiggled her tail at Ryn.
"See? Earrrs and tail. I'm a kitty cat!"
Purring, sauntered over to Ryn.
"So what arrre we doing meow? Can we go play?"

Bowing to Ilyia, Lux gave a small smile.
"Thank you for your help."
She turned to Ryn and removed the bubble.
"As for you, I think we need to have a talk. Don't worry though, I'll have you back here soon enough."
Closing her eyes, she returned her shape to the small orb of light and cast a soft glow over Ryn. As the light dimmed, both she and Ryn vanished from the room.

Ilyia blinked once again, slipping her blade back into its sheath and stepping to the side. Her confusion had risen greatly, though her inferences ran deep. If indeed the Council of Light were at all involved in matters here, the Divine Creation had found herself in strange company indeed, let alone the situation she had become involved in.
"I really should take to more information next time..."
Then she realized. The Council of Light was a substantial enough force to deal with darknesses far surpassing those she had noticed thus far. Her eyes lit with surprise as her suspicions rose. Nyx' twin sister appearing entailed the distinct possibility of Nyx herself.
"Then again, no wonder Mystriel failed to tell me; I wouldn't have come."

Getting back to her feet, Ari gave a small frown. People seemed to be appearing and disappearing with increasing regularity. There was nothing she could do about it at the moment though.
Leto pouted, shifting back into a blue cat and licking at her paw.
"That's not fairrr. I wanted to go too."
Bounding over to the nearby window, she hopped on top of the ledge and peered out at the night below.

Luferius was more than pleased to see Ryn vanish. He had other matters to attend to and did not want to deal with the man. From the side he produced an old worn tome and flipped through it. Shutting it decisively, he walked forward and bowed once more before the queen. "My queen, do forgive my boldness but may I have a word with you?" He glanced over the other occupants in the room. "In private, if you would be so kind."

Ari blinked, looking up at the vampire. She knew that this must have something to do with her decision in bringing Ryn to the castle for punishment. She hesitantly nodded, expecting to be lectured about her choice of action.
"Yes, that is alright."
She hated being scolded for anything, but knew that her action was the best one that she could have made.
