Damn, there's so many sports anime out nowadays, it overwhelms my poor otaku heart. (I'm a sucker for volleyball and swimming sports; it's both my favourite things to do.)
I actually tried to interview people who I've told to watch SNK's anime about what they think of it at first. The reactions are priceless! Some say it's horrifying and some said they were scarred for life, but some of those who said it was mentioned that they just can't stop watching.
Like I said, I haven't really read the most recent manga chapters of SNK, but this basement thing is a bloody mystery.

Sousuke Yamazaki, I think is his last name. I know, the intense parts of the series are just really rivalry. But what gets me excited is that Makoto might get his own too, since Mikoshiba's little brother (forgot the name) specialises in backstroke! And yeah, actually if you paid really close attention to the opening of the episodes, you'll notice that in the flashbacks there seems to be events foreshadowing the conflicts each of the main characters will face. My deep analyzation is really bloody long so I'll put it in a spoiler bar.
So, Nagisa comes in first. You won't see it clearly, but if you try to squint hard, Nagisa seems to be sitting with his knees to his chest and around him are silhouettes of animals; starting from the bottom right of the screen turning anti-clockwise are butterflies, dolphin, orca, and shark, and his closed off position would point to the magazine description that Nagisa will be showing a personality that nobody knew he had. Very, very symbolic because it connects exactly with the events happening in the second novel of High Speed and tells us a lot about what might take place later. The second flashback has Haru punching the wall with an anguished face expression- I know, Haruka showing emotion? The world's ending!- which tells me that it might have something to do with Sousuke because, you've seen their interactions, he gives this bad attitude that makes Haruka feel frustrated. The third, I think since I'm only speaking from memory, is Rei walking away from the swim club towards a person that you can't exactly distinguish but I'm guessing it's Rin. The fourth one shows two hands separating. I don't need to guess who this is; it's obviously Makoto's and Haruka's, particularly Mako's foreshadowing since he hasn't had his turn. It was the fastest flashback actually, so I had to go back a few times and pause, but this little ******** strikes my deepest emotions and thoughts. (Makoto has always been the one to pull Haru up and sometimes vice versa- happened in High Speed 2- but this time, one of them's letting go.) I can't get my head together just thinking about this one! But anyway, the next one is Rin holding onto a jacket while crying, so it must be either Sousuke or Haru because it seems that only the two of them have a deeper bond with him. And the last one is Haru in which we see a tear falling out of his eye, and ******** because you also see a tall figure reflected in his pupil so my thoughts immediately go to Makoto because NOBODY MAKES HARUKA EMOTIONAL UNLESS IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE ******** BRUNET (hint: go see the episode where- SPOILER ALERT for the first series- a certain purple headed geek almost drowns, and something really screwed up happens to Mako in High Speed 2 that almost made Haru freak out).

Something I should point out is that his wings are supposed to be full size wings, for flying. The ones on his shoulders and ankles are just smaller ones. And he has a tail, but I can't find a good item for it. But there's a piece of art near the bottom that shows what his tail and wings should kind of look like. You don't have to color him that way, though. Just kinda go by that. Also this item is what's on his head and behind his back. ALSO ALSO, his feet are supposed to be clawed. I don't have an item for that either. :C

Yeah I LOVE 50% Off! Hahaha, that whole scene with Haru and (I don't remember the new guy's name yet) felt like "I hate you I might beat you up" mixed with "this is really intimate I might ravish you" and I couldn't really tell which was going to happen. XD
Haikyu? I've never heard of that. *googles* Ohh, another sports anime! I'll have to go check that one out. Yeaaahhhhh I've been reading the snk manga since like episode five or six of the anime. I think. I don't really remember for sure. I The anime didn't have very many episodes and when I watched through them all I went and read through the manga instead 'cause I didn't want to wait. I mean... The snk universe seems really horrible. And it's terrifying and heart-wrenching and awful. But after a little while you get used to it, as much as anyone can at least, in that kind of jaded war psychological thing. But then all of a sudden it's like EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG. Seriously what the ******** is in that basement?!
His name is Sousuke, silly! AND YES, BUT ITS LIKE A BATTLE FOR RIN'S AFFECTION OR SOMETHING BUT I'M NOT EVEN A HARURIN FAN (MAKOHARU IS CANON DONT TELL ME OTHERWISE). Sousuke's all like "Don't get in Rin's way," and crap in the second (?) episode and all I could think of is that things are going to get down like a ******** alien invasion. AND DID YOU KNOW THAT IN ONE OF THE MAGAZINES THAT HAD A BUNCH OF CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS OF FREE! THAT MAKOTO AND HARU'S RELATIONSHIP WILL "TRANSFORM" AND ******** IF IM NOT GOING TO GET EXCITED (AND HEARTBROKEN) FROM IT.
Haikyu in Japanese literally translates to volleyball! And I think you should try the manga first before the anime because the anime is going to kill you from waiting. Damn, there's so many sports anime out nowadays, it overwhelms my poor otaku heart. (I'm a sucker for volleyball and swimming sports; it's both my favourite things to do.)
I actually tried to interview people who I've told to watch SNK's anime about what they think of it at first. The reactions are priceless! Some say it's horrifying and some said they were scarred for life, but some of those who said it was mentioned that they just can't stop watching.
Like I said, I haven't really read the most recent manga chapters of SNK, but this basement thing is a bloody mystery.
that's right. I remember now. I still forget the rest of his name, though. Yeeaaahhhh! I'm totally a MakoHaru fan. Of course it's canon! There's no way it's not. "Chosen career path." *Mako looks at Haru wistfully* You know he's thinking something like "Haru's personal manservant/husband" I kinda ship Haru and Rin, but I see that as more of a really close friendship rivalry thing. Yeah Sousuke is all GRR STAY AWAY FROM RIN HE'S MINE or whatever. Serious s**t be happening soon. OOHHHHH??? I wonder what THAT could mean? Please let it mean romance please.
Yeah when I first started watching it, it's because it was all over Tumblr and I was like, "Okay this looks cool. What is it? I gotta go watch it." So I did. "Holy s**t! D: Nooooo!!" But I got used to it pretty quickly. Then I read through all of the manga and I got all messed up again. XD
Yeah I don't think they'll be getting to the basement any time soon. Not with everything that's been happening.
Sousuke Yamazaki, I think is his last name. I know, the intense parts of the series are just really rivalry. But what gets me excited is that Makoto might get his own too, since Mikoshiba's little brother (forgot the name) specialises in backstroke! And yeah, actually if you paid really close attention to the opening of the episodes, you'll notice that in the flashbacks there seems to be events foreshadowing the conflicts each of the main characters will face. My deep analyzation is really bloody long so I'll put it in a spoiler bar.
So, Nagisa comes in first. You won't see it clearly, but if you try to squint hard, Nagisa seems to be sitting with his knees to his chest and around him are silhouettes of animals; starting from the bottom right of the screen turning anti-clockwise are butterflies, dolphin, orca, and shark, and his closed off position would point to the magazine description that Nagisa will be showing a personality that nobody knew he had. Very, very symbolic because it connects exactly with the events happening in the second novel of High Speed and tells us a lot about what might take place later. The second flashback has Haru punching the wall with an anguished face expression- I know, Haruka showing emotion? The world's ending!- which tells me that it might have something to do with Sousuke because, you've seen their interactions, he gives this bad attitude that makes Haruka feel frustrated. The third, I think since I'm only speaking from memory, is Rei walking away from the swim club towards a person that you can't exactly distinguish but I'm guessing it's Rin. The fourth one shows two hands separating. I don't need to guess who this is; it's obviously Makoto's and Haruka's, particularly Mako's foreshadowing since he hasn't had his turn. It was the fastest flashback actually, so I had to go back a few times and pause, but this little ******** strikes my deepest emotions and thoughts. (Makoto has always been the one to pull Haru up and sometimes vice versa- happened in High Speed 2- but this time, one of them's letting go.) I can't get my head together just thinking about this one! But anyway, the next one is Rin holding onto a jacket while crying, so it must be either Sousuke or Haru because it seems that only the two of them have a deeper bond with him. And the last one is Haru in which we see a tear falling out of his eye, and ******** because you also see a tall figure reflected in his pupil so my thoughts immediately go to Makoto because NOBODY MAKES HARUKA EMOTIONAL UNLESS IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE ******** BRUNET (hint: go see the episode where- SPOILER ALERT for the first series- a certain purple headed geek almost drowns, and something really screwed up happens to Mako in High Speed 2 that almost made Haru freak out).

Oh no, the flashbacks happen in the openings of each episode! Go look and see, but they're extremely quick so you may have to pause in order to properly see.
