"Ten-thousands!?" Dimitri exclaimed. "Did you live in the middle of heavily populated fiend territory?"
Roger was also surprised, though managed not to blurt it out like his excitable partner. "You have an ability." He said. "There are many members of the Corps. who have strange powers and abilities."
"Ah," Dimitri said. "That makes sense. Is it true? Do you have some kind of ability?"

Fidessa scoffed at their reaction. "Its not a big deal. And you can say that I did live around them." She replied. "An ability? Not really. My body is my weapon through extensive martial arts training." Fidessa didn't want to disclose much more information and was keeping things vague for Kiro's sake.
"Its true, she is really good!" Tia chimed in. "We were sparring in the arena and she used all sorts of weird moves on me. I couldn't land a hit on her."

Raegar simply watched the exchange, his face passive. If what the girl said was true then she had probably killed more fiends than most corps members will ever see. If the girl had done so simply with her fists; then, it was a respectable feat. Something was different about her though he was sure of that. He just didn't know what, perhaps something in her past.
"Not bad." With that he finished the piece of jerky and slid another turkey leg off of his tray.

"Not bad?" Dimitri said. "That's all kinds of impressive. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing you in action." He turned to her then. "Maybe you could even give me a private lesson or two. You know, something close quartets."
Rojer sighed at the michevious smile Dimitri wore. He'd known the girl for all of five minutes and he was already trying to talk her into his bed.
"Maybe we should still look for another member or two for this mission. We might be able to talk one of the Vets into it." Rojer said, trying to ignore his partner's antics.

"I doubt you would last very long anyway." Fidessa teased. "Anyway, when do you plan to leave?"
Tia finally finished eating. "I think sooner you leave the better for you guys. Sorry I can't come, I'm not quite ready yet." Tia added as she stood up. "I'll see you guys around!" Tia scampered off.

Raegar nodded as the girl Tia ran off and the slight of smirks raised a corner of his mouth. "The plan was to leave within two days time, but as she said, the sooner the better. The less time we waste here, the fewer fiends will have joined the pack."

Jeeves had paused in her note taking at Fidessa's estimation of her kill count. Tens of thousands? Jeeves was tempted to pass it off as boasting, but the woman didn't follow up her claim with the usual outlandish details that would accompany such a falsehood. Jeeves made a small note to follow up with questions and study Fidessa later. She made a few more notations before tucking the small notepad into one of her many pockets and cleared her throat,"Ahem. I will need at least a day to gather my things and requisition a team of oxen to pull my mobile laboratory. In the meantime, Raegar sir, please tell me all you have observed about these fiends and their most unusual behavior."
Unlike earlier, Jeeves seems quite alert, hardly distracted at all.

"Don't count me out just yet." Dimitri said in response to Fidessa's barb. He then turned to the group in general. "Well, as long as we count Jeeves there we have our five. We could still try to talk one of the Vets into the mission, but they're pretty choosy about their missions and who they go on them with. We'd probably just be wasting time if we try and time is of the essence apparently."
"I agree. We should just call this good and get moving, either tonight or early tomorrow." Roger added.

Raegar simply blinked and said nothing for a moment as Jeeves finished talking, then nodded as he listened to Dimitri. "We have five then. Time is off the essence, so we leave tonight." He looked pointedly at Jeeves, "I suggest we all back light. I'll answer any questions I can on the road. For now I'd like to finish my meal and get ready." With that he looked down to his tray and started hungrily tearing into the food.

"I agree." Fidessa said with a nod. She mainly just wanted to get going. Going on a Corps. mission without them knowing she wasn't actually part of their organization was pretty amusing to her.

Jeeves pursed her lips a moment, then nodded,"Very well, though 'light' will have to be a relative term. I assure you that my equipment will be necessary." She turned smartly on her heel and strode away. She would have to work quickly to requisition the necessary supplies for the new mission. Internally she was doing back flips. Field missions were always exciting. A chance to catalog new specimins and new experiments, especially these fiends with their unusual behavior. This was going to be a very exciting mission.

"I guess I'll fetch my armor and meet the rest of you at the stables." Dimitri said with a sigh. He rose and turned to leave, mumbling as he did. "Barely been back for an hour. Was really looking forward to sleeping in a real bed tonight too..."
Rojer stood as well. "I'll hit the requisitions office and get us some supplies. How long will this take, round trip?"

"I'm ready to go." Fidessa chimed in. I don't have to worry about be questioned now that I'm walking around with a group of hunters and guardians.

Twenty minutes later Dimitri stood outside the stables still dressed in his finery, though he had donned a heavy worn leather belt with a hook on it from which hung a simple, and seemingly well used, flanged mace. Dimitri had two horses readied, though only one wore a saddle. Both had saddlebags though the saddle-less horse's bags bulged oddly being full of plates of heavy armor. Dimitri's shield hung from one of the bags of his riding horse.
Roger stood next to his own mount, patting its nose. His horse was also saddled and with saddlebags packed with supplies.
"What is taking that girl so long?" Dimitri asked, referring to Jeeves.

Fidessa soon came up from behind Dimitri with just one simple bag over her shoulder. As she approached she tossed and twirled a Corps. ID dagger in her hands, which actually belonged to Tia who had be robbed during their earlier spar.
"Howdy." Was all Fidessa said to Dimitri as she arrived.
